3781  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - UFC Official Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: March 13, 2021, 08:55:26 AM
There is no "just vip players" but Stake has always made it clear that they do not want smaller level players, that was not a hidden thing all the way back to primedice times as well, way before stake was even created, that is just how it worked.

They have always made improvements that would make low level players not prefer here. That is a shame because they started as the most low level friendly place ever, in fact they were so friendly that they gave a decent sized faucet to low level players to gamble which people abused, don't know about stake but primedice was abused for being too friendly to low level players, that is how much they were caring for them, now they are just basically at a level where if tomorrow stake says "minimum withdrawal is 1000 dollars or 10k+ wagered for no minimum withdrawal" type of deal to keep small gamblers away, I wouldn't be shocked.
I understand the complaint about the fact that rich folks are getting a lot more things than normal people, even if you are not bronze you could gamble normally here and you will not get much, but at least it is fair, well it is fair to gamble on the stake games, other games that they added may not be fair we do not know that, but complaining about rich people makes no sense since they are the ones that make the most profit for casinos, so obviously they are taken care of a lot better.

What would you do if you were a business owner, there is a customer that makes you 100 bucks per month and another that makes you 100k per month, would you give them the same support? If you do that there is a chance 100k can walk away, so you risk letting 100 bucks one be hurt by how much greater support for 100k is because that's the one that pays your bills in the end.
3782  Economy / Gambling / Re: Chips.gg |🎰 New UI | New Currency BNB on: March 12, 2021, 05:14:44 PM
It is interesting to see that there is going to be something brand new, they do not talk about just that picture, picture is a mystery that they said we should try to figure out and that's fine but the reality is that they are rebranding and basically going to a whole new update or upgrade whatever you want to call it. That means we are going to see a lot more changes then just a mascot, sure that picture could be a new one, like a logo type deal with a monopoly looking guy, who knows?

But my question is with the changes, what kind of changes, games? More games? Or coins? Maybe add more coins? What is changing? House edge? I mean there are so many things that a casino can change or add or remove that I do not know what's going to be the change, I can't even guess because I have like a million of them, hence it is not like really guessing but just listing all possibilities instead. I hope it is some major great thing.
3783  Economy / Economics / Re: Big test for Bitcoin during the next Economic Collapse. on: March 12, 2021, 03:47:02 PM
Around 2018 bitcoin started to crash and got very low early in 2020. During this time was the respiratory awareness time and shortly after countries started closing up for business then bitcoin started an increase. I think covid-19 rather helped bitcoin to increase and just like you said, institutional investors started avoiding fiat and using bitcoin.
I do agree that it didn't see a crash like 2018 but we can't disagree that bitcoin dropped a lot last year around these times, we are now 10x higher that is great and I do not think that anything has gone up 10x in the past 1 year if you look at it from march 2020 to march 2021, but it is still a fact that we were around 9k and dropped under 4k for a short period (few hours) and were around 5k to 6k for a whole month until it started to get to 10k again but it still had a decent level crash that was around 50% or so for a while in march.

The good thing about it is that crash didn't take as much as other things, and gold is not doing great right now, and dollar is getting less and less valuable, and stocks are increasing like crazy but not 10x like we did, so things are a bit complicated a bit. I personally believe bitcoin faced this crisis amazingly but that doesn't change the fact that we have seen a crash.
3784  Economy / Economics / Re: Pricing in Dollar - Pricing in Bitcoin on: March 12, 2021, 11:48:31 AM
We are all certain that the Dollar and other FIAT are going to crash in the near future
or after we get to grips with this pandemic and financial aid ends. When this happens
we wont be pricing Bitcoin in Dollars.

What will we be using, Chinese Yuan?

or will we be pricing everything in Bitcoin?
Yes where I live we price Bitcoin in dollars, though there is how they really calculate it; first of all of you’re selling it P2P they will ask you how much the coins you’re selling is worth in dollars, and let’s say for example the coins are worth $100, they will then tell you how much they are buying or selling in dollars per our currency, and if you agree to the rate per dollar, then they will do business with you. That’s how it works.

