I believe for long term holders, anytime is a good time to buy but I think for a few more months before the peak it's still a good time to get in. I don't know though when the peak will be, or what the peak will be and that depends on how many are entering the market and how many are speculating on it only for a quick buck.
Bitcoin is always good for long term holders, but at a moment I feel it can be profitable even for those who wants to make profits in next 3 months. Looking at some charts now and I see that it is still growing. But in my opinion it is a bad week to buy coins. Although it is still increasing there is a possibility that it might go down. But for long term, Yeah sure. Just dont look when it goes down. I think it reached its peak this year? I am waiting for the inflation and i think now is the time to convert unless some of you has nothing to really use the money for. Bitcoin is now at $465 on Bitstamp and yea that's the peak so far this year but I think it can reach quite a bit higher. Yesterday the price was around $454, it's been climbing slowly for some time now. If I were you, I'd wait a bit and see how things evolve before converting any BTC to dollars. Unless of course you want to buy something with the money. I would have converted few coins at this price if I would need cash badly,but I think we need to wait for some more time as price is rising now, so we can expect better price in coming days. just need a little patience if you want to see higher prices. I myself honestly really want to sell my bitcoin today, because I think I have benefited from the current price. but I have to be patient, because the price looks will continue to rise. Yeah everyone needs money but we are holding hoping that we can see much better price in coming days, and we are quiet positive about it as price is rising now. Every people is in hard need of money. But one could make a better earning if he knows the right time to act smart. Only this could help in earning rather than working hard all the time. |

am very confident and believe bitcoin has a tremendous opportunity to become a medium of payment in the world. payment media is recognized by many countries. bitcoin must have a special device that is easy to use.
It is still young. Give it a chance and it might go soaring for a lot more use for different kinds of transaction. Plus there are not still a lot people who use it. We are still at low percentage of user with this currency. Bitcoin future is bright and it is running in good roads upto success and for this years past it gain more strength and orice continues rising daily and let see only left for that is acceptance to the online store hope to be seen in near future a that bitcoin is accepted on ebay or any online store out there and let see what might happen to it. And for this year comes well let see bitcoin can get trust to more people around the globe. Yeah. Although it really went down way back it is now gaining back its value this coming months. I just hope that it can stay at that price and never repeat history again. Yeah if bitcoin reaches to $1k and remains stable for a long time then I think we will find more new investors who will be willing to invest their money into it. $1k price is realistic and chances of getting that in the future is really bright. However we don't need to wait that price for more investors to come. As soon as it has established a good support at above $500 for really a long time, we can see some big changes. Yeah $1k is realistic if the halving gives a big price at the time of halving. The price might touch $1000, if the price before the days of halving touches or increases above $500. |

The halving can be nice but also bad, and the many people are also saying that the halving will be not that good for Bitcoin because it keeps stable for a long time.

The people that is already using Bitcoin have a high expectation of the currency and that is because they want the value high.
but you never know what will happen with the value and that is the problem.
Yeah expectations will be more while using bitcoin as all need a continuous price rise, I think by 2020 more people gets aware about bitcoin and join this forum, my suggestion is that it will be more popular than now. Its popularity will depend on what value it holds in the year 2020, if the value falls back then we will see decline in the users, but if the price is higher then majority of people would be using it. yeah, it depends on the value and strength of bitcoin, if the value is stable or going to rise then there will be more people at therewith bitcoin but if the rise will go to drop then one by one everyone will leave it. Bitcoin gets more strong by the year of 2020. The popularity will be high with more adoption, as mentioned in above quote people leaving bitcoin gets stopped when they understand bitcoin in the proper way. |

I expect increments of 50 usd each week until at least bitcoin doubles its price.  That's not normal I think, IMO, it will look like an artificial pump and could fall anytime.. but of course, if it is naturally happening because everyone is holding, then expect the price to stay high for a little long.. It has grown from a long time stable price. Now also its giving regular increase in price which seems to be a natural growth. So on halving sure bitcoin will goes peak. |

The bitcoin can rise most likely easily to such a amount with the halving incoming, most likely it will be a very good year for the bitcoin.

