Little bit out of topic but i want to see altcoin ATH in next year after bitcoin ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) , People, who are HODLing big amounts of BTC are excited right now.I'm HODLing a small amount of BTC,so I don't care that much about whether Bitcoin is going to reach 25K USD this month or the next month. Nothing is impossible for Bitcoin in 2020,so 25K USD might be achieved somewhere around the holidays. However,I'm not happy because I can't buy cheap Bitcoins and buying at a ATH price is a very risky move. The last few winters were very bearish for Bitcoin,so I don't expect the price to go up in January and February. By the way, this thread kinda belongs to the Speculation forum.
yep people with big amount of bitcoin is smiling of his face right now specially that HOld from the early age hahahha like satoshi nakamoto, and unfortunately im not hold any bitcoin right know so yeah just see like ATH on 2017 and true buying bitcoin at current ATH is very risky maybe right know is 20K but bitcoin price is so volatile but in my opinion btc will reach 25K in the next year after price correction

Positive for them but not for us.
Stable coin themselves that are centralized can even freeze addresses. This means that they're good to go with the regulation of the government where they belong and most likely, US will control it.
Even those controlled by known exchanges, GUSD and USDC once it becomes a law.
Total Agree with this guy, because lot of stable coin using bank to collateral their money like i see on USDT using 2 bank as the main collateral and those bank can be freeze by the Government its different with stable coin using algorithm and anyway government is try regulate anything ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif)

I've just joined the forum earlier tonight (UK), so hello to everyone.
I'm not rich but have sufficient bitcoin/crypto to be wondering about the possibility of buying a modest house/property/land if crypto continues to rise next year and property prices collapse significantly. So I was wondering about the potential to buy property with crypto, not just here in the UK (preferably), but globally?
Property prices are currently high and (crazily) going higher (here), but if the anticipated collapse happens next year I want to know my options, especially if crypto goes to new ATH during that period, as I hope/anticipate. Can you buy a house with crypto, or do I need to convert to fiat (£ etc.) before I do so? What are the tax repercussions, even if I can? Etc..
Any advice/thoughts welcomed, lest I skewer myself next year. Enjoy your weekend.
first of all there's possibilities to buy a modest house/property/land but it depend on owner, are the owner accept the crypto as payment and modest house/property/land go straight to using deed for land form. and second one regulation some country allow crypto as asset not payment system like in my country. maybe in the next few year some property agent will start using crypto as payment system

what you said is true, I also gave up last year because I saw the price of bitcoin that continued to fall. after seeing the price of bitcoin now starting to rise again, I was optimistic that bitcoin would surpass ATH. i will buy bitcoin and HODL.
i know nothing about speculation things but as far i know Hodl is the key ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) i buy some altcoin back in the days and try to sell high (basic trading) and 4 month or so the price of the coin like rainfall im not giving up or try to cut loss and boom i got the profit

I do notice that some people naturally don’t allow bitcoin in any of their daily transactions even when it faster and easier, they still don’t prefer using it, I have noticed this a lot, Some classes of human,Sometimes when they are to receive money from another country like international transfer sometimes it takes 2 3 days to arrive,They will advise them to use bitcoin and they still don’t accept it even it faster and easier. Now how come we make bitcoin come to people.
i mean maybe some people scare of bitcoin cause of some bad news about drug or weapon and darkweb things that lot of going on right now ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) and not know much about bitcoin hehe First, They must have their own reasons not to use Bitcoin or any transactions paid by Bitcoin. Digital crypto is not their choice. They prefer using cash to paying online.
Second thing to say that not everyone easily approaches new technology. They feel lazy to let their mind work again especially the old generation. Bitcoin is totally new to them. Understanding how Bitcoin function is a long process and doing research about it will take a large amount of time.
The ultimate reason: In some countries, the governments don't allow to use Bitcoin in any case. They are afraid of criminals using Bitcoin for illegal activities.
and this is kind a true some county doesn't allow bitcoin at all and lot of regulation if the accept bitcoin tho and i added bitcoin and other crypto is pay the fee when they do transaction its different with paypal and other digital wallet

Just a feeling I have. It's all credit cards and dollars and shit.
Yeah, I'd rather spend the shit money and save my bitcoins, but I can't wait until I can use real money everywhere. I'd rather get paid in bitcoin and spend bitcoin.
Pumped after Paypal announce their will store bitcoin its clearly all the merchant and marketplace that accept paypal as their payment will start to accept bitcoin and i can wait site like Ebay and Amazon accept cryptocurrency as well

In addition to the good function of anonymous bitcoin when transacting and making our privacy safe from people who want to know our funds, but in other places it is very profitable for criminals because it can eliminate their tracks when making transactions such as buying drugs or weapons which are strictly prohibited by the government country. Maybe that's the negative side of bitcoin that criminals can take advantage of.
Yes Sure, remember back in the days dark marketplace like silk road using crypto as primary payment and a lot of things happen after that like big exchange got hacked and some hacker still free and + with bitcoin mixer so more hardly to tracked the bitcoin transaction

I was playing around with CoinMarketCap’s data earlier today, to see how many times (days) a certain threshold had been surpassed, with disregards to the supporting reasons and trends. I make it as follows: Year 10k 10,5k 11k 11,5k 12k 12,5k 13k 13,5k 14k 14,5k 15k 2020 100 82 57 39 8 1 1 0 0 0 0 2019 86 54 34 24 12 4 3 1 0 0 0 2018 53 46 43 33 20 18 17 16 15 12 9 2017 34 33 32 30 27 26 26 26 26 24 21
- Data as of yesterday, in USD, based on whether the High value equaled or surpassed the threshold value. - Columns represent the threshold to surpass, rows the year, inner cells the number of days on which the threshold was surpassed. Too early to tell. Nice Graph and yes still need to wait and don't panic sell i think in this point we should buy more bitcoin and sell it at 13.5 K or we can sell it on 15 K ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) and no money no party
