3781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will a fork of Bitcoin ever take over? on: October 17, 2017, 01:01:49 AM
I just think and focus on bitcoin, I do not think of any other forks I'm not interested in other forks, bitcoin is the best place for me to invest, let alone bitcoin prices are always increasing, and bitcoin will still be the best.

Well the thinking here is that Bitcoin will always be the original, but if the entire community (I'd say supermajority) of the community decides that something has to be done to change Bitcoin, and they agree HEAVILY on all the specifics then the fork will takeover. I'd say it's also a given that ALL in the community support it, be it the Wallets, Exchanges, Miners, and so on and so forth. It's possible, though I just can't see it happening.

We cannot remove the possibility of one of these coins will take over bitcoin however there are factors that will make that happen, first is the support of the community. Once everyone decided to use say bitcoin cash rather than bitcoin then that will change the tide, bitcoin cash may take over bitcoin but the possibility of that happening is less reason for that is because bitcoin already established its grounds. Systems are good, there is a huge support of the community, entrepreneurs and investors are continually using bitcoin to transact. There are more establishments that accept bitcoin rather than alt coins. So yeah, chance of the other coins taking over bitcoin is pretty low.

Hey if the community wants it and supports it, it'll happen. Or they'll all just go to an altcoin.
3782  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What technical indicators do you use for trading cryptocurrency? on: October 16, 2017, 08:31:25 PM
Thanks. Just checked  on Tradingview, that's awesome!

Just as a disclaimer before you use what other people draw as your own work and stuff like that, I'd watch a ton of videos on Technical analysis and Bitcoin / other cryptocurrencies. As other people, who get a fair bit of attention on TradingView, could be doing this in order to get tons of people who see their 'analysis' to trade a certain way. So I wouldn't blindly follow what someone does along those lines.

I also don't think you can use technical analysis in these ways, as they're good with stocks with huge trading volume and market caps -- not stuff like   SMALL cryptocurrencies.
3783  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex Arbtitage on: October 16, 2017, 07:28:51 PM
Well you don't have the ability to do that, if you don't want to adhere to the new terms on Bittrex you're going to have to ask for the withdrawl of your money and then you'd be done with that. You can't sue them if you didn't lose anything, as you really didn't (unless I'm mistaking something here)

Also what Lawyer did you talk too? As this lawyer should know you can't sue unless a loss has been incured, as it hasn't been yet. You stated 'possible loss'
3784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dimon [ JP Morgan CEO ] Continues to Make a Fool of Himself.... on: October 16, 2017, 04:31:36 AM
Well, do you expect anything more from the CEO of a major bank who has the most to lose if Bitcoin is something that goes mainstream. His job, his lifestyle, and tons of other things are on the line if this whole Fiat currency thing is to just go south one day, even if those are low chances, he's still looking out for the interests of himself and his bank.

He may be making a fool out of himself in your eyes, but in the lives of the ordinary people, he's just confirming what many 'ordinary' people think about Bitcoin. That it's a scam, pump investment, and so on and so forth.

I do hope he burns and crashes though.
3785  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could Bitcoin hit 10.000 in 2018? on: October 15, 2017, 08:59:41 PM
Well yes, anything could happen. I could also find out very soon that the sky isn't blue, the world is flat, and the sky is also falling. I think all three of these things being found out at the sametime have the same chance of Bitcoin hitting 10k in 2018.

That would mean Bitcoin has to double, and this isn't a couple hundred dollar double, this is from $5000 to $10000ish.

Come on guys, get off the tin foil hats and astronaut suits and come back to earth for a moment. It isn't going to happen, plain and simple.
3786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin processing fee for transaction by miners on: October 15, 2017, 06:33:41 PM
Well, you could, but this is saying that you're also the one to mine the next block as well so you'd have to be mining the next block by yourself to be able to confirm your own TX. Which is highly unliekly.

