3741  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is the Coinbase wallet safe? on: August 07, 2022, 08:22:25 AM
Coinbase Wallet is a non-custodial wallet.

That's mean you have fully control of your wallet (Address), If you have a backup private key or other think of your wallet and in some case "Coinbase" can't be access. You can easily to imported your address to other wallet.
Coinbase wallet is noncustodial but still not recommended because they are encouraging what people should not do like seed phrase online backup and they are kind of what that will later make privacy to be things of the past as everyone using the wallet will not later have privacy.

Though I am not saying you should not use it but you have to be conscious about these:

3742  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Safest Exchanges in the World on: August 07, 2022, 08:10:19 AM
That's good news if they are now allowed to withdraw and deposit Bitcoin in Paypal.
Paypal is founded in the year 2000 they serve customers for many years and it is proven trusted and it's a highly secure financial service.
Yes, it's centralized and regulated I just recommend the safest one and there is no 100% safest option hardware can be still hacked physically but it is less exposed to any online attacks.
PayPal still have the complete control because they are centralized and they are very strict with customers. People depending on them do not know the reason that led to the creation of bitcoin which is for people to have the complete control over their own money. But people are using exchanges, custodial wallet and custodial organisations like PayPal to store their coins. But there is nothing better than going for noncustodial wallet.

Last I heard, withdrawals are only in the US and it could still be in the middle of rolling out to some users. Better to double check if the account indeed supports it unless you don't mind waiting for who knows when.
Even If withdrawal is beyond US, I can never make use of PayPal than using it for fiat, not crypto.

Historically, all the top exchanges including Binance have experienced hacks in the past. It may not be the case for small exchanges because they aren't attractive targets for hackers, but that doesn't mean they don't have other problems with customers. In conclusion, there is no answer to your question.

Certainly a difficult choice for active traders. So, it's best to trade the amount you are willing to lose due to the safety of the exchange.
You are correct, but not all top exchanges have been hacked though, but any exchange can be hacked at anytime.
3743  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: What Drives Hackers?, Is it Money, Power Or Fun. on: August 07, 2022, 07:57:46 AM
The above arose my curiosity to want to know what actually drive this hackers, and what do they do with all this money they get grok Hacking?
Do they hack for the money? - - why then did this ones return the proceeds from their hack for a mere 10 percent bounty?.
Do they do it for Power, as a showoff, to make name for themselves? - - why then do hackers hide their identity if what they do for power and fame?.
Do they do it just for Fun? - - what is fun in destroying a project some persons spent several years of labor and huge resources to build? And also in the process, stealing away people's hard earned money.
That is what they know doing, they hack, know a lot about it and they make money from it. In the example you pointed to above, they were promismsed certain percentage but which is a huge amount of money, the hackers saw the offer good but they will still be very careful. With the thinking that the project developers promised not to have a legal action against them and they still have some amount of money not sent back. Once they know that after renting and buying some tools for the hack, that they will still make high profit, they may consider the offer good. I have even read one in the past that the hackers return almost all the money but took just little.
3744  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do I need a VPN to short trade in the UK ? UK FCA crypto confusion on: August 07, 2022, 07:42:50 AM
For a person who's used to trading futures, I find margin trading pretty boring on top of having small leverage (Most assets offer only 3x) and sometimes when the market is volatile you won't be able to borrow

I think thats why he's look for other derivatives options
Never mind Binance that offers 3x for cross margin trades, but it offers 10x for isolated margin trades. On OKX that I just check their margin trading right now, it offers 10x for both cross and isolated margin trades. 10x is even getting higher and liquidation risks is higher. Trading is fun with low leverage, I have even gone from 3x BTC/USDT pair to 1x or 2x which have been helping me to make profit unlike before that I panic close position or my asset got liquidated easily.

He is not looking for derivatives. He is experienced in spot trading and now he is looking for a way to open short position and don't know how because derivatives are banned in UK. Margin trading looks perfect for him because he is inexperienced in leverage and trading in both directions (he created thread to find a way to short). Binanace allow 10x leverage in margin trading and its more than enough.

I know that derivatives trading is more exciting, faster, more convenient but i if you are not a scalper its much better to go for legal margin trading rather than doing KYC with fake documents, using VPN to fake location and risking having fund locked due to TOS violation.
I was using Binance to practice margin trading like a year or 2 years ago, so complicated for me and I used future derivatives which is much simpler. Surprisingly, I did not know I can use margin to also short and long position until I saw your post today, I went to OKX BTC/USTD margin pair and I was able to short or long and not different in layout with their future trading. If mckenzie126 can be able to use margin trading for it, It would be a good alternative, but I will advice him not to go more than 1x leverage which he has been doing with spot trading.