Yes but it is possible to achieve these levels could occur in the next year because I think the increase in bitcoin could not direct a lot and takes time. I hope bitcoin will continue to grow and we will gain a lot. The price is in continuous rise. Bitcoin price is close to $500 and halving is also gonna take place which at least gives a small increase in price. So we can expect $800 this year itself. |

This was made last october.. So I think OP is right, the price $350 was now a barrier, we've tested it last price drop on January, the price go near it but it never crossed that and even can't touch it and it goes back to $360+ and then back slowly to where it is right now..I hope this halving, the $400 would be the new barrier, but I don't think that it would happen easily..
The $400 level has been tested several times, and it is not breached. If the price is still above $400 in the next few weeks, $400 will be the long term bottom. The bitcoin price has been in consolidation status for some time. It will finish the consolidation and go up quickly. The price of bitcoin has risen steadily in the last few weeks. That is the result of the consolidation in the past. With the steady growth as mentioned the price is getting more closer to $500. So right now its time for making additional profit. |

The 10k is just not possible in my eyes, its just too much for the bitcoin like people already mentioned.
I consider 10k as way too much the max that the bitcoin is maybe gonna reach is around the 4k in my opinion.
4k is also not possible, especially with 10k. we must look at the price of bitcoin could touch 2k it would be a long time. When we were discussing about $10k, $4k has got more possibility. I believe might reach $4k after 3 or 4 bitcoin halving. |

It will go soon to the 500 dollar and I must say that is already a accomplishment again.
The price rise started the past week and now it has grown high and continuing to reach $500. As we are just $30-$40 away from bitcoin. Will reach within this month or by the start of may. |

There are a lot of people that have now profit with Bitcoin but I think that it not good enough for the most because they want to make more profit with Bitcoin and that is logic.
The only bad thing is that you never know what the value will be of Bitcoin and that is the problem.
I just sold my 2BTC stock when price hits $427 and now waiting for the next crash so I can buy some coins again. There are a lot of people that have profit now around this time but there are a lot of people that have patience to wait a longer time to get that high value and that would be nice. The bad thing only is that it can takes a long time until the value will be more and that can be bad. The price is still above $440. It seems the price has already broken the $430 resistance. But we will see. Our bitcoin has reached above $440. So everyone would experience a big profit compared to the days of the price around $385 and $400. The price is $450 now. It is a new milestone. If the price stay around this level to consolidate, it will be excellent. It has reached $460. Now everyone expecting for a price to touch $500 within this month or by the starting of may. |

This might help you buy more and more bitcoin rather than expecting a crash. The bitcoin crash will not come as long as there are not big pumps. The slow rise will be more beneficial to the bitcoin. If everyone thinks the same way, it would eventually affect the value of the bitcoin. For me, I'd wait for it to reach a certain price, then sell a few. There will be highs and lows in terms of price movement. Those are perfect opportunities to buy or sell some. It's all about managing your fear and greed.
When greediness becomes prioritized, if you fix a target as quoted you'll be profited. If not you may wait for further increase and sells your bitcoin for low prices as quoted in the above post. |

I shall keep most of my coins for the long term. The price will rise a lot in the future as it happened in the past.
Do not wait too long to reach it to the moon as no one knows when that day will come, keep on playing with it on regular intervals to earn good money in short term. yeah I think not too hold bitcoin if prices began to rise sharply I suggest to sell it because the opportunity does not come 2 times. so if prices go up I am definitely going to sell It is smart to indeed not sell any coin now around this time because the value is now quite low so it that will be indeed not smart to sell it. It would be better if you are waiting indeed a longer time until the price rise will come and after that you can maybe sell it with some profit. If you are selling now then you are making a bad financial decision as waiting for next few months would be a better idea, selling at halving will add more value to our profits. Ofcourse selling right now or by the falling days is not the right decision if you're into the bitcoin also to earn bitcoin. Selling after halving looks to be a good option for better profiting. |
