3781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this the right time to invest in Stellar (XLM) in short term? on: March 07, 2020, 08:41:47 AM
Many experts say that XLM is good to have revenue for a long period of time. They speculate from their long term forecast that XLM was a good potential for investing in the long term. I think you are wrong if you are intended this for short term purposes. This is not a hype coin that you will earn in a short period of time.

Some of my friends have XML on their portfolio by joining airdrop before. Until now they keep holding on it because they believed that this coin have a potential to hold in a long term investment. So, OP, it's better to keep hold and wait until we will see your profit was there.
3782  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New Charts for Technical Analysis on: March 07, 2020, 07:57:52 AM
But is that free? Like there is no limitation using it?
I think that is not free service because upon trying to visit the site, it says I need to subscribe to the premium to use the filter. So, it's totally paid service. Hopefully, there is a free trial even just an hour of reading the price chart and probably OP gives an update about this. I like it too because this indicator is easy to understand no more lines interrupt upon reading the indicator.

Technical analysis(TA) is very important in trading but other's problems are dont know how to use indicators. Because it is very hard to understand for them reading a chart. I think this one will be the answer, it's very simple and clean to read.
3783  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leave crypto trading in lost condition is not an option. on: March 07, 2020, 07:35:33 AM
Leaving is not the only solution if they believe that trading will give profit but the skills they had are not enough to execute in trading. Instead of leaving, they will take a break for a while and have a full stock of knowledge regarding trading and then when they come back at least they are prepared very well.

In trading, newcomers will always consider as a loser but after several losses, they learned on it and become an expert. So, if you decided to quit then you might have a forever loss. I may suggest as new traders, do a long term trading. Day trading is a very crucial and risky part, you should know the consequences that may occur.
3784  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [WARNING]FAKE BLOCKCHAIN APP SUPPORT AND PHISHING WEBSITE on: March 07, 2020, 06:25:17 AM
Thanks for the head ups I also reported this phishing site to the link given by @Husna QA.

This message you received is from your spam email inbox?
For me, I usually ignored messages on my spam box or never respond because usually, scammers can spam messages there. Probably those emails contain phishing sites like this.

I may suggest changing another email address is the best solution to avoid possible scams.
3785  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin ready for world wide 1 currency? on: March 06, 2020, 10:43:13 PM
IMO and TBH, I don't see Bitcoin will become a worldwide currency. But yes, it will remain the number one virtual currency and the best alternative way of fiat. If you were afraid to be infected with this epidemic decease (the NCov) by using physical fiat, there are too many ways you can use fiat without handling it.

As of now, I don't see people use Bitcoin for payment purposes, they treat this as an asset or an investment and hold for a long period of time. Therefore, it might be not now but who knows in the future.
3786  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking to Hire Crypto Trader on: March 06, 2020, 10:14:51 PM
Just friendly advice of hiring random people on the internet just to work with you is not advisable. But still, the decision is yours because that is your money that will put in risk. As what they say above be careful about newbies that impersonating as a pro one just to earn easy money and I don't think expert traders will have time to offer their service.

Have you heard the E-toro exchange platform? Beginners/Newbies can copy trades of more experienced traders. You can choose the highest profitable traders and copy their previous work and In that way, no need to hire someone just to work for you which is a risky part on your side. But it won't give you an accurate result of earning money the same as hiring someone, no one can predict the movement of the crypto market.
3787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most durable paper/material for Bitcoin paper wallets? on: March 06, 2020, 09:52:50 PM
snip-
.. but I've heard that laser printers have better quality.
You're right, if you are looking for a good alternate of paper in paper Bitcoin wallet you can use any metal that do you want. Of course, inkjet will not work on metal so it's better to use laser printers. Probably for the easiest to work by laser you can use alloy metal it is not much hard compared to other metals. It will be engraved the QR code and text information that must be read even for long term purposes without worried about being wet and easily break because it is fireproof and waterproof. It will all work if you have laser printing.
3788  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which wallet for a long term storage? on: March 06, 2020, 12:10:29 PM
A paper wallet is a safe Bitcoin wallet for storing your Bitcoin in the long term purpose but always remember that this has a crucial step especially if you dont know how to make and use. You can create multiple copies to have a backup seed phrase, in your wallet, drawer or money vault. Make sure you will use the correct open-source paper wallet site, ( https://www.bitaddress.org/bitaddress.org ).

Try to watch this old tutorial YouTube video but still very helpful content about making a paper wallet ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I1uefzJJ6nM ) But if you don't really have an idea (as I say, very crucial steps) just choose hardware wallet as most likely suggestion above.
3789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stack Sats Calculator - How much bitcoin you would have if you keep saving sats! on: March 06, 2020, 11:05:26 AM
That is good stats but I won't agree on buying Bitcoin per day just like $3 and after 5 years you will have a car.
Instead of per day why not you dont do this buying speculation, Monday Is the Best Day to Buy Bitcoin? or Buy every dip!. And in this case, I agree with pooya87's said. You will save the fee cost in everyday buying.

Anyway, this will motivate us to save sats for a better future. To have a goal in a better life in the future just like a retirement fund that you had.
3790  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [Moneybees] New virtual currency exchange sa Pilipinas on: March 05, 2020, 09:38:28 AM

3791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a Safe Haven Asset? on: March 03, 2020, 03:28:17 PM
People dont know about technical knowledge is always asking like this. Bitcoin is a safe asset, Bitcoin is good for investment and etc. There are too many questions that bothering their mind because the truth they didn't know how Bitcoin will work and what is the function of this as a virtual currency.