If west ham can show its best perfomance and there would always be a chance for westham to defeat city at anycost as long as whole of players are going all in. The small club can always give us any surprise in any match.
I hope that west ham can perform best and at least make city to draw even if that was impossible to happen but the possibility will always there.
This is just the beginning of a new season with each club just playing their first match, many people would went for Liverpool yesterday and have the confidence that Liverpool would win Fulham, but it wasn't like that, though clubs like Tottenham and Chelsea played good and won. We can see disappointment too at anytime in competitive matches. I have noticed West Ham for one thing in the past, they can defeat any club in EPL, but Manchester City have also been known to start new season with excellent result, this is a kind of matches I prefer going for over 2.5, but Manchester City still have higher chnace to win though.

Not your key not your coin, avoid your coins to be seized. Don't you know that a site you are visiting will know if you are using a VPN or not? They can also later know that you are from a country that do not allow derivatives trading and exchanges are complying to regulatory policies and your fund might be seized.

Would that not be useful making people aware of this bot's existence in News bar or through welcome message so everyone comes to know about it naturally?
They are third parties. Nothing even like bitcointalk notifying new users, like through the forum email notification. People that are passionately posting or actively posting on this forum will know about them, not knowing about it is like they do not need it.

Is my post getting spammed with signature posters?
Do not expect people will just be interested without questioning and some people might against you, that is how a place like forum works, but if is your site and service are not meant to be a scam, it is a good one.

But your site is just a day old and some people do not prefer new sites but I do not know how this can result to scam except you are directing users to a fake website using a fake link to the gambling sites they want to register, which is what users need to be careful about.

Your first site listed is stake.bet, but the original one is https://stake.com. Can you explain why it is so?
3749  Economy / Services / Re: Bonus earning 500 eur to 1000 eur on: August 05, 2022, 09:19:24 PM
This poster is probably a scammer

I would avoid him like the pest he is. There is absolutely no explaination on how he will bring you an earning of 500-1000 Eur every day and I believe he is withholding details because there is no strategy. Its just a scam or a ponzi scheme. The very fact he demands 2000 Euro is already a huge warning sign as well as wanting to discuss matters further on Telegram.

This topic has nothing to do with gambling and should be locked for the good of everyone.
Not probably, but definitely:

This poster is definitely a scammer

If it is true, it belongs to gambling board, but it is just a scam. But moderator will likely leave it on gambling board as it will educate gamblers not to fall for this type of scam.

At last, Arsenal will finally win this match, having 2 goals now, own goal by Marc Guehi. It is 90 minutes already, the match will soon finish.
3751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: August 05, 2022, 08:39:32 PM
Bayern Munich is trying to tell us that we should not expect any competition in Bundesliga this season. It is not an impressive result.  6 goals to 1 in the first game. It looks like the Bayern boys are so much prepared as everybody is scoring goals for the club. There is no Haaland, who will fight for other Bundesliga clubs?
It was 5 goals to 1 in first half, Jamal Musiala scored the 6th goal for Bayern at 83rd minutes. But what you are saying is right, I do not think any club can be able to stand Bayern, but we all know that Bundesliga is just a league with no competition with Bayern, unlike leagues like EPL.
3752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: August 05, 2022, 07:41:56 PM
It is an important match of course but the best one used to be Bayern vs Frankfurt in Bundesliga until you found out that they are trashing Frankfurt with 5 goals in the first half.
The main likely match of the day is Frankfurt vs Bayern, very clear that Bayern would win, but the odd to Crystal Palace vs Arsenal is very low, but it is a sure match to watch and bet on, especially going for a first-half win for Bayern which has a better odd.

For Arsenal, they are leading with 1 goal after 30 minutes of the game with Crystal Palace still not fully awake. They should profit from that and score at least another goal.
According to what I saw here, Gabriel Martinelli scored for Arsenal in the 20th minute, but the chance to have a high goal range can not be compared to Bayern though.

Arsenal is not only dominating the match, Arsenal also is having higher chance to score, if this does not change in the second half, Arsenal is more likely to win the match.
3753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Running household expenses with gambling on: August 05, 2022, 07:28:17 PM
Some people believe they are professional in gambling, maybe at that moment they are always winning and they will think they can run house expenses with gambling money instead of stressing their self to get a job...
I had once thought like that, but I lost a lot of money. I finally had to stop when I become addicted as I know it is not helping me. Gambling is fun if we do it and not take it as a way of making money, but I realized that after I quit gambling for over a year and after I gamble with just a little amount I know that I can lose.

IMO, it is possible but you cannot rely on it.
Let us make this clear, it is not possible, it will create a bad mindset that may ruin the person.
3754  Other / Off-topic / Re: Telegram scam attempt on: August 04, 2022, 09:11:02 PM
This is not related to gambling, you can move it to scam accusation.

