3761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice machine on: October 21, 2021, 04:22:00 PM
Dice have been one of my favorite gambling game and am thinking of installing a dicing machine in my home just for fun, my 17 years old son is good in playing computer games and am thinking of introducing him to gambling after all he is going to learn it whatever ways if I don't teach him how to handle gambling risk and avoid being addicted. The need to have a dicing machine at home becomes paramount and am wondering which dice machine I can go for?

What dice game do you mean exactly? Because there can be several of them, and the one that's played on crypto gambling sites can be not similar to that that you love to play. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's not the same game, because I can't imagine a physical "dice machine" for a game like this

Regarding telling your son about gambling risks, I think it's a good idea. Hardly anyone will explain it better to him than you, his father.

3762  Economy / Gambling / Re: There isn’t a poker room you could win at ? on: October 21, 2021, 10:09:54 AM
I don't recommend playing against the house. When playing online poker I just worry about them manipulating the game. I'm safer playing with real people.
Even if casino is honest as it possible, playing against the house is like the playing chess against machine. It always count and analyze your style but you can`t do it the same time or may be you have to play for really long time against the one house.

Do they really count something and analyze your style? I know that AI poker bots like Pluribus are doing this, but in reality it's far from being cheap, so I really doubt that it can be profitable for a gambling site to use such a bot.

You can win but i don`t sure that you will get fun from the game.

Yes, it's not that hard to beat a simple poker bot, and you are right, there's little fun in that, but that's because it's a simple bot. I can assure you that playing against DeepStack, or Pluribus, isn't boring at all. I'd love to play against one of them, but, unfortunately, for regular folks like me, it will be possible only in the future.

3765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: October 21, 2021, 09:24:55 AM
I was with a friend today who was in a hurry to place his bet on some numbers that were sent to him for some football matches that he believes are fixed. I'm a bit confused how fixed matches work.

Are fixed matches real? Do the coach and players of teams were matches have been fixed, do they consent to it? If you were in a team were your next fixture has been fixed, what will be your reaction?

Some low level games in some rural areas are fixed, that's for sure, and maybe those friends of your friend are sending him some "useful numbers", so to speak. And yeah, some money could be earned this way, but to me it's almost on the same level of dangerousness as a bank robbery. I mean, even if it's successful, most likely you'll end up very badly pretty soon.

It's actually a good thing, if your friend is just being scammed, like some people assumed in this thread. It's much worse if he's connected to people involved in match fixing.

3767  Economy / Economics / Re: A way to make money online? on: October 21, 2021, 08:14:32 AM
Cryptocurrency is one of the fastest ways to make money online.

Only if you have starting capital, knowledge or experience in trading or investing and luck. Without last two components, cryptocurrency is the fastest way to lose money.

Also dont forget that not much depends on you. Market is conducted by whales, news, people. Any investment can give huge profits instantly, or investor might wait for ages when the market trend chances to rising from downtrend.

I would say that cryptocurrency is the easiest way to make money online, as it offers lots of options to start earning a bit without experience. To build a first deposit. But best way to earn online is still freelance. But freelancer must be one of a kind a highly experienced.

Yeah, trading cryptos is like skill-based gambling: even if you are very good at it, you still need a pretty big bankroll to start earning. If your bankroll is not much bigger than what you are risking at once, you can quickly lose everything. Or, in case of luck, you can earn a lot, but this strategy is never a good idea.

Like others in this thread I would suggest to OP to find a job where his/her skills can be utilized. Trying to earn money in the fields you know little about is dangerous.

Being on the 44th place right now, I agree with any breakdown because my chances of finishing ITM are slim anyway.

On the bright side, I already more than doubled(on Sportsbet.io) what I paid for the participation. So, I have no regrets whatsoever.  Grin

$100k is a little overwhelming to be honest. By placing the bet in $70k - $80k range I was more like getting the price hit at $71k -$72k which is still achievable.
Bitcoin is already at $63k which is why I think $70k - $80k could have been one of the range I would bet on.
I will wait for a few more days though.

I just placed my bet on the "$65,001 - $70,000" range, because firstly there are great odds on freebitco.in for this range:

and secondly because, like you, I think Bitcoin will end up around $70k this month, only I think it will be a little bit below that point.

~ You are right that it is not interesting to buy the bonus (extra WOF spins per extra free roll) with your RP as the maximum a normal person will be able to claim is 12-14 times.

I disagree with this. What you can do is to buy 1 WoF spin per free roll for around 700 RPs.

