3781  Economy / Speculation / Re: Traders Are Cockroches on: February 27, 2017, 06:36:48 AM
It's called a correction dumb dumb it's pretty much guaranteed after a run up. We've had like 3 days of not shooting up, calm the hell down. Were at 1190 now, you'll have your 1300 soon. Stop being so impatient ya cockroach.

some people  can't understand what trading is and how people are making profit. they expect to see a straight line up without any fluctuations on the way. and when they check the price or a chart they see some zig zags and think everything is over Smiley
3782  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's wrong with Bitcoin? on: February 27, 2017, 06:21:23 AM
I don't think this is due to an attack, it's just because of the congestion that is happening due to the volatility that is happening to the prices of bitcoin. It would most likely be over in a few days. This usually happens nowadays since there have been so much users and there are plenty of people using bitcoins. We really need an upgrade to the system though.

You are wrong. It is being spammed until the mem pool is flooded. You also clearly do not know much of what is going on. Try to follow the Twitter accounts of known Bitcoiners like GMaxwell or Peter Todd. Peter Todd tweeted once that the network congestion is unnatural. That it clearly is being spammed by someone or some group. Old Bitcoiners here claim to know who is behind it.

It piles up you know, even with or without an attack upon the blockchain. But regardless, I really do believe we have to do something about the fees and the speed of the transactions. The problem only gets worse and the fees gets more expensive. That's a concern we all have to do something about.

you need to check some numbers and some of the behaviors from the days the spam attack happened with the days that there were no spam attack and you can understand where you are wrong.
one of the good sites that gives you some visual aid is http://statoshi.info check the memory pool and how it changes at times of spam attack, it is impossible to miss!

Payment received.
3784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Tired of short term pump & dumps? Take a solid 61% gain in the last year. on: February 25, 2017, 07:13:06 AM
The problem is that you are quoting the price in USD, with is not very revelant nowadays considering the huge increase in price of Bitcoin.

ArtByte price doubled in BTC terms over the same period:

[i m g]https://i.imgur.com/xHQ3fSK.png[/img]

ArtByte value was 18 satoshi 1 year ago today (on 25 February 2016) and it is worth 18 satoshi on today (25 February 2017)
This chart you have put here is showing the price starting from 1 January 2017 meaning less than 2 months and you keep saying a year!

and next time try to include a better chart from bittrex. the coinmarketcap charts are pretty terrible.
3785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this crazy? Or is it normal? on: February 25, 2017, 07:05:30 AM
I have a lot of money investing in coins.
It does not make sense to invest in coins that are simply numbers
Is this crazy? Or is it normal?

what do you mean it is "simply numbers"? i think you misunderstood the whole meaning of cryptocurrencies and i suggest you check out how these coins work so that you may stop thinking of then as "just numbers" on your screen.

and if you want to invest then invest in bitcoin. it is the main thing and the most strong one. the majority of the rest which are called altcoins are weak, useless and pump and dumps. there are a couple of good ones but they are not as strong as bitcoin.
divide your investment, mostly in bitcoin then among a couple of alts.
3786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you subscribe to another site for additional bonuses? on: February 25, 2017, 06:59:36 AM
from the Poll options i have chosen the "Contests" because the rest of them are very bad and i am surprised why the others have chosen other choices more.

Deposit bonuses on sites, have always been terrible without an exception. you can never withdraw those things no matter how good they may look like. which is why there is no point in signing up on a new site for these types of bonus.

Special giveaways to the best gamblers: this is also bad since you are talking about another site. because you would never be the "best" when it is a new site since there have been lots of others. and you need to be a very large amount on a new site!!!

Lotteries: this is the worst of all in my opinion. the chances of winning is super low while the winning amount is always low too when you compare it to the chance. and then there has never been a good one that is fair either.
3787  Economy / Speculation / Re: THE DUMP on: February 25, 2017, 06:45:55 AM
To buy again, I would prefer to wait for price to come down to $800 - $900, outside any major news to start buying again.

What if it doesn't ever come back down to $900?

