3781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain moving to the Internet of Value? on: April 11, 2017, 08:22:47 AM
Huobi’s VP of Technology Zhang Jian started a [Suspicious link removed]pany(already raised$2.9 million)saying Blockchain can lead us to a new era of the Internet of Value. Put simply, it makes transferring value as simply as sending email. Does this mean i am virtually a walking ATM in the future? no matter where i am, i can take my assets with me?

Even without blockchain technology we are already a walking bank. The banking system has already made online websites and applications that enables us to send money to bank accounts using the apps. But it was not really popular compared to blockchain. With blockchain those sending services by the banking systems will be much better compared to their previous versions. Aside from that the power of cryptocurrency using blockchain technology will also help us making our transactions much accessible and much faster.
3782  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Save the planet or not on: April 11, 2017, 08:19:18 AM
The effect can be reversed but since humans don’t seem to want to scaled down on their expenditure of resources and governments seems to follow the same logic then the only way to solve it is to create more technology.

Rather than blaming the individuals, you must blame the government. Among the adults in any particular country, you will find some people supporting the measures to save the planet, and some others who are opposing it. The government should properly educate the citizens, and then implement strong measures meant to preserve our planet for the future generations.

There are ways to reverse the flow of nature and that is to detonate all volcanoes in the world and the world will cool down within a day. When the gases from the volcano will spread all over the atmosphere the green gases will be gone and the earth can no longer trap the heat coming from the sun. When this happens the earth will cool down and we will face ice age once again.
3783  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin worth $500,000 dollars by 2030? Views and Comments on: April 11, 2017, 08:01:41 AM
Hey dudes,
I would be interested in your views and comments regarding this nugget of news.
You can google for full story of course!

First Snapchat investor says Bitcoin will be worth $500,000 dollars by 2030
Their argument is based on a growing usage for transferring money across borders and countries.

I personally think this is a little far fetched, although I never had the money or knowledge to invest in snapchat.
Perhaps I am not best qualified then to comment.

I know you guys are more knowledgeable than me, so let me know your views!

If this really is the case, even if BTC is worth 1/10th of that, its worth holding that fraction of Bitcoin for the future.

Will this cause more people to hold coins?

Any Whales out there thinking that they will finally be able to buy themselves a little Island all to themselves Cheesy ?

G

That is very feasible and it can happen but not at this point of time but possibly on 2030. This point of time we have a long way to go and if bitcoin will continue to flourish then we can actually have that value. But we can only hope for that to happen since there are many factors that can cause the failure or success of bitcoin. But we are very positive that we can still go that far since the community is growing.
3784  Other / Politics & Society / Re: tourists to the US may have to hand over passwords or be denied entry. on: April 11, 2017, 06:28:01 AM
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/apr/09/uk-tourists-to-us-may-get-asked-to-hand-in-passwords-or-be-denied-entry

it's already happening of course, even to americans with government phones, but this looks like it might become policy. throw in having to disclose financial information and answer detailed ideological questions and that vacation to to america looks like more trouble than it's worth.

would you tolerate this or is this a deal breaker? i'd delete everything before going but i'd still be turning up with a massive collection of mp4s stolen from the film studios. they might not like that.

This is a very strict implementation. This will bring an uproar to the citizens of the state since if this kind of law will be implemented there will be many adjustments and complains that will occur. I know that if this thing will be implemented and many will complains because they forgot their password and many reasons the solution coming from the state is chip implants. Now I know that Illuminatis are moving and working to implement chip implants to control the world.
3785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to Invest BTC? on: April 11, 2017, 06:20:07 AM
I see many digital currencies now are good to invest in. I want to invest in TAAS ICO and have a bit of btc invested in JANUS TOKEN who are doing real business in the non btc altoin world so that's the horse I am betting on.