And what is 700 RPs? It's nothing compared to the fun you get with additional WoF rolls. Yeah, I manage to make 14 rolls per day, max, and yet sometimes I win 3k+ RPs or satoshis, and, idk, it feels good.

If you are not aware of this, then I am sorry to break it to you Sad But you are guaranteed to lose all of your money depending on how long you play. That is literally what the house edge is there for. The difference is that you could start with 1 dollar, turn it into a million dollars and then quit, that would mean that you turned 1 dollar into 1 million dollars and got out. This is possible, and you can do that, BUT if you turn 1 dollars into 1 million dollars and then keep gambling then you will end up losing it all as well.

There is zero possibility that you could keep on gambling forever and not lose your money, it is mathematically impossible. ~

There is zero possibility that a construction, whether it's a bridge or a building, will last forever. Maybe some people would disagree with this, but not me. Smiley There's zero possibility that the Earth will last forever, and the Sun too. But how's this information can be helpful in our everyday lives? Not much. What's helpful is some info about probability of losing everything during our lifetime(with gambling), or several lifespans, with bridge or building.

And if you are saying that a gambler is guaranteed to lose all of his/her money eventually, if they gamble repeatedly, within their lifetime, then I strongly disagree with you.

3772  Economy / Gambling / Re: There isn’t a poker room you could win at ? on: October 20, 2021, 09:07:06 AM
~ Yes, in this you are absolutely right, the house will always have the advantage, when it comes to poker when I play I always do it in a very short time, it is for that reason that if you want to bet a lot of money, sometimes some players have the highest bets. they do at the beginning, it is a strategy they use but it is not a guarantee that you will win it 100%.

I would say even more: it's almost 100% that you'll lose all your money if you start playing high stakes or buy-ins, compared to your bankroll. It is considered that for beginners a good bankroll management strategy would be to have at least 50 buy-ins. Some sources suggest to have 100 buy-ins.

When you play PVP poker things change, there you enter another game mode that obviously you have a better chance of winning if you are good at strategy, in fact many people have great talent for poker and usually they always end up winning tournaments or between the top 10.

And even those people lose sometimes because partially poker depends on luck. That's why it's important to have many buy-ins(or big blinds, if you play cash games) to minimize the uncertainty.

Reading his experience about stake will make you conclude that he may possibly avoid it now.
But the good thing about it is his frozen withdrawal was resolved but it took days to get his money back.
But since he had done KYC already on that platform, and the team already know his account, he can still use it if he wants.
Or try those other sites mentioned, check if their support staff here is also active.
So if he needs help, he can easily reach out to the team about his problem.

This is a good suggestion! OP had some problems with withdrawing from Stake, but it happened because of miscommunication, and then all problems were solved and he successfully withdrew his money. Unless he was blocked form further using the site(which was hardly the case), he can continue use it because in fact Stake is a reliable betting platform with great sports betting section.

Honestly, I don't think these guys are in competition with each other for the title of world's richest person--especially Warren Buffett.  I am kind of surprised that Elon Musk is worth that much, but then again I don't really know much about him (yeah, I don't follow the news all that much).

Regarding the retaining of the title: If Musk is worth $23 billion, I don't think he'll have much trouble remaining the richest person on earth. ~

Man, I have to admit you scared me. Smiley Of course, it was a mistype from your end, you just missed a zero, because this is the latest estimation of Musk's worth

but for a fraction of a second, since I don't follow such news too, I was thinking that I didn't know his worth even approximately.

Then I started wondering was mentioning "$23 billion" by another member after your post a mistype too?

And then I checked the OP, and finally it all made sense

One zero was missed in the screenshot!  Grin

@betwrong after seeing your post I decided to purchase these rolls, but it shows they’re active but I didn’t get any email to click these additional WoF rolls?. Also when i click on the link given it leads me back on the homepage, so can you guide me so I too can access these rolls cause even I’m excited to win that Iphone.

This is not how it works. You don't receive any emails for the additional WoF spins.
After you purchased the spins, you are getting this string after each free roll:

Then you click on "1 WOF Spins", and you are redirected here

and you should click "PLAY ONE" (or probably you can collect them and play all at once, but I never do that), and you are on the WoF page where you can make the spin without solving captcha.

Good luck! Smiley
3777  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: *Day Traders* are now calling gambling Addiction helplines!! on: October 19, 2021, 09:40:11 AM
Guys, these stories are very similar to something like this: "I rolled 99.99 on a dice site the other day, but I bet with $0.001 only, and won 10 bucks. If I'd bet $30, which were on my balance at the time, I'd win almost $300k!"

