3701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Scams now the second largest in the world on: April 06, 2022, 12:52:52 PM
Working in finance one thing that I’ve been taught / take financial licensing exams for is how to watch out for scams, and it’s honestly never been a surprise to me that bitcoin /cryptocurrency have become such huge scam havens. So few people take the time to study how it works but think they can get rich quick so they hop in blindly.

As long as money is involved, you really watch out for scams. I agree that bitcoin will be used for this, but what I have noticed is that way back in 2016, I really saw a lot of scams using this, but people always fell for it. It is unlike now that people are aware of it and knew that it would be a scam, but here in our place, I don't know what is happening. Scammers are really approaching you in real life or real accounts on social media to present any ponzi schemes, and a lot of people got scammed by it. When they hear about bitcoin, they are eager to invest their money in it.
3702  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sign Up Bonuses on: April 06, 2022, 07:27:15 AM
$5-$10? that was low. there's a lot of gambling sites here that can give you $1000 as long as you managed to wager it by their requirement but no gambling site here would just give you bonus and let you wager it, you need to deposit first of course and if you wanted to test or try the gambling site they would give you free coins to let you test their games for free.
You are talking about welcome bonus. And there is another bonus - the casino adds some percent of your deposit, sometimes it is possible to double your deposit. But you have to make several bets to be able to withdraw it. The possible strategy to bet with the little odds just not to loose and to get an opportunity to withdraw your deposit and bonus.

Agree I remember an old gambling site way back in 2016 that had a signup bonus of $10, which you really needed to bet and win at least five times to start withdrawing your money, which I got lucky and was able to withdraw my money at that time, which I now think is kind of a disgrace that after giving you a bonus, you run away, but after a few months, I deposited again to that gambling site and started playing their games. They usually don't give bonuses if people are taking advantage of them, and they also don't have enough funds to cover bonuses. Usually, if they have low sign-ups, which means low customers, that's when they'll attract new customers by giving bonuses.
3703  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: April 05, 2022, 04:32:45 PM
I personally don’t have any kids, but I absolutely do teach my nieces and nephew about bitcoin/cryptocurrency and they actually seem to always be very interested in it to my surprise. As a kid my dad used to teach me about the stock market and that’s how I ended up falling in love with finance and learning how to do things so I would agree this is an important sentiment to teach your kids about bitcoin/finances.

I think this is a sign that you need to have a child, lol. Well, we know when someone teaches us something, mostly if it comes from our parents, we will likely fall in love with it. No one taught me about crypto or forex because I do have a busy mother (single mom) and my dad left us when my mother was just pregnant, so all I have is my mother and I am busy at work. Well, this is where I get my inspiration to try to help him. But now I do have a family and a kid, and I am starting to teach her about this and hoping that she likes it. It is really best to start them while they are young and also to become financially illiterate.
3704  Economy / Economics / Re: Sales of wedding rings are increasing on: April 05, 2022, 02:07:37 PM
The number of people who are getting married must increase ring sales, in my country wedding rings have become a tradition, if there is no wedding ring then the wedding will not happen, the custom in my country is that many people sell it. all their jewelry after they were married for 2 years, because many people do not have good finances, and do not want to invest.

Well, jewelry is also an investment because it can be sold in the future if you really need money, but the ring represents love and commitment, so that is extremely important. However, since the pandemic hit, I saw that many of my friends and colleagues have also decided to get married, and I can't imagine that they are not struggling because they are still to get into a wedding. In spite of the fact that many people were struggling when the pandemic struck, many people still decided to get married despite the events taking place in their surroundings. I really want to get married, but I don't have the financial means to do so because weddings are expensive.
3705  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Three thousand Bitcoin ATM Installed In first quarter Of 2022 on: April 05, 2022, 01:08:29 PM
Is someone from the forum who's into this business? I've got someone, a stranger, who got to message me how to setup this type of business but eventually he's gone and I think that person has an ill intention to scam me. But as for the information that he has talked to me about this bitcoin atm business, it makes sense to me and that's why I think there's a viable reason why they keep coming and being installed gradually and I think it's a good business these days if there's no one yet into an area or city.