Not all digital currencies are good to invest in since there are many shitcoins that are popping out like mushrooms. Even ICO coins are just made by the developers so they can get money from selling their coins and their road plan was just a facade. But not all coins are shit some are legit and good to invest. One example of the new altcoins that has a good reputation was pesobit, Etherem, Litecon, DASh, Ripple, Monero, Peercoin, and many more. The most important thing is that we must only invest on the coins who have good reputation since that will give you the insurance that you will not be a victim of a scam.
3786  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Solution to immigrant crime? on: April 11, 2017, 06:10:10 AM
I have been thinking about issue with migration, legal and other. Specifically, its criminal, urban element.

Obviously, certain level of migration has been natural through out history. In some cases beneficial both for those migrating and their hosts.

What we are seeing today in western Europe are gangs of disenfranchised second and third generation migrants breaking laws, attacking property and bystanders in tragically misguided bravado as to somehow give their life some meaning.

Now, as living standarts in the west have been stagnant for the past several decades and affirmative action already took its toll on natives, it is obvious we simply cannot just provide limousines, whores and cocaine to every deprivated young man, who feels entitled to such "high standard".

What we can do is to respect culture these men from middle East, Africa and Asia came from.

Those cultures are all still clan based, scoffing upon individualism as a sign of weakness and decadence.

In historical Japan, peace and stability was upkept through collective guilt. If someone from your family committed serious crime, it was not only him but also the head of family (that failed to keep in line) who was held responsible. Through, individually perhaps unjust, the system after decades of civil war brought upon peace that lasted for hundreds of years. Your family, your responsibility.

There is only one thing, unruly yougsters in the west fears today and it is not police. It is not debts aswell, as you cannot take away from someone who owns nothing. They fear each other, their parents and cousins.

What I propose is value system, that rewards individuals for their personal archievements and punishes the clan for failures and crimes.

Your thoughts are most welcome, gentlemen.

EDIT: Just highlighted the focus, so not everybody will start to order mortar for sky high walls.

That is a nice suggestion but that would create rebellious factions which is also bad for the nation. But my proposal is I think much better than yours and it is culture acceptance. When people wanted to migrate in a certain area then they need to let go of their old culture, religion and beliefs and accepts the doctrines and beliefs of the land. That way we are only adding people to the country without destroying the foundations and culture that the country is made of.
3787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The only answer against Miners Mafia is UASF on: April 11, 2017, 05:59:40 AM
Why would a miner who is not bitmain use ASICBOOST on antpool? I don't think it produces more shares, so anypool would pay out the same as if it was not being used, and additional investment would have to be made on the part of the miner.

Because you need a stratum server that supports ASICBOOST for it to work. Currently only antpool does, but there is rumours slush may add support for it. It doesn't pay out more shares but reduces power consumption.

I'm not saying bitmain is mining on antpool. I have no idea if they are nor have I any idea if they use ASICBoost for their farms. I'm saying normal joe bloggs has figured out how to turn on asicboost and is using it on antpool.

i'm confused... before i heard there is no pool that allows it... then someone else mentioned that : that would be overt mining, and this is covert asicboost... so does overt vs covert require the pool configuration??  You sound like youre somewhat knowledgeable, ... i still think its all a huge distraction from scaling and bigger blocks, but its interesting, so give us the gangster deets.

https://blog.bitmain.com/en/regarding-recent-allegations-smear-campaigns/

Bitmain admits they have used it on a test network but not for actual mining.    The only issue I see around asicboost is Bitmain holds a patent on it, at least in China.   Other than that, I all for whatever can be done to reduce the amount of work necessary to find a block.   However I'm in the process of writing my third miner and I may decide to build a hardware implementation of it.   These though are for my own use as I really dislike supporting software, that is what I do for a living I don't need to do it for my own personal business.   Tongue

It is true that bitmain has released a statement that they have not used asicboost on actual mining but rather on a test network. But there was one person who said that he is going to attack the core developer and he is doing it by using asicboost. Thus if Jihan has already started using it on the actual mining does it mean that bitmain is lying or Jihan is not connected to bitmain. Which is true, any ideas guys?
3788  Other / Politics & Society / Re: € 10.000 - How "Protesters" are asking money from mr. Navalny. on: April 11, 2017, 05:53:42 AM

