3761  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 44 countries will meet in El Salvador to discuss Bitcoin on: August 08, 2022, 02:01:04 PM
I saw my country in the list - Nigeria and I am happy, but it seems that it is mostly Africa countries or under developed countries that are on the list.

Least you get excited seeing your country on GXX lists, it just gives me a wry smile each time mine appears. Hand holding, back slapping, money to be made for them and not for their people. Bitcoin doesn't need the state to but Bitcoin and hold it, or give the people more handouts, they need the state to fix the structures from scratch and allow, not control, Bitcoin (which, really, believe me, is what G20, G44, G7, etc will always be about).
3762  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀-Sportsbet.io-🚀 - Main sponsor of Southampton FC 👋👋 on: August 08, 2022, 11:53:26 AM
Leicester, Liverpool lost quite a lot of us some tickets and all my freebets... shame on me for tagging both on to everything I had heh but anyone who had United, you should have known better ha!

@slaman29 You've scored a big upset there man, I couldn't have seen that coming... only bet I have riding in Ligue 1 is a Monaco title win just over 20/1.

Got Bournemouth v City at over 28/1 but no chance they'll slip after their performance in first game.

Has anyone tripped up Trofo yet on his analysis yet? Gonna have to be one hell of a bastard to do so!
3763  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to make new all-time-highs within 24 months: Coinshares CSO on: August 08, 2022, 10:47:35 AM
We are in July now, this means that bitcoin can hit all-time-time before July 2024. Is that possible?

No, it absolutely is not possible. Bitcoin won't be able to stay about $20k for more than 30 days before July 2024, and probably ever again. So no, it's not going to an ATH by then. You can take that all the way to the bank.

LOL, the broken clock has left the territory of being right.  It's really not brain surgery...  Bitcoin is on a 4 year cycle.  Every 4 years you should listen to proudhon.  For example, in November of 2013 proudhon would have given good advice.  In November of 2017 listening to proudhon would have been a good idea.  In November of 2021 listening to proudhon would have been a good idea.  I'm sure in November of 2025 proudhon will be right on the nose again.  However, basically everything he's said outside of those short time periods is just trolling.  Do the opposite of what he says for the next 24 months and it will be extremely profitable for you.

Yeah this guy knows what he's doing. Only problem is most people don't know he knows what he's doing.

I'm just surprised he hasn't gone even farther down the mile this time around, 20k's just barely 20% off the mark from where BTC is right now.

4 year cycle though, that still gonna be a thing?
3764  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: EFL English Championship League 2022/2023 on: August 08, 2022, 10:19:50 AM
Missed your second round, notblox1 -- but I'm missing in action for a bit more, probably might make it for Round 3 though.

Is ClubTalk Radio on Sportsbet also giving Championship some love?

If Watford win tonight, they'll be just 7 teams in the running for a perfect start to the season, but that'll probably be significantly better than Premier League who'll only have 8 teams max after Matchday 2!
3765  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 08, 2022, 08:40:57 AM
Anyone fancy Marseille losing later?
And I am expecting them and Monaco to be one of the top four contenders in the league.

Hope so about Monaco, they're my pick of the league outside of you-know-who.

You fancy a tilt from PSG in Champions League? Come join the predictor pool, one month left to start. And that goes for all of you posting in this thread who hasn't already joined. $7000 in sponsorship money, for a tiny $50+ fee. PM me if unsure, but the OP here explains everything: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5408229
3766  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are so many Derivative Exchanges are filling for Bankcruptcy ? on: August 08, 2022, 07:10:13 AM
Yeah, funny, isn't it? All these corporate types suits and ties, beating their chest about how they're paving the way for the future of money, decentralised finance, freedom and crypto, et cetera, when all they're really doing is adding new products to their old way of doing things. Under-collateralised gambles and networked guarantees, just piling on the dominoes atop the same old house of cards.

But as pointed out also, not everyone is guilty of bad risk management, it seems to be the newcomers (relative to being in business for decades) making those mistakes.
3767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: August 07, 2022, 03:36:51 PM
What? Only emrecemsan here mentioned Monaco? I got them on a funny singles to win the title this season, very pleased they got their win, might even start following them a bit more because my man Minamino is there now. He's got to be charged up also starring for Japan.

Anyone fancy Marseille losing later?
3768  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io Betting discussion thread rev on: August 07, 2022, 02:39:01 PM
Pretty much isolated in terms of any kind of betting for me right now. Did get some freebets so spent about 20 minutes just trying to get them all lined up, never mind try to find specials. Am enjoying my holidays now so not too upset, but I see Brighton leading with 10 minutes and they're on 2 of my tickets so that's good.

Can't wait to see the video of Radio + Trofo (that's live too right?)!!

Haaland to announce his arrival in EPL today? Or Moyes to be the special one? Heh.

Regarding the yellow cap, is it a freebet prize in every round or is it only for the highest cap throughout the season?
yellow cap prize is for each round, highest cap should be rewarded on the season end (not freebet, probably money spot additional to 20 spots)

Yeah, I think it's so far 18 spots, 20 if those who've committed will pay. Highest season cap gets any spillover prize from that (quote below is latest update)... just saw current leader actually managed to get SO many exact picks. I hate him haha.

Lets try to get 60 so we can have top 20. A couple of people have said they will pay so we should hit that. Any additional places will now just go towards a prize for the highest overall yellow cap (the highest weekly round score for those who haven't played before).

