3721  Economy / Economics / Re: Methods of Coping with Food Shortages and High Prices on: April 01, 2022, 07:25:06 AM
This should not even be a discussion. Think about it, the whole world is full of water and land, two of the most important things that you need for farming. If the world wanted to, we have the power to feed everyone twice, like twice more than what we need basically, and literally give everyone ANYTHING they want to eat. Why don't we? Because it is not profitable, why would we do something that would cost a lot of money without a proper return.

Farming is basically dying, even though it looks better in some places, the long story short is the fact that it is not growing as fast as the food needs and right now logistics is getting even worse because of oil prices. So here we are, talking about "coping with food shortages", it should not even be a thing.

If the government were only supporting farmers very hard so that they could plant more. Imagine no accessible roads and also farmers are getting paid a very small amount or their produce is only bought for cheap prices. This makes farmers want to quit and just go to the city to find construction jobs. If we can just prevent this because this will lead to food shortages, as an individual, what is really the best way to cope with food shortages is to have our own backyard garden. I know most of the things mentioned here are like fruit trees, but this will take years, right, but in your backyard garden you just need to plant vegetables? This will take only a few weeks or months.
3722  Economy / Economics / Re: china's harsh exploitation on crypto assets on: March 31, 2022, 07:25:54 PM

China basically wants to control the population through harsh administrative control and at the same time they have to understand the fact that it's important for people to have free control of assets and their currencies as well which does mean that people will find a way out of the administrative controll that means China will have a brain drain soon. Meaning china is going to loose the IT sector definitely.
Yep, it's the same old story with them and it hasn't changed one bit in my lifetime as far as I know--granted, I don't live there, but I've heard the same horror stories of communist repression for as long as I can remember, so I don't think the government has changed much in decades.  Unfortunately the same is true for the US as well, though our government isn't a totalitarian one.

Also, I doubt the IT sector is going to disappear from China anytime soon.  There are way too many smart, tech-oriented people there for that to happen.

Have you heard about their social credit system? It is like they are rating their citizens by following the laws. This is insane because every move is monitored because there are cameras everywhere watching you, so the privacy that we are discussing now is already not on them. They will say it has a good impact, but it is kind of scary to me. Regarding their IT sector, it is impossible to disappear since they are a tech-leading country, and  it has a huge impact on their social credit system and their upcoming secret projects.
3723  Economy / Economics / Re: ExxonMobil in the US is piloting a bitcoin mining project in North Dakota on: March 31, 2022, 03:40:14 PM
The fact that large corporations are mining bitcoin is not surprising given the current value of the bitcoin, but according to the news I read that they are using wasted flare gas which is not a renewable energy source, but rather comes from drilling for oil, which we all know that it has  a negative impact on the environment. I am shocked that this type of waste can be recycled in some way that you can power a miner; however, there are currently no infrastructures in place or any information about their pilot program that I could  see in the internet.

3724  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a place in the world you could live like a king via sig campaigns? on: March 31, 2022, 11:52:47 AM
I think first word country people need to travel a bit and realize how cheap living could be.
Some do, and I certainly would if I had enough money.  Unfortunately I don't, nor do I have anyone to travel with (sadly).  I'd love to check out India and the surrounding countries, and some countries in South America as well--Brazil and Belize in particular.

I believe you should consider South East Asian countries, which are typically third world countries such as the Philippines, where the cost of living is low because renting a small boarding house here was around $40/month (this is a decent one, you will have your own room a shared kitchen and bathroom), renting a whole house here is mostly $200, with the bills sometimes being free and also wifi depending on your landlord, but the problem is very low salary, with the minimum wage being only $1.25 an hour. I saw a lot of Americans visiting our country because of the climate and also they knew that Filipinos are very accommodating to visitors.
3725  Economy / Economics / Re: When Will This War End? on: March 31, 2022, 07:03:50 AM
No one knows, if Ukraine does not become a neutral country then Russia will continue to launch its aggression. You know that Putin is a person who doesn't give up easily, no matter the victims on both sides. As long as Ukraine position on Russia threatens Russia balance with NATO, the war will continue. Btw, I almost left out all the latest information on this, because I was tired of the news, that war is murder by legal means. Terrifying

