3721  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you use a VPN on a casino, even if it is not allowed in their ToS? on: June 01, 2023, 11:38:42 PM
I know this is a bit controversial, but some casinos are looking the other way... when people are using VPNs. I know it might be legal in some instances, but you are still taking a risk by using it.

Always read the terms and conditions of any casino or online sportbooks before making use of them. If the terms rejects the use of VPN to access their platforms then don't violate their rules and expect them to pay you when you win big gambling.

We have many casinos to use in betting or sportsbooks to use in booking your sport games therefore you don't have to default. Make use of the better alternative and make sure you obey their rules as well. Make sure you're not guilty so don't get denied your winnings.

Gambling is banned in some countries and when the authorities find out a casino or sportsbooks were allowing people from those country that don't support gambling are using VPN to access their platforms, it becomes an issue and might make the casino to close.
3722  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question about casino, sports bet on: June 01, 2023, 11:31:55 PM
Hi, i would like to know if there is any android application for casino sites, sports bets where you can bet with crypto thanks

I think most casinos or sportsbook platforms has their application both on the playstore and appstore that you can download their mobile application and use it to place your bets and they also make use of cryptocurency like Bitcoin and another altcoins like the casino tokens

I don't know what specific features you're looking for in the application but they're very user friendly and you can use it with ease. I don't see any disadvantage of this platforms having a mobile application to make accessing the platform easier.

The advantages are many as it will increase the users that visit the sites, our modern generation love simplicity and if you make your site to get easier to access then you can get their attention. All casino and sports book should own a mobile application.
3723  Economy / Speculation / Re: Correction from $30K: Reason to worry? on: May 31, 2023, 07:36:59 AM
More than 2 months the price is below $30k, of course this is worrying because there is a chance the price will continue to fall, but if we look at the long term trend then the best thing for now is to hold, I plan to hold for at least another 6 years and won't panic if the price drop even below $10k.

Holding for 6 years is very possible if you have something that brings income to you and you didn't invest more than you can afford to lose in Bitcoin when it was at its peak. Many investors that came into the market during the peak are those worried.

Asking them to hold for 6 years or more 2 years is asking them for too much from their point of view since most of them thought they'll just invest and get profits the next few months. Some people believe Bitcoin will pump in 2023 but that's because they have no experience.

If Bitcoin price was to drop below $10,000 we shouldn't still panic instead use that opportunity to buy more Bitcoin and keep holding. When it's the bull market, we'll benefit from the decision we took of buying Bitcoin when everyone is panicking.
3724  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which New Technology will be adopted by the Gambling Industry? on: May 31, 2023, 07:26:57 AM
According to my understanding, there are two important innovations that will be adopted by the Gambling industry.

VR/AR Casinos:

Not just Apple but Samsung and Facebook with other big companies are already looking for how they can benefit from the hype of metaverse which is why they're working on virtual and artificial reality and that's why I believe VR will be adopted first by the casinos.

AI will mostly benefits the players so I don't think casinos will implement that on the casino but VR and AR will benefits the casinos and bring in revenue since it'll bring in a new set of players who will want to bet on the casinos from the comfort of their house.

And they'll also want to experience new adventures which the Virtual reality and artificial reality will provide. Many companies are working to bring out different devices to make Virtual Reality more fun and enjoyable so I bet VR/AR gets adopted first.
3725  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do you still want to play fake web2 casinos? Why we choose web3 casinoso on: May 31, 2023, 06:50:13 AM
I think the answer is fairly simple: web3 casinos aren’t that polished just yet and web2 platforms simply work. If you can point out an example of a web3 casino that works flawlessly that doesn’t have any issues with law enforcement, then that would be great and we might as well try. That’s another reason why Web3 platforms aren’t as popular: they have potential issues with governments due to their nature that’s why people wouldn’t dare risk it.

True, also web3 don't have the trust of the community because most of them are accused of scamming and some are actually scamming their customers. Web3 isn't yet popular because the other existing popular crypto casino hasn't given us a reason not to trust them.

Web3 projects doesn't have a good reputation as they're always under attack by getting breach. The popular ones we had turned out not to be totally decentralized so people are doubting if the web 3 casino coming out are decentralized as they say they're

When decentralization fully takes over the internet and projects are built using trusted blockchain, making their web3 projects trustworthy, they'll begin to get customers making use of their casino but for now we still stick with web 2 that are giving us excellent service.
3726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which Crypto coin Do You Gamble with the Most? on: May 31, 2023, 06:37:46 AM
So for me, I've always preferred to do all my gambling in stable coins only for the reasons given above..
So what about you? Do you feel and do the same or do you have a different perspective to this altogether? Let's discuss.

