Is it possible to reverse a given merit sent mistakenly to a different post?

It is not possible. Mistakes and bugs during giving merits are very often. Manny topics about that was created:

F.e. multi spent mistake:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5053799

And whole list from LoyceV
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3078328.msg31738645#msg31738645

In general too, it would be cool if there was a feature to reverse a merit within 10 mins of sending it.

Put it at the end of the long queue Smiley

3742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your gambling system? on: August 31, 2019, 08:57:05 AM
cryptovigi found better strategy than regular martingale. It's in link in OP:

Its simple martingale with tripling instead of doubling after every loss.

||1||Martingale v2||xxx||xxx||triple bet after loss||

I've tested in on different data than so I've found old program and run it on new data. Here are results:

Code:
Limit:
1000000
target:
2000000
How manny tests
100000
Casino lost with 43380 gamblers out of 100000
Average winner spent: 280 hours in casino

Code:
Limit:
500
target:
1000
How manny tests
100000
Casino lost with 43565 gamblers out of 100000
Average winner spent: 2 hours in casino

So to find "best strategy" you have be beat those numbers Smiley

I'll code your strategy in free time.

3743  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Roger Ver's Bitcoin Games - possible scam 2 on: August 30, 2019, 08:33:48 AM
It's too soon to call them scammers. You can call them "unprofessional service" since they are working with your issue for 3 days but not scammers yet.
Scammers are taking users funds and are working to resolve the problem for one year. Then they are locking accounts of users that starts to complain.

Hope you will get your funds back. For now on everything looks ok. They admitted that they have "some backend issues" and are working on it.

Bcash altcoin. That's correct name! Nice that more and more people are using it Smiley

BTW Did you guys know that he was an Advisor of Azbit - shitcoin that was struggling to reach sofltcap (9 000 000$) for around a year (ICO, extended ICO, extended ICO, IEO, another round of ICO, next IEO)? That's how insignificant his name is for investors.

I wonder if he's actually paranoid enough to believe that I'm secretly editing this kind of ancient history for some arcane reason (while also sending out notifications about it),

I think he is  Grin

I think he exactly knows that it is a lie but he is so desperate for attention that he don't care. He knows that 90% people are too lazy to check if it's true. That 90% is enough for him.

3745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your gambling system? on: August 30, 2019, 06:21:11 AM
- All in after five or six consecutive losses
- Standard martingale after five or six consecutive losses, with 10% of your total balance
This is one strategy or 2?

I don't quite understand how it work. Could you explain it a little more clearly?
3746  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Extension - All In One - Available on Chrome store - Version 2.4 on: August 29, 2019, 02:21:11 PM
I can do it as you describe it, however, it doesn't fit my extension.
I can create it on a website, just enter userId and the result will be displayed.
That's even better because it might be used by campaign managers too. There should be User ID and counting start date because different campaigns starts new week on different day.
3747  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Extension - All In One - Available on Chrome store - Version 2.4 on: August 29, 2019, 01:32:03 PM
Great work!

What you think about adding a tool to count posts written in various threads? Most of us are hired to advertise websites by our signature. Those are giving us various requirements like:

min 10 post in gambling
max 30 post
min 20 posts
post in boards xxx, yyy, zzz do not count.
Etc.

Because of that i need to count my posts in various sections every few days to check if i fill those requirements while doing my everyday routine (answering questions in recent created topics, answering posts from watchlist etc.) or I miss one of requirements and i need to create 1 additional post in certain thread. After 1.5 year on BTT forum this post counting become pain in the ass for me.

This counter could look like that:

Code:
This week counter:
meta: 5 posts
gambling: 10 posts
local: 15 posts
xxx: xxx posts
time until reset xxx hours

Let me know what you think about it Smiley

Legendary   Random in the range 775-1030 - 285+ dni jeśli jestem wśród szczęściarzy, którym wylosowało activity tuż przy dolnym progu.
3749  Local / Polski / Re: Binance - wstrzymany handel on: August 29, 2019, 10:58:41 AM

Binance - największa giełda kryptowalutowa z platformą do handlu z dźwignią oferuje możliwość pożyczania tokenów o zwrocie 7-15% w skali roku.
Bitconnect - piramida finansowa o zwrocie 1% dziennie - 3700% w skali roku

Widząc 15% w 2 tyg porównują to do bitconnect.