The negotiations on the 29th showed that Ukraine is ready to become a neutral country, not joining any alliance and not allowing other countries to establish military bases in Ukraine. There have been several ceasefires and the opening of more humanitarian corridors for people to move out of the war zone. But by agreeing to the independence of the two territories of Donetsk and Luhansk from Ukraine, it is almost impossible to compromise and Putin is not one to give up easily. The war is not over yet.

For that action they made and decide to be a neutral country they might change the mind of Putin towards his aggression. We know that this is the root cause of the war and the only thing left for them to retreat or end this war and that is Zelensky will officially declare his defeat to Russia.

Putin is not one to give up easily, he will not stop until his goal is achieved. He called this war a special military operation. The only way is for Ukraine to surrender, but every country has national pride. as I said they can accept neutrality but not accept sharing your people and part of your country with others. If it's Russia in return, I think they will too, cannot lose even a single piece of national territory.

I agree with this. This war would not end if one of the parties had lost, meaning if Russia successfully invaded Ukraine, then that would be the time that the war ended. This is what we should be expecting now since, as you can see, Putin is unstoppable in invading Ukraine. We know that because of the war now, we are struggling because of the prices and are hoping that if ever the war is ended, the prices will get back to normal.
3726  Economy / Economics / Re: online skills in the face of war on: March 30, 2022, 05:41:00 PM
I was thinking within me and my thoughts was if  everyone needs to get a digital skill in-spite of their profession or discipline. looking at it from the angle of declining economies where political, societal, ethnic, cultural, religious, territorial and economic war is hitting the apex as well as currency devaluation. Following this high level of declining economy is it best to get a digital skill either as a full time business or a complementary pay check.

Salaries and wages this days aren't sufficient any longer to handle daily bills, most salary earners still live below their salaries which keeps them in perpetual debt. Now in this era the best place to meet a vast crowd of clients is on an online platform and this way more services can be rendered within lesser time with more patronage. So i began my thoughts is digital skill the alternative

If we try to analyze this critically we might say this insufficiency in pay checks is one of the factors that is triggering greed, selfish and money conscious services around organizations. I was thinking If many get an side paying job with digital skill that can help handle bills it might be a gateway to reducing the self centered services we receive

Are you thinking what I am thinking or do you have a different view

In this era, lots of opportunities are being offered online, and having skills will always be an advantage. Instead of being greedy for the things that we want to achieve, we should accumulate more skills so we could easily embrace the opportunities and job offers online. Crypto-related jobs are everywhere but it also needs hard work as an investment but it will all be worth it.

Yes, there are a lot of opportunities online, and you can really get a lot of tutorials or acquired skills online for free or for a small fee, but it takes a lot of time and effort to build a successful business. When something unexpected happens, honing your skills is your most valuable asset because it can help you earn money and be more successful in life. Commitment and patience are required in this situation, otherwise you will give up immediately. Additionally, competition is extremely intense right now, so you must be the best among the rest..
3727  Economy / Economics / Re: Russia's effect on IT sector? on: March 30, 2022, 02:08:36 PM
For Russia's war with Ukraine, the west put heavy sanctions on Russia. That means export and import with Russia is not accessible. Data shows Russia is the biggest exporter of raw materials like copper, aluminum, nickel, platinum, palladium, etc which is used in chip making. That means we are expecting more delays in the semiconductor industry. We all know how important this staff is to run electronic devices. Disruption on-chip shortages could spike the price of digital devices too which affects globally. Is that a good idea to push Russia out of the world economy? This sanction of the west could have a boomerang effect?
Even in US they feel the effects already with the increase of gas prices which will cause every price to be increased but governments will not reverse the sanctions especially US but countries from EU are still buying oil from Russia and they will continue to do so the trade deals will affect everyone instead of the only one.