I am surprised that no snapshots of the telegram conversation between you and the scammer to make your post more truthful.

That is telegram. I remember a time on telegram that a scammer messaged me, asking me if I know about meta trader or something. He told me he can help out and I will start making money in just 24 hours. I knew he was a scammer. Avoid such people.
3755  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino Games or Gambling Considered Sports, really! on: August 04, 2022, 05:38:37 PM
I think some games like Billiards should be considered sports, but I do not see any reason that games like Blackjack should be considered sports, no energy is required in such competition. Although if tournaments like the Olympics want to include some casinos as sports games, there would be more people in the competition, this will redefine what sports are actually about. In my opinion, games like the Blackjack category should not be considered sports games.
3756  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: demo account for futures on: August 04, 2022, 01:03:19 PM
No demo account like it is in forex, not common in crypto. I have seen demo account on OKX, you can try it, but I am not sure it is for future trading and also possible to have different layout.

My advice is that you can use small amount of money for future trading, I remember I used less than $1 to open long and short positions on Binance several times before I started real trading, though it depends on the leverage used, if using lower leverage, the amount of money needed to open a position will increase, but I think $10 is enough for 1x leverage.
3757  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Running household expenses with gambling on: August 04, 2022, 09:43:33 AM
Running household expenses with gambling? That should be considered foolish. Gambling should not be taken as a means of earning money, you have to depend on job or personal work. When things are not in order, the family may later be in finance problem and likely the the marriage can break up after not being a good father.

To be a good spouse and father, get yourself a job or have something that is not risky that you are doing, gambling should just be taken for fun and entertainment.
3758  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1xbit dispute on: August 04, 2022, 07:01:36 AM

1xbit don't pay!!!!!
How did did you know about 1xbit? Because the 1xbit official threads and its campaign participants are all tagged on this forum.

Contact their support first and state your case. Provide all necessary evidences. If they still don't pay even if you are violating no rule whatsoever, open a scam accusation. Not that this will help you in any way because the casino you are talking about has already piles and piles of accusations, many of which unanswered, but this will at least add more proof that this casino is indeed not worth playing in. This will serve as another warning to others.

If you want to gamble, do it in trusted sites. With the likes of 1xbit, you're like double gambling. You're gambling in their games and gambling with the platform itself. You will not only be losing money in their games, you'd also probably be losing what you've won.
That is just it, if anyone wants to gamble, we have many sites on gambling board that they can use, only one is not recommended, it can even be seen on the trust page of the gambling site that people should avoid it because the negative trust it has and the gambling site is 1xbit, they should not be used.

I do not think this victim will also be able to recover his money back from 1xbit. But I am always wondering how the someone would be scammed then later register on this forum to complain. I wish to know how these people know about 1xbit because they should see how 1xbit is negatively tagged by many users on this forum.
3759  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not your key not your coin, your bitcoins on exchanges are not insured on: August 04, 2022, 06:36:25 AM
You are right. I was also told by my friend not to keep my BTC savings or investments on the exchange. and it is better to store in a frozen wallet. because if the exchange is hacked or our account is hacked then our assets are more prone to being stolen. and I'm more calm if I store my BTC in a private wallet and I secure the privacy key.
Not frozen wallet, but on noncustodial wallet. If the coin amount is high, an hardware wallet or other cold wallet would be better. Frozen wallet is something that should be used in connection with a custodial wallet just like frozen account is used with a custodial exchange.

Exchanges are said to be mostly centralized these days, and that what’s make it more dangerous to still rely in them for safe keeping. Because the fact is, once you give others the right to your coins, your coins will not be safe anymore. Who knows if they will start taking advantage of your coins since you don’t have the full control on it. It’s better to keep them on yourself guarded all the time and also, never store them online.
That is true, but even if exchanges are not centralized, they should only be for exchanging, just like the principle decentralized exchanges are using. That way you exchange coin from your wallet though decentralized exchange back to your wallet, but in a way the coin will be exchanged from your wallet (the coin you want to exchange) back to your wallet (the coin you exchanged to)
3760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Share your Football Betting Strategies to Beat the Bookies this Season on: August 03, 2022, 01:07:49 PM
Winning requires strategies that would work effectively and efficiently. I believe some users on this forum are looking to win big this season from their betting. My question to you is, can you kindly share your online football betting strategies to beat the bookies this season?
Do not gamble often.
Use the amount of money you can afford to lose, it will make you have the right gambling mindset.
Bet on leagues you are well acquainted with
Gambling in the beginning of a season (like in the first 5 matches are more difficult to predict because all clubs want to lead in the beginning

If you take the right clubs to bet with, do not gamble often, three matches in a way or less are better. Gamblers that win do not gamble often.