I've seen some guides from @DdmrDdmr source that really require a lot of effort to setup, but this is good business. I will leave the link below. But first, you must determine whether bitcoin is legal or illegal in your country, because you cannot operate it if it is illegal. From what I researched, you need to first buy the bitcoin machine (you need to research any local dealers of this machine). For the US, there is Chainbytes, and then you need to register the machine for compliance. For the US, you need to register it in BTMCompliance. After registering, you need to setup the wallet and also decide where you would like to put your machine. There are a lot of tutorials online, but you really need to state where you are planning to put this so that you can find a reliable source for getting the machine and registering it.

3706  Economy / Gambling / Re: PRIMEDICE weak self-exclusion system on: April 05, 2022, 07:28:42 AM
I am new to the self-exclusion system, and I had no idea that we could use it to be forced to stop us from playing. However, with this system, it is extremely easy to circumvent if we are truly eager to play. I know some of us will say it is useful, but it isn't permanent because you will be unbanned later on, so the best and most permanent solution to this is within yourself; you must exercise self-control or seek assistance from others if this is having a negative impact on your life.
3707  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: It seems that more people taking crypto trading as full time job on: April 04, 2022, 04:47:41 PM
During the situation around the world where low payed jobs more people looking for opportnuties to work online.
And crypto is one of them options
Future trading is one of the most popular ways to make full time income.
Ifyou dont know how to trade good use good signals for spot and futures trading right now many people become traders.

Are you full time trader ?
I'm not a full time trader but crypto is really my best side job. I work as a car saleswoman and to be honest the income I get is only enough to meet my monthly needs and saving is very difficult. luckily I was introduced to crypto by my boyfriend, and he also taught me a little how to trade, so i can make enough money for me to save.

Cool! You are really earning money from trading, and I think it is stable. Well, that is really good to hear, and I hope that in the future you will go professional and earn a big profit from it. I was also into trading before, but it was not crypto, it was about forex, and it took me a year before I had a grasp on it, but I was still losing a lot. I stopped because I lost my job and really needed to find another job, so now I am hoping to get back into trading, hoping that my strategy is still working!
3708  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: imagine a world without Bitcoin on: April 04, 2022, 02:22:24 PM
98% of people want to be part of bitcoin world because of it usefulness or benefits.

A very strong and confident remark. Do you have concrete confirmation of such "statistics" or is it just your desire? Show me a link to such wonderful news. It would be a big win if bitcoin was popular at that percentage. Wink
98% of Crypto holders belong to Crypto world because of its benefits and usefulness.

Yeah, just like I thought. You should have worded it a little better because when you put it like this:

... that makes 98% of people want to be part of bitcoin world because of it usefulness or benefits.  ...

it really looks like you are talking about world population.

Because 37% of the population does not have access to the internet, the figure would not be 98%; additionally, because bitcoin is a technological advancement, there are still people that are unaware of it. But I think the OP is just stating this because he is overwhelmed that a lot of new people are now adapting to bitcoin and he noticed that everyone knows it. Let's just kinda see the other side for the OP and answer his question. I think it is still the same for me as before bitcoin was invented, but it has greatly affected the people who are earning from it.
3709  Economy / Economics / Re: WTF? Food prices expected to raise up to 50% in German supermarket. on: April 04, 2022, 01:07:55 PM
How much was 50% inflation? I know Germany is a first world country, but there are still poor people in that country. How do they manage to cope with this big rise? Here in our country, we do have a 3.7% inflation rate as of the moment, but we really feel it and, as my self is struggling, how much more than 50%? Prices here rise, and most of us, especially the poor, are unable to cope. Imagine I asked some of the kids who live nearby our house, we know they are poor about how they are. They just stated that they only eat twice a day! They skip breakfast just to save food, and then they eat lunch, and the left-overs are for dinner they are hoping that the price will go down they are always mocking to government but I agree that government has no short term effect on this! unless they are given money or food.
3710  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is a game of quantity on: April 04, 2022, 07:25:55 AM
Analysing this topic from a critical aspect and OP's point of view, due to the limited supply of bitcoin (21 million coin limit), it will be wise to focus more on gaining numbers on the amount of btc you own while you still can easily than being affected by the fluctuating value. Very wise indeed!