They are purchasing because the price of oil from Russia is significantly lower than the price of oil purchased from other countries. Russian President Vladimir Putin is a brilliant strategist in his efforts to counter the economic sanctions that are having a negative impact on everyone, such as legalizing piracy in their country. I believe India was one of the countries that purchased oils for them at a low cost, and I believe that they will continue to do so because of the high price of gasoline currently in effect. We can only stop selling to them, but we cannot completely prevent them from doing so. Sanctions and war are making our lives worse all over the world right now.
3728  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: An advice for newbies and plebs on: March 30, 2022, 01:12:29 PM
No one starts on being a pro which its understandable that mistakes would really be normal but its true that we should really be learning from it instead on quitting or being discouraged just because you

had lost money which it is really just normal and you would be basically be learning off things on dealing or engaging with it.The next time you do encounter it off again then you do already have the idea
and awareness on what you should gonna do even though this market is unpredictable but handling it out and have some  idea on what to do is a must.Lessen out the risk as much as you could
and mind off on how you would gonna sustain yourself is the most important thing.
Well if they have a passion or interest in trading, they will take losses as a compliment to challenge their selves to become better at it but for someone that tries trading only because they hear that trading can give you a good income, they are the ones that will easily quit once they lose on their first few tries. Not only that but they will also blame and say that people that encourage them to trade are liars.

@OP, it looks like your predictions are wrong for this current year. Sure prices are dumping at the first few months but not anymore. Prices now are preparing for a bullish run. We don't know yet what can happen next year but 2024 is likely a bull since there's a halving.

Agreed, and the majority of people who lose their money are those who want to earn money quickly and without exerting any effort, such as by not learning something about trading. Since losses are not appealing, I do not consider them to be a compliment at all. Instead, I consider them to be a form of learning breakthrough, because they allow you to ask yourself why a trade is not working. I understand that you cannot predict every movement of the chart, but there are reasons for this, such as when there is new news that affects the markets. This is the most exciting part for new traders because this is the stage at which a large number of people give up.
3729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When and how did you discover Bitcoin? on: March 30, 2022, 07:11:47 AM
One thing that kind of drives me crazy is I don't remember exactly when or how I discovered bitcoin.  I know that it was either late 2013 or early 2014, but I can't specifically remember when or how.  I have a few email records from late 2014 which prove that I knew of bitcoin from back then, but they do not provide any clues as to how I discovered it.

So how about you, when and how did you discover bitcoin? What were your initial thoughts?  Did you think negatively of it at first discovery and change your mind, or did you always think it was a great idea?