I don’t know how you put it your own country, but that’s how we do it here, we don’t price with any other currencies. And as for what you have said about fiat crashing in future, I don’t think anything as such will happen to the extent that fiats will stop existing.
3785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best gambling site for esport? on: March 12, 2021, 09:15:50 AM
Definitely do not use 1xbit - they have a really bad reputation on the forums for a reason.
Yeah and avoid all of the sites listed in this thread actually along with 1xbit - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5283832.0

I would recommend trying gg.bet as they have the best odds most often but they do not accept crypto yet.

Nowadays there are many sites who offer E-sports. I do not think there is a good one. Since this is just an element of a sportsbook. I think you should just check the reputation for a bookmaker and look for the limits for example. E-sports is popular. Lot of money will be involved. Maybe there are some sites who only focus on E-sports.
GG.bet and loot.bet are such betting sites that only focus on providing odds for e-sports.

Checking the reputation of the site you play is important and the best way is to check their thread here at bitcointalk and if they have some active negative trust, then better to have a closer look and if everyone is against them like 1xbit, everyone hates them, then just avoid playing there.
3786  Economy / Speculation / Re: Predicts $100k before end of the year on: March 12, 2021, 08:09:51 AM
We are still on the first quarter of the year so I think that there are more things that will happen along the way and with the current growth of bitcoin, I think that we can see that 100k USD is a possibility but we don't need to hang on to that speculation because in the end it is a speculation and speculations can go wrong, don't do anything stupid that you might regret when something that isn't in your control affects you negatively.
Speculations are the only thing we can do when we are talking about the future, not like we know what the price will be, that is why I think it is quite obvious that we are not going to end up with whatever price we say we will reach, doesn't matter what that it is because we do not know what the price will be so we are making it up, if we are lucky it may hit but not because we knew it, it would be because we are lucky.

So, say it will be 100k, say it will be 60k say it stay 50k, say that it will be 30k or say it will be under 10k, none of that matters because all of that is speculation and that is why no matter what you say it will be called speculation because that is the meaning of speculation. I do agree that we will be 100k because that is realistic considering we are already at 50k and we have so much of the year left right now and it can easily 2x until the end.
3787  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC is over $54,000, hold or sell? on: March 11, 2021, 06:09:44 PM
It's up to you to decide, no one will tell you to sell your bitcoin at $X price. If you really have Bitcoin then you must know about your target. Because everyone has their own target, I will sell my bitcoin if that bitcoin goes to $X price. So it is important for traders like you to set targets in advance.

And there are many hodler like me who are not so tense about selling their bitcoin, because our target has not been crushed yet. Smiley So I will think about selling my bitcoin later. Hodl.
I had a target, to sell at 13k and I am still holding lol. Sometimes targets are passed like crazy, so it is always nice to have dynamic targets, for example if you target is to reach 100k and "sell" do not sell as soon as it reaches 100k, just put a stop loss at 100k and if it drops there you will sell it and you still be selling at 100k anyway.

That is what I did, I waited for price to move above 13k, it skyrocketed way above 13k, and I put a stop loss on 13k if it drops, and it never dropped, I changed it to 20k recently and I am not going to sell mine until it is 20k or I have enough to retire and I think that is not going to happen anytime soon, which is why I believe I will hold bitcoin for at least another 10 years if it never reaches 20k levels.

Anyone can do whatever they want, maybe you want to buy a car? Maybe a house? Whoever wants to sell at whatever price they are free to do that.
3788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to invest in BNB now? on: March 11, 2021, 05:59:11 PM
the possibility could indeed happen. but there are other possibilities as well. it could be that BNB would actually strengthen if the popularity and adoption of the BSC increased. even though bitcoin is in decline we have seen how BNB still gets its pump moment like last 2019.
I do agree that there is a big chance that BNB could go higher, that seems like the biggest possibility right now, and I think it would be something to really behold because BNB is doing better than ETH during this defi craze, it has gone up a lot, nearly 10x already in the recent few months, so it is not going up any faster and giving a break but I am 100% sure that we are going to end up with a lot more profit later on, think about it this way if there are 10x more bnb spent on BSC, shouldn't that mean there is also a bigger increase for BNB itself as well?

