Oh lord thank you for the beautiful reward but please make this one count by getting me lucky in the lottery.  Grin Grin

To be honest, these free lottery tickets are of no use unless we win a lottery round no matter what the amount is.
I consider reward points and free sats to be more rewarding than lottery tickets because I never really get lucky with lotteries  Embarrassed

Well the transaction was done 9 days ago. I won't be giving the transaction id for privacy reasons but you can find it out easily on the block explorer if you track it with the below details.

Transaction date : 13 April 2021
Number of inputs : 29
Size : 4470 Bytes
Fees : approx 9 sats/byte

I won't be lying but it indeed got confirmed within 20 minutes max. I didn't use any accelerator and yes it was a segwit transaction.
3703  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies you should catch these little scam tricks if you want to stay in crypto on: April 21, 2021, 04:58:45 PM
Telegram has become a hub for scammers to try their luck out but only a fool will fall prey to such scams. A few months ago I joined the official group of Polkadot on telegram. It was a Read-Only group.
After one or two days I noticed that the group has changed from read-only to a normal one where we can send messages.
I saw a lot of messages where they were sending fake give aways telling to deposit 100 DOT and receive 200 DOT.
This was obviously fishy. It was later that I discovered that someone used the same profile picture and name of the official Polkadot group.
The official group was still read-only. I just reported the group and left. This happened 5-7 times again.
3704  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why Crypto Communities Matters? on: April 21, 2021, 04:11:35 PM
Disadvantages of joining a crypto community[/i]
I can't possibly think of a negative side to joining a crypto group except for the high possibility of scams. There are pump and dump groups everywhere looking for prey. Joining a community puts you in a box and scammers can target members of these community. That's why I recommend the trust system.

Trust system is not necessarily available in every social platform. There are communities where you are prone to be contacted by scammers and if you are not aware enough then you will most likely be scammed.
Communities include good as well as bad people. These bad people can manipulate you or brain wash you into doing bad stuff and later threaten you for the same.
While there are good sides of being a part of a community there are bad sides as well and we can't really ignore that.
3705  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is a privacy wallet any different from a regular one? on: April 19, 2021, 05:28:13 PM
Exodus for example, I dont think they collect your info. Let's say a government wanted to give a warrant for them to look into some random dudes wallet. Would they hand the info over or something or what?
If they do not collect info, then they technically cannot link an address to a random dude. Exchanges which requires users to pass KYC process are platforms bitcoin holders should avoid, as they request for vital personal information.

But they can still hand over the IP addresses that were used to access the wallet. I am not sure if they store the IP addresses but they would certainly be having the logs somewhere.
IP addresses are sufficient to get the locality of the person unless he had been using a VPN or something.
3706  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Why is Mycelium always so High ? on: April 19, 2021, 05:22:33 PM
The total fees displayed by Mycelium was around $95 and I was like WTF.
Jesus, I'd be like WTF myself if presented with that option as a standard fee.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but Mycelium only offers 3 tiers of fees and you can't set the fee manually.  I haven't used the wallet in a long time, so they might have changed that but that's the reason I stopped using them altogether--the fees were always so goddamn high and they weren't completely customizable (like Electrum, for example).

Mycelium now has 4 tiers (Low-priority, Economic, Normal, Priority) and each tier has some 3 - 10 options with different fee rates.
So yes it's not entirely customizable but it still gives all the options from lowest fees to the optimum fees.

Quote
And yes, the network is very congested right now and it takes a much higher fee to send bitcoin with a reasonable confirmation time as compared to about 3 weeks ago.  So that's part of it, but part of it is also that Mycelium sucks as far as fees go.  If I were you I'd ditch that wallet and try Electrum.

That's true. Even I sometimes wonder why am I using this wallet yet. May because I have been holding on it since a long time.  Tongue
The next option would definitely be Electrum. I'll just import the seed in Electrum and get the look and feel of it soon. Thanks.
3707  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: MyCelium Wallet Unable To Synchronize on: April 19, 2021, 05:15:05 PM
Hello,

I am currently storing BTC in a MyCelium wallet downloaded on an Apple iPhone.

