3761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your perspective on a new casino on: January 01, 2022, 03:06:54 AM
There are a lot of casinos coming here everyday and most of them are really not worth to try in my opinion. I have been active in the gambling section for the last few months, possibly for the last year. I have observed many sites but didn’t find a lot of good projects. Only a few were worthy to check out and play. What do you do? Join and try your luck on the new casino or join only if you see them lasting for long?
Correct me but is there any benefits for the gambler if you are playing at the early stages of the website and at the mid to late stages of the site?
I mean what are the differences when a gambler played when the site is new and when the gambler played as the site becomes reputable enough.

I asked it because I don't know personally but as for me, I think just waiting for the site becomes reputable would be better compare to just gambling into a new casino which has a high chances of you getting scammed. Its like investing into new projects that the risks are high.
3762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the Metaverse a bubble? on: December 31, 2021, 01:36:08 PM
The Metaverse hype came out just because of the announcement of Mark Zuckerberg regarding re-branding of Facebook into Meta in the future.
Well, coins like Decentraland and Sandbox really pumped because of this hype but TBH this is far from being fully functional.

Right now, it isn't a bubble at least for me and for some out there and I don't think that it will be. Its just hyped and this hype will slowly decrease until nobody will ever know about metaverse again or maybe when Facebook will change its name into Meta. As for me, I will not invest into coins related to Metaverses though its a good concept and a good thing.
3763  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc is boring on: December 31, 2021, 01:02:39 PM
Right now even if btc will make moves 20% up or down...its really nothing.
If anything can give us 100%-10000% price volatility then im sure grayscale whales and wall street will stay alone with their bitcoins.
20% price movement for Bitcoin and its nothing? We know that we've seen that move numerous times already to the point that you see it as a common thing already but to say that its nothing? You're wrong because boring investments are good investments Smiley.

If you see Bitcoin as a boring investment then you are saying that Stock Market, Bonds and some assets like Gold and Silver are boring as well then? You are saying that it is boring because you aren't trading. Use Bitcoin in Futures Trading so you're life with Bitcoin will not be boring Smiley.
3764  Economy / Speculation / Re: Evaluate your Bitcoin for next year on: December 31, 2021, 12:34:06 PM
We have all benefited from Bitcoin (to be honest from the bottom of our hearts), during this one year what have you accomplished? You have? and you achieve it all there is a service that is not physical, but with great value. Well, the role of Bitcoin in it.
Saved more money for my future, bought some NFT's, added some long term coins and bought some things that I needed and wanted.
These are just some of the things that I've done and all thanks not only to Bitcoin but to crypto in general. Without it, I can't do what I did this year.

What I want to say is, what are the expectations for 2022 regarding Bitcoin's existence? And you have the right to say so here. Your expectations, and what you have not achieved when interacting with Bitcoin. Include it in this thread, for us to re-evaluate at the end of 2022 with the same date, but with your situation much better than now.
I'm expecting 2 things about Bitcoin this upcoming 2022. It will either go to $100,000 for the first time and will stay sideways or it will go to the $30,000 price and will stay sideways as well.
What I haven't achieved using Bitcoin? Hmmmm maybe increasing my Bitcoin holdings to X amount. I think that I will achieve it and at the same time, will add more long term coins to hold for a long time.

May we be given long life and health.
Happy New Year's preparations, convey my greetings to your family there.  Cheesy
Same with you OP. Happy New year as well Smiley
3765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 31, 2021, 11:08:37 AM
I really feel bad for Russ and AD.  Neither of them have the mental toughness to make it in LA.  Especially with LeBron getting frustrated every time someone other than him makes a mistake.  If there's any way in the world the Lakers could put together a 3 team trade and send AD to Portland and Russ to Philly for Ben Simmons and Dame Lillard, I think the team would do much better.  Granted Ben Simmons isn't exactly the right mental giant to survive the LA market either, but I think it would be an improvement over his current situation.

I think the Lakers will make the playoffs regardless though.  They'll get it figured out after the all star break.
Trading AD and Russ would be better for the team but for me, Lebron leaving LA would be better especially if he wants another championship.