"Where are promised money" - the motivation of protestors.

mr. Navalny promise to anyone the money in case of detention. (In Russian)

This is just a protest done by three people and so we must no give it a big attention. Probably that man worked for Mr. Navalny and he did not paid them and so they stand outside his office while holding their placards saying what they need. Mr. Navalny should just give them 30 euro pounds since they are only three people and the protest of those two will stop already. You can even see the protesters are smiling.
3789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Rare address hall of fame on: April 11, 2017, 05:48:02 AM
This is sure is funny, I hope to get a rare address such as 1Ihave1millionbitcoins0023xx111. This kind of topic is starting to emerge, somebody has posted a topic like this one. He said that we will not stop mining so he can generate a rare address. Though its funny but I admire that persons passion and I hope I can also catch a rare address and sell it haha.

I doubt any one would buy a rare address because the seller would still have access to the private key. I do with I had 1 million bitcoins Grin

Stating the obvious time again:

Quote
1ihave1miLLionbitcoinsoo23xx111

30 Letter/numbers

That is not a real address but I just made them up. If you read again my comment you will notice that what I written is that I am dreaming of a wallet with that kind of address. Its not an actual address but rather my dream address and if I have it and if I am tired of using it I will sell it online to get money. But anyway it is hard to come by with such a rare address and I can never get it within this lifetime.
3790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You can't avoid taxes by investing in bitcoin on: April 11, 2017, 05:39:59 AM
If you think investing in bitcoin or a similar “crypto-currency” may be a good method for hiding income from the tax man, you’d better think again.
http://nypost.com/2017/04/08/no-you-cant-avoid-taxes-by-investing-in-bitcoin/

I am smelling something good here with the news. If the government declared about how peoples can't avoid the taxes by investing in bitcoin, it means directly or indirectly government said that they recognize the existence of bitcoin and how it can be profitable to invest.

Have you heard of value added tax well the companies area placing those kind of taxes and charged it to the products you are buying. In this regard even bitcoin is not free from such taxes. The moment you convert your bitcoin into your local currency the tax was already deducted by the company from your withdrawals and it will be remitted to the government. Thus the government loves bitcoin since it is easy to tax it unlike fiat currency.
3791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China leading the way for a regulated bitcoin on: April 11, 2017, 05:32:52 AM
What's your comment?

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitcoin-exchange-okcoin-publishes-heightened-aml-guidelines/

This is expected.
I expect bitcoin future will be strictly regulated and centralized.

From the article...
Quote
‘Level 2 verification will require a copy of your passport, a copy of your ID /driving license, and additionally, a copy of your proof of residential address (e.g. bank statement, utility bill) issued within 3 months when needed,’ reads an excerpt from the new KYC procedures, asking customers to be prepared with the above-mentioned paperwork in front of a camera.

‘Video verification will require a device that has video recording function and access to the internet (e.g. cellphone, laptop, tablet). You will be required to show your legal documents in front of the camera,’ the notice added.

The other notable guideline informs users that single-signature wallet addresses created before today, starting with “1” and “L” for Bitcoin and Litecoin respectively, will stop functioning on April 23, 2017. Multi-signature addresses will not be affected.

Bitcoin will not be centralized though there are some efforts to make it centralized but it has not succeeded and it will never be. Bitcoin will not be regulated but the regulation will be place on exchanges and not on bitcoin itself. The purpose simply is that the Central Banks wanted everything to be transparent to avoid money laundering and of course to track down people using bitcoins in illicit activities.
3792  Other / Politics & Society / Re: 'No smoking gun' implicating Assad in chemical attack on: April 11, 2017, 05:26:54 AM
The U.S. and its allies have "no smoking gun" proving Syrian forces uses chemical weapons.

No stores of Sarin at Shayrat found by experts.

