3761  Economy / Speculation / Re: Third time is the charm, shorters failed yet another time on: August 16, 2021, 03:36:10 AM
@pooya87. There might be a fourth time hehe. There might also be many people that might say I am antagonizing again, however, the resistance near $50k is very strong. There is also a bearish divergence. This might imply another dump before it can pump, I reckon.

3762  Economy / Service Discussion / Crypto Lending Platform Partners With Construction Company on: August 16, 2021, 02:37:07 AM
I am not certain on the terms of this, however, this offer might be good to accept on December before the bursting of the bubble only if the market follows the previous cycles hehehe.

In any case, this is a good offer for holders who do not want to sell their coins for fiat. I speculate that cryptolending will be one of the biggest services in the cryptospace. Loans with illiquid but valuable assets similar to NFTs will be the next big market.

Homeowners Offered Crypto-Backed Loans to Finance Home Improvement Projects

Crypto-asset lending firm Pledge has joined forces with 247pro.com, a construction estimate and management platform, to offer cryptocurrency holders among homeowners quick access to home improvement loans they can take against their digital coins. The two companies have recently signed a partnership agreement.

3763  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-14-08] Elliptic discovers site that checks how "clean" digital coins are on: August 16, 2021, 01:55:19 AM
This can be used as an argument that criminal usage of bitcoin only at 1% of all transactions is wrong. I have always been skeptical of this. It appears the truth is showing that also blockchain analytics from Chainalysis and its counterparts might be scams. They scammed the government hehehe.
3764  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-08-10] AMC will accept bitcoin as payment for movie tickets by year end on: August 16, 2021, 12:40:20 AM
I predict ticket sales through bitcoin will be low or be very close to none. This is because much of the bitcoin holders buy bitcoin to hold and sell later on a much higher price similar to stocks and commodities. However, if people were given jobs that pay in bitcoin, I reckon it would be different because if salaries are paid in bitcoin, those people would have no choice but spend them hehehe.

I would agree with you that most part of the Bitcoin holders won't be buying movie tickets with their BTC these days. But "none"? - No.

AMC is a big chain with, let's take pre-pandemic figures, 1,226,966,715 tickets sold in 2019. I'm sure, among so many people there will be millions of Bitcoin holders, and thousands of them will buy those tickets, even maybe just to buy something with BTC, just like Laszlo Hanyecz did one day.

Hehe I might be exaggerating, however, yes there will be ticket sales in bitcoin but the bitcoiners’ purchase of them would be more for virtue signalling than buying for the movie ticket. It will be big news only in the beginning. I predict AMC will remove bitcoin acceptance within 5 years because of very few sales through bitcoin or they might try to increase sales through crypto by accepting altcoins hehehehe.
3765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 15, 2021, 06:13:57 AM
The heavy weight division is going to get stale if Gane cannot beat Ngannou. Ngannou has beaten everyone else in the top 10 and every other top 5 fighter has fought each other. I think we need some new blood any one know of prospects in the division which are fun to watch?

Uncle Dana has another fighter to hype against Francis Ngannou for 2022 after Gane. His name is Jon “Bones” Jones hehehe.

Also, Khabib is presenty starting a career in football, soccer for Americans hehehe. Sports news media is making the comparison with Michael Jordan when Jordan stopped playing basketball and began his baseball career during his first retirement in basketball.

It appears that Khabib Nurmagomedov has completed the transition into becoming Air Eagle and will be changing sports in his athletic prime, much like NBA icon Michael Jordan before him.

Late Friday Night, the Dagestan-based soccer team FC Legion Dynamo posted a photo on Instagram of Khabib apparently signing a contract to join their squad along with the following caption:

“A great battle awaits our Legion, for which we need great warriors. Getting ready to host the RPL team together with Khabib Nurmagomedov.”

3766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: August 15, 2021, 03:59:12 AM
I reckon if Casimero shows the same type of aggression from round 10 to round 12, he might still have a chance to win this through a split decision. Rigondeaux is only bouncing away from his opponent. However, Casimero must also avoid the counter punches.
3767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT games also another way to gamble your money? on: August 14, 2021, 07:45:46 AM
@harizen. I did not say it is gambling similar to betting money in a slot machine or dice, however, in starting a business or investing, if you take the risk therefore it is a gamble.

