I am just wondering if the $2000 mark is realistic for the next years... what is you opinion?
There is a possibility that bitcoin can break 2000$ and more. When I first get involved in bitcoin it was just 250$. At first I do not believe when I read people saying that it will reach 1000$ and more. But after the halving, everything start moving on the right way. If there were not any news that have caused set backs on price, we will be over 1000 by now, and not just a bubble but a strong 1000+ price moving to 1500. So 2000 is not just a dream but can be a reality. Maybe on or before the next halving we will be nearing that amount.

Did you ever gamble with other's money to pay your own debts or otherwise to solve a certain problem through gambling?
No and I will never do that for various reasons. Gambling cannot solve any problem. It can only make it worse. If you have financial problems and you gamble and lose, you have twice the money that you need than when you started. Or if you have other problems, and instead of solving it you focused on gambling, you ignored the problem but you never make it go away. If you have problems, solve it. And when you're done, you can gamble without any troubles. It is more enjoyable gambling when you have nothing in your mind but to enjoy.

Hi guys i just want to share my experience in gambling which is i am still playing since january but never made any profit with this game.. any other tricks settings and methods are already tried but still now never made any profits.. What you can suggest to me i will still continue to gamble in dice game with other methods or just stop gamble.. ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) you should quit already. You already realized that you are not winning in dice games, what is the use of continuing it. Find another type of gambling that can make you profitable if you cannot stop yourself from gambling. There are tons of other games out there like poker and sports betting. You have better odds winning on those games because you can use your skill to win.

I started getting involved in bitcoin in 2015 when the price is around 250. I heard about it before but I did not get interested in it yet. If I did, I could be rich by now. It got my attention when a colleague of mine mentioned it and said he is earning good amount of money doing signature campaigns and trading. So I tried it and got hooked when the price jumped from 250 to about 500. I'm loving it ever since.

This is for a personal writing project I'm working on. I imagine that Bitcoin would be good for things like teaching things like math with decimals ("How many Satoshis do you need to get a tenth of a Bitcoin?", stuff like that), budgeting (Spend it on whatever you want, but when it's gone, it's gone), or even a little bit of IT / programming stuff like how cryptography works. What do you guys think of this?
Cryptography is definitely being taught in IT courses. Atleast it has been taught in our class before. And bitcoin was not even created back then. So it does not have to be linked with bitcoin to teach cryptography in an IT class. I do not think it is useful for kids to be taught about how many satoshis there is in a bitcoin. It is worthless unless the kid is involve in bitcoin itself. Like it is worthless to study scientific names of chemicals and everything when I just want to be a race car driver or a mechanic.

It will slowly slide down over the rest of the weekend. People wait for what will happen on Monday in China - so they don't buy now. Then on Monday it'll drop some more - because the trend will weight down. I don't think it will make a lower low - but it is possible if there are indeed new bad news. Then on Tuesday it'll start bouncing back towards 1000 when people will start buying back. With lots of volatility.
Just a speculation.
What is going to happen in China on monday that will effect the price of bitcoin? And if it is going to drop, can it really bounce back that quick within one day? I do not know what will happen on monday but I do not think the price will drop more. It is quite holding steady at above 800. I think this our support level now.

Newbies are the ones who will sell when the price is going down. They have weak hands and they get easily scared. They'll think that bitcoin has become worthless and they will sell to save some of their investments. But what we really should do is hold or even buy more bitcoins when the price is dropping. Seasoned bitcoiners know this.

We are back where we left before the price started pumping before the end of 2016. Hopefully the FUD will mellow down and the price will start to move back up, just like what it was doing before it rocketed to 1000+.

It's coming, are you ready?
With bitcoin that is quite assured that there will be a bubble. The question is when will it happen?
|
|
|
You cannot blame yourself OP, bitcoin was very volatile back then and there are too many news or articles claiming bitcoin is just a scam. It is very risky investment back then. The good news is, you know better today. It is never too late to invest in bitcoin. Every now and then, there are dips and that is a good chance to buy bitcoin before it goes to the moon and never come back.

I think Friedrich Nietzsche said it best — 'And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the
music.'
We are dancing on the music of a ground breaking technology, also called : The Internet of Money and the rest of the Fiat slaves are not
hearing the music. Can we blame them for not dancing?
We should make them hear the music, and the only way to do this, will be to increase the volume. The volume on the exchanges and the
volume of merchants and the volume of Bitcoin ATM's and the volume of information on public social media.
-= Increase the volume, so that we can all dance together =-
There is no use adjusting the volume if they just consider it as noise. The best thing we can do is make them see how good and enjoyable we dance. Then maybe they consider the noise as something pleasant. Reflect into our lives the effects of bitcoin to us and maybe those near you can see the good effects of bitcoin to you. Slowly making them curious has good effect on others too.

I am more interested in knowing who is still spending time collecting bitcoin!! Faucets are all but defunct and there are ot alot of ways to earn free bitcoin any longer. I collect here and there, but I use what I earn for free on casinos just to have some fun!!
I think what he meant by collecting bitcoin is by earning or buying bitcoin and keeping it (holding). The question is just confusing because he is comparing it to having a job, in which he can do both(collecting and regular job) without any conflict. I still collect bitcoins from games and rounds, or give aways from facebook groups. It is still worth it when price fluctuates really high.

You are thinking a bit high, no? BTC hitted $1000 with some difficulty and some time later the price go down with all strenght. I can't assure this, but I think it's better to wait BTC hit $700 or $600 to start buying again to have total profit on medium-long term.
700 or 600 may not come, but 800 level is already here. It is already a good level to buy since the FUD about the exchanges in China is starting to calm down. You can leave some amount for that level but it is already safe to start buying some bitcoin right now.

That is 24% return in a week and is too high. It is just too good to be true.
OP is a newbie, no trust and does not show any proof to back his claims. I doubt anyone will just give away their hard earned money to a complete stranger just because they claim they are professionals and that they will give 24+ % weekly profit.

If it drops 100$, i'll buy. And if drops another 100$, i'll buy again. As long as it is dropping, I will buy. So, the final figure does not actually matter, after all, after the drop it will push back up again.
