3741  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Life on Bitcoin movie trailer on: May 27, 2015, 04:33:02 AM
i have seen previous videos regarding bitcoin from this couple before. if i look to myself here, i could probably also for a big part live on bitcoin in amsterdam. you have to do much more effort. but its possible.
3742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should i create a new Node ? on: May 27, 2015, 04:28:37 AM
i have 2 vps that i didn't use anymore, but they still had a few months before expiring. which made me set up 2 nodes to support the network. i say, go for it.
3743  Other / Meta / Re: Is bitcointalk.org slow for everyone or is it just me? on: May 26, 2015, 09:41:05 PM
yesterday it was very slow and was showing errors. now it works quick and smooth as usual. let's hope it stays like this. we had have seen enough drama already.
3744  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where do you sell coins ? on: May 26, 2015, 09:37:18 PM
Most of Chinese exchange are good place to trading, they are unlikely to run away.
But if you want to keep anonymous, it may not a good place.

read your comment again please. it doesn't make sense. whatever exchange people use, never trust an exchange completely. chinese or european or usa, it has nothing to do with how trustworthy an exchange is.
3745  Economy / Speculation / Re: The problem with bagholders... on: May 26, 2015, 09:30:17 PM
it's not a problem. there isn't a problem. why can't people not just accept that bitcoin won't go up each time just to give you profit. current price is exactly right. no reason to go higher now.
3746  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Prediction 2015 ฿ on: May 26, 2015, 08:48:57 AM
I'm guessing that Bitcoin price at the exchanges will reach 500-600 dollars. My main point saying that is because of all the heavy investments

It can  never happen! 600$? No way!

bitcoin can reach $600 not sure why you think it can't. it will probably take a few years from now. just have patience.
3747  Other / Meta / Re: A mail from noreply@bitcointalk.org on: May 26, 2015, 08:43:37 AM
I think bitcointalk admin should take some steps and post a news also with announcements of the same so that when people search google they get appropriate new, because when I searched for the same I get links where people are talking that the forum is compromised.

BTW- we all members are more smarter than those creepy hackers  Tongue - we will never click the links sent over email rather would come to the forum directly

as long as people refuse to use common sense and not click on links, hackers will continue to have success. newbies don't know how to secure wallets properly, so if they indeed click on a bad link they are burned.
3748  Other / Meta / Re: how does one unsubscribe? on: May 26, 2015, 03:37:49 AM
simply abandon your account. not sure if an admin will delete your account as they have other things to do. if i remember right, there was a guy offering acount deletion services in the service section.
3749  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcointalk back up, Bitcoin falling again. Connection? on: May 26, 2015, 03:33:40 AM
Do the trolls and fudsters really have that type of power? Maybe for a rally this site has to go bye bye.

sure they do!!

newbies might fall for what trollers have to say. especially if the troller is a member with a high ranked account. just by using common sense you can see that they are full of rubbish.
3750  Economy / Economics / Re: What happened ? on: May 26, 2015, 03:28:46 AM
the next big price rise would be the halving of blocks to 12.5btc ...in 2017.

block halving will happen in 2016. the "big" rise will most likely start in january or february 2016. i think target is $400-$450 after halving.

3752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Streamium be the killer Bitcoin App? on: May 25, 2015, 04:41:10 PM
i don't think there will be a killer app that will make bitcoin go mainstream. it's the combination of everything together that will make bitcoin go mainstream. regarding op : i think it will get bought by a large tech company as the potential is high.
3753  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reminder to smug bears: Remember 2012 on: May 25, 2015, 04:23:53 PM
comparing bitcoin in 2012 to how it is now isn't really fair. bitcoin now has a far higher market cap while in 2012 with what is considered a low amount now, you could give bitcoin a massive pump back in the days.
3754  Other / Meta / Re: About the recent server compromise on: May 25, 2015, 03:54:16 PM
i have changed my password to make sure my account is safe. this shows that you must never use a password in more than 1 place.
3755  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Big Picture on: May 21, 2015, 09:04:15 PM
people here don't have patience. they want profit, and they want it quick. i'm not really a fan of looking at charts and say it will go up or down. i only look at the facts. fact is that short term doesn't look bright, sub $200 is not far away.

