Apart from the monetary aspect that everyone seems to be talking about, there are some other factors that i think can make me stop gambling.
Whenever i notice that my gambling activities has started interfering with my social life and causing depression to me, i will call it quits to gambling. I take my mental health very seriously and will not want anything to cause me issues. If my mental health is affected, it will definitely cause problems and affect other activities in my life and that will be detrimental to me. This is something to avoid.

However, as the zero-sum game, winners will take it all, according to the Pareto principle as well, so after short term effects from retail investors, whales will accumulate Bitcoin again, and they will own 80% of Bitcoin on the network again.
Every retail investor must train himself/herself to understand and analyze whale movements, behaviours and signals, major events, and news if they want to be ahead of the game. Retail investors are able to anticipate and properly analyze the manipulative and non-manipulative market moves of whales, to prevent unnecessary reactions. In this case, familairity with on-chain analysis is crucial and Glassnode is a fantastic tool that makes life easy for the retail investor.

Do you think Bitcoin will be devalued in the future?
Right now, no one can really tell the actual value of bitcoin. It’s too early. However, there are predictions in the crypto-finance space that the value of bitcoin could reach over $100,000 to as much as one million dollars per BTC in the future. Only a couple of days ago, bitcoin made a comeback that has taken it up more than 50% from recent lows. The future is bright, let's keep our fingers crossed.

New season, same arsenal... I can't say i am disappointed because as an arsenal fan that i am, we are used to disappointments already. If Arteta can't manage the team this season he should be sacked and not be given more chance to further embarrass us.
Our defence is zero, i hope something is done quickly before we find ourselves fighting against relegation, because the performance from this team is too poor.

Often times i have observed players in a soccer team coming together before the start of a soccer match to "pray" before the kick off of their match against an opponent.
I'm always baffled and i need to ask, do you think God involves himself in things like soccer and other sports?

The whole world is watching the important first step taken by El Salvador. Using Bitcoin is not just a trend, other countries will eventually learn that Bitcoin can increase national wealth, and some even keep it in their treasury reserves. With Bitcoin the longer you wait, the rewards will start to decrease. Countries at a disadvantage may consider taking measures as early as possible to give them an advantage over other larger economies. So will more countries follow El Salvador to use Bitcoin as legal tender?
In my opinion, it will be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a developing nation in the African continent to adopt bitcoin as a legal tender just as El Salvador has done. Most leaders in LMIC would rather prefer to keep borrowing from China than to go the way of El Salvador. I have no hate for the continent but this is unfortunately true Because they are so corrupt, they wouldn’t want to give time to understand how bitcoin works and functions. They wouldn’t want to give it a chance because it will ruin their chances of embezzling more public funds. Well, until a young leader who is enlightened is in power their idea of bitcoin being a legal tender is already dead on arrival.

Paralympians are still humans you know, and it is even the thought or idea that it is unethical to gamble or place a bet on them is in itself unethical because that is demeaning and a bias based on their disabilities.
Paralympians should be treated with the same respect as other athletes without disabilities, and as such, it is okay and ethical to bet on the Paralympics, so the paralympians Don't feel less of themselves.

There is no such thing as complete decentralization, sorry to burst your bubble. You can only achieve complete decentralization if every user of Bitcoin is mining by themselves, ie. 1 CPU 1 Vote. That has never been the case for anything, because you cannot stop people from expending more resources into mining. There was a sharp drop in difficulty but the est. network hashrate has been rising for the past few weeks. People moving their operations out of China is more of a precautionary measure; China banned Bitcoin mining but it also doesn't mean it can be done overnight.
The crackdown did not cripple Bitcoin at all, the network was still running smoothly. It is fine for a certain degree of centralization so long as no single entity are able to dominate and control Bitcoin, which is still true.
I do agree with you. I’d make a wild guess that decentralization of bitcoin is about 75% as there a small group of Bitcoin administrators that coordinate the Bitcoin ecosystem. Examples of centralized services, include marketplaces and web-wallets. Because users cannot maintain local wallets due to the mainly functionality reasons they have to depend on a web wallet hosted on a remote server and accessible through a website

Reason 1: You are in control of your own money - government overprint cash which devalues the dollar, but big influential people and institutions can devalue Bitcoin with a single tweet. Bad news, issues with mining, and other things out of your control can devalue Bitcoin.
As much as the price of bitcoin can drop in with a single with it has also soared as well several times in the past. For instance, the price of Bitcoin skyrocketed from around $32,000 to nearly $38,000 in January 29, 2021 because of a tweet from Mr Musk. This is just one of those few examples. My two reasons for investing in bitcoin is that I believe that someday it’s going to be a widely accepted legal tender and then price will get to the moon. In addition, I don’t want to live with the regret of not buy any bitcoin before it becomes mainstream.

