3742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Slow adoption and decentralized nature of bitcoin on: September 02, 2020, 07:10:13 AM
People must know how Bitcoin works in order to trust Bitcoin enough to start using it in their daily lives.
Would you ever invest your hard earned money into a project that has a vague and obscure business model and goals?I don't think so.With more transparency comes more trust. The "average Joe" isn't obligated to know absolutely everything about blockchain technology, cryptography, etc. He should be familiar with the basic fundamentals of Bitcoin.I truly believe that the fundamentals of Bitcoin are simple enough to be easily explained to uneducated people.

Total agree with this and

it think there's some thread that discussed about How to make old people understand Bitcoin? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5268958.0 this not only happen for old people, that's why there's some people not know or trust about it, and can lead with slow adoption rate of bitcoin. and some news about scammer that stealing lot of coin and laundry their asset with bitcoin become on of lot reason people not trust about it
3743  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What has bitcoin done for you? on: September 02, 2020, 06:56:53 AM

3744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Fees on: September 02, 2020, 06:43:59 AM
Coin Trader, do you have any estimate when the fees would go back to normal? How many days from now?

It take time now since ethereum price goes high same like bitcoin when the price up i see flooding of transaction happen. When people keep transfer the eth, the fees will very high. anyway you can still send your eth with low fees but miner will be choose the high fee for their priority. when you look back at 2017 when bitcoin reach ATH the miner become shower with money due high demand of transaction with high fee.
3745  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not so far from getting BTC globally accepted! Pornhub now accepts BTC & LTC. ;) on: September 02, 2020, 06:36:04 AM
Lol! Porn industry has started experimenting with cryptocurrency quite a long time back. It's not only about the store of value but also about the privacy. I lot of people are not really comfortable in using their debit/credit card in purchasing their subscription because it will show on their statement. So it's really preferable for them to use cryptocurrency instead. I still remember, there was a platform called xotika.tv who had initiated such experiments with cryptocurrency!

Good for porn lovers!

yeah sure thing its all about privacy  Cheesy

Grin Grin in my country itself porn are taboo hahah and banned all of internet service provider so i don't know how to comment this but i hope gaming industry join the vibes.  Grin

3746  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What area of bitcoin participation is easiest to work with? on: September 01, 2020, 03:53:06 PM
I have seen bounty hunter doing well, I have also seen people who do not participate in bounty and are making it well with trading alone, but I have never seen anyone around me being involved in mining, I learnt mining is more risky and cannot just be done alone, and if you even attempt it probably with your android, you may end up wasting your time and not even making it as the traders and hunters. It tend to take a massive effort to be successful in mining, you need good electricity, good mining wallet, computer with good capacity, and some other gadgets. Considering all this, which of all the participation do you see as least demanding and easiest?

I think for now bitcoin mining is not choice if u dont have mining farm, anyway if you still curious about how bitcoin mining work you can still try deposit some small amount to miningrigrental or try cloud mining like genesis.
3747  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Idena is the first Proof-of-Person Blockchain on: September 01, 2020, 08:29:52 AM

3749  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What difficulty do you face on trading bitcoin? on: August 30, 2020, 11:56:10 PM
maybe we are in the same country but the funny thing is that our views are different about government regulations, actually bitcoin is considered a commodity in my opinion and is illegal because at that time in Bali accepting payments using bitcoin while it collides with government regulations governing currency in force namely the rupiah currency

yes we are in same country dude  Grin and yes i see the news about bitcoin can't replaced the rupiah ever as a payment. and yes bali is the most common place that u can spend the bitcoin and there's bitcoin ATM on there right and Jakarta too, but right now i think all of that is gone
3750  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: India Is Looking To Introduce A Law To Ban Bitcoin, Imprisonment Of Up To 5 Year on: August 30, 2020, 11:51:45 PM
Let me give you the time line
In 2018- RBI banned bitcoin transactions from banking channels. Therefore even though bitcoin wasn't illegal exchanges can't open a bank account therefore were shut down. P2P was working
In 2019- government made a committee to know the shortcomings in cryptocurrency and therefore were considering to ban it (have not banned it are just considering to ban it)
In 2020- Supreme court of India lifted the ban of RBI and exchanges have reopened

Now once again there are speculations that it will be banned again. But it's Not yet banned it's just in consideration of being banned.

oh i see, its look like the government confuse about ban or not the bitcoin
3751  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What difficulty do you face on trading bitcoin? on: August 29, 2020, 12:59:50 AM
in my country trade is free, and it's not against the rules.
maybe in your country you can trade in a quiet way and without the knowledge of many people. this is in order to make you feel safe in trading

same as me in my county it self trade are free even tho there's some government called "BAPPETI" Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency (BAPPEBTI)

What difficulty do you face on trading bitcoin? basically is not rules issue is more likely to be emotional issue  Grin when buy cheap and the market dump so hard that's the main problem
3752  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: India Is Looking To Introduce A Law To Ban Bitcoin, Imprisonment Of Up To 5 Year on: August 29, 2020, 12:50:36 AM
why some threads says ban and some say legal https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5230499.0
3753  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Google to switch PH BPO partner following online scam (and mentions Bitcoin) on: August 29, 2020, 12:46:55 AM
When Twitter accounts was hacked, many media outlets directed criticism of bitcoin, but after a while they were able to track where the currencies were sold, so using btc does not mean that they are safe, and no one will be able to know where they have transferred this money.
Do not worry about such news, we have become stronger than its impact, and BTC can be used for good and bad things.

