3721  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] ebay listing on: June 30, 2020, 09:41:23 AM
Sadly eBay doesn't seem to know that this is clearly a scam as they haven't taken it down even now.
Might take a while...

Any idea if I can call them to get it taken down?
I'm not an eBay user but according to "GetHuman [not sure if it's a reliable source]", you have the following options:

866-540-3229 · CUSTOMER SERVICE

866-643-1607 · FRAUD DETECTION

Edit: Also, this thread still isn't showing up on google for the text in the listing sadly. :/
It's showing now on the second page: SS was taken while using the incognito mode
3722  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: Fake Wasabi Wallet website on: June 30, 2020, 06:22:34 AM
Is there something we can do to as regular users?
But I do agree that we need collective efforts to report this phishing site.
In addition to solutions posted by its developer and other users for getting rid of the fake one, most registrars have a system in place for combating such things and since that scammer used NameCheap, then you can try the following:
- Other users should report it as well.

We can do that on Namecheap [its registrar] > Submit a ticket > Abuse Reports [from the choices] > Fraud / Phishing > Submit the following things.
- More information.
3723  Other / Meta / Re: I created the Bitcointalk Stats Live Counter on: June 30, 2020, 05:36:25 AM
I was sitting and wondering, could a pm live count exist?
It'll be quite hard to do a live one for PMs since you have to keep sending someone a PM in order to get the latest number.
- Not sure if there's any other way but I'm not a coder.

There is no number on site's statistics that represents the total private messages but when you send one it has a unique id right?
Yes, that's the one showing up while hovering over the subject field on the list of PMs.

If the last id is 10000 then the 10001 doesn't exist, so all of them are 10000, right? Roll Eyes Undecided

3724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 29, 2020, 06:35:47 AM
In this way the 4 teams that entered the semifinals are Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City.
In other words, it's London vs Manchester Wink

The possibility of winning the FA Cup this year between Chelsea or Manchester City is in my prediction.
I'm going with a club from London [I'm predicting an Arsenal win against Man City, they've got nothing to lose].
- They did that before (a few seasons back).

I agree to Arsenal without Guendouzi
Arsenal's game is much better, the attack becomes more fluid.
Apart from that, we should give Xhaka some credit...
- IIRC, we haven't lost a game with him in the field under Arteta.

Interesting games to bet in the next few days:

  • Everton vs Leicester [1 - 2]
  • Man City vs Liverpool [draw]
  • Wolves vs Arsenal [2 - 1]
3725  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Blockchain Charging Station for Electric Vehicles on: June 29, 2020, 05:34:13 AM
We decided to check transaction fee and use some kind of prediction for transaction confirmation.
I guess that might work, as long as the stated minimum fee [in your hardware display] for zero confirmations is above the needed required fee for the fastest confirmation [next block].
- The following website isn't accurate enough but usually, it displays fees a bit higher than needed: Bitcoin fees

But what about non-direct LN channels between charging station and driver, some paths may be expensive in the whole LN route?
AFAIK, it'll choose the cheapest/nearest route.
3726  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Blockchain Charging Station for Electric Vehicles on: June 28, 2020, 03:28:24 PM
What do you think about zero-confirmation algorithm? Is it secure enough to allow charging as soon as payment is broadcasted to the blockchain?
I'm guessing you're using a traditional way and not what "amishmanish" mentioned [as a solution] which it was the use of LN, then your chosen route isn't secure enough.

Should charging station owner set up price per energy (kWh) in cryptocurrency or in fiat (USD/EUR) (in this case EVSE has to check the exchange rate and show the equivalent in cryptocurrency at the time of payment)?

I think having prices in both cryptocurrencies and fiat would be the ideal choice.

If you (or your friend) have a shop, restaurant, cafe, or other business with parking would you like to install such one?
If I had one [I don't], "YES".

If that transaction is not confirmed during the next 2 blocks in Bitcoin network, the process will be suspended and EVSE will wait for network confirmations. If double-spent is detected or transaction is deleted from blockchain, the charging station will stop supplying energy to the electric vehicle. We assume that these events, when payment doesn't reach the recipient, happens rarely, and even in that case, charging stations owner will not lose a lot of money for giving a free charging about 10 minutes (less than 1$).
2 blocks might have a longer time in-between them. For instance, the time between block "636561" and "636562" was more than an hour and by that, you would've given someone a free charging for more than an hour and the property owner, a loss of income + rates differ depending on where you are.
3727  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BitcoinWide - search platform for Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency on: June 27, 2020, 07:56:08 AM
Nice improvement in regards to its search functionality but there's still a lot of missing businesses from less popular countries [not sure users will take their time for listing/submitting those].