Covid has positively affected Bitcoin.
At the height of the pandemic, WHO, CDC advised folks to reduced handling of conventional money, banking transactions, and automatic teller machine (ATM) transactions were brought to a halt to avoid spreading viruses via contact. At this time bitcoin became the most available online money enabling a more secure transaction process as online shopping exploded.
Also because almost every country in the world was locked down and people were advised to sit at home, people had more time to surf the net and watch the news, and as a result also because cryptocurrency and btc is revolutionary and the future, a lot of persons got to find out and hear about btc during this time frame.

Trading is not a get rich quick scheme.
Some people are enticed by the notion that trading brings in a lot of money and has the ability to make one rich quickly.
Others are enticed by the huge portfolios of old traders, and the successes they post online. As a result of this misconception, many people quickly want to get into trading and we all know how badly it ends for them.
They do not concern themselves with learning the rudiments and also learning from the in between the line excesses from masters who have become conversant with trading.
Not being patient enough to learn completely to adopt a strategy, and being in a hurry to make money from trading are leading causes of bad trading.

I believe that all the types of gambling require a particular skill set and pattern. In the case of poker, winning is more dependent on the individual playing the poker game unlike in sports betting where the individual placing the bet has to first analyse the performance and former statistics of the teams to know which will perform enough for him to place a bet on, that is winning is very dependent on team he is placing his bet.

Here is leaked translated version of Bitcoin bill in Paraguay, that will register Bitcoin as property and not as a legal tender, while bitcoin mining will be much more regulated than now. All mining operations will need to be approved and overseen by an authority and mining outside of the legal framework will be disciplined and sanctioned. There will also be monitoring and controlling of Bitcoin transaction (I am not sure how exactly they can enforce that) and people failing to comply will be punished.
I also read this information. It seems to get the news mixed up. If Carlos Rejala’s bill is seeking to regulate crypto does it not then mean that it will drive foreign crypto investors away from the country despite the financial incentives? In fact, how does this even make Paraguay a crypto friendly country?

After reading several posts on this forum many people seem to think that Bitcoin will always go up. If this were to be the case, why would people spend Bitcoin at all? In this theoretical time, wouldn't it just be a poor financial decision to do?
The truth is people always have pressing needs and because they live in the present spending some of their bitcoin will certainly make perfect financial sense at that time irrespective of whether the price would go up. It is however a poor financial situation to always spend fractions from your bitcoins even when you have an alternative.

What do you think of Bitcoin 100 years later? Do you think Bitcoin will die in 100 years?
In my opinion, a 100 years is a really long time from now, but from projections, i believe that in a 100years time... The value of bitcoin will become stable as all the 21million minaeable bitcoin will have been mined and it will no longer be affected by speculation. By then, the amount of BTC in circulation will be reduced. By then, it may probably have been accepted and the original intention Nakamoto had for it to be used as a currency might be in play. Maybe some of us will be alive to see it, maybe not.

Greed is really dangerous all round, not only in gambling. A greedy gambler cannot earn and hold much because of his/her insatiable nature. I have once been in a gambling house in my country and witnessed someone who came in to gamble on virtual games, after two games he made an amount not so big but like three times what he brought to gamble with.
Instead of him to call it quits for that day and take his earnings away, he decided to play some more games probably thinking that he will make more. He played some more and lost all the money he made including the original amount he brought in with him and left sad and depressed.
This is a perfect example of greed in gambling that can lead to loss of capital and profit and can also cause sadness and depression.

Way to go mate. I know many humanitarian organizations that have started this way. Truth be told, I like the intention behind it. Also being that you have got some indirect experience with what being homeless is like. This is like you giving back and doing your bit to make the world a much better place. I guess in the next decade you might even expand your reach to those impoverished folks in other nations. Well done mate, keep up the good work.

No offence mate but I think you are being paranoid. Man, banks have been here since like forever. Sure they have their cons but I can’t just discard or disapprove of them because of BTC. Think about it for a minute without any sentiments. BTC has its cons too. About privacy, I’d say in our present day world it is an illusion. Everything we do on our electronic devices as much as it is connected to the internet is harvesting our data. About your poll, I’ll pick banks fiats over BTC at least until BTC can stand the test of time.

I'm concerned that Messi's move from Barcelona will affect La Liga in no small way. Messi brings a lot of value to La Liga. Imagine Barcelona without a Messi? On the other hand, I strongly believe that Barca just wants to groom youngsters, Frenkie de Jong or Pedri instead of having to renew his contract. Well I hope Messi is able to do in PSG and the french league what he has done in Barca (as he is such a transformational player, I who drove the club's prestige way further in his 20years stay) and the Spanish league.
