3721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Last 2017/18 Bull Market compared to Current One on: April 16, 2021, 05:16:13 PM
Yeah but what's the latest status of the Lightning Network?

We need LN so we can use btc transactions for everyday life once btc volatility becomes steady.

I say because fiat $dollars might get wrecked due to high volatile inflation or even hyper inflation where it makes no sense to cash out btc for a dying asset $dollar which is super risky.

Once the $dollar is dead it will be replaced by the new programmable algorithmic CBDC Central Bank Digital Currency $dollar where the fed and government can program this new next gen centralized digital currency money to auto stop buying and selling of bitcoins with it so we need our own independent LN for bitcoin users can continue using bitcoin you know what I mean without relying on cashing it out which will not be a option soon.

Lightning Network is being integrated by many platforms but it is not yet full established.
To track news on Lightning Network you can follow

https://www.bitcoinlightning.com/
The Lightning Network FAQ

Fiat won't be wrecked so soon as it will stay for long and might not actually completely vanish.
It might stay along side cryptocurrencies. CBDCs are eventually gonna become a reality and LN is still far from wide adoption.
Things are lined up but will take enough time.
3722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how Bitcoin will deal with lost tokens? on: April 16, 2021, 04:25:39 PM
What happens to all the coins in lost wallets in the Bitcoin system? If there are only a finite number of coins, won't they become increasingly scarce as people lose them over time?

Consider it as burning of bitcoins for free  Grin Yes, it does make bitcoin scarce since the number of bitcoins in circulation gets reduced.
Since the supply is now decreased this increases the price of bitcoin in the long term.
Since no particular entity controls bitcoin the lost bitcoins are forever lost and cannot be accessed anymore.
3723  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does it still make sense to dollar cost average when the market is crazy bull? on: April 15, 2021, 05:19:48 PM
Hi, normally I'm a fan of dollar cost averaging.  But I'm thinking of not really dollar cost averaging because the market is obviously a very bull market right now for BTC.

What do you think will be the best strategy to enter the bitcoin market today?

Pick the lowest dip I can find say, this week, and invest all my principle. Or, dollar cost average anyway....if so, over what time horizon? Surely not over the next year.  Maybe a week? A month?

I personally believe that the train has almost left the station, which is why I am wondering if it makes no sense to dollar cost average at this time.

This depends on whether you are in it for the long term or for the short term profits. If you are in it for the long term then keep dollar cost averaging and keep accumulating.
This will increase your portfolio at regular intervals without worrying about the market price.
If you are in it for the short term gains then you should decide on your own whether to take the risk of going all in or wait for a dump to get in at a cheaper price.
3724  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Raspberry PI on: April 15, 2021, 05:13:20 PM

Has anyone successfully used the Raspberry PI  for mining.

The days to mine through CPU are long gone. You cannot mine bitcoin through CPU these days. Athough you can use it as a Full node and validate blocks.
I have a Raspberry Pi 400 and I am setting up the required accessories. I will be using it to run a Full node and contribute towards the bitcoin network.
3725  Local / India / Re: Good News for Indian Crypto Community on: April 15, 2021, 05:10:39 PM
However, I don't agree with the words of Anurag Thakur on volatility. If they can allow the gambling sites, mutual funds, stock trading platforms to run and advertise with
a short message of risk involved, how is bitcoin different from them? Yes, cryptocurrencies are highly volatile but not as volatile as losing money on platforms like Betway or Dream11.

That's a solid example of hypocrisy of the Indian Government. They will allow companies like Dream11 to advertise on National Television and other platforms but will think about banning cryptocurrency. I consider dream11 to be a bigger risk than bitcoin for obvious reasons. But since the Indian Government has benefits from Dream11 they allow it to run.
Bitcoin on the other hand is not in the hands of the Government which is why I guess they think to impose a ban on it. The debate on this has been going on and on and I personally don't think India will come to a conclusion on this any time soon.
3726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin demand among Workers globally!! on: April 12, 2021, 04:17:14 PM
Wow this is really great that people are becoming aware of potential bitcoin is but at the same time they should understand how much volatile bitcoin is.
What if the price of bitcoin dumps right after a person has received his monthly wages. The Employers should sign a contract determining the volatility of bitcoin and the employees must be aware of the risk. Only after such a contract the employees should have the option to receive the salary in bitcoin.
I would definitely get my salary in bitcoin  Tongue
3727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank & Government Crypto on: April 12, 2021, 04:13:37 PM
If banks and governments create their own cryptocurrency, will the people still be the ones to give value to it like Bitcoin and will we be able to store it in our own ledger to protect our own money?