Also, there are tons of other people asking the same question on here so I'd refer to something like this for your answer - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1852856.msg18433945#msg18433945

YOU CAN USE A TX ACCELERATOR THOUGH LIKE VIABTC. That works wonderfully!
3787  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Investment in crypto currency on: October 15, 2017, 05:26:19 PM
Yeah-- so you're just going to try to scam people for 1 btc each because you see that the price is pretty high? In what world did you think something so basic and simple was going to work.

Plus you're using a Yahoo account AND telling people they'll be getting 15 percent profit a month, minimum. Gosh I can fucking taste this scam.

SOMEONE PAINT THIS MAN RED.
3788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Has Barely Reached 1% of its Potential: Expert Blog on: October 15, 2017, 04:29:47 PM
https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-has-barely-reached-1-of-its-potential-expert-blog

However, the article screwed up Satoshi.

If 1 BTC = $1 million, then 1 Satoshi = 1 cent, not one dollar.

Well we're talking about cointelegraph here, this is the 'news' source which is known for just blatantly trying to make massive amounts of money on their own portfolios by pushing the coins that they own on you through blatant lies in the news that they make. So are you really suprised that they're making insane claims like this? It's kinda what they build their company off of at this point.

I think that 1 satoshi=1 Dollar is just too much. 1000 satoshi = 1 dollar is possible but not likely in my view.

It is hard to trust an article that seems to not know there are 100,000,000 sat in one bitcoin and not 1,000,000

Back onto the point of the article, this won't happen, people have to be real and get their head out of their asses.
3789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: peaceful coexistence of governemnts and the Bitcoin community on: October 15, 2017, 04:14:22 PM
Well it's plain and simple, these two groups of people can't coexist and thrive together. One advocates for freedom when it comes to currency in a peer to peer market without banks and low fees (Bitcoin) while giving all of the power to the community. On the otherhand, Government is the main power player in the regulation of currency and they control their own currency (usually) so they're not going to want to lose the influence which comes with it.

They can coexist in a sense, but Bitcoin won't thrive under this coexistence.
3790  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: where to keep my BTC on sideline during fork, other than fiat on: October 15, 2017, 03:16:21 AM
Tether USD. It's an altcoin but it's one that sticks around the $1USD price as it's 'tethered' to the price of USD. Which is always going to be at the same price, you could do this at any exchange as most actually have the tether currency on it.

It's not a scam either, though in a time like this a lot of people could be buying and selling so this could cause some fluctuation in the tethered price. - http://coincap.io/USDT

Goodluck! I'll be doing the same btw, though probably selling most.
3791  Economy / Economics / Do you ever think on: October 15, 2017, 01:36:10 AM
Do you ever think there's going to be a Bitcoin / Other Cryptos index fund? Which means you'll be able to invest money into the entire crypto market (obviously only like top 50 coins or so) instead of having to pick and choose different coins which you don't know about. This seems like the best idea to get mass amounts of people involved in investing and would get money flowing in like crazy.

Thoughts on this?
3792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for legal services? A Nordic law firm says yes. on: October 15, 2017, 01:18:20 AM
So one indvidual firm in Finland has said that they'll be taking Bitcoin. Do some of you people actually consider this to be news? It isn't. This is a law firm which is just trying to get some free publicity from Bitcoin and it's probably going to work for a couple of weeks but after that it's not going to mean shit.

Gosh if you find tons of law firms doing this in countries that have big financial institutions then it's news. THATS NEWS OK?
3793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reduce transaction fees for bitcoin payments on: October 15, 2017, 01:04:37 AM
You need to use a wallet that lets you manually set the transaction fee. If your transaction is not urgent you can set a very low fee and it will still confirm after a while.

You could do this, but to help alongside this is to use a lower fee and then find one of the bitcoin TX accelerators to be able to at least get it a little faster. As you're not going to get confirmed if you have a low TX fee. Sucks, but that is the price we pay for BTC to be secure and safe for all.
But what if I am sending from my exchanges wallet to mine? How do I reduce fees in that case? If the fee is very low how do i calculate the time it would take to go through(will there be a chance that it will never go through)

Most exchanges even let you set this, at least the big ones do.