See? That's why they say crytpo trading is very similar to gambling, and that's why some day traders are now calling those helplines. Be careful.
I would say that it is a lot similar than different, but it is not exactly the same neither. When you are gambling the house edge GUARANTEES that you are going to lose all of your money, it is literally guaranteed that the more you gamble the more you will lose and that is exactly why casino business is a great business because there is a guarantee that your casino will make a profit in the long term. Sure there are gamblers who win like that sometimes, but do you know what happens to those people in the end? They lose all of that money as well. I have seen someone who turned 300k into 6.5 million dollars in a few days and then lose that 300k and then another 300k on top of that in the long run.

Nope, that's not guaranteed, and if it were, no one would play in casinos, neither in land-based nor in online ones.

The only thing that is guaranteed, provided that many millions bets made, is that all the players altogether will lose something around the house edge to casino. That's how casinos stay afloat, not because they rip off all their customers of all their money.

~
The trading world is not like that and I would say that there is a good chance you could keep on making a profit for the long term and that is the great thing about trading, there is no guarantee to win but there is no guarantee to lose either.

Trading is not purely luck based, that's what I agree with. But there are partially skill-based games too.
3778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin Poker Rooms on: October 19, 2021, 08:54:34 AM
~Yes, it is preferable to play on sites that do not utilize real money and to acquaint oneself with the gameplay and mechanics of poker before participating. It's the ideal way to prepare for reality; in fact, games like this are an escape from reality; you can play better or worse without worrying about anything. It's unwise to risk anything without knowing what's going on, so use an app like this to re-acquaint yourself with everything, including bluffing to win the game.

That's what I think too, but I prefer the reality to simulations. Zynga Poker, as @Fortify said above, "it is some basic level practice", with which I totally agree. But if you want to play real poker, don't hang out there for too long. If you don't want to risk real money while being inexperienced, you can do it using free rolls. I myself played thousands of tournaments with prize pools ranging from $0.10 to $10. Yeah, sometimes you win only $0.02 when after 2+ hours playing you finish ITM, but that's real money. Poker without them isn't real poker, imo.
3779  Economy / Gambling / Re: There isn’t a poker room you could win at ? on: October 19, 2021, 08:15:57 AM
What did you mean by you lose to house? I guess Poker is played on a board with some other players. I haven’t seen poker playing with the house/dealer? I can't remember. Nevertheless, I have some doubts with the players though; I have lost few hands which was worst IMO though sometimes it happens. I mean it was hard to believe that I got unlucky in that few hands & for a moment it all looked like I lost to the dealer LOL.
^ Yeah, there is.
There are poker casinos that you can play the house, all you have to do is beat the dealer and there is no opponent that you can play.
The same concept of playing with poker that has a real player but you and the house were there and there is no other opponent. Nevertheless, I really like this game because the chances of winning were always there, but beating against the house is a very risky part, you don't know how to bluff a house and I think, fighting against the house is pure of luck and not about the skills.

To be honest, although I'm a big fan of pvp poker, I've never played against the dealer. But from what I saw on YouTube, I think you are right, this game is purely based on luck. It's not that I totally dismiss purely luck based games, no. I love to play slots, dice, crash and other games of this kind, I'm just not attracted to purely luck based poker, that's all.

Btw, I didn't think OP was talking about playing against dealer. I thought he meant that he was winning against other players, but his winnings were somehow eaten by the house in the end.
3780  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best Site for Gambling? on: October 18, 2021, 11:50:09 AM

Hello @CryptoLv, have you found the best gambling site ever.

You should try the gambling site said by: @Lanatsa, below.

You can test out;

Rollbit.com
Roobet.com
Fortunejack.com
Stake.com
Betcoin.ag
Primedice
Bustabit
Bustadice

Some of these gambling sites can make you feel at home and happy to play.

If you ask me personally, of course i suggest you do something fun in gambling, I will definitely consider Rollbit.com, Roobet.com, Fortunejack.com and Stake.com, they all have their own way of betting on all the games.

If I explain too long for the gambling sites I recommend, but you can try and decide from them one or two for you to bet on.
Just try it if you don't believe it, you will definitely like it.

I agree with @Lanatsa's list, and I would add CryptoGames and some other sites also, but it looks like OP is more into Sports betting, so, imo, the most important site that's missing there is Sportsbet.io. They have proven to be a reliable site for sports betting for years. OP, you should try it.
