3741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Announcement- Bitcoin Eco: An environmentally sustainable Bitcoin on: June 13, 2021, 11:09:34 AM
The Core team is forbidden from evolving BTC in the first round leading up to core launch.

Isn't that convenient!

You will see much larger quantities of BTC evolution after the first round of evolution's. It will not be uncommon for the Bitcoin Eco Core team purchase BTC with fiat and evolve said BTC to BTCECO.

This is called market manipulation. If you plan to do this, it's better to do it now while the bitcoin-eco has no market value. However, I highly doubt you would do something so stupid.

Our reasoning is to allow as many early adopters the first chances at first rewards at core launch on the 14th.

But why?

The first evolution of Bitcoin to Bitcoin Eco was a NONE core team user. If this user holds the most weight with $38 of BTCECO on core launch then this person will get the most rewards.

How is that? According to you, the "evolution" will be in relation to 1:1. Will you be offering rewards in different proportions?

Don't worry we will be putting our Bitcoin/fiat where our mouth is

I'm not worried about it. I KNOW it will never happen, so prove me wrong.  Cheesy

This is the reason I did not trust cryptocurrency.

What a funny thing to hear from a low-level bounty hunter.  Cheesy
What is the point in hunting every possible shitcoin you come across if you do not trust cryptocurrencies?
3743  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to start writing an academic essay? on: June 13, 2021, 10:35:46 AM
Back in high school, I always enjoyed writing essays. I wrote about anything and everything that came to mind. There was always something about putting pen to paper that truly put me at ease.
I had been planning on writing a novel for a while, but with life getting in the way I put my writing on the backburner. Life always seems to get in the way of my writing.

The essay writing, as I am sure you are aware, has lost some of its shine in this digital age.

Have you ever used the dark web and for what purposes? I even found several such forums, but I could not open them. It feels like the browser just doesn't support them.
Is that what Using Web when the light is off? that's why its called Dark Web?  Wink

Nooo, I think dark web is when you switch to dark theme mode when viewing websites. This is a new trend in web development.
There are those who even believe that the dark web should be called eco-friendly because of its low electricity consumption.

you both made me laugh lol  Grin Grin Grin

at least both of you is declaring the specific meaning of being Dark Web   Grin

Yeah. Unfortunately, some people don't understand sarcasm.  Cheesy
3745  Other / Off-topic / Re: People of btctalk, what kind of pet do you have at home? on: June 10, 2021, 04:02:16 PM
A goat 🐐.

as pet?

is it true?

well , i have seen someone with pet pig so its possible ti have goat as pet.

The goats are supposed to be very effective as lawn mowers. I'm considering getting a few goats to mow my lawn.
Much cheaper than a robotic lawnmower.  Cool

Guess "feeding" on the lawn is what you mean by "mow" in the goat case.

It's actually good to get the animals busy solving problems that benefit others rather than just let them eat, get fat and pampered like children. We all have roles we need to serve that benefit not just ourselves but others, and the world. I don't think it's a good to assign all the roles to machines/robots.

Anyway, I wonder if goats can "mow" the grass as good as the lawn mower, and there is a possibility of overgrazing or ruinning of the lawn by the goats. I guess you'll need to move them from the lawn when the grass needs help or has been eaten down enough.
The lawn benefits from the goats "droppings".

This can be tried in rural areas and not really city or town. I will probably allow residents to use gentle, colorful and less noisy animal if I were a city/town administrator

I read an article about it recently, but I can't find it now. Here's a brief summary:
Mowing the Lawn with Goats and Other Animals

Quote
Goats are great for this job. There are actually several small businesses in California that offer “goat mowing services” to manage fire hazard areas to control weeds and grasses. Companies like Google periodically bring in 200 goats to roam around for a week, eat the grass and fertilize it at the same time.

3746  Other / Off-topic / Re: Now tell me if you still believe on Elon Musk. on: June 10, 2021, 03:46:16 PM
I only believe him if his tweets are bullish.
Then tell us now if you believe it will happen again?

bullish tweet from this person?

then you already says you will never believe this one   Grin

I don't understand people, what's there to believe? He is just a man (if you can call him that) and not the savior of the world. There is no reason to believe in him.
Whether he is bullish or bearish, he does it for his own benefit. So, no matter what he tweets, we should do the exact opposite.

It is very easy to understand and has been repeated many times on this thread. It was literally explained one post above yours

Perhaps best explained by a concrete example. Can you show us the transaction where you evolved your own Bitcoins? How much Bitcoin have you so far sent to the burn address?

Wow tell us what U really think. R U a bot? Or is your programmer just lacking in computational ability?