It's never back below $1000, even the SEC reject to accept bitcoin etf and it just give a little impact for bitcoin and i guess the price will always increase everytime. and bitcoin will gain more demand. bitcoin is really useful for everyone.

prices like this which are pretty low are all about chances. yes in the long term and when you look at the bigger picture a $900 price at this point is pretty stupid but we are still relying on small exchanges with thin orderbooks with lots of panic sellers and lots of whales who manipulate.

the chance of this is only there if we see another 100KBTC hack and the ETF disapproval at the same time. otherwise it is zero.
3788  Economy / Speculation / Re: $1500 before ETF decision ?? on: February 24, 2017, 06:24:01 AM
this was a big and fast rise, and every time there is the same situation happening it is followed by a correction. and right now we are on the rise but soon we will see that correction and i expect it to come before the ETF decision.

if ETF is approved, because of correction everyone has accumulated more and cheaper coins and price rises even faster.

if ETF is not approved then correction becomes bigger and you can get even cheaper coins before the continuation of the rise. but i suppose the correction period can be prolonged that way.
3789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I failed to make a fortune as an early bitcoin adopter? on: February 24, 2017, 06:14:51 AM
you need knowledge and experience to be successful.

so, a person that it has bid gold in 2000 at 200 USD ... and sell it at 1300 USD ... have no faith ?

[My name is .... Neo!]

stockholder have faith to keep a thing more than 10 years.

i wouldn't call that "faith", it is an educated investment. and stockholders don't keep a thing, they keep whatever they find profitable.
investing in bitcoin is an educated investment.
investing in this gold (pun intended) is dumb faith Cheesy
3790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin price kill Altcoins? on: February 24, 2017, 06:03:57 AM
With bitcoin price breaking all records and still rising, what do you think will it kill the altcoins for a lot of people will sell their Altcoin holdings and convert it to bitcoin.
Your views which Altcoin will survive and keep rising with bitcoin?

no it can not "kill the altcoins" if anything it will make them hotter, because majority of altcoins are used for pump and dump and in order to help us make more bitcoin and with higher price bitcoin it means we make higher amount of money.
and altcoins will survive and die regardless of bitcoin price, they die when their pump-ability is exhausted.

This is what is somehow happening. All of the altcoins I am following, without a single exception, are down when compared to the price before the greatest rise of all.

this only means you are not following good altcoins.
for example here is Monero last month:
3791  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what does $1000 bitcoin price mean for altcoins? on: February 24, 2017, 05:56:01 AM
Bitcoin price is at $1152 Dollars per 1 bitcoin this means that altcoins will be increase it price too where many people will be happy on what the bitcoin price at now. For me the best profitable in bitcoin is i'ts alternative coin where we can get really profit into it. And we can minimize our loses. Better to hold them till the bitcoin price hit 2000

What you are telling i dont understand if the bitcoin price hits 2000$ then almost all altcoins even if the coin has good value it will get selling pressure as most of then will want to convert their wealth to bitcoin so only the good worthy altcoin will be good to buy in this selling low rate time to hold for long when their is correction in bitcoin price then this altcoin will perform good.

both of you are saying two different things and neither of you are making any sense at all.
you should read my previous comment in this topic to see what i mean.

you can open up a price chart once and check it against bitcoin price chart and see what is happening in different coins during each rise an fall. but rememebr to check both their altcoin/btc and altcoin/usd market.
3792  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITSTAMP ALL TIME HIGH BROKEN on: February 24, 2017, 05:49:49 AM
did i just click on memespeculation board!
3793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin follow the same path? on: February 24, 2017, 05:46:07 AM
the thing nobody sees right now, is that everybody involved with bitcoin will see the consequences of this. the spam attack and the ever rising fees plus no change whatsoever in blocksize debate is harming the bitcoin users right now and miners are happy about the extreme amount of profit they get out of this right now. but it won't last forever.
these actions are harming bitcoin and they don't realize this.
i don't like saying this and it will be a long way down the line but people will eventually start thinking about alternatives to bitcoin.
3794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Earn Ethereum ? on: February 23, 2017, 09:24:58 AM
just like earning anything else you have to find someone who is willing to "pay" you in Ethereum for the job you are doing for him.
now this job can be simple mindless things that many do such as a faucet worker or captcha filler and wasting your time for pennies. or it can be any other kind of job such as painting someone's house and then getting paid in Ethereum.
but again you have to find someone who is willing to pay you with that altcoin and good luck finding someone who even knows about ETH and has it anywhere other than his exchange account.
3795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I failed to make a fortune as an early bitcoin adopter? on: February 23, 2017, 09:14:46 AM
is it just me or is the article vague and weird?
he says "i was one of the early investors before 2013 when price was $100" and i understand that he made a large investment at that price.
the he continues by saying:
Quote
"... Among early investors, some were even earlier than me, they started with merely several dollars. .... As such, just like stocks, though there were some early stockholders in 1990s, only a small number of people made a profit."

what does that even mean? just because some other group of people bought bitcoin at $0.1 and less doesn't mean HE didn't make a fortune!
someone who has bought right before the Mtgox pump at $100 has obviously made 1100% profit in a very short time.
all i can see is him crying that he made 1100% profit in half a year while others made 10 times that amount in 3 years! i wish i could be sad about such profits in such short period of time!!!!