3794  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / What's the difference between a shitcoin and the rest of the coins today? on: October 13, 2017, 08:59:22 PM
I think most coins today, obviously besides BTC and ETH are going to be shitcoins. They're not used for anything besides trading and even though they have certain features which would make them useful if someone was to use them, they're not used so these features are kinda useless.

Most coins are useless, could people explain  why they aren't and why we really need tons of shitcoins with tons of money 'invested' in them?
3795  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tax Trading Coin to Coin on: October 13, 2017, 08:46:29 PM
Well crazily enogh, not everyone on here (Bitcointalk) is going to be knowledgeable in tax laws for their own country, let alone other countries around the world. But I'll give ya some advice.

One thing here is that you're not going to have to record the money that you make until the sale, as anything on paper isn't something that should be realized as profit yet. Only when it's sold.

Though work with your IRS alternative in the country which you live in and I think they'll happily give you all the information which you need.
3796  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: can you share here trusted cryptocurrencies news site? on: October 13, 2017, 08:35:51 PM
Well the thing with something like Cryptocurrency news is that you're never going to get an unbiased source, because it is such a niche issue that allow for so many to make money if it is biased and someone is able to convince the readers to buy a certain coin -- or better yet, but their TRUSTED PORTFOLIO.

But in any case, I'd rank this site among the better sites when t comes to at least getting new crypto news -- https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/

I'd still take it with a grain of salt and do your own reddit searching and stuff like that before getting hype.
3797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to the new 2013 on: October 13, 2017, 08:17:35 PM
This is not the same as 2013. Bitcoin price has been stable since August and only going up which is different from 2013 when the price spiked directly at that November if I remember correctly from 10 to 1100 dollars. Anyway I think that the price may fall down and have a correction but we are all expecting it to go higher into end of 2017 and even more into the 2018 territory. Maybe it is even Amazon who may accept bitcoin this month which is giving a boost to the price but even without it we are going to have increase in price.

If your definition of 'stable' is seeing these coins pop up and down about $500 a day then I'd love to see what a safe portfolio looks like to you. Though I'll have to say that I dont think that Bitcoin is coming to come out and crash.

Bitcoin may flucuate a little bit, but I think this is the point where Bitcoin sits and stays FINALLY.

Not going to happen, you can't compare 2013(almost no one heard about bitcoin) and 2017(global adoption), I can only agree that there will be correction. Back to 2000$? I don't think so.

This too. Bitcoin is a different beast right now, this is HUGELY different.
3798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Ever Be Shutdown? on: October 13, 2017, 11:54:49 AM
Can the Government step in?? I guess so

You guess so? The government could regulate Bitcoin into oblivion if they really wanted to, the government has this sort of power to be able to kill Bitcoin off at any moment. Some governments have already taken these steps but, none of the bigger ones GDP wise has.

Electricity going down would cause internet, all the miners, nodes, and so on to also go down. So that'd take the rug out from under BTC
3799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For the Upcoming Hard Fork on: October 13, 2017, 03:16:12 AM
I still ask like you, waiting for the right information here or in other media. there is no clarity that fork this time will create a new coin or not.

This fork will be making a new coin, though I simply can't see it as making a dent in trading even 1/100th of the size as Bitcoin Cash. But this is going to be making a new coin, known as Bitcoin Gold.

So, if you want to get off the network before this happens then so be it, but I don't think this is going to be as much of an issue as Bitcoin Cash was at the time (even though it didn't turn out to be an issue)

Hold both, free money.
3800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long since you entered the crypto market on: October 13, 2017, 02:52:44 AM
More then two years now, though unlike some of the people on here I haven't been an active trader for this entire time sadly. I was around before this big Altcoin / Bitcoin bubble started to grow exponentially. Now I'm at the point where I can't bring myself to investing because I think the bubble for both is going to be popping soon.

Bitcoin was around $400 when I started in the market -- sucks to know the amount that I could've made. But that's with me and anything.