That is what we are going to see for sure, that is what we will live very soon because defi craze is not stopping any time soon and everyday people are spending millions of dollars on defi again and again, and interestingly they do not get out neither, with the money they make they respond it on other things.
3789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Its a bull trap now on: March 11, 2021, 02:49:33 PM
It's already been 5 days since the OP and it doesn't look like a bull trap. A bull trap mostly is a sudden spike in price that last for a few days before ultimately crashing. But the prices has gradually increased over the 5 days and it shows that there are enough people and funds to buy for all the people wanting to sell. It doesn't necessarily suggest any price movement but in my experience, such sideways movement doesn't lead to a sudden crash.
Of course it wasn't a bull trap, people who think that they know what is going to happen in the market are always wrong in the end, they could be right one or two times, they could be right few more times, but they will always be wrong overall because market does whatever market wants and not what the charts say. In the end we are in a world where crypto traders will do crazy stuff that you least expect and that is why it is always a bit risky to keep listening to anyone that tells you it will go down, since it is a good long term investment, just buy it and hold it and you will either profit now or later but you will profit.

There is also underlying problem of people who care about bitcoin price dropping because they don't have any and they want it to go down so that they can buy and it could go up after they join from lower end, that is another problem the market has with these people.
3790  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t Panic III on: March 10, 2021, 07:27:43 PM
What happen way back 2018 is pure bubble since there's no strong foundation or adoption to rely on but things became different by this year so I doubt we can experience that the same  dilemma since big players are now in the industry we have so many things to hold on so if those big players are still intact on crypto's we can say that this current growth will continue and there's nothing to worry about those dumps since nowadays its so normal.
That's true, it is not like today, it wasn't anywhere close to this situation and that is why I think we care about what is going on this much, it is obvious that we can't really make it work without those huge companies these days, but the reality is that they can't keep buying constantly to get richer without dropping a bit and buying from there neither.

So, right now we are in a situation that is nowhere near that 2018 level, we are in a situation that is brand new, we are living in a period where we may never fall down again as long as these huge companies make that profit back and keep buying and thinking it's good. Plus I have realized that the more money you have, the easier it gets to make money as well because you can actually make sensible amount of money, people with 100 dollars could make 5x of their money and it would still be just 500 whereas these companies make billions, that is a lot of money even for them.
3791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 259 - Predictions & discussion to matches w/odds added from different source on: March 10, 2021, 05:40:05 PM
I watched Eddie's Stream (co-owner of Stake and the Official betting partner of the UFC) today and he placed a bet on Israel Adesanya to win with a knockout in the first round. I think I am going to do the same, even though I know it is going to be a big call against Mr Strong jaw.  Grin
It was really bad for stake that Adesanya lost because they had him as brand ambassador recently and the guy was undefeated until then.  I am sure though he will come back strong in his actual weight class so not a big worry but it hurts to see an undefeated streak being broken now.

Eddie and stake even offered 3 times the winning if Adesanya wins before the timer and not sure if stake is happy because they must have won a lot of money from bettors or upset because their recent signing of Adesanya didn't go as planned.

I hope Israel is quick enough to dodge the power and to find a way through to bring him down early... if the fight goes on too long, he might get lucky and he might get Israel on the ground and use his power to tap him out. (well that is my prediction)  Roll Eyes
Well, it's easy to say in hindsight but I always doubted the size problem which was evident in the fight and the defense from Blachowicz was unbelievable and even Adesanya commended it after the fight in the conference.

I hope not many guys lost their money because the 3 times winnings were just too lucrative to let go. On a side note, good to see stake still standing with Adesanya despite his loss.
3792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake.com announces Israel Adesanya as their Global branded ambassador on: March 10, 2021, 05:09:43 PM
He still deserves to be an ambassador and his worth as an ambassador hasn't changed, it's not the end of the road for Adesanya, he is still a champion and still the best middleweight champion, I don't see anyone in UFC who can give Adesanya a decent match in the middleweight, congratulation to Jan Blanckowicz, it's a great win and a dominant one.
I agree and he should not move to another weight division, it was a good attempt and the fight was close, it's not like he got dominated by Błachowicz. He is still going to be a big favorite for anyone in his original weight division.

