More FUD. What evidence do you have for your implication that they're mining with customer ASIC units? Any at all? Nooooope. But don't let that get in the way of you posting your bullshit.
That's not what he's saying at all.
That was exactly what he was implying.  Are you really this obtuse?  Wait...don't answer that last question.   Roll Eyes

More name calling ? Good lord. I took that to read by the time network difficulty is 100M, BFL will be in a position to ship in volume, but perhaps I am obtuse.

That's not what he's saying at all. Welcome to my ignore list. Your contributions to this thread have now become nonsensical.

Objectivity is highly frowned upon by the majority of posters in this thread.

Dude... There's that glass house again, keep getting chipped away. Clearly you are being objective, right ?
3764  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 17, 2013, 05:14:42 PM
Your argument is rendered invalid, 'tard.

It's telling that you are resorting to name-calling now. You know who else resorts to name-calling when they are backed into a corner and their frustrations are running high ?
3765  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 17, 2013, 05:08:43 PM
Game. Set. Match.

Not yet. Patience.

You people really belong in an institution...

Now now Josh, what have I said in the past about you and glass houses...
3767  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 17, 2013, 04:59:22 PM
Since you're working on that whole 'self-improvement' thing, this might be a good jumping off point.

Thanks Josh. At least one of us is trying.
3768  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 17, 2013, 04:52:48 PM
That's because your posts ARE dumb, dude. You're an imbecile, in every sense of the word. You're intentionally obtuse. NOTHING will show you the error of your ways. You can't see the distinction between 'being frustrated' and 'being a troll'. Go figure that Josh also thinks you're an idiot. You ARE.

Josh ? Is that you talking about yourself in third person again ?

I mean, this is getting just scary now to watch.
3769  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 17, 2013, 04:46:37 PM
and worthy of nothing but scorn and contempt.
But keep digging, I guess...

Again, I need to disagree that my actions are worthy of scorn and contempt. I am merely reacting to stimulus.

using bureaucratic agencies to exact your vengeance.

Correction: Using bureaucratic agencies to shed light on a company that openly has contempt for it's customers, fires those customers after they've endured one delay after another, one broken promise after another, more taunting and unprofessionalism from an officer of the company - after calling them out on it in a public forum. This is not normal behavior to see from a product developer. I don't know what country you live in, or what other companies you have dealt with that treated you similarly, and think it's OK.

In retrospect, I should indeed have taken a refund sooner rather than having one forced on me. Captain Hindsight and so on and so forth.

Any chance you'll STFU about it now?

About as much chance of shutting up as a certain ASIC manufacturer does of shipping volume of product in a timely fashion.

3772  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 17, 2013, 04:16:12 PM
So who is the bigger douche here ?
You are.  Hands down.  Not even close.

Noted. Hey, I'll be the first to admit I can be an asshole, but I'm working on getting better.

Everyone has a breaking point, and I obviously hit mine with respect to this transaction.
3773  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 17, 2013, 03:55:04 PM
Woohoo ! Just got a $5k refund ! Drinks are on me !

3774  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 17, 2013, 03:38:49 PM
The point is the principle of the thing, if you act like a douche, companies may decide you're not worth doing business with. The names of the players involved is immaterial.

Well, lets be a little bit more accurate with that assessment.

Josh Zerlan / Inaba, their COO, was acting like a complete douche here on the forums.

I just called him on it, and obviously struck a strong nerve.

So who is the bigger douche here ?

Newtons third law can be a bitch sometimes Sad

I think that what Xian tried to do was encouraged people who have BFL orders to cancel and bump his order. After seeing a trickle of Jalapenos out of the assembly line to customers hands, he ordered more and doubled his efforts but the plan backfired. I've seen this kind of behavior before from people who were wait-listed/in queue.

I'm sorry, but this does not stand to any reason whatsoever considering my Single SC orders were day one and I had no interest in the Jalapeno line of products.
3776  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 17, 2013, 03:31:29 PM
$4,698.00 credited to my Paypal account, and moved out to my bank.

What an absolutely incredible ride. Bravo Butterfly Labs.

You know who I really feel bad for ? It's Jody Sad She's on the front line of all this, just doing as she's told.

Now... it's time to buy some popcorn with that refund money.

3777  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 17, 2013, 02:56:53 PM
I'd be offering a similar response if somebody had let their mouths run them out of Avalon or ASICMiner as well.

I can't think of any reason someone could get *THAT* frustrated with either Avalon or ASICMiner, seeing as how they delivered product months ago. Say what you will about Avalon Batch 2 and 3 delays, or the pricing of ASICMiners products, but they have clearly demonstrated that they can deliver.

Point is "nobody ran their mouths off to an extreme at Avalon or ASICMiner, because that level of frustration wasn't warranted."
3778  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL Forced "On Hold For Refund" for all my Single SC orders on: May 17, 2013, 12:58:02 PM
A day later and I'm still stunned. Hopefully will get refunded to Paypal today and put Butterfly Labs into my rear-view mirror.

Your list is pretty reasonable, PL. Instead of BFL being reasonable, they now have one pissed off former customer who is even angrier than before, and two formal consumer complaints against them with various government consumer protection agencies.

As tempting as it is to use some of my industry and media contacts ("Hey, know about Amy's Baking Company ? Boy do I have a similar tech-related story for you...") to shed way more public light on this insanity, I'm just not "that kinda guy". Yet.

This case should serve a chilling cautionary tale.

All I wanted was my BFL product and not be constantly lied to. Guess I expected too much.

He will. friedcat is the most reliable player in the ASIC space, by far. I'd trust him to watch my kids at this point.

Picked up 33 shares of ASICMINER-PT this evening. Have been watching them for a while, and the more I see coming out of Friedcat and the AsicMiner folk, the more solid they seem.

Really impressive stuff. Wish I got involved with them sooner.
3780  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 17, 2013, 05:59:58 AM
oh, and friedcat updated the main ASICMINER thread - the mass production of the USB miners should be done today, allowing them to begin testing and packaging. YAY!

So I'm guessing there is a slight possibility we'll have these in our grubby paws by next weekend huh ?  Shocked