Lebron to Cleveland. That might be a good scenario to see at least. The Cavs has a young roster which has a good future like Sexton, Garland and Mobley and at the same time they have veterans who can help this young players like Love, Allen and Rubio (hoping for his fast recovery for next season). Just imagine if Lebron will be inserted into the roster. He can help the team and at the same time, train this young players to be all-star players in the future. The Cavaliers are at the playoff spot as of this moment and lets take note that they don't have any all-star player like the level of Giannis or Lebron.

Either way, what we all saying are just assumptions and nothing is certain to happen so... yeah but I agree that Lakers will enter the playoffs or I think at the play-in part.
3766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why should Gambling be legalized ? on: December 31, 2021, 10:25:32 AM
There are many reasons but I think the main reason is tax.

There are many countries around the world that has casinos that are registered like in our country. In our country, there are casinos that are registered and they are operating legally. I mean I don't see anything wrong with illegalizing casinos aside from the fact that most of the time, it causes negative effects to the gamblers and if we will on that perspective the casino has nothing to do with the after effects of the gambler since they didn't persuade him/her to play but he/she went there and gambled. One thing more is that governments are benefitting on casinos because they are paying high taxes so if you are the government, why would you illegalize an industry that gives you high taxes right?
3767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hoddle or day trading on: December 31, 2021, 09:37:12 AM
I have some altcoins I bought at the ICO stage which did x pricee movement and now are dead while others are still at a stable price but I will like to make some profits at this time should I continue holding or start trading them to make instant profits what will be your advice in this situation.
You will not earn money if you will just hold them and if they have a low volume on exchanges.

If you want instant profit, sell all your altcoins and do futures trading. You want instant profits right? Futures trading can give you instant profit and it can make your money x3 or x5 in just a matter of minutes. Well with instant profits comes instant losses especially if you aren't expert on futures trading. As for me, I prefer holding and base on my experience trading isn't for me as I lost money doing it already compare to just by holding. The reward is lower though but the risks are lower compare to day trading.
3768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 29, 2021, 11:50:51 AM
Guys, let me bring this question that's on my mind when I've been seeing posts about Lebron on social media.

Why there's much hate on the guy? I think this has been there for a very long time and I just can't stop thinking why people hates him? Is it that I'm on the wrong feed and wrong people to look at as they hate him?

Or there's really something bad that they've seen on him?

Self-preferences, mate.

It's like the same way you are against a certain player, no matter what the status or how great that is, not just in basketball if you have one. It's not because, LeBron leaving the Cavaliers for the first time to form a superteam, LeBrick, LeEvict, LeCoach, LeGM, LeFlop, LeBlame, LeBrick, etc.

When LeBron enters the league or even way back in his amateur days, there are haters already. You just have to live with it. Smiley
Well, that makes sense.

You're right that it's just that we as fans, have our preferences and that will never be gone to one's attitude.

We may love him and hate him, just as the other players that also have haters. It just so happens that Lebron is one of the most popular in this era although he's already aging.

Despite the fact that there are many haters of Lebron, that doesn't change that he will soon be in the hall of fame the moment he retires. At his age now, he is still active and playing very well and continue to break his own record to be at the top, maybe we can't compare him with Jordan but he is making his own name.

Sure, there is an argument that James could be on top, but not yet in the Mt. Rushmore. Scoring wise though, he might break Malone's record if he keeps on playing in the next 2-3 (or least the time wherein him and his son playing together). We can't compare era's in the 2000's we have Kobe and then later it was Lebron. And as you have said, haters gonna hate, and as long as Lebron is playing, there are a lot of critics around.
With his current pace and how he is playing right now and if he is like this for at least 2 years, there is a high chance that he even surpass Kareem with the most points in NBA History and if he continues to score like this he might surpass Malone's record either this season or early next season. On the other hand though, LeBron is 2 championships away from tying Jordan. I agree though with the phrase "haters gonna hate" because if you are becoming more and more popular there will be more and more people that will hate you for some reasons. Well, it just shows that you are doing something big because many are recognizing your actions.
3769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stick to altcoins or switch to Bitcoin or stablecoins? on: December 29, 2021, 10:32:20 AM
Market is witnessing some gradual dumps and it's a know fact that altcoins will bleed more than bitcoin and they will be stable or recover only when bitcoin recovers and pumps. So will it be wise to hold on to Altcoin or switch to Bitcoin or convert the funds into stablecoins and wait for market to either start recovering or to dump further to buy more in order to reach breakthrough for the lose which we might have incurred till now.
If you want more stress and you know when to convert into stablecoins then do it.
As for me, switching into one coin into another coin will just give me more stress than just by holding it. Well, holding when it dumped is only applied when you are just holding top coins since there will be time that these coins will go higher.

