Second week of "new era"

So as predicted, the hype was only for a short time. Settles back to around 6000. Now I can start giving merit again, things are more settled.

There are newbies with more than 100 merit, don't be surprised. Just check the registration date of the account. Often those type of accounts have posted mainly in spam mega-threads and when they get deleted, the user's post count and activity are reduced / can be to even to 0/ but the merit are still there. I've seen a newbie with 500 merit, I don't remember where but definitely not a hacker. You can check them out yourself: I remember seeing one of them but now are two, or probably more That's quite of merit abuse.

Finally, works like a charm

Just to add a small note, if you post in the other language than English the test posts should be in the Local section. There was a case by mdayonliner a few days ago / I can't find that thread, probably got deleted/ regarding the posts in the Off-topic section and the local boards, so basically there is no better way to test it than the "preview" of the post. Off-topic is not preferable to use for such experiments.
I can confirm that sometimes in the preview the formatting is not the same as in the actual post, especially if you use a "space" to make a room between columns when not using the proper "table" formatting.
My best guess is the Archival section as there is almost no moderation, but I did't got any input when I suggested for such use last time.

Great, thank you for the info, how are the temperatures btw? Do I need an extra/bigger radiator to cool it, maybe fan too? When everything is done I'll probably will put it in a box and have it on the desk but I want to order everything together, that's why I'm asking if I'll need some more stuff.

How is going with your project? I'm considering order a RB Pi3B+ with a SATA module to hook up one HDD for a full node + LN. Never played with Raspberry before so it's gonna be a challenge. How are the temperatures btw. Have to find a good place and build a box with cooling. I really want to start rolling next month.

What why is that a problem?? You sell your signatures to earn BTC. People who don't have high levels in signature campaign earn altcoins by doing bounty tasks. Just because you have reached the top of the pyramid, you don't have to diss people who have not yet. And I know how hard it is to get merit. I have seen shit posts by high-level members getting merited like anything.
The hard truth is that the top members of this forum one day decide that yes we need merit system (the decision might be right for the forum's future) as a way to keep the newer entrants out of the high paying signatures. They knew that if they allow the same rules that existed before (your activity allowing you to level up) then many of them would climb up the ladder and signature supply would outstrip the demand. This would lead to very reduced payments for those members. It is very easy to preach when we have already reached the top.
If you spend a bit more time in the forum paying attention to small details you will understand. It's been said many times, people coming here solely for the campaigns and bounties care less /or actually don't really care at all/ about the whole idea behind the Bitcoin nor Blockchain. They are not coming here from curiosity, wanting to understand it. They are here only because the heard that try can make money easily. So guess what, 99% of the newcomers want to start making money as soon as possible, no matter what. They copy other people's posts, they copy info from internet pretending that they wrote it, they just post jiberish only to increase their postcounts and reach higher levels and more money and they do it often from more than one account. All those are here to earn. Do you think they gonna invest some of the money to run a full node for example?? No! Are you gonna do it?? I doubt it. I was a member when the merit came, now I have 500 over the initial airdrop I earned every single merit to be here. Sig. campaigns?? Yeah I'm now in one of the best you can find, and it's just an honour to be together with one of the top members of the forum. I hope I can make a change even a tiny one, to leave an imprint, to contribute to this amazing cryptocurrency world. I don't make a living out of it. It's more like a hobby and it's addictive, and again it's not only about the money. I have supported Bitcoin by buying some, helped some friends to start mining and investing, been mining myself back in 2013, settings up soon a Full node and a Lighting node. So tell me again what you gonna do here?? With 16 posts you already started complaining how you can't get merit and how unfair is this. Just a note, your first post is a bounty report, congratulations on being the most valuable newbie /s

Don't what to sound like most of the bots listed in this thread but Great Work man. Someone offered to make a Avatar too sometime ago. Anything which can draw attention to reporting is welcome Sounds interesting, I would wear that avatar for free. What does a man with some free time on his hands have to do to get approved for this thread? Say I took a number of accounts for review, is there a timeline? I wouldn't want to get kicked out for slacking. No man, no restrictions here, the whole idea was to avoid the multiple reporting of the posts. Mostly to be accepted in the club what you need is just access to your report history, in other words 300 good reports, sometimes if im not familiar with your posting I make a quick look through you history to be shure you are not participating in some of those projects we report. Regarding the avatar, if I have enough time I may do something just for the fun

Sometimes you don't even need to see the post history, if you click on the profile and if there is a link to the bountyplatform everything is clear..

So are we "Self Made Hero-to-be-on-time" then? I need 5 more months to reach the activity for Hero, and if all goes with the same tempo as til now, looks like till then I'll be having enough merit for Legendary which in terms of activity will be in 2 years, somewhere in 2020.. o_0

Wonder why,as Monero is in the top 10 coins based on Market Capitalization, it's more than logical to be supported but... Anyway I can't wait to put my hands on the Trezor. It's exiting

Copy paster > Copy-paster I expect good luck for the idea. A rather interesting logo, apperceptive plan, very good plan!

How long it will take this "Sorry, we're down for maintenance."
As Baryom said before, maybe today we will get good news. Let's hope the good news is that the maintenance process will end and bitsler will resume operating as usual. Sorry, I had to read a bit before posting but though that is just a regular maintenance, as I'm entering the site almost once a week. Now I see that the problem is a bit bigger. Hope to see a solution anytime soon.

I just ordered mine two days ago. [...] Ledger Nano S is in total 100 EUR now, so Trezor One is cheaper option in this moment - but Ledger still have great advantage in number of supported coins, at least for now.
Have you checked the list of supported coins lately? Satoshilabs hasn't been sleeping! While the Trezor One still supports a handful less coins than the Ledger Nano S the difference isn't as large as it used to be: https://trezor.io/coins/Wonder if Monero will be supported on the model One. Seems like they are working on it, of course if this is not a private project, link > https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@dnaleor/trezoro-trezor-for-monero-the-basics

Theymos has a lot of trust issues lately so adding new DTs is probably not gonna happen.
I personally don't trust anyone on the forum + I never met anyone from here IRL. I'm willing to risk small amounts with people I have interact before and I know they won't ruin their reputation for a small amounts, but you have to know, many trusted members turned to be " on the dark side" MagicalTux for example, he was even a Core Developer /if I remember correctly/ everyone knows what happened. TF was a DT1 member, he had quite good reputation but it turned out that he scammed a lot of people/ lately he is trying to recover with all the reimbursement thing /
So trust is a big issue when money /big money/ are involved. Puting someone in DT with all those fightings in between the old members it's not an easy task. Seems like almost everyone have a dark side here, it's just a matter of time to be reviled.