3771  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: August 07, 2022, 08:29:17 AM
I just made my predictions for goal scorers but it was not easy to do this in first round of Premier league.
This are my picks: Gabriel Jesus, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Harry Kane, Saint-Maximin, Hakin Ziyech, Marcus Rashford, Riyad Mahrez.
Crossing my fingers for $10k  Wink
Too bad the first player you pick are wrong, better luck next time to achieve $10K. However it's just very unpredictable as Jesus is the top scorers on Arsenal, while the two players that have scored today is not popular.

However it's interesting you pick Aleksandar Mitrovic e.g. Fulham striker rather than Liverpool's player.

We may see another goal from unpredictable player again.

Not really surprising though, that guy is a known poacher. Was Championship's player of the season, and he didn't do tooooo badly in EPL the season before that. Kane not on the scoresheet when Spurs knock in 4 is a bit of a misnomer, and Chelsea as always, impossible to predict who will get the goals (if they do get any).

No one likes Sterling? Wink
3772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betnomi.com ⚽️ Champions League Pool ⚽️ Discussion (Prize Fund 0.3 BTC) on: August 07, 2022, 07:10:56 AM
Well received, LTU_btc -- that brings the total to 7 paid participants, and 12 confirmed.

Come on guys, you're not skimping out on Champions League are you? Wink Spread the word, get some buzz going, and maybe we get a new season with better prizes!
3773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +82959 units on: August 07, 2022, 03:14:12 AM
Silly bet did not win, to be expected. But today we have a delectable game in both Manchesters. You all know the regular bet-against-City mantra, but I don't see why we can't put a highlight on today's United game.

100 units at Fairlay on Brighton to WIN vs Man Utd @6.45 is absolute bonkers value. Other odds: 5.90

Running advantage after 3 bets: +55
All-time cumulative: +83,104
Running units after 2 bets (1W|1L): +930 (-100)
3774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 07, 2022, 02:58:06 AM
One more point. I did gamble on the first match day last season on brentford to win their first game, incidentally against Arsenal who also opens the season. If I were not a Liverpool supporter I would take Fulham any day. Value odds!

West Ham over 8/1 and Brighton over 5/1 also feel value to me wink nudge.

Wtf?  Take Fulham to win against Liverpool?  You're not just saying that to get the pool noobs to pick Fulham to win, are you?  Lolol.

It's a long shot but I get how maybe West Ham could win at home.  And this is the genius Moyes..  A guy who could out fox even the great Guardiola.  But United to lose at home in the first league match of the season?  And against Brighton?  I mean maybe but Brighton would have to be more than what they were last season.

Told you, value bet on Fulham. Handicap Fulham was something like 14/1 at some point pre-match. Happy money to be made if you think about it, no one saw this result coming, and Mitrovic is a see saw guy, he'll ruin it for teams like Liverpool the way Pukki almost ruined it for Citeh 3/4 seasons ago.

Brighton and West Ham are my outlays today, ML, and why not, right? Wink

Who else disappointed by Villa? =(
3775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: August 06, 2022, 07:46:21 AM
France will do even better without Pogba. what if Pogba after the therapy he opted for gets more complications or France gets knocked out in the group stage and the  (meniscus) injury gets even worst what will be his fate. He has many years to participate in the world cup. He needs to go for the surgery. By the way France has lots of substitute for him. France isn't lacking players
France may not be what you expect because the main key of France is in Pogba and so far their game without Pogba is still ineffective and without the presence of Pogba on the field it will make many teams from France confused in determining the direction of the game even though they have a lot of substitute players. for pogba.
I still wonder why most people see a country's game still depends on one player. While it's true that he is an influential player, they don't seem to trust the existing players to take his place. Even without Pogba, France still has a line of players ready to replace him. Now I believe even without Pogba France can perform well.

Maybe I am guilty of that too. For smaller nations like Iceland or even Norway, we all see hopes of the country rest on the strikers' shoulders. But even watching from young, say for France, it always seemed to hinge on one key player despite the obvious talents of the rest.

Zidane, Deschamps, come to mind but hell even Giroud was called upon in past campaigns when the stars like Mbappe misfire. Leaders, rather than talents, I guess, make the difference.
3776  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Portuguese Banks Stop the use of Cryptos (Bitcoin) on: August 06, 2022, 05:12:45 AM
Just spoke to a guy in Portugal. Says no difference for him but it could be that these things take time to show their impact.

Just like any other rando news to come out, clarity will come, with time, but doubt crypto earning freelancers and remote workers need to worry.
3777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 06, 2022, 03:24:55 AM
KTChampions yeah, it was really dumb of me to do that in the early seasons. Especially against City all the time. Pointless also to try go for exacts as Slam point make a huge difference.

Even against Arsenal and United last season I hardly predicted against them even when the results kept piling on badly. It seems wiser in the pools to stick with Quality, Gorm (how they play rather than how they fare). And not hoping for upsets all the time for no reason. Value odds betting should not be mistaken for upset probability.
3778  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin bull run 'getting interesting' as BTC price hits 6-week high on: August 06, 2022, 02:23:23 AM
^ Yeah. I am encouraged by the way Bitcoin has somehow found a way to retain these levels amid intense macro pressures but volume is to me what really convinces me. And until that tide turns, I would be more wary than optimistic about 2022. Just too thin across the board to present a resistance if and when the wind picks up.

Oh man I totally forgot about MajSev! Probably going to miss the second round as well, unless I find a way to access. GL to you guys playing. Remember we hit the big one on Matchday 1 last season.

You all got Martinelli right?