After all, we have different strategies when investing into altcoins and crypto in general and for me just holding when it dump is a better strategy.
3770  Economy / Speculation / Re: What about 2022? on: December 29, 2021, 10:06:46 AM
What's your take on 2022? Will it be as profitable as 2021 or else we will witness correction phase?
2021 is the year where people are very optimistic and people are investing more into it because they see it as a hedge fund against the Dollar.

Just few weeks ago, we've seen a bit of a dip with Bitcoin and just after that we've seen it going sideways. What's my take on 2022? Well, I'm not expecting too much (as I always am) and I mean I don't see Bitcoin going to 6 digit figures next year unless we will see a continuation of a bull market. I'm leaning towards the market entering into a big correction stage or a bear market since I believe in cycles though this will not happen in the first months of the year. Well, this is just a speculation since anything can happen and we can share our own speculations right Smiley.
3771  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: December 29, 2021, 08:17:12 AM
Yes, with my book he's not considered as local. But with the current season, imports are allowed. It is just that his height is more than the limit and with his want to play for the league maybe the PBA management would give him a consideration.

I research a bit and @harizen is right. Andray Blatche is not allowed in Governors Cup. No consideration of course as it will break the terms and more imports will come with a tall height in that conference.

Blatche is fit on the Commissioners Cup and his height is eligible. Marcus Douthit, also a former Gilas player, played as an import for PBA and his height was the same as Andray Blatche. Next year that is possible, if he is still interested to play as an import.
I have watched a Youtube Video regarding this and I think that Blatche isn't eligible into either the Governor's Cup and the Commissioner's Cup. Correct me though if I'm wrong.
This is the link of the video that I watched (in Filipino though). LINK

It is said that the maximum height for an import in the Commissioner's Cup is 6'10" and the height of Blatche that is listed is 6'11" so I don't think that he will is eligible into both Cups. Douthit can play in Commissioner's Cup since he is a bit shorter than Blatche but the problem is his age. Teams will prefer to pick a younger import than a 41 year old Douthit because we know how age affects the effectiveness of the player inside the court.

Overall, many wanted not only them but other imports to play in our league and I think that the BOD needs to make an adjustment regarding additional spots for imports. I mean like in B-League where they are accepting more than one import per team something like that. Of course this will cost more money since import's salary is higher than locals (I think).
3772  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin upgraded my financial life on: December 28, 2021, 09:57:16 AM
So I had a great holiday season all with the help of Bitcoin I came from an underdeveloped country where the rate of unemployment is pretty high and many youths are left to do some hard jobs just to survive even graduates with University degrees have no paying jobs I got to know about this forum some months ago and since then my financial life was transformed and the Christmas happens to be my best I can now earn little money to take care of my financial needs all with the help of Bitcoin-related jobs both on this forum and off the forum. BITCOIN IS A SAVIOR
Graduating and having a degree doesn't mean that you will have a good life. I've seen many people around the world and here in our place who ended up being at the top when they were studying but ended up earning a minimum per month. It doesn't matter if you're performing well when you are studying because numbers (grades) doesn't predict your future. We've seen successful businessmen that didn't study but ended up as one of the owners of a successful company. Its the skills that matters not the degree.

I have did a quick search in your profile and correct me but you live in Nigeria where the monthly salary is 73$ base on what I've searched on Google. Well, though its good to see that you've earning more with the help of Bitcoin just make sure that you still have a main job aside from your Bitcoin related job unless you are a full time freelancer that is being paid thru Bitcoin. With regards to your story though, many can relate to it including me.