The terrorists must have moved the chemicals before the inspection from America ever happened. There are military tactics that are done secretly and they have intelligence and insider including spies to tell them about any possible attack that will be coming in. Thus if I am right the chemical weapons might be moved to somewhere safe or if I am wrong the US have acted on its own accord without clear proof.
3793  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: April 11, 2017, 05:13:54 AM
In the 1 year i have been using bitcoins i can proudly say i earned a good decent amount to spend for my self.I have bought my super gaming computer all out of bitcoins and my dream mountain bike. And now im saving for my future using bitcoins

I can also proudly say that i am lucky, because i know about bitcoin and bitcoin give me a chance to earn from it. Because where i am living in my country only few people know about bitcoin, and i am one of them lucky person who know about it and could earn from it. When we talk about bitcoin, than no doubt bitcoin will help to fulfill our dream.

Bitcoin cannot give me the dream I want but it is the solution to all the problems that I have. Without bitcoin in my life I have suffered from financial shortage and I have a hard time providing the needs of my family. But when bitcoin showed up many opportunities online was opened and luckily I got 2 online jobs that pays bitcoin. At this point of time my earnings in bitcoin is much bigger than my salary from work. Thanks to bitcoin I have now savings instead of debt.
3794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s Segregated Witness: More Than Just Malleability Fixes and Scaling on: April 11, 2017, 05:09:19 AM

The list in that article were awesome and if it is what segwit will offer the we can be sure of a bright future in bitcoin. Fast transactions will replace the slow confirmation of transactions which is a big burden to the community. But there was one item that was missing and it was also a very important thing that we bitcoin user is looking for and that is the minimal fee, I hope that when segwit will be implemented the miner fee will also decrease.
3795  Economy / Economics / Re: Will you invest in a MLM scam in early stage? on: April 11, 2017, 04:08:07 AM
No, because you are willingly creating your wealth at the expense of others.

How could I live with that knowing that every cent I spend is directly due to the suffering of others.
very well said mate, if you believe with karma it will go back to you whatever you did if you earn from that ponzi which you already knew was bad then expect the consequence of suffering too, its the money came from those people who invested with it and hoping that they will earn in returned.
For me I will actually invest in early stage but after reading this I think no now. Because your right sir you will just spend the money of others that suffering because they're money has been scam, This is a good answer that I read. I will not invest in MLM that is a scam because if I invest in them I can call myself a scammer too.

That is right when we join any MLM companies in the beginning then we become corrupt as the company since we will be fishing the hard earned money of the new members. Its like we are stepping on them in able for us to gain a huge profit. We can become rich but at the sake of their losses. If we dont have a conscience then we will not mind the suffering of people in order for us to earn.
3796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you been scammed BTC? What will you do if your bitcoin get scammed? on: April 11, 2017, 04:01:27 AM
Have you ever been scammed? And what will you do if your bitcoin get scammed?

Few years ago, it seemed to be the beginning of 2013, I did not remember clearly, I've ever been scammed for nearly 20 BTC, I funded a gambling site, my account got frozen without any reason few hours after I funded.

I could do nothing except crying.

I have been scammed many times but I did not lost an amount which is as big as yours. I have been scammed three times first was by perfect hash then it was followed MCOUB and then the last time was hashocean a fake mining site. When I was scammed all I can do is to find other ways to earn bitcoin so at least I can get back what I lost. And so I succeeded and I won back through other means the amount of btc lost and with that effort I did not stop earning until now.
3797  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can not replace fiat on: April 10, 2017, 05:16:00 AM
Yes, got you intrigued, didn't it?

Bitcoin is a very good thing to have as an asset. Just like gold. Even better if I may say. It's secure, and unlike fiat money it actually exists and work is put into it to produce it. This makes it great to store value.
However, it cannot and will not replace current fiat money that the entire world it using. It just cannot.
Take paying a cup of coffee for example. To pay your coffee with bitcoins, one must get bitcoins first, either by mining or buying bitcoins with other kinds of money (*cough*fiat*cough). It ends up being a quite complicated process, don't you think?
Until we reach the point where paying for a cup of coffee is as easy with Bitcoin as it is with cash, we will never get mass adoption. And as far as I see it, there is no way of simplifying the acquiring of bitcoins.
Yes,bitcoin cannot replace fiat.Even now,in many countries, most people dont even have a bank account and debit card, credit card. They dont know about digital transactions. What they know is paper money which they can feel with their hands. In future also,Fiat currency would exist, but its usage would get reduced.Bitcoin would be a secondary payment option.
Yeah right, fiat money will continue to exist because the use is legitimate and fully protected by the government, despite the use of the bitcoin is already widespread, but will always be secondary and fiat is always primary.

