3763  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: October 28, 2016, 05:32:45 PM
Having signatures outside of your signature area will get you and your participants banned.
Yes, but only when second signature campaign rules not allow to promote other services. In fact, the code included in the text of the post is not a signature. I know that is dangerous game of words, but no one, in this manner, does not break the rules.
It looks like some managers will have to update campaign regulations.

what if only include the key word "girlbtc" for 0.0014btc/post?

No. It's spam and off topic. Adverts can only go in the signature or personal text area.
3764  Other / Meta / Re: Why was this topic deleted? on: October 28, 2016, 12:26:34 PM
Obviously not all staff members understand Russian and when some of them had seen it,he must have considered it as reported spam or troll and deleted it.
I expect some of them understand English, which is the language in which I suggested that the topic be moved to the appropriate board.
You might not have been the only one reporting that thread.

He wasn't. There were four reports in the queue for that thread and two of them reported it as spam and the other two for it being in the wrong section.
3765  Economy / Services / Re: girlbtc Signature Campaign on: October 28, 2016, 09:30:47 AM

note:
Normal: is posts including the following code at the end of  your post
Code:
[center][hr]
[table][tr][td][url=http://girlbtc.com/][size=29pt][b] [color=#42454a][color=#800000]Girlbtc[/color][/b][/size][/url][/td][td][table][tr][td][size=2pt]
[color=#42454a][/td][td][color=teal][url=http://girlbtc.com/]The only way you can win from gambling is stopping gamble[/url][/color] [/td][/tr]
[tr][td][/td][td] [center][url=http://www.girlbtc.com][color=red]never bet more than you can offer![/color][/url][/center][/td][/tr][/table][/table][/center]

Special:is posts including the keywords  "girlbtc" and also include the above code.

You are not allowed to do this. Any adverts can only be in your signature. Telling people to include "girlbtc" will also be seen as spam or off topic.

What would it matter if they couldn't? They would just ignore your messages. A better solution would not be to send Newbies money without escrow.

3768  Other / Meta / Re: Low quality topics on: October 25, 2016, 05:56:05 PM
the idea is that a new thread/topic will need to be approved by the moderator first before it can be displayed on the forum. And I hope it would decrease the amount of spam on this forum.

It would certainly help but would probably be too much work. I actually proposed something similar to counteract bots where every newbie's first post needs to be approved first before it goes live. Most didn't seem to be a fan of it because of the workload it would produce and theymos said it would be too difficult to implement.

Yes, unfortunately nothing is done about them. Even in the gambling section you have topics like, does gambling make you poor. But all those have been moved to the Gambling discussion section. I don't think anything can be done about the Bitcoin discussion.

Many of the low quality threads have been either locked or moved to off topic and there's many more to come. We're probably going to get much harsher with what is allowed there as well but Signature Campaign operators are also going to have to get more strict with how they run their campaigns and if they don't their signatures will be forcibly removed.

3770  Other / Meta / Re: Brand new bots (I assume) posting nonsensical garbage. on: October 25, 2016, 05:19:16 PM
They do get ip banned as do all other bots but they obviously have access to a lot of connections. Just keep reporting them as annoying as it may be.
3771  Other / Meta / Re: New posting bot on: October 23, 2016, 03:43:36 PM
Banned. He copied the same post three times in one thread.
3772  Other / Meta / Re: feature for bitcointalk to avoid scams on: October 22, 2016, 04:01:57 PM
It would lead to more hassle than it's worth. Some people change their passwords regularly, but when someone does it is mentioned at the top of their feedback profile and people should be checking that before they do a deal with someone anyway. You can always asked for a signed address as well which you should do for another layer of security.

I've told them what needs to be done and the consequences of not doing anything about it so it's just up to them now.

As above, please only bump your thread once every 24 hours.
3777  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Need someone in the US to buy me a CD then rip it to flac then send me that on: October 21, 2016, 05:49:59 AM
what is the cd and why cant you buy it yourself ?

Because I need it doing asap and don't want to have to pay $20 in shipping and wait 2 or 3 weeks for it to arrive. And why are you so concerned? Don't you have some scammers to be sending your money to extorting?

I've worked in the radio industry before and one of my jobs there was ripping CD's and converting the files to various other audio formats. My setup is very capable of producing perfect FLAC files from a CD. I also have extensive experience with various file hosting providers, and could also send the files directly in a Dropbox folder to you that we could share. I am an Amazon Prime customer and that should result in the fastest possible delivery time for the CD. I'd be happy to help you with your project.

I'd do it for $10 total BTC. That includes your CD and shipping and all fees to me assuming you don't want the physical disc mailed to you (if you do, you'd have to pay whatever actual postage costs are involved in that).

$10 is reasonable. Check your PMs.
3778  Other / Meta / Re: FARMED ACCOUNT on: October 21, 2016, 05:37:15 AM
if someone caught an account that is only posting once every 2 weeks just to get potential activity and later be sold in the market, will the MODS ban those account if i report them thru "report to moderator" button or it is better to make a thread for reporting them? i saw around 5 accounts since yesterday

Account farming isn't against the rules nor is posting once or x amount every two weeks. However, making very poor posts is. You can report them either way you want but I would probably concern yourself with your typical two lines of secondstrade spam first.

Tuesday, October 11 2016 15:33:20 - Present: 36 Posts

you posting also 1 post each 2week ? its spaming too ?  Undecided

eh? do you mean i can't be busy IRL and managed to only post once in 3 activity periods? i will understand if all activity period for my account i only have 1 post right?

Maybe they're busy irl too? Making a few posts doesn't magically make you not farming an account though but logging on to make one two or three posts isn't against the rules unless it's spam times whatever amount of accounts you're doing it over. In fact, it's silly only making one post every two weeks because if it gets deleted or the thread gets trashed then you lose that entire 14 potential activity. The farmers that try spam 14 posts every two weeks tend to be the worse though to be honest but it's worth keeping an eye on the one post posters so they don't start spamming to rank up.

It won't hurt to report the accounts. The Admins are the only ones who can issue bans. They will consider whether the account is ban worthy.

And some Globals.

Guess who just randomly decided to respond to my pm? Bitmixer. What a coincidence! I'm sure someone with about ten accounts on their campaign mailed them in a panic or something.
3780  Economy / Digital goods / Need someone in the US to buy me a CD then rip it to flac then send me that on: October 20, 2016, 07:24:17 PM
I need a CD purchasing from amazon.com. It's $1.99 + $3.99 shipping and I need you to rip it to flac then upload that to a file host and send me it. If you're in the US and you can do it please PM me with how much you can do it for. Please only contact me if you know what you're doing with ripping to flac and can do this pretty quickly. Thanks.