If only I followed what other people said about Bitcoin that it is a scam then I will not be experiencing what I'm experiencing right now. If only I didn't trusted Bitcoin then I'm not the place where I'm in right now. If only I pursued the first thing that I liked which is being in a MLM company then I might not know Bitcoin until now. Bitcoin taught me how to invest. Bitcoin gave me opportunity to earn more than what a usual worker is earning here in our country and I know that many are experiencing the same too. Well, good luck to us I think and I hope that 2022 will be a better year even though many are saying that we might see the market going down next year Cheesy.
3773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2022 Perspective: My portfolio plan on: December 28, 2021, 08:53:08 AM
1. Public chain : Keep 10% ETH, show respect to the fundamental basis, but I will increase the holds of Luna, Avax, sol, also, don't forget layer 2, my one and only choose will be mattic
I might add some Ethereum next year. I used all of my Ethereum to buy some Axies and didn't keep some to hold. One of the best decisions that I've done though since I still get passive income and I'm doing what I love to do which is playing Cheesy. Aside from having AXS, I'm still holding Bitcoin, Cardano and CRO. I'm a bit late with MATIC I guess so I will wait for a bit of a correction from that token before I will buy.

2. Metaverse: where the next 1000x coins might be born, but I'm still waiting the real case. the 'top players' at this moment are not real metaverse in my opinion, metaverse is not just about selling land or play 2 earn, it's about the real contact of virtual and reality. I personally value the project Metabase Network, which aims to provide a infrastructure of metaverse.
Decentraland, Sandbox, MOBOX. Share some more if I forgot some.
Not a fan of metaverse TBH because I'm more of a NFT game even though there are many scam and pump and dump NFT games already.
3774  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Pi Coins on: December 28, 2021, 07:29:25 AM
Hey guys! Does anyone here on the forum have an idea or knowledge about PI MiNING?

-Is Pi Mining legit or is it a scam?

-Will all the active miners of the Pi Network be worth the wait eventually?

-Will all the mined Pi Coins have any value in the future?

-Can it be exchanged like other listed tokens or coins in cryptocurrency?

People are divided when it comes to pi coins because of their upcoming launch, many believe that PI coins are real but others say they are scams or fake due to speculation on its value that the exchange rate is too high when it is formally released... What can you say about it?
If you will see the definition of a scam, you will see this.
Quote
to obtain (something, such as money) by a scam
Correct me but is Pi Network team sold something to investors already? I don't know because I'm not following this shitty project at all although I've seen this in Facebook posts several times already.

If they sold something to investors and they they ran away then we can say that it is a scam but right now, it is too early to say that it is though I can say that this project is just one of the trash projects out there. I'm not supporting this project, I'm just saying that it isn't a scam until we see some actions from them and at the same time I don't see it as a legit project at all.

Regarding to those miners that are mining without doing anything, there is no way that they will get money from it so its not worth the wait. We know how mining in crypto works and those numbers from their app?? Its just numbers that these "fake" miners will never get.

Pi Network has been there for years but until now, I don't see any token price at all. Some are saying that it will go 2$ and some as high as 20$ which is impossible if you will just a quick math regarding the number of users mining and the number of PI coins that have been mined (fake).

Can it be exchanged? Well they are there for a long time but until now it hasn't been listed on any of the exchanges. They are afraid probably that these fake miners will dump their token and putting its price to 0. For sure when this token will be listed on any exchange, people will dump them and leave the project like many other people are doing. Overall, Pi Network is just a shitty project but I don't say its a scam at least for me unless there is somebody who can say that they sold products or anything to their investors already.
3775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is it good to penalize airdrop hunters? on: December 28, 2021, 07:04:43 AM
They're basically "free money" for not doing anything in return.
Shilling the project into different social media platforms are the things that these airdrop hunters are doing so the phrase "not doing anything in return" is kinda wrong at least for me because they are doing something in order to get free money.

Some projects have been widely successful after an airdrop, while others have gone all the way down the drain. There's been a upsurge of airdrop hunters looking to "milk rewards" from the system, effectively dumping all of their coins/tokens on the market for profit. While most projects have been quite flexible in the eligibility for an airdrop, one project decided to take the stand by adopting measures to prevent abuse. Parachain Swap's airdrop has been quite controversial as it only rewarded a small portion of its users. The vast majority of the people weren't rewarded (especially airdrop hunters), resulting in a decline of the token's price.
This is happening for a long time already. There are some projects as well in the past that aren't paying these airdrop hunters. Well, I agree though that they are one of the reasons why the price of the token plummets as soon as it is being listed on an exchange. They, investors and the developers as well are the ones who are dumping the token just to get money.

