3721  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cheapest electricity in the world on: October 16, 2015, 10:30:56 PM
I knew a guy in a neighboring country who bought a solar panel because he lives in a house and then they made him pay VAT tax on the electricity he generated, with the general electricity cost which i belive was about 1$/watt.

Someone told me that in Florida once upon a time if you went solar you had to pay the power company compensation. I find that hard to believe but anything's possible if profit is on the line in the US.

Lol thats insane, so you are not a customer of the power company, but a slave of theirs. Very nice, see where corporatism leads.

I think we need to get back to real capitalism because otherwise it will be bad for humanity.

Even in china the subsidized cheap electricity, once they run out of money, you will see big problems there, 1.4 billion people need electricity lol.

I can already feel that NXT will go to the moon, but there is little or no BUZZ about it.

C`mon guys DOGE is a crappy video based coin, and has tons of google entries. I know NXT is more professional but still:

According to google trends, it barely has searches, we need to improve this, marketing is abysmal for NXT, need more promotions!
3723  Economy / Economics / Re: A Resource Based Economy on: October 15, 2015, 06:19:15 PM
Im pretty sure that if the means of production of the modern society that will come in the next century or so, are private, it will mean the end of anything that isn't super rich and super poor. If machines are creating a surplus of stuff and it doesn't get properly distributed by making the means production a common good, we are fucked. It's as simple as that. There's no way around this. It will literally be like the Elysium movie.

No, they will just wipe out the poor people.

Ok lets say we will make the large scale industries common.

But what if I own a small shop, i dont want all kinds of inspectors and tax collectors harassing me, because currently its worse than the maffia, atleast the maffia doesnt care where you get your money from, the inspectors take your money, but also give you the rules how to earn it next time, its horrible.

Explain your utopia please?
3724  Economy / Economics / Re: How too get rich on: October 15, 2015, 12:15:35 AM
Protect your capital first, then invest only in specific points in markets you deeply know

Says the guy who has a 200x leverage signature, not very good for risk management.

But with reasonable risk & leverage, yes this is probably the best option.

Protecting the capital is the first objective, making money is only a sideeffect of that.
3725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Ship sinking!!!! on: October 14, 2015, 04:26:42 PM
It looks clear to me now that ETH wasnt anything more than a hyped scam, that is close to extinction now just like dinosaurs.

C`mon guys its a 3 year project and still no GUI wallet. Yet millions of $ already burned, it looks like a brilliant scam.
3726  Economy / Economics / Re: Martin Armstrong Discussion on: October 14, 2015, 03:45:51 PM
Today's economist PhD's are doctors.... witch doctors, they will cure the economy, no doubt:

3727  Economy / Economics / Re: A Resource Based Economy on: October 14, 2015, 11:47:19 AM
RealBitcoin,

I only need you to answer whether US. private businesses set their own prices- and compete among another and, if the answer is no, provide examples to that effect, such as laws. I don't want rants about taxes being slavery or an unduly burden, etc - since they are not germane to the question.

Meanwhile, let's enjoy - ahem - what you have written so far:

You are ignoring the indirect influence of the government which is as huge as our planet, and want me to focus on the direct influence of the government on prices, which is still present but tiny?

Alright I give you an example:

Slot machines: In some gambling regulations the slot machine owners are forced to set the payout ratio to at least 0.7:1 ,cannot set any lower, so the slot machine owner casino can set it's machine only between the (0.7,1) boundaries. That is direct price control.

Minimal wage: It is the price of labour. The government sets a minimum price of the labour, and cannot be below it.

Rent control: Price of rent. It usually has a maximum price/ square meter of the residence.

And so on.

There is your price control, but these direct controls are still too tiny, compared to the indirect controls which are huge.
3728  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin and Porn on: October 13, 2015, 10:21:46 PM
If i want to pay for porn (yes, i know there is enough free porn) than the advantages as an user are:

- my wife doesn't see this payment on my credit card statement
- my credit card details are not moving to an unknown cross boarder porn site
- i can be absolutely anonymous on this site and don't get an ashley madison problem
- no hidden membership and forgotten rebills

i will pay for porn but i don't want to use my credit card.