The risk you take is your own decision, high risk or low risk. They are a gamble unless the return is 100% a certainty.

In NFT games if you bought the NFT or the tokens of the game, are you quite certain that your investment will not lose? You might presently say yes because everything is pumping in this bull market, however, wait for the bear to pounce.
3768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are NFT games also another way to gamble your money? on: August 14, 2021, 06:42:11 AM
@harizen. However, the investment is not 100% certain to be profitable for you. Everyone might call something an investment but you are also taking some risk and therefore it is a gamble. Similar to opening a new business. You take the risk and loan some money from a bank against your collateral to start the business. This is a gamble and not very different from leveraged trading.
3769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 14, 2021, 06:09:59 AM
Ok here's one way Pacquiao is motivated as per Roach,

He said that Pacquiao is pissed out, because the title that he won against Thurman was handed to Ugas without due process, so he was stripped with that belt. So he might go for a knock out against Ugas here to claim that belt back. But I don't know if this is true though, we all know that Roach is the one hyping Manny's fight so take it with a grain of salt.

Agreed. This is clearly Roach hyping the fight to sell more pay per views. This business is very much similar to cryptocoin ICOs, where if there are more buys, there will be more in the pockets of everyone involved hehe. From the promoters to the fighters and also the team including the trainers.

According to this news which was published before the cancellation. Terrence Crawford wanted to fight the winner of Pacman vs. Spence after his fight vs. Shawn Porter. This is clearly clickbait because Crawford vs. Porter has not yet been negotiated. I hope this is true, however. Boxing fans need Crawford vs. Spence hehehe.

Terence Crawford vs Shawn Porter should happen before the end of 2021 and Crawford is already looking at his next opponent as he states he wants to fight the winner of Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr.

Source https://www.givemesport.com/1735622-terence-crawford-wants-to-fight-winner-of-manny-pacquiao-vs-errol-spence-jr

Crawford seemed to be so overconfident trying to underestimate the power of Porter, I am sure he has not fought anyone like Porter who is very aggressive and has a strong chin, if Porter was able to give Spence some problem, I think he can do the same on Crawford and could possibly beat him.

He is like a raging bull who always want for a kill, and he cannot be easily knockout as he is so strong.

I am quite certain that was also hyping himself when talking to the media to sell more pay per views for his own fight hehe. But he is one of the best welterweight boxers in the world and he might be arguably better than Errol Spence, I reckon.

3770  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-08-02] China's Digital Yuan vs Bitcoin on: August 14, 2021, 05:08:38 AM
@bbc.reporter

I would say yes, more or less, when I think about it. Look at 2021 compared to let's say 5 years ago. Bitcoin is on the road to be regulated across a lot of countries, in almost (again, more or less) the way traditional currencies or assets are.

See what I mean.
Indirectly we're "suffering" from regulations and laws. I exaggerate a bit but for me, these are constraints and not advantages for the crypto industry. Exchange platforms regulations, taxes laws for citizens, the KYC bullshit (even from some shops), licenses here and there for this and that. What else? So many things.
There is most of the time always a point in which there is something against the 'Bitcoin's ideology'.

Sure, there is always a way to go beyond that, but the ecosystem is still small on that side. I'm beginning to think that as the years go by, the 'Bitcoin dream' is just a utopia. if someone would have said to me years ago that Bitcoin will have laws and all that crap, I would have simply replied: LOL.

As for the digital currencies backed by the governments and central banks. I do hope with time people make the difference between DC and cryptocurrencies since I consider both different. Perhaps they both use blockchain tech and cryptography principles, but besides this point everything is different.

However, what problems would a CBDC solve? Can it replace physical currency? I reckon this would be difficult. Would it improve efficiency? There are efforts to improve efficiency already without CBDC. Will CBDC be an innovation for payments? No, there are also technologies created for that. Also, I am afraid the government will require KYC for CBDC to monitor you.

the Chinese will do whatever they will do. its bullshiit as we may think. you can say it's not an innovation but it certainly has control of what their government can/would do which is more important to the CCP than having a decentralized currency.

what you have to keep in mind is that it's JUST for them.
for the countries going to make transactions to the Chinese government will have to comply with their rules and this is also what will happen to them if the Chinese will make transactions to Japan or the US, the chinese government will have to comply with the US rules. sadly, they do have the advantage because it's a manufacturing country which most countries may have to comply with their rules.