In a long run, prolly when all bitcoins have been mined, the value of bitcoins then will be even more than what we can predict and i believe it will be more stable, the person who held on to getting more bitcoins and owns the most bitcoins, will hold the most valuable asset with the greatest value.

Its best to not look at the price of your Bitcoin that you own but focus on buying more while the price is in dip.
True,If you focus on the price of your bitcoins, you will be affected by emotions and will be moved to sell. Stick to the plan, acquire more while you can and hodl.

Ohh I see now the greater picture, since when I read the topic I was only thinking that this applies to all, not only bitcoin. If you have a lot of property over time, the price will increase. So that makes me confused. When we say that when all bitcoins are mined the price will really stabilize, but prior to that, we know that the price will increase. That is the time when the most bitcoins in a person's wallet has the most value of all since the supply is not locked at 21 million.
3711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: April 02, 2022, 02:18:06 PM

The gambling business is a business.  As with any business, there are elements of consumer manipulation in this industry.

For example, offline casinos do not have wall clocks to confuse casino customers.  Also, there are usually no mirrors in the casino.

Such manipulations are carried out not only by offline casinos, but also by online casinos.

With the transition of online casinos to the virtual reality format (metaverses), these manipulations will become more sophisticated.

It is possible that in the future casino customers will suffer from gambling addiction, and the casino will direct part of its profits to treat them for this addiction.

Yes gambling is also a business and to be able for a business to run the management need to think how to attract more customers especially loyal gamblers and even let's say there is a customer manipulation existed then it is called as their marketing strategy to keep their customers. And I believe transitioning offline casinos to online casinos like even adopting metaverse is just a smart move of a gambling business to keep their customers engaged with them.

This what we called adaptive and innovative because if ever you are still an offline casino when the pandemic hurts then i am pretty sure that your business is already closed by now . No profit at all on that span of 2 years. If you are not adaptive to the technology now and you are scared of innovation you will lose it all. Business is business you need to always think how to keep it going.

I'm not sure anyone will ever give him the money. Although there is a guarantee, I also doubt anyone will do it because we talk a lot of money. It would be different if it were only $50.

I would not risk that much by giving $20k because the gambling site could catch the way he did it and could not be good for us. The money we have given him may not come back, which is the biggest risk we will face later.

I even doubt there are people who risk $50 dollars for that not knowing who the OP is, if he is a reputable member in the forum, then maybe there's a chance somebody would give it a try as a reputable forum account is surely worth it more than $50.

No matter how small the amount he is asking, no one will give him money because this appears to be a scam. If he has already demonstrated the "Mathematical Proof," then I am really sure that a statisticians and mathematicians on this forum will debunk his theory or his equation because there's a flaw in that mathematical proof that he is using. A lot of people saw this post a scam because there is no proof to back it up, which means it was written with scammy intentions.
3713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The 19 millionth bitcoin will be mined in the next 24 hours. on: April 02, 2022, 10:46:39 AM
Pomp
@APompilano
The 19,000,000th bitcoin was just mined.

Only 2 million more bitcoin to go.
https://twitter.com/apompliano/status/1509930836417826817?s=21

19,000,000th has been mined, amazing. The rest will take much longer to mine though. We will not be alive when the final bitcoin is mined.

and it will take 118 years to mine the remaining bitcoin, by which time we will all be dead. However, if anyone ever comes up with a way to extend the life of a person, then we will be able to see this event Cheesy I'm hoping that my grandchildren will be able to witness this in the near future. The next halving of bitcoin will take place in the year 2024. But I do have a question: is this 19,000,000th bitcoin in circulation right. What about bitcoin that isn't moving at all, such as Satoshi's 1 million holdings? this still in the circulation of bitcoin? or how many bitcoins that are sleeping right now which means that it is not in the circulation since it is not moving .
3714  Economy / Gambling / Re: how to choose best Gambling website for Gambling ? on: April 02, 2022, 10:06:15 AM
<Snip>
Thanks for mentioning my thread. Since it came up in the discussion, here are a few threads that talk about RTP and House Edge that OP can take a look at:

Beginner's guide to House Edge and RTP
Learn the importance of RTP, volatility and hit ratio in online casinos
Overview of Bitcoin Accepting Sportsbooks (with margin/house edge comparisons)
Proposition: Higher house edge reduces overall gambling losses

You can also find plenty of information by just googling the questions you have.