What if I am a bot? Are you xenophobic toward bots?
Please leave my programmer out of this. I did not disrespect your creator.
3750  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should I start betting on sports? on: June 09, 2021, 01:34:04 PM
And it is very difficult for me to say something about this. But I know that sports betting is popular in the spinoff arena. This is true? Or is there something I don't know? I have a desire to bet on sports, but I don't know where to start.

Sorry, what? Can you explain what you mean by you don't know where to start?
Find the bookmakers that are available to you and select the sport you wish to bet on. For example, if you wish to bet on Premier League football you will see betting odds for every side available. You can then take your pick and place your bet on the outcome of that particular game.

Back in the days , I almost give full respect with this man specially when the Tesla finally accepts bitcoin .
But what he does recently took this respect for him and brings me to hate the man more than i hate John McAfee .

There isn't much difference between the two. Both work solely for their personal gain.
Both seem to go completely rogue once they have what they want. And both are relentless in their pursuit of the upper echelon of power.

3754  Other / Off-topic / Re: IMPORTANCE OF VACATION on: June 09, 2021, 12:54:49 PM
Vacation also allows us to be by ourselves for a while and do something for ourselves, which is usually what helps us realize what our true priorities are in life, and what they aren't.

It gives us time to rest and recharge our batteries, to think about things that we are thankful for, and to spend quality time together with our family.
It gives us time to think and reflect on the events of the past and prepare for the changes that are taking place in our lives in the future.

As every type of vacation has it's positives and negatives, it is essential to have the discussion with your family and loved ones as to what they prefer to do on vacation. What activities and accommodations are most important to you and your family? Are you more of a party animal, adventure junkie or creative and want a smaller dose of the fun with something slower or more serene? The options may be endless.
3755  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin (crypto) worth anything at all?? on: June 09, 2021, 12:28:40 PM
But If everyone in the world had just 1 'meme' coin at $0.01, and then one tech celebrity/business person sends 1 tweet about ‘WOW SUCH AMAZING CURRENCY’. That $0.01 suddenly increases by 10 (or 100, or 1000) times its worth, people literally become millionaires without any fundraising at all ..just a TWEET.

So countries can’t print more money that solves nothing.... but somehow one person can make hundreds of people rich simply by a tweet?? I don't get it..like I said a strange, strange world indeed.

I think you're wrong about that.

A simple tweet doesn't give value to some meme coin, at least not directly.
There is a saying I read somewhere: "If people value something, it has value." Therefore, it makes no difference what someone tweets, what matters is whether anyone wants to buy (exchange for a generally recognized medium of exchange) the said meme coin.

It just dont smell like success.

So then, I just don't see any point in your spending any more time on this forum.
You don't see bitcoin's success? Fine. Then why are you so fascinated by it?
3757  Other / Off-topic / Re: Dear Elon Musk. on: June 06, 2021, 08:47:03 AM
From the guy who wants to start a stupid project comes a stupid request...

You don't know how to create a 100% certifiable burn address but you want to create a new, "better" Bitcoin? Oh, God help us all!
3758  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anoymous message to Elon Musk on: June 06, 2021, 08:17:27 AM
~
But is there a need for this? Why should there be a kind of a cyber war?

If Elon is not pro-Bitcoin and is criticizing Bitcoin, should Bitcoin fans attack Elon on a personal level? If Elon is dumping his Bitcoin on the market, should Bitcoin owners attack Tesla and his other companies?

This intolerance against criticism kind of sucks. The Bitcoin market is a free market.
You are missing the point. Many people and groups perceive Elon as a market manipulator and he doesn't seem to care about the effects. All these tweets are believed to be a way to enrich himself/company and/or pals.

There's no problem if he trades his bags without all the noise he creates on social media. The attacks/criticisms he receives is almost the same with how youtube shills are being treated.

That's right.
There are many celebrities who are not pro-bitcoin, but Musk is not one of them. He is a manipulator and abuser who only cares about his own profits.
3759  Other / Off-topic / Re: Anoymous message to Elon Musk on: June 05, 2021, 08:43:36 PM
The message sent to Musk is good, but how can we be sure that it came from the real Anonymous?
Is there a way to confirm this?
3760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Exceptionalism: Why Should this Pyramid-Ponzi Not end Like all Others?? on: June 05, 2021, 10:43:48 AM
Please don't mix the word investment & bitcoin, btc is gambling, during the COVID bull-run int-rates near zero lots of people moved into btc because it only went up, now it only goes down, so game is over until the next 4 year cycle bubble, if the shit-coin lasts that long ( I think not )

That's great! I'm glad you explained that to us.

Now, it's time to sell all your stakes (if you had any at all) and get the fuck out of here.  What is it you're looking for in the bitcointalk community, anyway?
