3781  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-08-08] U.S. Senators Forge Crypto Tax Reporting Rules Over The Weekend on: August 11, 2021, 01:46:37 AM
According to the people who followed the delibirations, Senator Richard Shelby from Alabama has taken down the amendment because no one granted him a $50 billion package for his defense contracts.

I reckon this is what occurs if you make a very important policy through a last minute change that will be decided by people who do not know anything about the technology.
3782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 11, 2021, 12:57:24 AM
Why does this happen only 10 days before the biggest boxing fight of the year? I cannot stop myself from being skeptical about this. This might be a rugpull hehehe. Pacman had more chance than what much of the people thought. Watch Spence vs. Porter. Pacman can win by using a similar tactic.
3783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 10, 2021, 04:37:49 AM
if you like good odds for Manny, you can choose these.

That's what I'm considering, Pacquiao win via decision for @3.++

Spence is hard to KO but Pacquiao should maintain winnings every round until the bell rings.

Still not placing another bet as still on the stage of analyzing the fight. Hard to decide as all odds for Pacquiao are worth risking a bet.
Manny is old he won't be fit enough to get the KO I do think he is the better fighter and will be able to win the rounds like you say. Decision bet for Pacquiao is a good bet imo. 3+ for pac is good value for a bet of a legendary fighter like him.

Agreed that he might not get the knockout, however, I disagree with your reason. Pacman will not get the knockout because Errol Spence is a bigger and stronger fighter who will be in very good conditioning for the fight. I reckon Pacman showed power in his old age when he knocked down Keith Thurman who is 10 years younger than him.
3784  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetKing.io is a blatant scam operated by Dean Nolan on: August 10, 2021, 04:09:29 AM
I am supporting the flag and it's very sneaky betking tried to create new account and think that everyone forgot what they did in past.
Only one member applied for their new campaign and he is known for recycling posts campaigns and promoting other scam websites.

I will support the flag against this site, they are a really scummy website, I was checking the Services board and I have seen an open campaign of Betking.io, good thing that the warning atop the thread is a good warning for people to be discouraged to join their campaign. That one member doesn't have anything to live for in this forum, that's why he/she is doing this desperate thing.

Now there are 20 people! Like with 1xbit, all of them are red-flagged members! Even with big warnings everywhere around!

It is funny to see Dean is trying to promote Betking again in this forum as he said he will not do it a month ago, yep typical scammer to eat his own words.

Dean is probably crazy! With so many scandals he is still trying to pull off some scam, and in such a stupid way if I can say, creating a signature campaign after everything he said and did?! I am not sure what is going on in his head, but definitely, it's not good!

I am skeptical. Why would Dean operate using the site name Betking if it is a known casino that scammed people? Might this be a trick to have our attention on Betking and not on other sites promoted in the forum that Dean owns in secret?
3785  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-08-02] China's Digital Yuan vs Bitcoin on: August 10, 2021, 02:25:15 AM
Well duh...
The same will apply to any digital currency created by a government...
Even Fiat has "digital peer-to-peer payment" It's called bank transfers or credit cards.

Also, what does a central bank issued digital currency do? Can we begin using it openly and without regulations similar to bitcoin and other cryptocoins? I reckon the article should be about China’s digital yuan vs. Ripple XRP hehehe.
3786  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [2021-07-28]Binance CEO says he’s willing to step down as world's biggest crypt on: August 10, 2021, 01:31:30 AM
This statement from CZ should be taken as a warning to all Binance users. Expect more restrictions, more KYC requirements, more privacy invasion.
At this rate, I'm not sure if there'll be a Binance exchange by 2022 [I hope I'm wrong].
- By the look of things, they're falling apart and only have themselves to blame!

On a slightly related matter, Brian Brooks [CEO of Binance.US] has resigned:

Another person who was also formerly with government has also resigned from a position from a cryptocoin exchange. Brett Redfearn was a former SEC director before he was hired to be Coinbase head of capital markets.

Is this only coincidence? I speculate these former directors and comptrollers of government were hired for their connections, however, when the DOJ began its move against the cryptospace, the exchanges might have recognized that these people are not the type of executives who could save them.

Brett Redfearn, a luminary of the market structure world and former director at the Securities and Exchange Commission, has left his post at Coinbase after only four months with the cryptocurrency exchange.

3787  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best altcoins to hold during a bear market? on: August 09, 2021, 05:01:59 AM
With all the list of cryptocurrency coin the best way to save our investment is to hold stable coin, I think that is the best way to avoid loss in Bear market and if you are a trader you can trade all this up and down crypto on Exchanges like BNBDOWN when price is crashing by hold BNBDOWN you will be making more profits as the market is going down.

I am not certain in your exchange, however, do not trade those 3x bear tokens. I tried them in FTX, the movement was very unsatisfactory. The 3x bull tokens are better.

In any case, this is another list of what might be the best altcoins to hold during a bear market because you would know Barry Silbert will be there bagholding with you hehehe.