First, know everything about Bitcoin and you didn't ask a question like this. Understand the risk and the market movement will give you an accurate answer to your questions.
3792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Reputation at stake will you stop gambling on: March 03, 2020, 03:05:35 PM
Most politician does not show what people does not really like to see of them.
Not only politicians but also those actresses and actors are some of them hiding when they want to gamble just for the sake of what reputation they had. But for me, I want to be true. I dont want to hide just because of what position I had.

But I will reduce the activeness in gambling if I have a serious job or something position that I want to keep my reputation clean.
People had a different way of where they want and make them happy. I don't see gambling as a threat to your reputation as long as you are not addicted to it.
3793  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Drops $1,600 Amidst Global Uncertainty. What's next for BTC? on: March 03, 2020, 02:47:22 PM
snip-
I don't think that coronavirus affect the bitcoin price, but it is affected by all countries which every government is still searching more about the virus.
I don't know if Bitcoin price has a correlated with the said epidemic, I dont understand of blaming this NCov to the virtual price movement. It has too far from the traditional market and the virtual market it won't have an effect.

What next for BTC? It will always be the same and there's nothing that will change. Only the price will change either up or down and that it the nature of Bitcoin due to volatility. One thing that I'm sure it will continue to raise up the Bitcoin price even though there's a correction to the price but it will always end up to the highest value.
3794  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If we have great ability, is capital from bank loans safe for us to use trade? on: March 03, 2020, 01:42:59 PM
It is not safe. You're not 100% sure that you will earn in trading in order to pay your loan. Loans do have interest and you'll not gonna like seeing it growing because you have no money to pay for it. For now it is OK to use small capital. At least he can still afford to lose some small capital. As what you have said he manage to make profit, then make that small capital grow.
Tend to agree with this, borrowing money with someone else or even in the bank is a very risky part because you don't know if you will earn a profit or lose. Start with a big capital in trading is a good idea but when it comes borrowing on it just to have capital isn't a good idea anymore. Because trading for me is just like gambling, you didn't know it will give accurate profit. That's why I prefer capital that I can afford whether win or loss at least that's come from my own pocket.

The possible outcome or consequences is probably double jeopardy.
3795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and scaling on: March 02, 2020, 10:10:03 AM
We all know that the Bitcoin core is only capable of processing most like 7 - 5 transactions per second. Having another layer to the blockchain and enabling the users to create payment channels is really a good one. However, it is nearly impossible for the bitcoin to collapse because of the scaling and fees. It's just that, we cannot do anything with the fees. It really is needed to at least sustain the operation. There is a Lightning Network that capable of micropayment. Scaling is a must even in Banks though. Just IMO.
3796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can porn sites make bitcoin more popular or will it brings negative effects? on: March 02, 2020, 06:37:51 AM
AFAIK a big platform like Chaturbate accepts bitcoin payments via Coinpayments.
Chaturbate is the number one of the list out of those 33 Porn Sites Accepting BTCs. This business sector was going widely now and there are more people keep using Bitcoin as a payment for better privacy purposes.

I didn't see any negative impact because that doesn't involve any crime relate issues. I agree with Coolcryptovator that using fiat currency has no impact, how much more on using Bitcoin might the same situation as well to fiat. But this isn't. Choosing Bitcoin as payment is good for your privacy and I think that was most people like and again, there's no negative impact with that.
3797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Protect your cryptocurrency, only means, protect your account. on: March 02, 2020, 06:16:24 AM
I think Beginner's and Help is an appropriate board about this kind of thread. This topic has been quite very common and it has been discussed so many times when it comes to the security protection of your investment.

These links that might help you(them) that related to this topic according to the number you've stated

1. There are a lot of them but only these are correlate to this topic.

2. I dont think as of now that 2FA for adding an extra layer for security is more safe and reliable after seeing this post

3. & 4. Are the same.

3798  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: How seed phrase can be hijacked? on: March 02, 2020, 04:19:31 AM
I don't believe Electrum is easy to highjack the seed phrase if your friend downloaded a correct one. Have you tried to ask your friend what exactly happen? Because I almost being hack before when I received a message that looks like coming from the official message of Electrum claiming that I need to update with the latest version. That happened when I make sending a transaction and the message sudden popup.

That I suspected that your friend received a message that comes from a phishing attack that explained it here by theymos. And make sure that your friend has used this correct link upon downloading or updating it into a new version ( https://electrum.org/#download ) the Electrum.

3799  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Wala gaanong posts. Ano kaya dahilan? on: March 02, 2020, 03:26:37 AM
Bawat is sa atin meron ibat-ibang dahilan kaya matumal ang nagpopost na kabayan natin dito sa ating local board. Not just because they are afraid of being ban. As we can see isa lang ang maaring dahilan, yun ay ang signature campaign na sinasalihan nila(not counted ang local poster). For sure yung iba naghahanap din ng mga magandang topic na r'replyan, just because some replies are the redundant one.

Kahapon ko lang din nalalaman na si SRF10 pala ay isang pinoy through this reply, all I know that user is a foreigner. We respect those others' decisions na hindi active sa local because that what they want.

Yes, I admitted it na bihira nalang din ako magpopost dito pero everyday ako bumisita sa local board natin.

Payong kaibigan lang po pero this thread does not belong in here altcoin section sub-board. You can move this on the Pilipinas board.
3800  Economy / Exchanges / Re: A new virus is attacking Google 2FA app on: March 01, 2020, 03:24:27 PM
Honestly, this virus isn't a new story in the industry. Cerberus Android Malware is already been here since the month of June 2019.

The virus was being rented out in the black market last year. It caught the attention of the cyber authorities since then. I heard this malware is originally from Russia. It was also inspired by the malware called Anubis. Maybe they are related to this ransomware and maybe with the same developer.

If you really want a good security, you might try Authy as the alternative. Authy has encrypted backups you can take advantage of. IMO