Objective view from a guy who never knew either guy, I think Israel's as good as any when it comes to character and personality, plus a games/brand ambassador always has to have the right fit. I'm sure they spoke to him long before they signed him, and if they clicked, then it's on!
Stake even offered thrice winnings if Adesanya wins early and I can't imagine how many guys must have lost because he lost the fight and because of the lucrative 3x offer I am sure almost everyone would have bet on Adesanya at stake. It feels bad to hire a guy and he loses his first fight just after you hired him but stake must have profited a lot from the gamblers as big bets must have been placed on Adesanya at stake as opposed to Jan Blachowicz.
3793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Short term solid projects? on: March 10, 2021, 12:12:05 PM
I think DeFi is a good long term investment option. Profit can be made quickly only by changing the course. But now we see only the beginning of the growth and development of some startups. I think that all we need today is patience and observation.
I'm choosing BSC DEFI - Bake, Cake and other tokens!
Yeah, most of the time projects that are good in short time are the ones that will also do well in long term, unless you are talking about pump and dump kind of coins which I don't think anyone knows when they are pumping and when dumping apart from the coin owners.

Investing into Bnb is a good choice because people are shifting to the Binance chain from the Ethereum chain due to the absurd amount of fees being charged on that network.

Then there are others like Cardano, which is a very solid one and might be good in short and long term, both.

Advising from heart though, there is no coin that is going to be rising as much as BTC in coming years, not in 6 months maybe but then there is no risk either. Investing in altcoins is very risky because one flaw like ethereum faces fees issues and the focus shifts.
3794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If bitcoin surpasses the $60K level then it will hit higher than $100K on: March 09, 2021, 09:51:24 AM
You said that institutions are investing heavily in bitcoin but at the moment the value of bitcoin just starting to go sideways, this is a clear contradiction, good news but in return, the value is not increasing, sometimes even very sudden price drops. Even though the support level is still relatively strong in the price range you said but given this general situation, new prices cannot be broken in a short time, besides, bitcoin has risen too much, psychology of people are tending to take more profits, instead of continuing to be patient
Going sideways and companies going into crypto are not contradicatory, why? Because these companies do not make moves every single day, and when they do that you hear about it, that is why they may not be doing it right now, this exact moment, but have we seen microstrategy buy over a billion dollars worth of bitcoin? Yes, we have, have we seen grayscale buy bitcoin? Yes we have, what about tesla? Microsoft? All those other ones?

We have seen many companies buy bitcoin and that is why I think it is quite obvious that we are in a good situation right now from companies buying but they are not doing it every single day. So, right now we could be going sideways because they are not buying this exact moment, but that doesn't change the fact that they already bought a lot, and they will buy a lot in the future as well, that will make it go upwards instead of sideways when it happens.
3795  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which Altcoin would you Buy now and Why? on: March 08, 2021, 07:47:25 PM
In 2021 Ethereum for sure is the best coin for buy, I choose Ethereum because it is the 2nd best altcoin in the crypto world, ETH very much potential, price is comparatively low, daily increasing ability, well novel ideas for a better future, market analysis says ETH would be king of all Altcoins. That is why you can buy Ethereum.
What you think about the transaction fees problems of the Ethereum though? I don't think it is ever going to be solved and some projects have already started shifting to other blockchains. Although I am not saying ETH is the worst choice but better ones are out there.

It depends on your investment, if you have lots of money for trade then obviously you should buy ETH. Because ETH leading the second position for almost 2 years. But you need to analyze more to find out for yourself.
If you are going by market cap, even XRP seems like a very good choice but anyone who is in the market and follows news about SEC and the lawsuit against them, knows how risky it is. I would never invest just solely based on the market cap.

I would pick ethereum. The explanation is very simple, that is on the grounds that up to this point, Ethereum hasn't been siphoned, and I'm certain the cost will be siphoned. no doubt, ethereum's potential value this year could hit $ 1000, or even hit its new ATH. I think many individuals are looking at this as well.
Are you serious about it? I mean ETH is already beyond 1k my man and I think you wanted to say 10k or you are just not even checking market at all.

Overview of Bitcoin Accepting Sportsbooks (with margin/house edge comparisons)
I feel like they will not provide the odds out of thin air, they will probably use odds from some other place even if it is not provided by another place. Think about it this way, if you build the whole sportsbook from zero and you basically write all the code without any help from any other company, that is still purely yours, even if you just go check the odds in other places and write that down, that is still yours, there is really nothing to worry about there.