My wallet is currently unable to refresh.

The prices linked to Bitcoin exchanges are not updated as there usually do, and every time I attempt to refresh my wallet manually I get the message "Error: Can't synchronize the account. Try again later."

I've seen this error previously but those times I was still able to process transactions through the wallet. I'm currently unable to process any transactions into or out of my wallet.

This error began occurring about 4 hours ago and has not corrected itself. Anyone have advice on how I can resolve this error and access the BTC I have stored in my wallet?

Thanks

This is most probably because you are using an outdated version of Mycelium. Just try to "Update" the Mycelium app through Appstore and then sync the wallet again.
After updating the app the issue should resolve by itself and if it doesn't then go to Account tab and then click on the Refresh from the menu.
If the issue persists you can email the support team at "support@mycelium.com" .

I am using the version 3.8.9.1 and it's working well.
3708  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Why is Mycelium always so High ? on: April 19, 2021, 05:08:46 PM
Recently I was making a transaction with many small inputs. There were around 30 inputs and 1 output address for the transaction.
The total fees displayed by Mycelium was around $95 and I was like WTF. I was blaming the congested bitcoin network when I noticed that transactions are getting confirmed even at lower fees. Consulting a friend of mine I decreased the fees totaling to $17 and broadcasted the transaction to the blockchain.
Boom ! Within next 15 minutes the transaction was confirmed (2 confirmations). I wish I had consumed lesser fees than that but was happy at the same time to save $78.
So why does Mycelium shows the fees as so high when it can be confirmed in 15 minutes with a lower fees itself.

After so many weeks of free spin on the Wheel of Fortune I have received a big reward of 3500 Reward points.
I have been waiting for a bigger reward from so long and it literally took more than 4 weeks to get to this day.
Either my luck is not shining lately or it is become harder each day to get a big reward from the Wheel of Fortune.
3710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers - How do you use your signature campaign earnings? on: April 18, 2021, 05:38:54 PM
I do not know if it is such a good idea to try trading right now, you can earn more money with it than with investing but when just holding your bitcoin is so profitable then why risk it? Just keep your coins and enjoy the profits we have had during the last year, this can be difficult to accept because most people have a desire to get more and more profits but the profits that something like bitcoin has given just in this year are so high that many investors never get to enjoy something like this during all their careers as investors.
It's okay to trade it if you're thinking of doing some trades. You don't have to use all that you've got from campaigns but get a little portion or any amount that you think is a good start.
You can do both of it, the other part for trading and the others is for holding.

I guess holding is way better, what we earn in signature campaign is not big enough to start a trading, if we are serious with trading, we need to start with serious funds so we can roll it easy with a decent profit. Holding what we earn like 1 to 2 years would already be a big money in the bull run.

For me, gambling, holding, and spending some, that's what I do, at the moment, I don't care of holding as most campaign are pegged with usd and we are only getting small btc due to the high price.

I would partially disagree with that because it all depends on what are the pay rates of the signature campaign.
If the amount for the week is really low to trade then we can collect it for a month then trade with it while holding the amount for the rest of the months.
If someone is really good at trading then he can easily convert that amount to a big amount in just a few months.
Also, he has the option to leverage his trades if he is a good trader.

I have also done the same thing in the past but I am a bad trader which is why I left trading.
I just hold for long term but at the same time I would have used my campaign earnings for trading if I was good at trading.
3711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Eth Berlin Upgrade and Gambling on: April 18, 2021, 05:30:29 PM
I know most of our crypto casinos and sportsbooks support ethereum deposits, but with the upcoming ethereum Berlin upgrade which is most likely to push transaction fees down, are people going to gamble more knowing that most of us are familiar to the coin and expect lower fees from today?

I don't think that it will create that big of an impact on the gambling platform. This upgrade is a huge benefit for traders though.
The Defi platforms will save a lot on fees since it would be decreased now.
For gamblers it would be more or less the same thing because they just deposit once and gamble with it until all of it is wiped.
3712  Economy / Gambling / Re: Web developer seeking for crypto-gambling website idea on: April 18, 2021, 05:13:35 PM
Hello everyone,

I'm a senior web developer with a lot of experience with solidity and smart contracts in general. I have some money to invest in some crypto-based project and I'm thinking about making a new gambling website.