You might want to change [correct] your links by getting rid of the latter parts [);].
3728  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Earn Bitcoin cashback when shopping online on: June 27, 2020, 06:45:34 AM
It's a good way of using your affiliate link while giving back some to your users but after quickly going over your merchant list, I noticed some of them doesn't even support BTCitcoin payments on their platform [it defeats its purpose to an extent]...
- You might want to consider only listing those that support payments in BTCitcoin.
3729  Economy / Reputation / Re: Bitcoin Interest Accounts on: June 27, 2020, 05:50:48 AM
SteveSats is offering bitcoin interest account which gives 8.9% interest a year.
He/she seems to offer something that's close to what Blockfi does [up to 8.6%] but at the same time, a big portion of users that try to deal with money and divert conversations away from this forum turned out to be scammers.

I think DT must tag this person so that no one fall in his scam method.
Done.

I see there is a flag created by someone else but it was directing to Steve thread.  That's why I have created new one- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=2092
Supported.
3730  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you lend your cryptocurrencies? on: June 26, 2020, 02:17:07 PM
I still think if crypto loans really work and there is a very very low risk of losing my funds.
Crypto loans do work but it has a very high risk in terms of keeping your funds safe.

Blockfi offers up to 8.5% interest p.a. and there are more competitors, but would you 100% trust them?
I wanted to know if you trust platforms like NEXO or BlockFI that will work with your cryptocurrencies honestly and in the end, you will not lose your funds, for example when crisis happens.
Personally, I wouldn't and on top of that, it's really not worth it to risk your earned money for such interest rate [through a third party]...
- Take note that a lot of these platforms are targets of hackers on a regular basis (you never know when it could happen).
- They keep on changing the interest rates (AFAIK).
3731  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for help to start funding a livestock project on: June 26, 2020, 07:07:18 AM
I am looking for tips on how to get funding and accelerate the project, i am working on a website and reuniting information, i will probably end this sooner if i can delegate some of the works to people who´s actual job is this.
In addition to crwth's comment, you can try the following platforms [crypto based] as well:

Take note: I'm not vouching for these platforms.

3733  Economy / Service Discussion / Looking for an explorer/website that lists UTXOs of Bitcoin addresses on: June 25, 2020, 04:23:59 PM
Back in the day, blockchain.info's [before moving to .com] explorer had that function but it no longer lists UTXOs as it used to and it keeps on giving inaccurate results & errors...

Code:
https://blockchain.info/unspent?address=YOUR ADDRESS
- Keeps on giving "No free outputs to spend" message.

Code:
https://www.blockchain.com/btc/unspent?active=YOUR ADDRESS&format=html
- It doesn't support "BECH32 (P2WPKH)" format.
- It shows its results with a string of words/letters [not like how it used to show (image source)].

Take note: I'm not looking for a wallet with such function.
3734  Other / Meta / Re: What about to add this feature on forum? on: June 24, 2020, 07:05:58 AM
I would like to also see this feature either on this forum or the next one...

Alternatively, here's my workaround...
- I just save respective links to each of my posts that I think might come in handy, then simply bookmark them and place them in a labeled folder.

even this is not implemented we can use the old of using the Search Button and use the Choose a board to search in, or search all.
But it doesn't give you concentrated results.

Before anyone mentions using the "search option in each topic", it always gives inaccurate results.
3735  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Special addresses on: June 24, 2020, 04:35:51 AM
I'm looking for addresses with some kind of story..
hell they don't have to be vanity addresses at all as long as they come with a good story attached to them!
On that note, I would like to mention the address behind the "Bitcoin Pizza Day" story: 1XPTgDRhN8RFnzniWCddobD9iKZatrvH4

Story:

In addition to that, there are a few interesting addresses in the following thread: The Top Bitcoin Donation Addresses

3739  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Satoshilancer - Freelancing, Outsourcing and affiliate program on: June 23, 2020, 08:27:49 AM
I just wanted to let you know that I'm not experiencing the issue mentioned by jossiel [slow loading times].
- Tested with/without a VPN.

IMHO, the "escrow fee" that freelancers are charged [both normal (8%) and premium (5%)] is a bit high.

In regards to normal employers with "10 project limits" and normal freelancers with "25 bid limits", are those only for active projects/bids or it also includes finished projects?
3740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 22, 2020, 07:40:19 AM
Second also will Liverpool will be giving that much given the players they have?
I highly doubt they'll spend that much for someone that would [most likely] warm their bench now.

One of the reasons why I like Arsene Wenger £80 ain't a small money, it can buy a good amount of decent players who will fill out the position Jack wanna fill, English players always over hype,
You're right but prices have spiked a lot in recent years + English players have proven themselves in EPL [to an extent].
- I still agree that such prices aren't reasonable.

I think he wants guaranteed starts & Guardiola used as a substitute a lot, even before this season when he’s been recovering from injury.
I'm hoping his relationship with Arteta might help in getting him at Arsenal but I'm too optimistic.

Cengiz Ünder - ac milan or fc everton, which club will get him?
I'm going with Everton but since he's still young, I'm expecting to see him for another year in Roma.

Bukayo Saka from arsenal to liverpool?!
I can't see this happening. Arteta has mentioned keeping him and Auba is one of his main targets.

Some rumors:

- Arsenal might look for another goalie
- Inter targeting Kyle Walker