Stablecoin is one of the best ways of gambling and that's what many casinos has as a default option. It isn't stablecoin but the value are USD. I gamble with any currency, I don't care about the currency but just want my wins as it can be easily converted when I'm done.

If the casino is having a promotion for their token to be used for some benefits, I'll do that without hesitating because I love when I get free bonuses and gambling with altcoins doesn't mean you'll lose, bets don't stay long so you can also get your profits out.

Same goes for betting with Bitcoin, many people prefer this choice than altcoins but I don't care that much since we can always sell to a preferable cryptocurrency or stablecoin before anything happen or hold so we gain more profits as the market increase.
3727  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bull run near already? on: May 30, 2023, 06:55:51 PM
Why are you surprised that bitcoin can't break through $30k? Because as you said in your experience, the bull market will only appear after the halving occurs. I find it quite contradictory in your statement.
Furthermore, if you believe that the bull season will only begin after the halving, that means you believe in history, believe in the 4-year cycle of the market. Even if bitcoin breaks through $30k and stays above it, that doesn't mean we'll enter a bull season this year.
Why should we stress when bitcoin is still under $30k? I think that is more positive than negative, we will have enough time to buy bitcoin cheaply.

I'm surprised because Bitcoin was doing so well last two months that it should have stayed above $30,000. As we're staying below $30,000 it's just a matter of time before the price falls below $25,000 then $20,000 and the panic begins to happen.

The more we stay below $30,000 the sell orders will keep increasing and since we're in a bear market, there won't be enough counter buy power to keep the price from crashing and taking the price down to a lows that would cause panic in the market.

I never said we were in the bull market, we're in the bear market but still not the worst stages of the bear market therefore we should have be seeing some positive movement in the market. If Bitcoin can stay above $30,000 that'll be great as it'll give hope.
3728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you handle long shot bets? on: May 30, 2023, 06:41:19 PM
The real problem starts when I’m on a long losing streak with same bet amount let's say 5 win streak. My mind set change from relax gambling to chasing loss. Even after I recover my loss, I bet already in abnormal pattern so that I can earn profit in a fast way. I always conclude my mistake after gambling. I keep repeating this cycle. My gambling time only ended up if I’m on profit big time or 100% loss my bankroll. I don’t know but it’s very hard for to quit gambling when my bankroll is at loss or on a little bit profit.

This is very common among gamblers but you have to fight it because if you want to be very successful at gambling, you have to be doing it right and not letting your emotions make decisions for you. If you're gambling don't chase loss, just move on if you lose continuously.

Whenever I lose on shot bets for a number of times I stop immediately, I use small amounts to gamble so it doesn't put me in debts and to avoid getting into those debts I stop when I noticed I'm not having a lucky day. I bet both on slots games and soccer.

Whenever I loss, I have the mindset that it wasn't my day and comes back another time to play. I start with the same bet I lost but not because I'm trying to make up for what I lost the last time but because I want to try my luck again believing things will be different.
3729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Allow To Undergo Hypnosis If A Professional Recommend To Cure Gambling on: May 30, 2023, 06:33:13 PM
You want to get cured of compulsive gambling because you are too deep into it and you are under professional supervision to cure your addiction, your physician asks you to undergo hypnosis to cure your deep-rooted addiction, will you allow it

I dislike addiction and I'll do anything possible to cure it if I ever go done with such condition. I have watched addict destroy those I love and it affected me mentally and I won't want the same thing to happen to does around me that loves me and I love them too.

If hypnosis is the cure to my compulsive addiction and there are no side effects to it and my physician can confirm to be that it is totally safe, I'll undergo it. How bad can it be, I lose control of myself for some minutes or hours and I come back to my senses.

If anything was to go wrong, I'll have to sue both my physician and the person that hypnotized me. Because they put my life at risk and if it was to go as planned, then I thank them with recommending their service so they make more money.
3730  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: May 30, 2023, 06:20:48 PM
Are you one of those who agree or refuse to fill out kyc on gambling sites? So far, the Kyc that you have filled in on the gambling site is safe? I've never had a problem with the Kyc that I filled out at the gambling site. Have you ever felt cheated from Kyc submitted?

Gambling platforms are centralized so nothing in there is safe, when we want to make withdrawal we just have to fulfill all the rules since without competing it we can't withdraw our money but that doesn't mean we can  trust the platforms not to misused our information submitted.

The gambling platforms can't hurt you physical since they don't seel the KYC to criminals but they sell it the marketing agency and they use it for advertising business to us. They also make your identity not to be anonymous since the government can request for it.

