3741  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / HOW TO MINE FOR NEWBIES on: April 12, 2016, 10:31:35 AM
Hi Snr/Fellow/Newbie,
Have been trying to learn the mining things but all my effort was footless and I'm a kind of person that know knowledge. Besides, I came to this forum cos I want to have more knowledge of the crypto currency not knowing that I can even it by posting messages on here.
I will be more than happy if you guys could post something that will help me and other people how to mine in a profitable way. Thanks
3742  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What are you mining these days? on: April 12, 2016, 10:18:42 AM
I've started mining CURE coin. I already have nearly 100,000,000 folding points, so I thought I might as well continue contributing to F@H and make a few pennies. I'm making about $2.00 a day with my 980 Sli and i7-5820K.

I get free electricity so, you know, YOLO. The cool thing about it is that you can also mine it too, so I got a little Rockminer hashing away getting 2 cure coins a day. At the end of the week I just go to an exchange and sell them for BTC

Are you really getting 2$ a day with CPU mining?

I will do appreciate it if you guys could really teach me how to mine cos all my effort trying to learn mining come to nought. Besides, when you guys said the word CPU, are you talking about Computer Processing Unit?

Collecting bitcoin is not hard if we just deny how much to earn because it is very easy to earn a thousand of satoshis every day. Well, if you mean on how to earn a living in bitcoin, then start investing in trading. It is easy money.

A quite number of people usually said trading is one of the best way in getting bitcoin and i was told now that trading is also risky that make me ask what are the thing an inexperience person must watch out for in other not to loose his/her bitcoin?
The risk of bitcoin trading is absolutely based on your experience with it. When you gain more experience you will gain knowledge. With your knowledge and experience you can minimize your risk with bitcoin trading. I believe working for bitcoin in freelance way must be a risky free way when you go with escrow and trusted members.

Ok and i have been told that the rise and fall in price of bitcoin are the risk involve in trading. Do think block chain stats is good for reading the rise and fall in rice of bitcoin when trading?
3744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What are you mining these days? on: April 10, 2016, 03:45:55 PM
I do CPU and GPU mining at the same time. I have an old separate rig for that, not that powerful but still ok on alts. I mine via NiceHash pool as it has multi-algo changer. Although not powerful, I still got at least 300K+ to 400K+ sato a day.
Ok and like how many hours do you spent mining that?

I spent 24 hours a day, uninterrupted mining. But getting $1 to $2 a day in mining is not much profitable unless you are using a second hand hardware and a free electricity. But it helps me to prevent using faucets.

That mean is not profitable. Could teach me anyway cos sooner or later it might be profitable again

If you have a good graphics card, it is still profitable to mine the Ethereum. But the Ethereum price is dropping.

Ok. Did they sell graphic card in market or I have to download and install it?

You can the graphics from shops, then you build the mining rig with the power graphics and mine.

Ok but i'm inexperience and i dont how i will do that. Could tell me the shop and how i will build the mining rig with the graphics

There are many online shops or the PC world shops sell the cards. But the most profitable coin Ethereum is less profitable now.

Ok and thank you. How much does it cost to get the card?
3745  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Who owns Bitcoin? on: April 10, 2016, 03:42:19 PM
Everyone owns bitcoin as long as you have an address with 1 satoshi in it holding the private you owned it.
Satoshi Nakamoto left 2010 but he dont own bitcoin just the concept.

Wait. I don't get what you're trying to say when you Satoshi Nakamoto left. Does that mean he just created bitcoin but not interested in having a coin or something?

Out of the 4 listed means of getting a bitcoin,I will say no to gambling cos you can loose everything in a snap of fingers

but you can try your luck with free money, such as from a faucet, because every gambling usually have a faucet.
I myself have made a huge amount from faucet. it's just really requires great patience Cheesy

I have played a lot with free money from the faucets on gambling sites, but never won something big from it, once i won 0.003 btc from a faucet earnings on a gambling site, and when i tried to make them a little more, i lost them all in next few minutes.

I think it's pretty good you've been able to make it into 0.003. Your strategy might out of luck, because I was also really lucky that one time and not frequent.
provably its hard to make profit in free faucet bonus even 0.003.. i tried many times for fun but honestly i cant reach even 0.001 to withdraw it instantly in my wallet..
Yes true advantage is very small faucet, the faucet is probably better suited for people who first recognize bitcoin. But I'm sure the faucets use only for a while and after getting to know the signature campaign, etc. surely he will not play again because the faucet will get more benefits aside from the faucet.

To be sincere, signature campaign does pay the highest satoshi and it wil be better if all the Newbie wait but keep posting on this forum till they reach the Junior member rank.
Nevertheless, there is something going through my mind and that thing is, how much they the signature campaign owner make per post ?