Interesting.  I do not like to predict short term price swings on a long term investment, it is rather pointless as trendlines can be drawn different ways.  I would not argue that $180 would be completely out of the realm of possibility tweaking the line slightly.  Some call downtrend, but it all just a matter of perspective on the time frame you are basing the analysis off of.

Just out of curiosity though, you say you do not look at charts to predict price movement, yet you seem to have come to the conclusion that "fact is that short term doesn't look bright, sub $200 is not far away".  Care to elaborate on where you get these "facts" for a price prediction, if you do not get it from the charts?

$180 trendline:

it's not that hard to spot. sentiment is bad for quite a while. every time the price looks to go up and people get excited, the price then goes down again. it will stay like this untill there's reason for that. (blockhalving)
3756  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help Me Earn A Job :) on: May 21, 2015, 09:56:53 AM
Youtube is bullsh!t, you can barely earn there especially since they lowered ad prices. It seems to me that google is getting cr@ppier by the day.

Also their adsense is very strict, you can easily get banned there.

Dont go with centralized professions, stick with decentralization. The new paradigm has alot of jobs to offer  Wink

i had a youtube gaming channel with around 500-1000 views per video and the earnings were crap indeed. in some cases you get just $1 per video and some times even less. totally not worth it unless it's a pure hobby.
3757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Regulation The End For Bitcoin? on: May 21, 2015, 09:49:12 AM
i think if something is regulated, it can be corrupted.
i prefer bitcoin should not be regulated by anyone

Thats right it will like a government of any country. We will pay a taxes and also many of users will not agree to that regulation. YES its end of the bitcoin.

if bitcoin does get regulated, then you know bitcoin is being taken seriously by governments. it might attract a lot new investors who were waiting for such news.
3758  Economy / Speculation / Re: What does it take for Bitcoin to go 100X? on: May 21, 2015, 09:42:39 AM
Probably about 100 million dollars spent on bitcoins each day.

Actually a country making it an official currency would probably push BTC to a new high.
There's a lot of things that could add to the process.

Bitcoin becoming a world reserve currency would definitely make it worth 100 times more Wink

This will not happens any time soon. Most of countries will try to use that in advantage to make more money they dont want to risk anything for this.
Yes it will push price but i dont think that just one country would do anything need more at least 10.

any time soon? it will never happen. tell me why would a country use bitcoin where they don't have any control, while they can create their own and have the control they so love.
3759  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Beginner starting trading on: May 21, 2015, 12:11:45 AM
When you don't have much BTC to trade with, you might better start with altcoin trading. In that situation you can also become familiar with the actual trading process (and its risks).

Most altcoins are probably more volatile than Bitcoin, so there will be more changes in value. This might return in profit, but also in loss.

Ok and altcoins can be exchanged for bitcoins right? Any tips on where I should begin?

poloniex if you don't bother too much with their new id verification, but you can still put fake name, otherwise crypsy is good big volume, and great security never hacked for now

security is important for a trader since you need to store always an amount for fast trading

there is also bittrex, which has changed its front recently, starting from there and then move to cryptsy would not be a bad move

I apologize I'm confused. So i should join one of those exchanges buy the currency then trade until I make a profit and sell to get more  bitcoins?

as beginner try to avoid altcoins, unless you know that investing in altcoins is the same as gambling. there are way too many pump & dump coins.

Lol one says use altcoins one says don't use alt coins. I made a btc-e account and transfers my measly bitcoins I wanted to transfer some funds but coinbase takes 6 days any way to add funds faster?

altcoins are very risky. one day they get a +100% pump and the other day they get dumped to the floor. if you do plan to trade altcoins stick with btc-e as they don't list scamcoins.
3760  Economy / Speculation / Re: ~!~!~! Bitcoin Price Discussion !~!~!~ on: May 21, 2015, 12:07:27 AM
#FACT:   Bitcoin will implode cause it is in the nature of every ponzi to do so! Sooner or later a price of 0$ for 1BTC is inevitable!

then why are you still being active here if you think bitcoin will lose all its value? you know that what you say is bs because you would have left long ago.