I know there are tons and tons of gambling websites... I'm reading this forum every day for years. A new website appears almost every week but many of the sites are the same...

A lot of bustabit clones (same script), a lot of CryptoDice sites, a lot of SoftSwiss websites, and a lot more examples...
A lot of websites claim they are provably fair but in fact, they are not provably or not fair. I also was thinking about making a thread with an analysis of provably fair algorithms of all sites here.
A lot of vulnerable websites because it's made by developers which have no experience in provably fair, crypto, smart contracts, etc...
A lot of non-innovative websites (simple dice and that's all)...

So, I'm here to hear ideas from you guys! What crypto gambling site will attract you? Which kind of games? Which cryptocurrencies? Decentralized or not? Fully on smart contracts or not? PvP sites or against a house?

Here is an example of websites that get my attention:
https://wink.org/
https://moolah.bet/
https://rocketgame.io/

I really like that concept of dividends. By betting TRX you mine the site's token which you later freeze and get dividends from the house's profit. Great idea! What do you think about making this kind of website? Some of the above sites have really big attention and a lot of users but in fact, they are not 100% provably fair and I don't understand how such websites can have tons of users with that issue.

Let's create together a new gambling website!

I am a fan of crash and dice games and my favourite gambling site currently is BC.GAME.

If you are planning on to develop a gambling site then there are a few things I would recommend and they are as follows

No KYC is a must (KYC mandatory only if the amount is above the threshold)
Betting on price predictions would be good
Crash and Dice games is a must
Chat room and lots of bonuses
Wide variety of coins supported
Low fees for withdrawals (many gambling sites charge a lot on withdrawals)
Customised options to withdraw instantly or in regular batches
Lottery system should also be implemented

Well these are just a few thoughts  Tongue

There are a lot of users who played more than 10k free rolls. I have played more than 16k free rolls till now. Previously I have shared my personal stats here, maybe you missed it. Although I haven't won any top prize from the free rolls yet.
I probably just missed that post of yours.  So congrats to you, so far, you are the one who holds the record for the highest number of freerolls played, can anyone still break it?  There are still many of you who started here in 2015, so it will take me a few more years to reach the 10K freerolls and above.  When I checked my emails, I started in 2016, but it was still there in my first account that was banned because I used a VPN.  And this is my account now, maybe 2019, then it only became active last year.

For some reason I have never checked my personal stats on freebitco.in but after reading your post I decided to check upon my personal stats and here they are

I can't believe I have only played 585 rolls till date. I think it should have been more but at the same time I doubt myself  Tongue
But yeah 0.0011 is not a bad amount. It probably was lost in Multiply btc  Grin
3714  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A little sad story on: April 18, 2021, 04:23:29 PM
So I got some bonus from bybit.

I longed btc at first with 50x leverage (you do that with 'free' money), but since it was on the rise for last few days, thought it will dip and closed the long, opened short.

Got liquidated soon after.

Had I not closed the long, I would be in several double digit thousands of dollars profit today.

Rip

RIP

I know how that must feel since I had also liquidated all my balance on leverage trading. At first I was happy since I had doubled my initial capital.
But then the market fell and all my balance got liquidated. But yeah, even though I lost the amount I got to learn a lot from it.
We can never predict how the market will behave and it's pretty much a gamble in itself.
So be happy that you didn't lose your actual money and just played with the bonus money.
3715  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Lottery not honest on: April 18, 2021, 04:04:23 PM
I suffered damage when playing the lottery, because it gave a false negative and I lost my satochis, who can help me understand why even a LO number came and I bet on LO and it gave false and lost all my satochis.

I believe in the freebitcoin website, as it has been in the market for a long time, but the algorithms are making false negatives and losing everything in the wallet. Please answer me, because maybe it was my mistake. Follow the images.

snip

This is because you would have adjusted the odds and set it to a higher value. When you increase or decrease the odds the Bet High an Bet Low number gets changed.
By default the betting odds on freebitco.in are set to 2. Here the bet Low number is 4750 hence to win the bet your resultant number should be less than 4750.