Gambling platforms servers can be hacked and the KYC stolen and that might put your life at risk. The platforms mightn't be involved in the hacking of the KYC data but because they're using a centralized server that's why there shoudn't be trusted.
3731  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bull run near already? on: May 28, 2023, 10:18:29 AM
The bull market hasn't arrived yet. A massive correction happens befor the bull market transition. For now we see small corrections that drive the price move within specific range. The market that grew from the price range of $16k and reaching around $27k  happened all of the sudden. From there bitcoin wasn't able to move good in position. In particular it tried to move high above $30k, but it couldn't achieve it. Altcoins were also following bitcoin which means the market is self driven and the altcoins season too hadn't started.

Before altcoins seasons happens, we first have to have a Bitcoin season that the price will keep on pumping for several weeks and it will be obvious that we are in a bull market as all positive news about Bitcoin and the crypto market will start coming out.

As you said, what we have been seeing are small corrections and pumps and they're not significant to determined if the bull market has started or the bear season is over. Everything starts after Bitcoin halving in my experience as bull market comes one year after halving is over.

It still surprised me that Bitcoin couldn't stay above $30,000 after trying to cross the price for so long which is finally did. I thought the price will increase or stay above $30,000 but seeing the price at $27,000 means we're not in a bull market yet.
3732  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this considered a safe practice on: May 28, 2023, 09:49:25 AM
Yes indeed, better to keep yourself away from those possible hack or scam that might take place, unless you are willing to take the risk but still the logic here is if you are done doing your research and you trust the platform, without doing it staying away should be the first line of your protection, not providing private details will save your butt in any possiblity of getting scam or getting hack by someone who are just watching you without you knowing, someone who are waiting for you to make a mistake and grab that opportunities.

Aren't the credit cards also been used on other websites that aren't casino website. Example, shopping websites, locals stores etc. There's always risk all around us, we have to be careful and trust the system that we're using and don't keep too much money in the cards.

We can open a sperate account and money inside that account could be used  just for gambling so any credit card that's linked with the account will only be affected Incase of a phishing attack on the website, hackers might takes over the website or clone the website.

Some casino might have games that you'll like to play and if their deposit option are only credit card and you can't stop yourself from gambling on the website, then you can use the solution I suggest above to keep yourself safe and still enjoy your bets
3733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why choosing instant withdrawal casinos on: May 28, 2023, 09:39:32 AM
Choosing casino with instant withdrawal is recommended, but not all casinos offer instant withdrawal and casinos with instant withdrawal may process withdrawal longer for some specific reasons (usually for check/investigation) if the casino suspect something suspicious in the account. You have admitted that it is your own fault so it is a lesson learned for you. 2 important lesson from your case are about choosing casinos with proven instant withdrawal (not only self-claim from the casino) and being more patient as much as possible while waiting for your withdrawal.

All casino should be processing withdrawal instantly and if they're not doing so then they shoudn't be used. For some specific cases that they have to delay withdrawal for security reasons, that's all fine but if there's no security verification then they should be instant.

They should accept and proceed withdrawal in cryptocurrency and when there's network congestion on a blockchain they can notify their customers to use other options for withdraw like stablecoin or altcoins that their confirmation rate are very high.

Cryptocurency exchange do this every time, their withdrawal are instant and only get delays for specific cases and immediately they verify the situation they resolve it faster with a KYC verification method. Casinos can also do the same.
3734  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a web3 casino for you? on: May 28, 2023, 09:22:24 AM
You are right, but it doesn't end there, there are some self proclaimed web3 casinos that are not truly a web 3 casino, having to login only with walletconnect and other defi means does not necessarily conclude that the casino is a complete web3.

True, and that's how other part of the industry are, most cryptocurrency projects that claim to solve a particular problem don't solve that problem but only hoping on the hype of that trend to pump their project so they make profits and run away in the bear market.

This is the reason we have many projects dying during the bear market. Cryptocurency is mostly about promises and not fulfilments. We have had many casinos promise to be decentralized but later get exposed for not been decentralized.

Many gamblers are also not informed, they think just because they get connected through their wallets to the casino website, that they're operating on a web3 casino. Like we have with metaverse and other Defi projects, most of the casinos parading as a web 3 casino aren't.
3735  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a Gambler and a Die-Hard Fan of a Club Would you Bet Against your Club on: May 28, 2023, 09:12:12 AM
As a gambler and a die-hard fan of a club that has been having a terrible season, would you bet against your club, knowing that their loss would be your financial gain? Or would you stay loyal and not bet against them?

Gambling is a business, supporting a football isn't a business. You're not been paid to support a club and the club mightn't know you. If I know my club can't defeat a particular team and I know they'll will lose to them, there's nothing wrong for me trying to make money from their loss.

You already know youI'll suffer in the hands of the opposition club. So since I can't get the joy of winning let me get some money to buy myself some bear. You gamble to make money and if you're a frequent gambler, you will never bet for your club to win when you know your club can't win.

