Number one, are you ready?
Trump

That idea that Donald Trump is softening his immigration policy: Not going to happen.
The Republican presidential nominee on Wednesday re-upped the harsh immigration rhetoric that electrified his primary campaign, vowing "no amnesty" for undocumented migrants living in the United States and promising to build a "beautiful" and "impenetrable" border wall that Mexico would pay for -- hours after that country's president vowed that it wouldn't.

These are those kind of assertions that will lead to Trump's win.

I put some more funds in cold storage. They can't sit in any exchange waiting for the fun for too long. The price has been very steady and there's not so much trading on BTC happening. This thread is a good indicator of how to conduct trading.

It's the first time I see a -0.02% (!!!) variation in the weekly chart (according to the bitcoin ticker widget on Android).
3763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: September 01, 2016, 06:37:54 AM

it well known that italian clubs fix and scams scores look how juve and Milan went several years ago they are very strict about this and they don't tolerate this

Juventus has gone back to the way they were however milan keeps on getting sillier day by day however since that they have a new owner right now perhaps they could be the way they were again. However the new owner doesnt seem to care about the club and hasnt give any significants funds for transfer window yet

I read the contract details between the Chinese Fund which is acquiring Milan and the club. The Chinese accepted to invest at least 350 million over a three years timespan. They could be enough to start all over again with new players.
3764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: International Games Prediction Thread on: September 01, 2016, 06:32:51 AM
My picks for today friendly matches.
Beira Mar vs Moreirense. I pick over 3 goals and Moreirense spread.
Czech vs Armenia. I pick over 2.5 goals and Czech spread.
Norway vs Belarus. I pick Norway spread and over 2.5 goals.

Wow, cant' believe Norway can't make any goals on that match versus Belarus. All my bets are win except on Norway vs Belarus match, the final score is 0-1 win for Belarus.

I think a lot of people lost money on that game which has been quite a strange one if you ask.
Odds were quite fake. I hope it was just a bad day for the Norwegian guys.
Good I removed that game before placing my bet.

Looking at how many conference are being held solely regarding blockchain I would not say London's really falling apart.

So many of them are in London which means before Brexit starts showing its consequences we'd have to wait.

You have to pay to have your savings in the bank.

That should be recognized everywhere as a crime against our financial integrity but unfortunately that is something that has been accepted as inevitable by the majority of savers.
Bitcoin is here to let us be aware of the fact that we can have control over our funds.
3767  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-08-29] Risk of Bitcoin Hacks and Losses Is Very Real on: August 31, 2016, 06:29:11 AM
There is a kind of irrational motive which points towards the belief that exchanges are "secure". In the Bitcoin ecosystem this is never true and most of you recognize the Bitcoin leitmotif: no keys control, no bitcoins.

But it's hard to be responsible and people prefer to rely on third parties. And then they blame hackers for those thefts. They will always have to blame themselves.

Where are news or info about the third phase supposed to be found? Can you please share anything? (the thread is damn long, 600 pages) I tried to search with no luck.
3769  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-08-29] Beware of Blockchain Hype Says Chain CEO on: August 31, 2016, 06:12:11 AM
You pointed out something which is clearly interesting. I completely agree with you regarding the Bitcoin point of view.
Concerning the matter we should not forget that Chain has been funded by VISA, Nasdaq, Capital One etc.
They had money that need to go somewhere and reach something: probably he knows that a blockchain without bitcoin won't work but he has to be as politically correct as possible.
3770  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-08-29] Beware of Blockchain Hype Says Chain CEO on: August 30, 2016, 12:46:20 PM
It’s supposed to be for money.
It’s strange to hear chief executives pour cold water on technologies that are at the heart of their own companies. Yet that’s what Adam Ludwin, who is the CEO of blockchain company Chain, did when I met with him this month.

The hype over blockchain—a new form of record keeping that relies on a shared digital ledger—is causing people to lose sight over what the technology is meant to do, according to Ludwin.

Ok that sounds clear. Thanks for the clarifications.
It's good you have been accepted by bittrex which is one of the crypto exchanges I use the most. I bought my first Silkcoin there in 2014

Good quote, I agree. That's what I am doing since I got into Bitcoin. As I said I set up a Diamond Wallet for my friend as well. He was shocked by how easy is to use cryptocoins and how fast they are at moving around.
3773  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: August 30, 2016, 06:38:15 AM
One may argue a lot but the Roman Empire fell for basically these three reasons altogether: overexpansion and military overspending (USA should be careful about that), economic troubles and overreliance on slave labor (this reminds the actual EU problems with immigration), last but not least Christianity started the demolish from the inside out.