Yes agree with this, not just bitcoin anyway that can be used for good and bad things i mean anything can be used for good and bad things.so yes we have become stronger than its impact.
I was just talking to my wife about this news as she used to work on BPO as well. And myself have some interactions with some employee in the Cebu area way back about IT related works so I was quite suprised that this wall pulled by some Cebuanos.

But this won't affect bitcoin though, this could probably in the news for sometime specially in Facebook and yeah it could affect the image of bitcoin again for Filipinos. But I doubt that the whole country will learn their lessons here, Filipinos easily forget this kind of negative press. And for Filipino crypto enthusiasts, they don't care about this news. They will just continue and go on with their lives and still be on the bitcoin bandwagon.

and yes people trying use bitcoin because it can be mixing so untracable
3754  Economy / Economics / Re: How long will it take banks to phase out physical cash completely? on: August 28, 2020, 02:16:00 AM
As we enter the digital realm due to the effects of COVID-19, the process of central banks phasing out physical cash from existence might take place soon. Before the outbreak, we've been accustomed in using credit/debit cards and contactless payments greatly eliminating the need for physical cash. Now that we're in a "COVID Era", things have accelerated quite a bit. Banks and governments are in talks of adopting CBDCs which could completely eliminate the need to pay for things with physical cash.

Now the real question is, how long will it take banks to start the transition from physical to digital cash (CBDC)? Do you think that physical cash will still be used right after governments adopt CBDCs in their entirety? Or will it take decades before every single person in the world stops transacting with physical cash, paving the way for a full-fledged cashless society? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley

in my opinion it will take very longgg time or nearly impossible cause there's lot of development country or the old people like your post in bitcoin discussion that barely don't know about e-money

It will take some time probably if it will going to happen but for me fiat or the physical money should not be eradicated. It is good tha people could have a choice whether to use the physical money or not. The good thing of having the digital money is the ease of doing transactions while in physical money the ease of doing small business where still not accepting digital money and still uses the physical money. If all will be digital then there could be a lot of issues we will going to face and that includes the dependency of digital to which it will require network cnnection for onlinr transactions. Costly too because operations, maintenance of the equipment to be used will be added to the consumers.

and totall agree with these  Smiley
3755  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be possible to develop crypto address validation technology? on: August 28, 2020, 02:09:47 AM
Thousands of coins worth $$$$ had been lost due this kind of user's mistake at least software/wallet developers build for somewhat user friendly that will help to avoid this if possible.

yes, even my self its happen like 2-3 times  Grin Grin because the address of coin hard to remember

and i think is possible in near future and maybe right now the coin need to be implemented new unique alias to make people easy remember it.

and yes there bunch coin out there that using same address like ERC 20 and other coin start with 0x

maybe add "Thenameofcoin" at the first of address can be the option right now for developer of the coin but its really hard right now with bunch of altcoin right there
3756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to Bitcoin in the long term? on: August 28, 2020, 02:03:58 AM

1. The miners also earn from transaction fees and that can also get pretty big. Last block came with 1.5 BTC also in fees. https://sochain.com/block/BTC/645584
2. The miners unhappy with their earnings can stop and this will make the difficulty (and mining cost) drop for the remaining miners.

This together with the rising price of bitcoin should hopefully get to good "middle point" where everyone will be happy.
There's still a lot of time until then.

yes i aggree and maybe the community will try new consensus like using PoS or Masternode or something new

and in my opinion people will start considering using other coin or just fork the bitcoin if this happen
3757  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-08-27] DCG is betting $100 million on mining Bitcoin in North America on: August 28, 2020, 01:49:34 AM
https://fortune.com/2020/08/27/bitcoin-mining-dcg-foundry-north-america-btc/

Barry Silbert made an announcement of an announcement yesterday. Guess this is it.

From reading this I didn't realise Bitmain's plans to mine in Texas had gone up in smoke. Hope this lot have done their sums.

100 millions of bitcoin mining and the fact

"Foundry, which has been operating below the radar since 2019, runs its own mining operations and also provides equipment and financing to crypto startups."

wow the mining industry right now same like drug cartel  Grin

3760  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-08-20] Restaurant Converts Entire Cash Reserve to BTC following Cov19 on: August 27, 2020, 04:24:12 PM
This is good news right a restaurant start to choose crypto as payment but with 1 MB block high fees will be a problem
Only thing that converting everything is the big concern at times because if at this point if market just say happens to fall then they end up in a loss. If its otherwise then it is fine and also I would have expected say 50% for now and rest in coming time can increase and make it bitcoin friendly or say 100% btc accepted and accordingly payment would also be done in btc to respective vendors.

There's some company like bitpay to convert instantly amount of bitcoin to fiat money

There's also stable coin like USDT to be reconsidering and yes right now the Gas Price of eth high too but as far as i know usdt have different chain from tron and omni right. correct me if i wrong.