Co to znaczy stałe oprocentowanie? to pierwszy etap trwający 2 tyg. Przy kolejnym oprocentowanie może się zmienić.  Nawet sami to napisali, że podane stawki dotyczą pierwszego etapu. Czego ci "znawcy" oczekiwali?

"In the first phase of the Lending launch, 14-day fixed term BNB, USDT and ETC lending products will be made available, with further details below:
Annualized Interest Rates: BNB (15%), USDT (10%), ETC (7%)."

No ... biance nie próżnuje. W pół roku istnienia stali się największą giełdą kryptowalut. Teraz jeszcze pożyczki, lauchpady, utility token ewoulował w coin o możliwościach etherum i regularnie odbija ETH kolejne projekty (FTM, PHX, RVN, MITH, GTEX, CAN, ANKR, ARN, BOLT, GTO, BCPT - lista z końcówki maja), fundacja charytatywna.

Oznacza to, że dołączyłem do wąskiego grona self-made hero members Smiley.

Obsługuje 5 motywów - 3 dark, 1 light i 1 green.

There is no need of quoting my whole post. Just add @Tytanowy Janusz or quote a sentence you are referring too so the whole topic won't look like rubbish. You have 24 h to correct your post otherwise i'll delete it to keep whole topic clean for people willing to read it.

Thanks again! Seems like going all in in single bet seems best way to go lol, either double or go home.
In roulette there is ~970 $ return out of every 1000$ bet on average (with statistic distribution) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5111520.msg49808336#msg49808336. No matter how will you place it. If you will place it in one bet than your average return will be 970$ (3%*1000$ * 1 bet = 30$ for casino). If you will place 100$ 100 times (win, loss, win, loss, loss, win etc) than your average return will be 700$ (3% * 100$ *100 bets = 300$ for casino). The best strategy than is to limits your betting volume to minimum (by placing all your money in single bet). That's makes your outcome maximum far from statistic distribution what gives you the biggest chance to win.
3753  Other / Meta / Re: Signature spam threads. Should there be any punishment? on: August 28, 2019, 05:39:53 PM
In fact, you can get perma ban for low-efford spam posts. I can't an find example at this moment but I saw it multiple times. Mostly newbies. Temporary bans are more common for higher rank members in this situation as penalty for breaking first bitcointalk rule:

Forum rules

1. No zero or low value, pointless or uninteresting posts or threads. [1][e]

Merit system was invented to improve post quality. You will not earn even a penny with signature campaigns if you won't rank up at least to member which is impossible without 10 merits. So issue you are talking about is BTT members registered before 01.2018. Sooner or later no one will hire spammers that ranked up before merit system was implemented and didn't earn even a single merit since then because there are many unemployed quality posters with 50 merits+ earned in last 120 day. Spammers will be hired only by scam ICO that won't pay. So cheaters will work with cheaters.

If that's a big issue for you can use BTT scripts and hide them:

3754  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your gambling system? on: August 28, 2019, 01:17:44 PM

Start with 75% win chance, on lose double the next bet, make winning bet twice, decrease next bet after second winning bet by half.

Again. Better outcome but still worse than regular martingale or betting all your money in single bet:

I've input the same data as before. Portfolio (limit) equal to 500 times initial bet as starting point.
Code:
Limit:
500
target:
1000
How manny tests
100000
Casino lost with 27633 gamblers out of 100000
Average winner spent: 21 hours in casino (1 bet per minute,)

Only 27,6% of gamblers was able to double from 500$. 21h spent in casino for average winner. 500 $ / 21h = 23,8$/h with 72.4 % probability of fail and loosing 1000$.