@o_e_l_e_o. Agreed and they clearly do not care about the cryptospace. Also, why would they make it easy for the cryptospace? Its success will kill the interests of those people who control the those politicians hehe. They will always protect the system that gives them their money and their power.
3789  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: August 08, 2021, 08:36:08 AM
@DireWolfM14. How much time would he be given and when? Would you speculate 8 weeks, 10 weeks? Jimmy Garoppolo will certainly not like that. This might also give Bill Belichick an opporutnity before the deadline on November. Choosing Cam Newton as the first quarterback might not take them to the playoffs.
3790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 08, 2021, 07:57:38 AM
I wanted Lewis to win for the sake of a good story line but Gane was just too good for him. I'm glad I didn't bet on this one because of my personal bias Grin Now, waiting for Ngannou vs. Gane as I'm pretty sure that's what everyone wants to see now. Jones vs. Gane or Jones vs. Miocic would be exciting to see as well.

What do you think of Aldo's performance? I thought he rolled back the years.

However, the best storyline is Cyril Gane winner. Francis Ngannou and him were teammates before Ngannou left the team. Ngannou also blamed their coach after his loss in his first fight versus Stipe Miocic.

In any case, did everyone see Gane after the fight and after receiving the belt? Gane appears to love his coach like a father. Francis Ngannou must be training already hehehehe. This will be a fight for honor.
3791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 08, 2021, 06:12:10 AM

Yes, but for now, Pacquiao and his team shouldn't bother themselves with that lawsuit. They need to focus on this big fight on the table, just a week from now, everything should be perfect, training should be unwinding by now as he don't want to overtrain himself and then followed by a strict nutritional diet to make the weight in the weigh-in Saturday.

All that's bothering Pacquiao have stopped the lawsuits the political squabbling, so much at stake here for Pacquiao, if he wins it will have a huge impact on his political ambition, this could well be his last fight as he is not getting younger and he has other goals outside of boxing, I'm hoping he'll win this fight and not get hurt, there's still so much left for Pacquiao in other fields where his country can benefit, whatever the outcome Pacquiao is a rare breed in boxing.

I predict, if Pacman wins, he declares that he will be running for the presidency of the Philippines, if he is not the winner I reckon he will run only for the vice presidency hehehe. Running for office is also another method those politicians do to make money because much of the money for campaigns is not accounted for. This is the business of politics hehehe.
3792  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [2021-07-28]Binance CEO says he’s willing to step down as world's biggest crypt on: August 08, 2021, 05:40:26 AM
Compliance to regulations will always be reactive because there would be no regulations to be proactive to judge if something is illegal or legal until the regulators say they are illegal or illegal.
Not necessarily. It's been obvious to everyone for quite a while that unverified non-KYC accounts will not last, and will eventually be clamped down on entirely. We don't need to wait on Congress passing laws to that effect to know that it is coming. We know that crazy leverage will be clamped down on. We know that these ridiculous interest and lending accounts will be clamped down on.

This statement from CZ should be taken as a warning to all Binance users. Expect more restrictions, more KYC requirements, more privacy invasion.

However, you reckon that CZ and Binance would become more proactive in their approach on compliance if the different regulators around the world did not pressure them in their own jurisdictions? I would argue that CZ’s proactiveness is reactive hehehe.
3793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: August 07, 2021, 05:58:17 AM
@South Park. How good is Mac Jones? If I understood correctly he was supposed to be the no.3 in the draft but he was drafted no.15 with Trey Lance in no.3.

Also, did the Patriots buy a gem or is it San Francisco that bought a gem hehehe. In any case, the trade deadline will be on November. We might see more trades.
3794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August on: August 07, 2021, 04:48:58 AM
@Kemarit. Hehehe it would be an easy decision for him. Also, who would not want to witness a great fight between 2 of the best boxers. I am not saying Mikey Garcia is not a good boxer, however, Errol Spence has 2 belts. It would be good for the sport of boxing whoever the winner. If Spence, there will be a unification between him and Terrence Crawford. Pacman wins, we witness the Tom Brady of boxing win again hehehehe.
3795  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Reviews for FTX exchange? on: August 07, 2021, 04:11:17 AM
@Daltonik. All the partnerships Sam is making with mainstream sports teams and personalities, esports teams to promote FTX might make it the largest exchange in volume and users by 2023. Sam also gave a big donation to the Democratic party during the election hehe. FTX might be the biggest receiver if Binance is stopped by the regulators.

I speculate that we might be witnessing the beginning of the fall of Changpeng Zhao and Binance. The regulators in different jurisdictions appear to be coordinating against it. Some of the exchange exectutives are also resigning. In July it was the Binance Brazil director, hours ago it was the Binance US CEO who resigned. Were there more resignations from Binance this year?

Brian Brooks, chief executive of the U.S. arm of global cryptocurrency exchange Binance, said on Friday he had resigned just three months after taking up the role.