It depends on how they are deploying it. For instance if they are deciding it to be a stable coin then the government will decide it's value and that will remain constant.
The price will never change just like how the value of USDT is one US dollar. If the government is launching it as a normal cryptocurrency then it might depend on the demand and supply of the coin to determine it's price.
3728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: “Bitcoin is the laughing stock of our firm” on: April 12, 2021, 04:08:15 PM
~snip

How high must Bitcoin’s price go before they accept it as a self-sovereign Store of Value, HODLed as a hedge in case the Fed/Central Bank, and the government loses control of the financial system?

Well I think it's not about the price but it's ability to be accepted as a payment method. People will keep talking on the speculation part for decades.
But when bitcoin is accepted widely as a payment method only then will such people realize that bitcoin is indeed the real deal.
The decentralized cryptocurrency can indeed be used for payments across the globe. It's just a matter of WHEN and until that such people will keep criticizing bitcoin.
3729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is private and decentralized, ok but what if someone dies? on: April 12, 2021, 04:02:28 PM
We have already discussed many times on how to inherit bitcoin and we had received very interesting methods of inheritance.

In what way you’ll inherit Bitcoin to your loved ones?

As for the bitcoins your brother had, he would be definitely having something on his phone or computer which should lead to his coins.
Just check out his phone and computer thoroughly and also check his mails and cloud storage and external storage.
Also, ask his friends if he had invested anything in crypto to be sure of the same.
3730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any recommended altcoins for this upcoming months? on: April 12, 2021, 03:51:22 PM
$30 is not such a huge amount so if I were at your place I would choose coins with low price such as Tron, DOT, Cardano etc...
These coins are potential and can yield good returns in short time. But it would be better to do a research on your own rather than asking people here.
You would get a better understanding on which coin to invest and why to invest in it.
If you invest in a particular coin in regular intervals then it will yield a bigger profit in the future.
Yeah mate, I'm already waiting for CARDANO to go up because based on my TA, it'll reach 2$ this April so I'm still hodling and waiting for its bull run.
Yes, I'm always researching what's the best and that's the reason why I've gained profit as I mentioned in OP. I'm just checking on some potential coins that I don't know and will do massive research on it.  Wink

That's good that you are researching on your own to find out the potential coins.
I would recommend you to check out Polkadot, Monero, Solana as these are some really good cryptocurrencies.
Cardano is already on your list. Bitcoin and Ethereum are the most potential ones and I am assuming you would have already invested in it.
3731  Local / India / Re: Would you sell BTC for real estate ? on: April 12, 2021, 03:01:16 PM
Thanks for the comments guys. I have made up my mind to sell some of my savings in BTC and proceed with the investment in real estate.
This would be my first investment in real estate and this would definitely be the best memory since I would be using my bitcoins to buy this property.
This does not mean I will quit BTC but will work harder now onwards to accumulate the amount of bitcoins I will be selling now.

Long Live Bitcoin !
3732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What skills do you need to have to find new Hidden altcoin gems? on: April 11, 2021, 04:33:02 PM
Let us understand what a hidden gem is. It can something that has a good project, moderate team and is undervalued.
To find such a coin we need a lot of research. We should find out the fundamentals of many coins and then decide which coin has a good project and is potential.
If it is undervalued then there are good chances that it might increase in price in the next few months or years.
But yeah, there's no assurity of anything in crypto. Even if you find a hidden gem may be there are chances that it will go undervalued for a long time.
Risk is what we have to take and luck is what will determine the profits for us.
3733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE ORDER OF ALT PUMPS?? on: April 11, 2021, 04:20:15 PM
If this was accurate and regular then everybody would be following this order and everybody would be making profits but it doesn't work this way does it.
The pumps are randomized and follows no particular order although I have noticed many times that bitcoin pumps first and then the altcoins are pumped when bitcoin is topped out.
But what happens after that can never be predicted. Sometimes bitcoin pumps again and sometimes the altcoins dump while sometimes both bitcoin and altcoin dumps.
Anyway, it's good to have a strategy and follow whichever works the best for us.