Yep, privacy is important, imagine if somebody has an ugly wife but secretly jerks off to hot girls in a paid camera system, how jealous that wife would be, it could even ruin the marriage.

Better keep those things in private.
3729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Ship sinking!!!! on: October 13, 2015, 09:42:19 PM

I think you are talking about Cayman Islands or something, the criminal heaven thing is a story from yesterday before Switzerland started to sign everything from the EU.

Its not _really_ recognized thats true, but it is recognized that if you pay $500 for something and they steal it, that they own you $500 for that.
It is not like stealing non currencys would be somehow legal.

No idea, but if there is no law for it then they could get away with it, or they could say that it was not theft, it was a maintenance cost.

If they want to run a scam, they are more clever than to outright steal the money, instead they will just take it out as maintenance fee, which is still stealing, but that looks legal that way.

Its not like its the first non profit organization that burned their funds on useless stuff.
3730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: October 13, 2015, 09:33:47 PM

Indeed, I could not agree more Smiley

Promotion is useless without showing something. So, shameless plug: https://nxtforum.org/general-discussion/%28marketing-business-and-development%29-the-tennessee-project-fundraiser/

Definitely, keep it promoted on all social media, and here in the forum too, because it needs more promotion.

I think we need to get agressive on promoting it, otherwise Ethereum could inflict more harm in us.

We need to show that we are better than Ethereum, better transparency, and already done features, not just empty promises like ETH guys do.

3732  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: October 13, 2015, 08:55:58 PM
i choose gold, just because gold is real  Cool

So what you think bitcoin is a fantasy? Just because it's digital?

What about your digital bank account, thats more a fantasy than bitcoin, becasue the money there is made up printed money.
3733  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [CATALOG] Good websites to Invest My Bitcoins? on: October 13, 2015, 08:53:37 PM
If you are actively investing in BitFinex swap markets, you should take a look on  BFX Swapmaster, www.bfxswapmaster.com
I intend to connect other markets soon, stay tuned.

Interesting I `ll check it out, but you are a newbie account, you might need more rank before people would trust you.

How to attract traffic to your website?

You buy it, and do an evaluation how much your marketing costs vs how much you gain by selling products or services.

If its profitable then go for it.
3736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What 2.0 Currency will be the most successful? on: October 13, 2015, 02:53:38 PM

Just to use an analogy -> Nokia  Wink
Comparing software to your examples really amused me  Grin

Ok let me give you another example if you are amused.

People in Luxembourg do this:

For hundreds of years probably. And Luxembourg has only a population of 500,000 people.

Bitcoin already has ~5 million members, don't you think our traditions won't live a few hundred years?

Don't worry folks, bitcoin will stay here for good Cheesy
3737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin was a worst decision of my life on: October 13, 2015, 02:44:37 PM
I have never bought weed with my coins...
Me either.
People who are not bitcoin users always think that it is for weed and guns on the "darknet". They just pick the use case that is most shocking and go with that. No one ever talks about how I buy socks with my bitcoin, but I do.

Apart from that bitcoin's 2 most widely legal use would be: gambling & porn.

I think we need a PR team to emphasize on that, otherwise the media will demonize bitcoin further.
3738  Economy / Services / Re: YoBit.Net - Signature Campaign - Realtime Payouts (daily) on: October 13, 2015, 02:36:04 PM

I just have to asked you why you have different Yobit signature as I saw in some thread you posted until I saw this post.

I like the looks now than yesterday's looks.

Because I`m not doing the yobit signature campaign, I`m testing the Yobit affiliate system for somebody, and see how many referral he can get. I`ll be doing it for 2 weeks, it`s also a part of a broader marketing research I`m doing, to see how viable marketing is in the bitcoin sphere.