Brooks did not respond to requests for further comment. A spokesperson for Binance declined to comment.

I am shaking my head on this statement by CZ hehe. Compliance to regulations will always be reactive because there would be no regulations to be proactive to judge if something is illegal or legal until the regulators say they are illegal or illegal.

Earlier in the day, CEO Changpeng "CZ" Zhao said in a tweet that the exchange would take a more proactive approach to compliance.

3797  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: August 06, 2021, 05:22:45 AM
@YuginKadoya. Agreed on Gane. He is much too skilled for the Black Beast. I also watched the UFC Countdown and it appears Dana is promoting Gane through hyping the Black Beast as a strong and bad killer hehehe. This interim belt is also for Dana’s new storyline of champion vs. champion where there is history between Ngannou and Gane. They were former teammates before Ngannou left in disagreement with his coach who is also presently Gane’s coach.

Gane will challenge Ngannou for the honor of his coach hehehehee.

Francis Ngannou’s coach, Fernand Lopez, spoke to the media on the collapse of his relationship with the Cameroonian born UFC superstar?

Considered as the hardest hitter in the UFC, Francis Ngannou has been on a roll. Since his defeat to current Champion Stipe Miocic and Derrick Lewis, Ngannou has had a 4-fight win streak, all first round stoppages.

However, all does not seem to be well in the Ngannou camp, according to coach Fernand Lopez. He detailed the issues in Francis’ attitude once he began rising to stardom.

Lopez described how Ngannou questioned how he as his coach could back Dana White’s criticism of him. “Being your coach, I have to tell you the truth,” Lopez told the Cameroonian superstar.

Lopez noted that Ngannou acted like he was his own coach and manager. He stated that he had issues with Ngannou refusing to perform certain drills while getting ready for the Stipe fight.

“Everyone is scared of you and wants to be close to you, but I don’t give a damn,” he continued. “If I feel like you have an ego problem, I will tell you that you have an ego problem.”

Football is officially back with today's Hall of Fame Game (8 pm ET)! Let's kick off the pre-season, shall we?  Grin

Dak and Big Ben are not playing, and i doubt any of the veterans will play much, if at all, but there are some interesting players to watch, namely both teams' first-round picks, Micah Parsons and Najee Harris. Steelers' rookie running back has a huge upside imo, most fantasy experts have him finish as a top 10 RB at the end of the season but for that to happen Steelers' offensive line has to improve a lot...

To think the Steelers could have five players on the line who are either first time starters, starting with a new team or starting in a new position is incredible. And I don’t mean incredible in a good way.

According to rumors, Deshaun Watson might not be a Texan before the opening of the season. Teams where he might go are the the Eagles, the Broncos and the Raiders. Other rumors say that Justin Fields will be the starting quarterback for the Bears by week 3.

Also this, who will be the Patriots’ quarterback? Is Belichick really choosing Cam Newton for the whole season? Jets to reach playoff is 6.03 hehehe.
3799  Bitcoin / Press / [2021-08-06] Senator Who Wrote Crypto Tax Rule Proposes Modest Revision on: August 06, 2021, 01:57:23 AM
These 2 senators created an amendment excluding only proof of work mining and the selling of hardware and software that allows the users to control their private keys from being classified as brokers and the crypto tax reporting provision. If this bill, with this amendment is approved into law, will Ethereum dump their roadmap to proof of stake hehehehe.

Senators Mark Warner (D-Va.) and Rob Portman (R-Ohio) submitted a competing amendment on Thursday to an earlier amendment to the Senate infrastructure bill’s cryptocurrency provision.

The amendment, a copy of which was obtained by CoinDesk, is limited in scope, excluding only proof-of-work mining, or the selling of hardware or software that permits individuals to control private keys that provide access to digital assets.

3800  Economy / Speculation / Re: Institutional buyers are not backing down. More Pump? on: August 06, 2021, 12:33:51 AM
I speculate another one of bitcoin’s largest pumps is coming. Considering Jaime Dimon’s public remarks on bitcoin and this contradiction in his actions, it appears that he had JPMorgan spend its internal resources to know what their clients want. The decision was not done without clear planning.

You seem to have changed your mind, because for months you have been saying that we have to prepare for the worst Smiley

Besides, when Jaime Dimon is mentioned so much in a negative context these days, don't you and others know that he had a negative opinion about Bitcoin for only a few months - and that he publicly apologized for saying that Bitcoin is a fraud.

I don't see how you connect this news with the new pump - because JPM has been extremely bullish around BTC for a very long time - JPMorgan says bitcoin could rise to $146,000 long term as it competes with gold.

Offering a service to customers is one thing, and it is quite another whether customers will use it - everyone who has listened to their advice has had enough time and ways to already invest in Bitcoin.

What I was telling all the larpers was to be realists and be prepapred because we do not know when the bears might begin to pounce. However, I was also telling everyone to also be be realists and always use logic when much of the forum was beginning to be bearish during the dump.