Wow, at that price, you are unquestionably a millionaire if you can hold on to it until now. I discovered bitcoin in 2016, I graduated from college around 2015, and I still hadn't found a job at the time. Earning money online is becoming increasingly popular, so I tried for almost a year to find online jobs or any other form of income, but I failed miserably. I tried everything I'd read about on blogs. For example, I recall a time in June of 2016 when I was about to give up on finding a job online when I discovered a bitcoin group on Facebook. Curious, I joined and began learning about bitcoin. It was at this point that I met a lot of people online who guided me through the process, and it is through them that I am now able to make money with bitcoin.
3730  Economy / Economics / Re: OMG crypto is low ! what do i do ? on: March 29, 2022, 05:05:57 PM
I believe there was a deficiency in terms of purchasing more coins when cryptocurrency was at a low. Assume that this is some sort of sale similar to those found in shopping malls. 50 percent off, but only buy the ones that are worth it, such as those that have a high likelihood of making a big profit in the future. This is exactly what the investor or trader is looking for; this is where they are purchasing, as well as the holders. Your suggestion will take a lot of time and money to complete, unless you are building it for a scam project in which case it will be completed quickly.
3731  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: March 29, 2022, 12:11:29 PM
Fans of Soniq for PUBG PCS6 will be pleased with this quick update. They are in the Top 2, with the Dodge being the top team. The Dodge was a bit of an underdog in the previous PCS, but they have made the most progress since then. Even though I haven't watched the entire stream, based on the clips I've seen, it appears that soniqs have a better rotation than those PCS5 who, it is fair to say, are killing themselves by rotating in the center or by constantly pushing high ground, which they are well aware will result in defeat. I am looking forward to PCS6 because TGLT is a little more reserved and not as boastful as it has been in the past.
3732  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is going to be bad for the Indian Bitcoin community on: March 29, 2022, 07:03:00 AM
How, in my opinion, will they put it into action? As far as I'm aware, a task force will be in charge of monitoring this, and a law is being drafted, which I believe will allow people to evade the law during its initial implementation. However, I'm not sure what their tactics will be in dealing with those who do evade the law. Do they begin with the financial institutions? because this is the actual source from which cryptocurrency holders and sellers obtain their digital assets when they sell them. Although it is still up for debate in my mind, I am confident that there will be evading this, which is extremely bad news for the entire world. If this is implemented successfully in India, I believe that other governments will follow suit.
3733  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Friends Give Me BTC as Birthday give on: March 28, 2022, 12:16:05 PM
Although it is a little late, it is better to be late than never! Happy birthday to you, my good friend! If someone has given you a bitcoin, whether it be from an exchange or directly out of your wallet, I am grateful; however, I understand that some of the comments here will suggest that he should have sent you some of it directly into your wallet rather than giving you an email and password from an exchange; however, this is still a very nice gift. You stated that you have only learned bitcoin in the last 15 days, which is a good start, and in order to grasp the bitcoin from that exchange to your hardware wallet, you will need to understand and learn it over time, which you will do over time.
3734  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender bias in gambling. on: March 28, 2022, 10:22:21 AM
You have to realize that gambling is a business and they are only after the money and nothing more. So, if it is only men that are gambling in casinos, then people would focus on that to make more money. If you have 98% men in your casino and 2%, would you do equal ads or whatever? No, you would put in some semi-naked chicks to attract men more and more, that is how you make money.

Because at the end of the day, if it meant that 98% was women, they would put men with no shirts on and with abs, they do not care about what they do, they only care about who they are doing it to and how much money it would mean back to them and that is the profitable version for them.
Gambling is not legal in many culture and countries - having a label of gambler is serious taboo in our society. It is not much appreciated and admired in our law, culture and society. Anyone found gambling will be in trouble, hence be it male or female, in our society the gambler would face a serious trouble.

Yes, gambling has been outlawed in a number of countries. Well, I believe that this is more prevalent in religious countries because they do not permit it for the majority of women, but have you read the thread that is celebrating Women's Day and is saluting those women gamblers? I believe that there are a significant number of women who still participate in gambling. As a woman, I believe that seeing a woman gamble is no longer shocking, whereas it was previously. It was liberating to see, but in the twenty-first century, almost everyone is aware of it and has nothing to say about it.
3735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stay away from crypto influencers on: March 28, 2022, 04:43:45 AM
Many who follow the project make video content on youtube at this time but they sometimes do not make research first so they are only utilized by those who want to make their own profits and not from the team part of the project, but there are also crypto influencers who pay because they do make kompanye vidio through youtube, in all projects we should not be easily tempted by big offers because not all will be fulfilled.
I also have the same opinion as you, don't be too tempted by a big offer and a high value, because most of these crypto influencers don't pay, but there are also these crypto influencers who pay by making campaign videos on YouTube, and regarding crypto influencers we must also do this. research on it.