This is the reality, our governments already marked our currency that will be hard to diminished on us. For it is one of the label that makes our country, In this millennial times wherein currencies also overtakes in technology there were really some improvements that technology offers to make online transactions faster this is were bitcoin really takes part. Bitcoin may not replace our fiat in our country or government, but here with technology bitcoin rules.

The government may even produced digital fiat currency out of the paper money in the circulation. Our time is moving fast and our technology is going digital and even the financial world have seen the merits in turning cash into digital. Given this fact though bitcoin cannot replace fiat currency and will never be but that is not a bad thing but a good news to bitcoin. If it replaces fiat currency it will no longer increase in value.
3798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does any bank accept Bitcoin? on: April 10, 2017, 05:12:38 AM
Is there any bank/financial institution somewhere in the world that has embraced Bitcoin? Not that I'd deposit my money there, I'm just curious to know it.

my knowledge no, there is also the exchange, many are hoping this matter, let no real place of bitcoin

As of now there are only the exchanges that you can use to convert your bitcoin into cash and vice versa. There are no banks yet who decided to accept bitcoin but probably soon even banks will accept and sell bitcoin. We are all looking at Japan since they have accepted bitcoin in their country it is very exciting to see if soon they will accept bitcoin in banks to pay their loans and etc.

Legalise some drugs for sale BUT never lock anyone up for taking any drug ..

Portugal legalised taking drugs.. No jail.
Crime gone down people taking drugs gone down..WHY..Think about it..?

No drug pushers ..
Just think if a shop sells it no street dealers to be pushing it on the street YOUTH .

GO ON   GO ON   GO ON   have these drugs says the big kid to the small kid Wink..
PUSHERS ..Shops no more pushers..

Free choice to take drugs NOT FORCED CHOICE..

How forced choice?..

You are young and to fit in you are pushed to take or smoke these drugs to fit in..

The young get to know more about drugs if legal..
Not every drinks or smokes  Wink..Smoking most young don't smoke anymore..LEGAL Wink

It seems us humans if we are told not to do something we do it more Smiley
                                    ^
Maybe it's the desire humans have to always want to be free

Complete legalisation of drugs is actually an amazing idea. I see it as a natural selection. Those who are stupid enough to do drugs and kill themselves will leave us who don't, therefore more junkies= less junkies. Cheesy
You forget that among drug users, a very large number of criminals. To meet the ever growing amount of drugs they need they go on the offense. You don't think about the fact that they themselves can become a victim of drug addict, and your children can become addicts? I'm against it. Any talk about legalization of drugs needs to be stopped.

When people are intaking drugs their attitude, emotions and their way of thinking becomes abnormal thus they may also have the tendency to become criminals. Drug addiction is an expensive vice that needs huge amount of money so you can sustain your addiction and if you spend all your money in your pocket the tendency is that you will do some illegal things to satisfy your addiction. Once you get addicted it is hard to escape and since it is costly you will even do illicit activities just to have money to buy drugs.
3800  Economy / Economics / Re: The free Market and Bitcoin on: April 10, 2017, 05:06:37 AM
The is no ideal free market in the world, absolute free market only exit in theory, even that has come into play in Bitcoin with some people looking to be the President and secretary of Bitcoin.

Free market is actually an idea that dwells only in mind. But even though we can not have that ideal market but at least we are making some models based on that idea. Hopefully if we cannot attain such ideology at least we can make our market better by using the patter of free market. Soon if the world is accepting bitcoin then we can integrate bitcoin into that idea of a free market using bitcoin.