Agreed, it might be just for them. However, if it does not solve a problem, if it cannot replace physical currency and if does not make payments more efficient than the present payment processors then what it might do is disrupt what is already good by attempting to replace it with something that does bring anything new to the table. I reckon it would be more harmful than helpful. Who will use it?

@ChiBitCTy. This is a newbie’s league. You are welcome to join, however, please do not make it more difficult for me hehehe.

In any case, everyone, what type of draft are we doing? Is this a superflex or whatever flex? I hope we can have the simplest and most standard draft available. I tried the mock draft again. It is still very confusing! I drafted 6 players with all similar bye weeks. This is bad right?

The NFL is cracking down big time on taunting, you won't get away with only 15-yard penalty anymore, for two violations, you'll be ejected from the game and face suspension  Shocked :

Quote
The NFL’s annual rule change and points of emphasis video notes game officials have been instructed to strictly enforce taunting rules in 2021,” Pelissero wrote in a tweet. “Two violations results in automatic ejection, with fines and even suspensions (!!) in play, too.

You can't clap, flex, or show any emotion after a big play now, which begs the question, why is the NFL doing this? In a somewhat still violent sport like football, you can sustain some serious/life-threatening injuries, yet the NFL is concerned about the players' emotions, lol this is ridiculous...as if the celebrations and harmless taunting is the problem with your game.

Honestly it's a little crazy.  I kind of lime the smack talking.  I mean some of it goes way overbored.  Don't like the team rehersed celebrations or anything bit if you are a wide receiver and get over on a corner or safety I like a little bit of the trash.  It gets teams heated and that's how rivalries are started.  They are going a little overboard on the celebration rules.

Is the NFL headed by white people of the far right? hehe I am not certain, however, for me it appears these rules on excessive celebrations is a move against blacks. They are those players who usually do the choreographed dances after a touchdown.
3776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best altcoins to hold during a bear market? on: August 12, 2021, 05:17:22 AM
Bear market is a great opportunity to invest, when bear market comes i only invest in some well known altcoins, it doesn't matter if it is new or old altcoins as long as it is proven and tested i will buy it and hold till bullish market back and sell them to get profit. There are some new altcoins that has a potential and there are also proven  and tested altcoins and they are now easier to pick because they are listed on some crypto currency tracking platforms.

The technique to make money in crypto is very simple, invest in bear market and sell in bull market. Actually, the number of investment here are huge, you can choose among different altcoins and just hold it for a while as when bitcoin dump, it will eventually recover and when that happen, altcoins will also follow the same trend.

Agreed! However, choose your altcoins very wisely. The list I provided of what cryptofunds have in their portfolios should help everyone choose and know that crypotfunds will be bagholding those coins with you hehehe. I reckon much of those projects in their portfolio would not rugpull investors.

@Daltonik. You really want us to laugh. You bumped this old topic instead of creating a new thread hehehehe.

In any case, VanEck’s clients must be demanding the asset manager to give them some exposure to bitcoin’s volatility. The pump must be very close hehehe. Also Tom Lee will be happy.

Also, yes they were not fired, however, I speculate that it might be a separation of mutual consent offered first by the exchanges.
Sure, but I speculate it is the other way around. He's not the first executive officer to resign from Binance, and he won't be the last. Although I can't find a source for these claims, various news articles are claiming things such as this:

Brian Brooks, the CEO of Binance US, is stepping down after only a few months on the job, citing a litany of compliance issues and regulatory investigations involving the crypto exchange’s sister firm.

We might never know the truth.

I speculate that those articles were written that way to save those people’s reputations and to show the truth that both parties did not do anything wrong with the other. It is a simple press release informing the public and to avoid controversy.
3779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 11, 2021, 03:29:58 AM
@bL4nkcode. Agreed, especially all of those fans who bought the payperview already. This is the boxing fans’ experience of a rugpull hehehe.

I speculate everyone on Spence’s side might be afraid that Pacman might make this a difficult fight that would make Spence appear weak. It would remove the hype on him.

@o_e_l_e_o. Why were they hired? Was it not because of their experience in government and their knowledge in maneuvering regulations and the political connections they created throughout their careers? Also, yes they were not fired, however, I speculate that it might be a separation of mutual consent offered first by the exchanges.