I am using multibit at a moment as I think its very safe and secure and whenever I need to transfer it to my bank account I transfer a part of it to LBC.

What does LBC stand for?
LBC= LocalBitCoin exchange. Site: https://localbitcoins.com It is a peer to peer exchange, not a wallet service.
But I guess, you are able to load your bitcoins in your account wallet of LBC if my understanding is right. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Ok... I understand what you said and I would like to know if the site worth trusted?

I will go with localbitcoins.com as I think that is most convenient wallet as I need to transfer my btc to my bank account and localbitcoin is the best as the transfers are done in fraction  of minutes.

Did they deal with international banks or just local banks only?

It is really more of a exchange then a wallet.  Normally people that use LBC tend to be the ones who don't like having it linked to an account tied to yourself.  If you don't mind it there is much better such as US going with coinbase.

LBC I think of as people who want to be more anonymous.  Like ones in US who don't want to go with a exchange that follows KYC.
I dont understand your saying. Do you mean work with international banks?

Buying new altcoins can be a hit or miss but there are more misses. If you got a hit though, it will be big time. Bigup coin was at 1 sat before the hype now I sold it at 4 sats, yoohoo Smiley

Could you teach me how to do the trading thing?

I think multibit is the best for me.
never use multibit but for me still the best is coinbase because its legal site and i think you cant scam from this site.. and the transaction has no fee unlike other wallet blockchain electrum and i think multibit too has a fee for every transaction you maid..

By their own admission they becoming more of an exchange than a wallet and similar to an exchange you don’t have any control, they do, like a bank.

Having said that I can see the attraction, a pretty good UI and not having to decide on transaction fees, they pay it for you, if it is Coinbase to Coinbase or above 0.0001

I checked coinbase the exchange rate is low than xapo. How does coinbase exchange unit work?

Trading is not easy though.  Many will mention trading but a lot are pump/dump alts and you can lose money quick to.  Anything with a high risk/high reward... has a high loss chance to.   So I always suggest caution with trading as I hate people to go crazy and lose a lot.

"luck" should not be something you count on for investments.
trader is easy if you know the trick
the first important for newbie trader is :
- don't put all your buy order at 1place,
- don't buying altcoin in ICO, IPO etc.
- don't buying altcoin when the price rising (+100% or more)
- sometimes we must sell our altcoin, even we lose for buy back at lower rate
- don't buying altcoin with not active dev, potentially scam is higher.

Thanks for sharing this man but how would someone who is inexperience like know when altcoin is fall or rise in price and what are the ICO/IPO?

I am collecting it from signature campaign and trading as I think that is the best way to collect some bitcoins in a quick time and I gamble it sometimes too  Grin

That's good if the gambling works for you but I will never try it and I can't tell someone to try it either

Is just a nature o gambling that you can always lose if you are not satisfied what you win.. better to control your self and be satisfied i you make 0.003 better to withdraw it because you just claim it in faucet for free..

That's why I said no to gambling. Infact, I'm not that luck when it come to gambling and when you knew you're not luck in something is better you abstain from it
3758  Other / Off-topic / Re: Way to get bitcoin..!! on: April 08, 2016, 03:06:55 PM
OP didn't consider faucet owners and website owners. he was only mentioned faucet users, I think making your own faucet and earning bitcoin through advertisements and referrals is also a great way to earn money. some faucets on the web getting thousands of viewers every day, they surely earn huge profit.

Absolutely, having a good faucet with many active members is a good way to earn money. One of the best faucet is freebitco.in imo, once you can make a faucet like this so you can earn a decent amount daily or weekly through advertisement.

Currently faucets owners are taking a battle against bots, that just collect the pot and nothign else, the people must understand that faucets is a two side, you share a reward and you expect the user contribute to you dont need to be all days, but you can support faucet owners, daily the same way you claim.I see people complaning about to claim 100 satoshis or less from some faucets,if all do their task right those could be 500 and even 1000satoshis,but people dont care soo isnt a easy profitable system.

This will be the first time I will hear about this. Infact, most people don't know this,so how can a faucet user make a contribute?

Well i believe you are new at crypto world, but anyway all faucets has advertisements on their pages, their source of income,if you use the faucet just to claim and dont click ads you arent supporting the faucet, soo the rates can go down or the faucet close.Doesnt mean you have to click but if you claim lets say 5000satoshis from a faucet daily you can easy make 1 click to help the faucet to keep running.

Ok. Now I understand and I will do that from now on cos I will be happy if the faucet use increase from 600 sato
600 satoshi such a very small amount why dont you try to do some task in services section that you can make more in 600 satoshi.. doing task like data entry and other task like sign up ang you will receive more satoshi..

Oh really but I checked the service section acouple of days back and all I found was people trying to sell some stuff. Besides, I make 600 satoshi in 10 mins. Can I make more than that in service section?