3735  Other / Off-topic / Re: Corruption and Sports on: April 11, 2021, 03:54:40 PM
In my country every government during the election campaign have the statement we'll abolish corruption on the sports in the manifesto. Is this is common or I'm seeing this on my country. In each and every game, during the selection process bribe is being given. This has made several able sportsmen discontinue their passion on sports and do some routine job for their living.

Same as this is the gambling, more key players are involved with match fixing even after getting huge sum of money after every match winning/losing. Why certain sportsmen have such greed towards money when people are starving to have a single meal on a day.

Corruption is something that will never end because of the greed that lies in almost every other human. Not only sportsmen but every other person has some kind of greed.
Some have the ability to control themselves for their moral duty while the other do not and end up being corrupted.
Even is the government try to end corruption it will take a long time for corruption to be demolished in a particular field.
Even then I believe that at least some portion of it will still be left and it will never end.
3736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BTC price VS gambling on: April 11, 2021, 03:42:43 PM
I love Litecoin but between all the other coins or tokens I prefer Tron every time I deposit to my favorite gambling site, I feel that it is not charging me because my transaction is not even reaching 1 cent, Tron is a must coin to include in every gambling site, it's very cheap and it's instant, you can play right away.

Tron is my favourite coin for gambling. One reason is as obvious as you mentioned that it charges too low on the transaction fee part.
Since it's price is less we tend to bet using high number which gives us a feeling that we are betting in huge amounts but the actual USD value is still low.
That's just how I look at it.
3737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You won today, but then you will lose often on: April 11, 2021, 03:39:19 PM
Hello to all! Another topic about casinos and games. I started playing at THIS CASINO quite often. At the very beginning I thought I would just play in the evening, but one evening turned into a constant game during the day. On the first deposit, I was lucky and I took out a little, it was x3 of my deposit and I was happy. Recently, I just started making stupid deposits and trying to win something and I understand that this is self-deception, but I cannot stop and make more and more deposits. I decided to make the 1st level of VIP, but for this I need to make a turnover of 10k dollars, but I am a player with low stakes and this is difficult for me to do. You seem to understand everything that you will lose, but you go to play again. How to get rid of gambling addiction?

[mod note: removed referral link]

There's where the greed kicks in. You won in the beginning and you hope that you will win again but you lose.
In gambling the chances of losing are more than winning and when you continuously lose you tend to lose all your balance on the website.
This is what happens with the most of us and the only thing to overcome this greed is self control.
You must have control on yourself and play according to the strategy and not through emotions.
You should stop playing when you start losing continuously and come back another day. There's pretty much nothing other than this.

I received a free spin email 21 hours ago and when I just now tried to use it, it said the free spin had expired...  Huh Huh

The free spin for the Wheel of fortune is valid for 48 hours. It's weird that you are saying it expired before 24 hours.
Either you would have received the mail more than 48 hours ago or you would have already claimed the free spin.
Otherwise I don't know why it is showing as already expired before 48 hours.
3739  Economy / Gambling / Re: BC.Game-🔴🔴🔴BET RED IN CRASH!🔴🔴🔴 Find More Unique Games! on: April 10, 2021, 04:13:52 PM
Was just looking into the medals when I noticed BC.GAME 3.0 has changed the rewards from ETH to BCD.
I don't know if that's good or bad but getting ETH as a reward for owning medals looked better to me.

In the previous version I got notification when I got rain while being online. I remember that and maybe even when you came back online.

Now I haven't got a rain yet while being online so don't know if you get it while being one at that moment.

That's true. Earlier I used to get rain but these days I am not getting any. May be because I am a little offline but otherwise I haven't received any notification for the rain.

Well with most of the FUN under their control, I do expect some of the changes that could happen is that under the fortune of wheel we may soon have Fun tokens to be up for winning. Also, in wining lottery we might have the fun tokens to be won rather than btc which is now. Though this change depends upon admin if they want to introduce something like this.

The wheel of fortune is a new thing so may be yeah, the FUN tokens can be used as the rewards in the WOF.
For the lottery, I don't think freebitco.in would be using FUN tokens since it is one of their major thing that contributes towards their site.
Using bitcoin for the free spin and lottery is the essence of freebitco.in and I personally don't feel they will be changing that any time soon.