Plus gambling creates its own odds, you see people gambling on one side more than the other and make that work too, I have seen decentralized sportsbooks where people gamble on one side or other and decide on odds without sportsbook deciding the odds, and that was worse, so I think this one will probably be a lot better. It will use comparisons of course but you can't just beat everyone and be best odds at everything, it would be hard, maybe few but not all.
3797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum gas problem to be resolved in July on: March 07, 2021, 06:58:36 PM
I believe most of those eth tokens already decreased its value, that's why many eth token holders are complaining. Because they can't transfer their tokens because of high gas fees or they can transfer it but they are paying high gas fee and they are not profiting from their tokens. Right now, small eth users are really in tight belt with this problem. Let us hope that Buterin's team is already making progress in addressing this issue. Else, people will indeed go to other platforms like BSC or ADA or DOT.
That's true, many coins already lost value because people couldn't sell it and they became worthless, but the main reason was actually people failing to buy them, because if you tell people that they have to spend minimum 30-40 dollars just to buy something, they will obviously end up not buying it, you first need to give an approval which costs a lot, then you have to trade it on top of that as well, that is really a lot of money, at one point that was 100 bucks at peak levels. So, we are talking about people not buying it and that causes the prices to drop.

But come this July, when things become very cheap again, we could see a huge increase in them, I think it is good idea to buy right now even with those huge fee's because you may end up with a good increase in price after July, it may not be on the first month but it eventually could go up.
3798  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: March 07, 2021, 05:14:00 PM
Southampton had an easy going while facing Blades and they did well to get 3 points. Saints list of injured players seems to be increasing on. Danny Ings has suffered muscle injury now and the Saints top scorer for this season is out for four months now. They now have to work out with Redmond and Che Adams for now.

I believe this injury could be the last straw, we are talking about a player that could be a striker for many major teams in major leagues gone right now for them, he is not coming back this season from the looks of it, and that means we are going to see them missing many goal possibilities. A striker is not only good because he scores, but he is good since he draws defense to himself and thus allowing others to have an easier path to score as well.

I believe with Danny gone, Southampton may have hard time winning games, more 0-0 on the horizon as well but a lot less 2.5+ goals ever, maybe there could be a few if they are lucky but it will be rare. Thankfully they are away from the relegation zone and I doubt that they would lose enough games to drop, so I think it will be still safe for them, at worst it will be like 15th or 16th at worst.
3799  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to avoid as a beginner in trading Bitcoin? on: March 07, 2021, 04:02:05 PM
if we double or triple our profit I think that's just a bonus for us. Consistent in everyday of trading is just we need. We can minimize the risk in trading, we should always think about risk management. In the beginning of my trading, I always want a big profit resulting for greediness and not contented then I resulting for big mistakes in trading. Patience is also a big factor in trading.
Risk management is the most important part of crypto trading because crypto is much more volatile than anything else that we have used so far, this is why I believe we need to make sure that we do not take too much big risks, if we do that it could end up with a bad result.

However we should not be insisting on stuff neither, I did one mistake like that, believed in a project to be great and invested on it and the more it dropped the more I bought dropping my average and I could have profited in long term according to my belief but it has not recovered that much, not even during this bull period, it still need to do a 2x in order for me to recover my investment, finally I got out.

So, while dropping the risks, we should also remember that even though crypto in general is a profitable thing, there are times when it is not profitable and we should get out.

It's nice that you found what you really like though it can be risky since trading is not always have a positive outcome especially the market is volatile.
The good thing is that you hold your time working and you have more time with your family.
I was planning to quit my job too but I'm thinking that it might be risky to have no job at all especially during this pandemic.
Finding what you like to do with rest of your life is something very difficult, money is not actually as difficult as that if you ask me.

Let's say you found something that you love to do, you want to do it 7/24 every day and it is not a bother for you, and you have done this a while as well, because sometimes things you think you love to do become things you hate over time as well, many hobbies become a difficult task after a while, but I believe if we are in a situation where if we do the work for a while and find out that it is our dream work, even if we bankrupt doing that, we can always recover over long term because knowing what you want to do is more valuable and if you are actually good at it you will eventually make money with it. I believe if you have a talent, it can't be hidden, eventually it will come out and help you with your life.