then in the end
Quote
With faith, investors succeed.
With faith, entrepreneurs succeed.
With faith, stockholders succeed.
this is bullshit.
faith is only for idiots and old women in a nunnery.
you need knowledge and experience to be successful.
3796  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you play Dice can you feel your heart in your throat? on: February 23, 2017, 08:57:15 AM
I don't know man every time I play dice or any game that you can lose fast or win fast just with a few clicks I can feel my heart tapping on my throat
loool, how about you?

i hate to admit this but i am also the exact same way. well maybe not with that much intensity but i certainly am a bit nervous whenever it comes to gambling and taking bigger risks. specially if i have some considerable amount of bitcoin on the line.
i don't care at all when i am using an autopilot mode with 1 satoshi bets Smiley
but when it comes to a bigger bet size, it is sometimes nerve wrecking, but it is a fun kind of nervousness not a bad kind that is why i kinda like it.
3797  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1139.9 resistance broken, 1142.2 hit (Bitstamp) on: February 23, 2017, 08:51:13 AM
OKCoin/China and BTC-e are still lagging behind. This time there isn't Peking in the lead.
My charts at https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/huobi/btccny are flatlining, anybody knows details why?
Do not want to see another one biting the dust just now.

You must be sleeping under a rock (no offense).

This is due the chinese regulations and all the PBOC crap. They shoot themselves in the foot, now after the couple of dips that the PBOC caused, china is no longer the leading market, the 8888 top will be it, now Bitstamp and Bitfinex are about to hit a real new ATH.

also you forgot to say that Btc-e (which has nothing to do with China by the way since it is probably Russian) is always lagging behind like a limp person!
for some reason people don't buy as fast and as much bitcoin on btc-e and it can be possibly because of the money deposit/withdrawal fees they have because i don't honestly see anything wrong with their platform and they way they respect the anonymity of their users.
3798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have stopped introducing bitcoin to others! on: February 23, 2017, 08:45:23 AM
Yeah sure. I hope that you will happy about paying tax to the government lol. I do not know why you like to blame about the fee. Most of the people are getting crazy about the fee while they do not know that thanks to the fee, they will never have to pay tax or something like that. And moreover, you can have a good security and become an anonymous person. LOL keep using FIAT dude and you will become rich with it Cheesy

dude, using bitcoin does not magically exclude you from paying taxes. you are still living inside a country and have to follow the rules of that county, which means you have to report your to the taxman otherwise he is gonna get you Smiley
and if you pay lots of taxes just for using fiat services such as banks it doesn't mean the rest of the word do to!

if you don't believe it and also think you are anonymous then check out who BurtW is and what happened to him. a little help: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=934268.0
3799  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you had 10K $, what coins would you invest in? on: February 22, 2017, 07:21:59 AM
I'm talking about a pretty long term investment.
Mines would probably be:
4k on Nexus (NXS)
2K on Waves (WAVES)
2k on Ripple (XRP)
1K on Ethereum Classic (ETC)
1K on diverse shit coins
What would yours be?

unless you already have another $10K invested in bitcoin alone, then you are taking a ridiculous amount of risk and lose lots of money if you invest in altcoins only.

if i had $10K to invest. $8K would have been invested in bitcoin and the rest of the $2K would have been altcoin trading. and i say trading because i would never hold altcoins as long term investment that would be silly.

and among altcoins my first choice is always Monero which you missed out on.
then it would be Litecoin specially pre-SegWit and pre-pump to the moon.
and them any other altcoin as long as i can catch them before pump.
3800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you use analysis when play gambling? on: February 22, 2017, 07:14:49 AM
I do not believe an analysis can affect the outcome of gambling. which I believe is the luck factor.
because gambling is a game that risked our luck. luck is far more important than others.

Why you don't want to believe in analysis? Most of the the people here are believing with analysis and it can help us to make some chances to be more good when we gamble. In this way we are able to make a good gambling activity and you know what you are doing. Also this is a good way to be prepared every time you are going to gamble.

Chances on what? if it is not sportsbetting then doing analysis is useless. Some tipster in this forum given thorough explanation on their analysis which help people convince themselves if they want to follow those tips or not however luck factor is still more important then everything else because anything can happen in the game

chances of being "more good" Cheesy
and i agree with this matter. analysis will make your chances of winning better. specially in games such as sports betting where you need to analyze the history of the teams and their current status.
this shouldn't be mistaken with a guaranteed win, because it is improving chances of winning to guaranteeing your win.