That is the true purpose of a crypto influencer; they are paid to promote a coin that has no future. Scammers are much better now than they were previously, and they put in a lot more effort to defraud people. We could say they hired big names to amass large sums of money and then flee. Before I forget, most influencers do not discuss cryptocurrency, and you can find some whose content is about cryptocurrency with a sponsor because they are discussing a coin with potential.
3736  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying BTC vs Mining it on: March 26, 2022, 02:45:30 PM
The cost for mining bitcoin is not that cheap, if it were, there would have been alot of people mining it than holding, The capital that you want to use in mining might not be that huge, but i would advise that you use it in buying bitcoin to hold than to use it in buying equipment use in mining, paying electricity bills and other expenses involved in mining, moreso you just buy and hold rather than passing through lots of stress in mining it

Unless you live in a country where renewable energy is used and electricity is free. This is the most difficult problem for a miner to solve: paying bills and determining whether or not you can still make a profit. Those who own mining farms in cold areas are usually only making a profit because most of them have low electricity costs and can reduce costs because they are already in a cold country. The best option for us is to buy one, as it requires less effort.
3737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is now a good time to be investing in Bitcoin? on: March 26, 2022, 01:30:21 PM
The war between Russia and Ukraine has no impact on crypto at all. i can't look any deeper i just see bitcoin always moving like before. if the whole world stops the war, my prediction will have an effect on crypto, because investors from that country will take their money to use.
Yes this war will not create any impact on crypto market. It is time to invest on Bitcoin because Bitcoin is growing regularly. If we do late to buy Bitcoin then it will not be possible to buy with low price. Rest of the world is focusing on the crypto market.

If you look back a few years, the price of bitcoin was too low and very affordable, but I didn't buy a single bitcoin at the time. Now, looking back, I can see that the price has increased dramatically and that if I had purchased a bitcoin at that time and sold it, I would be a millionaire in my country. Learn from your mistakes and invest whenever you have the opportunity if you plan on holding it for an extended period of time. Although the price is currently dropping or sometimes stabilizing, if you hold it for a few more years, I am confident that you will make a profit from your investment..
3738  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is one of the saviors on: March 26, 2022, 12:33:48 PM
Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies have been proven to be a good solution for investors and can make people helped when other investment conditions are very difficult to even die, I know and actively invested in Bitcoin since 2015 so that it gets a profit that I think is big, 2015 I mining with S5 and S7 and the results are satisfactory, namely being able to buy a $ 95K house, unfortunately mining conditions that continue to lose money make me stop mining in 2018 and sell all mining units.

The difficulty level of mining at this time is too low, so really you can gain a profit from it if you invest in a mining rig, but as the year goes by and a lot of people know it and invest in it, the difficulty of mining will increase because the bitcoin is almost mined already by the miners and also because of the halving of bitcoin. Also, the price of electricity is a hindrance since the cost of electricity has been increasing over the years, so it is not worth it to mine a bitcoin as a single person. You really need to set up a farm now.
3739  Economy / Economics / Re: US warns India over oil deal with Russia on: March 26, 2022, 11:13:58 AM
The bad thing about the US government is that they really want to control other countries and if it is related to the opposing country then warnings and even severe sanctions will be given to the country they feel is under their control, now they are trying it on india.  Russia-Ukraine war should not affect global trade, because many other countries need each other, especially oil.
I do not understand the actions of the United States from the logical side. They want to completely abandon all energy raw materials and force the rest of the world to do it. This is a very strong blow to the economies of these countries, for many it is a death sentence. I don’t understand why Biden dictates such conditions to the whole of Europe?

I think its because Biden wants the whole Europe to suffer but in the end we are all affected to it , imagine the prices now are really high and those who are earning minimum having difficulty of buying their own food. On the other hand the india would really buy if it has discounts as you can see the price of oil is not that affordable now so even my self i would really buy it

A quick update with PUBG PCS6 will begin on April 15th this coming week! The match would begin with America vs. APAC (which includes SEA and Oceania) and Asia vs. Europe in the following two weeks. I'm not sure how they shuffled it, but this kind of new rotation, as opposed to the previous one where APAC was pitted against Europe, where the majority of the strong contenders are located, would make it difficult to climb up into the high ladder tree on that. I'm excited about this because there are new teams participating, as well as some members of the European team who are not participating.