You already know the club that your team are playing against.Since you can't intentionally make yourself to lose just because of the club you're supporting, I think the same should apply to betting against them. When gambling always try to win not lose intentionally.
3736  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will happen to the bitcoin rate if the global economy collapses in 2023? on: May 27, 2023, 09:09:59 PM
Recently, there has been a lot of news on the topic - the collapse of the global economy in 2023. According to some forecasts, this will happen in the summer.
What do you think will happen to bitcoin in this case?

Just like what happened in 2020 whenever the general market experience a collapse due to the pandemic or war it will affects Bitcoin, if the global economy collapse in 2023, Bitcoin would also collapse with the general market as people will panic and begin selling to take profits.

But Bitcoin will recover faster than other assets and it'll increase to pass the past all time high since Bitcoin halving is coming next year and the market will respond positively immediately the world crises is resolved. Bitcoin will only crash because people will panic.

Still I don't think the war going on between Ukraine and Russia is big enough to affect the whole world, it'll only affects everybody if other countries enters into the war but it seems everyone is holding back which looks good for now so it doesn't escalate into other countries.
3737  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling is a choice. on: May 27, 2023, 08:52:24 PM
What he says is very true, because a casino player who knows what he is getting into should keep in mind that when he enters a casino, the most probable thing is not to win but to lose, why? because casinos always have the house advantage and that is something that will always happen at any time, wherever a casino goes, it always has that way of protecting itself and being able to have its winnings, the rest is something that can be taken as a way to spend money on fun and it's totally acceptable , Everyone who plays knows that they are going to have fun First.

I think a gambler should have a positive mindset, although he should know what he's getting himself into as it's a game of chances that can go both ways yet he should have a possible mindset or he can never win any bets. I noticed I win more in days I'm feeling lucky.

If you know you're going to lose then why are you gambling, the loss should be at the back of your mind so you don't get disappointed but don't believe it because we have those winning. You can be one of those people so you have to believe before playing.

If you don't believe you won't win. Gambling is a choice so is winning is a choice but as you gamble you have to control yourself so you don't exceed your limit and gamble above your initial budget or try avenging your losses, just move on and try another day.
3738  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Questions of the day for gamblers on: May 27, 2023, 08:29:59 PM
When the online gambling business, especially crypto casinos, becomes more and more popular than now, the government is bound to come and hunt them down. The government only wants to control the place but can't control crypto, so they do things like that to find out the people who play crypto.

The government knows alots of illegal activities might be going on in those crypto casinos because they're not regulated, we have lots of money launders making use of casino to wash and clean their money and if this casinos aren't regulated, they can't be questioned.

When the casinos get regulated, the owners becomes more scared and leave the illegal businesses they're operating with the casino. Online casino are just like the traditional casino that illegal people and businesses use to clean or wash their illegal money.

The government in this cases are only doing the right thing. Alot of casino are getting illegal funding which are drug money and other illegal money. And they can simple say those are profits from the casino and go free without investigation if they're not regulated.
3739  Economy / Gambling / Re: Without money, does it still qualify as gambling? on: May 27, 2023, 08:20:20 PM
Have you heard of Superpicks on DSTV? where you can make predictions and win money without staking your money?

if you have not, check it out. Superpicks.com

My question is can it still be called gambling if it is not played with money?

We can't call this gambling since there's no money or valuable assets been risked. You don't only gamble when you stake money, there are so many others valuable assets that can be us in place of money for example, your house or other valuable properties you own.

For your example, this is more of an advertisment, they're looking for customers to use their services therefore giving our free promotion for users to participate in and win free rewards. The more the competition get popular, more participants might decide to use their products.

This type of promotion also encourages people to bet money for the real games as they'll they always have that too just Incase they get customers that are feeling lucky and wants to try betting with real money instead of playing for free that reduce their chances of winning.
3740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you been threaten to stop gambling on: May 27, 2023, 08:12:04 PM
So I don't indulge myself in gambling but my wife makes me this bad in Many times the urge to break out of the habit. However, with my wife's encouragement, I devote very little time to online casinos and gambling. I now stay away from betting only on IPL cricket. But my wife won't let me catch more than one bet every day.

Your wife is doing a good job because gamblers don't make good husband and fathers unless they're winning always and majority of gamblers aren't winning always for them to have enough money to spoil their wife and children instead they're taking from them.

Some gamblers are so addicted that only a threat can save them from been destroyed due to gambling addiction. For example, if the wife threaten to divorce him if he doesn't stop gambling since it's destroying the family, the man might reconsider his decisions.

I have heard of stories when families go broke because of the husband gambling addictions. If been gentle doesn't work then the wife or relations can try threatening the man so he rethinks his bad habit. Others shouldn't suffer for our poor decisions.