Before Christianity was accepted Rome was bound to respect their rulers as gods. After that everything changed.

About pensions... I totally agree savetherainforest. My pension fund is in Bitcoin, I'm building it myself, I own the keys and I own my hard earned funds.
3774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 30, 2016, 06:24:38 AM
for me, italian serie a start and finish in 2 week, juventus can't lose this year, not have opponent.
Inter is really bad, roma and napoli have discontinuos game, milan not have buy player...

I dont see any improvement from milan despite that they are owned by a new chinese owner. Im not sure what this new owner is thinking but it seems to mw that he is not interestes to change milan into a better team but more of getting more profit from his ownership of milan, thats bad idea for business

Let's wait for Napoli they are not dead already and they seem to have found a very good replacement for Gonzalo Higuain. I think Napoli will do very well this year and Juventus can always do mistake since they are more focused on the European Champions League. Also don't forget those guys in defense are getting old.
3775  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Silk Network: Silk(SLK), DarkSilk(DSLK) and Weaver on: August 30, 2016, 06:21:52 AM
Two things from my side: a) why is the SILK POW reward set at zero? Mistake?
b) There will be 2 billion new slk as in the total supply: SILK and SLK will we swapped 1:1 but the first is around 49 million coins. Why is that?

As for the rest it seems an interesting project and you guys are putting your face on it which clearly means a lot.

3776  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-08-18] Blockchain Predictions for 2017; Identity, the Next Killer App? on: August 29, 2016, 05:58:37 PM
Such a system would also likely support user generation of ID credentials, which permits more than 1 ID per individual. I think I'd use an ID system like that, voluntarily (i.e. both accept and proffer credentials from such a system, as I see fit).

That's interesting: I imagine different layer associated to my ID. I'll try to explain.
Let's say for most common services I would only need a Level 1 ID, i.e. to show and prove that I am who I say I am.
Than a Level 2 for banking?
And so on.

In these case we're talking always about the same guy but with different level of recognition. This way I could accept it

Yes that's similar to how I see it, a separation of concerns.

Online shopping deliveries: No definitive ID, a Time Limited ID that can be verified against blockchained master ID without divulging any actual personal information. No name required, they just need to know you're the right person in this context, not in any other. No definitive address info needed IMO, street/town/city/zip system is an antiquated information designed for postmen on bicycles. LatLong is a much simpler, more reliable location system.

Loans or Hire Purchase: Definitive ID with it's credit history required. Higher prices for those without a credit history.

Internet Forums/Social Media Non-ephemeral proof-of-real-person required, with increasing requirements (i.e. proof, but not details, of residence or utility contracts) depending on how serious the trolling is for a given platform or sub-platform.

There are so many use-cases for such a system, as long as a wide enough range of proofs is available. (i.e. independent ways of proving aspects of your identity, e.g. name, age, place of birth etc)

Clear and sound but I imagine something like this will hardly be conceived by the current statu quo.
And a big yes on the fact that the ID system management is totally inadequate

to say the least.

After almost one month I finally minted a block worth 5 something DMD.

UPDATE:

Looking to get finalisation on the deal with at least one major exchange within the next 24/48 hours.

A smaller exchange has also approached us offering a marketplace for Silkcoin, Silk and DarkSilk.

Hi Spencer, can you give an update on the exchanges?

There will be an update later tonight.

Cool dude, looking forward to some clarity

Finally some news about an exchange that will include this project coins.
I wonder if that regards SILK (the old coin) or the new SLK and DRKSLK only. Can you please specify this?
Thanks

I've come home earlier for a last minute football bet on Serie A: I think there are some good suggestions for this week and I have thought to bet on the following games

Sampdoria - Atalanta Home or Draw
Sassuolo - Pescara Sassuolo wins
Torino - Bologna Both teams to score
Udinese - Empoli Under 3,5 goals

Sampdoria will get a big win.  I'm going to 3-0 to Sampdoria.
Udinese will win but just 1-0.

You are good with Sampdoria and I am sure they will win. But don't go for Udinese, I am with Empoli in this case and sure that they will take the match with 2 goals on their side, so watch out.

Guys Come On!!!
The games are over they played already! I posted my quote to show that I won the bet!
Stop spamming without reason!