Do you think it's a good idea to penalize airdrop hunters? Will this do more harm or good to the adoption of crypto/Blockchain tech? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley
One question that comes out is how do airdrop hunters be penalized? In what circumstances will these hunters be penalized?
We know already that these airdrop hunters are just out there for the money. Do you know somebody who is joining in airdrops but he is holding it because he has trust in the project? I don't think there is somebody who is brave enough to do that. Airdrops are just a waste of time at least for me but we have different opinions when it comes to airdrops. I tried joining into it but got nothing. Just a waste of time.
3776  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can you really predict Bitcoin at this time on: December 27, 2021, 01:06:15 PM
people are just saying there opinions at this time of the year about Bitcoin.
Well, whether they are analysts or experts in Technical analysis all of them are saying their opinions. Its just that there are some that have basis to their predictions but most of them are just sharing their opinions base on what they are feeling. All of us can share their predictions about Bitcoin.

Who can decide the next phase of Bitcoin at this time.
None.
If there is somebody who knows what can happen into the crypto market in the future then he must've be rich by now. I mean many can share their predictions but it isn't 100% accurate so what you can do as an investor is to just be ready into whatever will happen. You must've a plan if the market goes up and if the market goes down because nobody can predict the market.
3777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it Better to Hodl or Stake your Tokens? on: December 27, 2021, 10:52:55 AM
It depends on the investor.
There are some tokens that offers staking with their own platform like Cardano where they had Daedalus where you can stake your tokens there. There are some exchanges that offers annual percentage just by putting your tokens in their platform.

In general, if you are holding a particular token that is eligible for staking you have the decision to stake it for additional income so its like hitting 2 birds in one stone. You can gain from capital appreciation of that token and at the same time you can earn more tokens just by staking. As for me, I mostly hold coins that can be staked so that I can earn from both capital appreciation and staking at the same time. There is a risk to it though and it is when the price of the coin goes down.
3778  Economy / Economics / Re: Sharing and helping others on: December 27, 2021, 10:23:53 AM
Fortunately, they are ready to learn and now they are making money in cryto like me.
I'm just curious about this. Can you share with us how they are making money with crypto?
Trading?? Buy and Sell? Buy and Hold?? Freelancing? Bounty campaigns? At least share with us Smiley.

This Christmas if you can't give a gift like money, bitcoin and other material things, let's just share our knowledge of crypto with others as a gift.
Its easy for other people to share their knowledge to others but in my situation, its very hard knowing that all of my neighbors aren't into crypto and investing in general. I mean its hard for me and I don't know where to start if I want to teach them. I don't know as well if they are interested in investing on it too. The least thing that I can do is to share my knowledge only if they will approach to me at least in that way, I will know if they are interested on it or not.
3779  Economy / Economics / Re: I think most people still trust the USD more than Bitcoin on: December 27, 2021, 08:23:20 AM
Just think this analogy (at least). You have 2 friends and one of them has been your friend for a long time already while the other one is just a few weeks. Would you trust your friend more than the other one that you only knew for a few weeks? At least you got the point Cheesy.

USD exists for a long time already thus, it gained the trust of most of the people around the world and because of that many people are using it. On the other hand though, Bitcoin has been there for only 12 years and counting and how many know about Bitcoin? Only a few percentage of the global population compare to how many people know about USD. One thing more is that USD is the most widely accepted currency because they trust it more than Bitcoin. Well, this might change throughout the years and we might see more and more people trusting Bitcoin than USD.... or not Cheesy. We don't know.
3780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: December 27, 2021, 05:06:43 AM
No doubt that the Cavaliers is one of the top 8 teams that will gonna competes in the playoffs this year if they continue the way they played. Just today, they scored big time against the Raptors, it's a total blowout win 144-99. Looks like they've been doing fine despite fewer superstars in the team this year, they managed to catch up and hold their spot in the top 8.

A complete blowout for the Cavaliers. Lets take a note also that the Raptors are playing with 8 players in this game and most of their starters are out for health and safety protocols so.. I think this game is kinda expected already that the Cavaliers will win.

On the other hand, the Cavaliers are the one that I surprised the most this season because of how they are playing right now and take note that they don't have any all-star caliber player like the same level as LeBron or Curry but they are right now at the 5th spot and just 3 games behind the top spot Nets. Also, they don't have Sexton as well who is injured. Last year, its the Knicks and the Suns that surprised me because from the bottom they became a playoff contender. This season its the Cavaliers that I surprised the most.