When we increase the odds the bet High number also gets increased. So your bet resultant number should be greater than this number to win the bet and vice versa.

Here the bet Low number is 1900 since the bet odds are increased to 5. So to win the bet your resultant number should be less than 1900.
3716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DOGE is living proof of Influential Power of Rich People! on: April 17, 2021, 04:44:25 PM
Yes, there must be on-going discussion about this already but I could not resist myself after seeing how DOGE is getting influenced by Elon Musk and his tweets. This is really big power that people like Elon hold.

Neither he is coming on TV, or live in some shows or announcing publicly that he is investing nor he is making lucid statements about it.

All he would do is "conspiracy tweets". For example, yesterday's tweet "Doge Barking at the Moon". That's all guys and just after 22 hours it reached its ATH price and currently trading around it.

If he keeps doing 5-10 more tweets every other week then I don't know DOGE could be surfing around 1-2 dollars easily. This is crazy economy I have ever seen in my life.   Cheesy

Are you DOGE holder?

You know what the actual thing is ?
It is very obvious that Elon Musk is just pumping DOGE.

It is very clear from his tweets that he just wants DOGE pumped but for no reason why. Every time he tweets the price for Dogecoin goes up.
Even though he knows that his tweets are pumping the coin he still does it anyway.
This shows that he is aware that he is directly pumping the Dogecoin and still wants to continue doing it.
3717  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum payment pending on: April 17, 2021, 04:36:55 PM
Thanks, I am pretty sure they aren't a scammer as I have dealt with them before. Im sure it will be fine. Hopefully it will get updated on their end before long. Do they have to claim it on their end to change the status from pending to completed?

No. they do not have to do anything from their end. Your part is completed as well.
You have broadcasted the bitcoin transaction to the blockchain and the transaction also shows confirmed on the blockchain.
If the address is right then the other person would have received the bitcoins on their address.
If the other person agrees that he has received the BTC then well and good otherwise just confirm the bitcoin address with him one again.
3718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk stop messing up the crypto market on: April 17, 2021, 04:32:28 PM
Am I the only one who finds his tweets and market manipulation annoying?

A lot of newbies falling into the trap unfortunately. BTC is strong and won't be affected too much but Dogecoin is just increasing its pump and dump reputation. Sad.

We are in the same boat I guess because I used to like Elon Musk for his achievements and his growth from scratch.
But these days he has just become a shiller and pumping Doge. It's obvious that he is pumping Dogecoin since it is pumping in price after his tweet.
It would have made sense if Dogecoin was making development in their protocol but now it just looks like market manipulation.
3719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Store of value or Payment method or else? on: April 17, 2021, 04:26:46 PM
Hello!

I've been seeing many people with many views and opinions on what bitcoin is for. What do you think bitcoin main purpose is and do you think it may change going forward?

Thank you!

To make it simple, bitcoin is a multipurpose asset which can be used as a store of value, as a trading asset and as a payment method.
I have used bitcoin for all the 3 purposes. I have used it to make payments, trade it at times and also hold it as a store of value the rest of the times.
3720  Economy / Exchanges / Re: What's next after Coinbase IPO? on: April 16, 2021, 05:34:42 PM
Oh, goodness! I feel so regret to hesitate to buy Coinbase stock after it launches. Could it be further increased?

https://www.coindesk.com/btig-initiates-coinbase-coverage-500-price-target

After the successful IPO of Coinbase, do you think crypto exchanges like Binance, Kraken, Houbi or wallets like Trustwallet, Ledger, Electrum or Snapbots will do the same? If that's a real trend, I'll be ready for the next money hunt!

I don't know why there's such a buzz about it. It's just like any other traditional IPO just with the fact that the company is a crypto based company.
Since crypto is all hyped up these days the IPO had seen a good traction in the market.
Even then the price of the asset was first pumped and then dumped after the listing.
It's better to buy cryptocurrencies directly in my opinion.