Code:
Limit:
500
target:
550
How manny tests
10000
Casino lost with 8260 gamblers out of 10000
Average winner spent: 2 hours in casino (1 bet per minute)

Only 82,6% gamblers was able to earn 10% of portfolio (slightly better than last time -72,9 % ):

Code:
Limit:
10000
target:
11000
How manny tests
10000
Casino lost with 8049 gamblers out of 10000
Average winner spent: 25 hours in casino (1 bet per minute)

80,5% of gamblers was able to beat casino and earn 10% of portfolio (that's much better than last time - 7.4%). This strategy seems to be much more portfolio size resistant - that's because its much more aggressive.

@yahoo62278

Hello. I would like to inform you that I've just become a self-made hero member. Update my rank as soon as free hero spot will be available please (i don't know if that's a correct procedure while ranking up, correct me if i made "faux pas").

500 merits earned in 15 months Smiley That was a great journey Smiley
3756  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 28, 2019, 10:50:13 AM
[..]
There is an insane huge buy order on the bitmex.

121.369.999 buy order
it was first at 10.120 usd and removed to the higher price 10.130 usd.

In most cases that's whale manipulation to create extra demand. No one willing to buy 120 mln $ of bitcoin would try to do it in single order.

I remember similar situation on AGI

650 btc wall was worth more than all tokens available to trade on binance. This walls pumped price +20% (they were puling up by few % each couple of minutes). They disappeared and market crashed -15% in 5 min. -50% currently.

~SNIP~

Both you and OP deserve the rank up, good luck on the journey boys - you both got a 50 off me!

I couldn't believe my eyes. Thank you very much! That is a kick in ass for me to contribute for bitcointalk community even harder.

Undoubtedly its going to be a memorable gift for them which they got on the eve of their Sr. membership achievement.

indeed.

@OP
You intended to do a list of your posts. In fact you created a list of very usefull posts that everyone should read.
3758  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Roadway from zero to hero on: August 28, 2019, 08:18:40 AM
Wish you luck with your trip to hero. I think that you will become one of those guys that are waiting for activity to rank up since you have only 195 merits to earn in 102 days = 1,9 merits/day - that should be easy with your 289 merits/ 120 days = 2.4 merits/day - you must be damn good quality poster Smiley

I remember when i become self-made senior member in April 19, 2019. In a blink of an eye i'm close to hero. Wish you the same.
3759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your gambling system? on: August 28, 2019, 07:55:57 AM
Yes that's right. Reset bet amount after winning twice in a raw.

Edit: what results did your simulations yield?

Just coded it - I was quite busy last days. Outcome is much better but still worse than betting all your money in single bet. Here are results:

I've input the same data as before. Portfolio (limit) equal to 500 times initial bet as starting point.
Code:
Limit:
500
target:
1000
How manny tests
100000
Casino lost with 6049 gamblers out of 100000
Average winner spent: 172 hours in casino (1 bet per minute)

Only 6,0% of gamblers was able to double from 500$. Much better than 0 last time. I've added time that average winner spent in casino. 172 h for 500 $ = 2,9$/h is not what you want to get from gambling. Especially with 94% probability of fail.

Code:
Limit:
500
target:
550
How manny tests
10000
Casino lost with 7294 gamblers out of 10000
Average winner spent: 15 hours in casino (1 bet per minute)

Only 72,9 % gamblers was able to earn 10% of portfolio. It should be close to 90%. How about bigger portfolios:

Code:
Limit:
10000
target:
11000
How manny tests
10000
Casino lost with 738 gamblers out of 10000
Average winner spent: 766 hours in casino (1 bet per minute)

7,4% of gamblers was able to beat casino and earn 10% of portfolio. Much better than 0 last time but still not close to oryginal martingale or single bet strategy. Again - bigger portfolio makes it worse. 766 hours in casino to earn 1000$. 1,3$/h with 92% probability of fail and loosing 10000$ (every gambler who do not beat casino zero his porfolio).

Code:
Limit:
100
target:
110
How manny tests
10000
Casino lost with 8092 gamblers out of 10000
Average winner spent: 2 hours in casino (1 bet per minute)

81% gamblers was able to win 10%. It should be 90%. Looks like the less money you bring to the casino the bigger are your odds to win certain % of your portfolio.