Yeah I agree Googling is one of the best ways besides the forum compilation thread that you created, OP should use the right keywords to come out with the best results, don't use the best gambling website for gambling keywords but rather focus on the reputation keywords, like scam report on this  (name of the casino ) or complaints about  (name of the casino ) besides being the best casino check the casino for any pending complaints or accusations that failed to address.

I agree, just google it, but I wouldn't trust Google results because a lot of websites these days are getting paid to review a site and leave a positive note, so I would suggest trying to search here in this forum as there are a lot of threads here about gambling websites and they usually leave reviews (you just need to read their reviews since they are legit and not from a sponsored one). There are lists of gambling sites that were compiled by a lot of users here, so you just need to use the search bar in this forum  Cool
3715  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling exploit (LEGAL) on: April 01, 2022, 04:40:00 PM
Since when an exploit becomes legal?

It's cheating, I agree with you, there's no such thing as a legal exploit, all exploits are illegal and it's not a work of a good gambler if there is an exploit or bug you should report it and they might reward you for pointing the bug as the majority of casinos and exchanges are offering bug bounty, and if you really want to make money from exploiting this is not the place to ask for money for illegal purposes ask a loan from your relatives if you are confident then use your exploit.

It would be legal if the owner or the developer posted it on their site or published it online as a bug bounty. Mostly, this is the legal way to exploit a website, but you really need to report it to get the bounty. I am not sure if this is fully exploited, but I think this is the kind of strategy that you have a higher chance of winning. I don't get the basis mathematically since you haven't seen it work and it is very fishy that you are asking for someone to fund you, but you know you can get that money because it has a high return.

3717  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Few Tips I learnt from trading that blew my account. on: April 01, 2022, 02:23:21 PM
[5]. Don't be greedy:The master of it all.
Indeed. We have to learn to control ourselves, not only in trading but also in everything that we do that involves money. Its a human nature to be greedy sometimes but be wise to not regret your decision.
Do you think it can be easy? Honestly, the hardest part and really challenging are how to control emotions. Many had tried it hard but many had also failed.

We can stop greediness in real life, I can tell I was greedy then but I know it wasn't at the highest level of greediness where we lose control of our emotions and have been in hard to make good decisions.

Earning more wasn't greediness at all, it was just the result of hard work and dedication. This is what I saw in myself.

Agreed, when you start winning trades, such as three in a row, greediness drugs kick in. always think that you'll always win the trade and that no one can stop you. It is really hard to control, but practice makes perfect. This word is really used by most traders, and when you are watching any tutorials, this is really what they say, because no matter how good your strategy is, if you can't control your emotions, you'll end up losing. But again it is easy to say but difficult to be done.

3719  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling Sites April Fool offers on: April 01, 2022, 01:31:51 PM
April Fools also has an offer! What a wonderful way to screw people over. With the bonus offer of April Fools, you will not be made April Fools? Suppose you made a deposit, but I will say April Fool's with zero percent instead of your bonus hundred percent, then what to do? I said this from my personal opinion: ")

Are you telling gambling sites will make an April fools joke on their players by offering joke deposit promotion? I really don't think that would be good for the business, one of the things that the gambling site is taking care of is their reputation and the trust between them and their players so playing April fools joke on the players is not a smart idea.

That is correct. As if you're playing pranks on your bosses, this will result in your termination. April fools is kind of annoying because the majority of what I see now I don't trust, and they also make you look foolish. They stated that the purpose of this is to have fun, but it is no longer amusing. How much more will a gambling platform enjoy giving bonuses if it is an April fools joke? If I am a user, I will undoubtedly leave the platform and seek out other sites that treat their users with some degree of respect.
