From a noob's perspective it might look that way, but if you look at what actually happened. FTC had a great launch, nicely timed no head start, no pre-mine, lot's of people jumped on it and the hash rate went though the roof in no time. As the difficulty increases started to kick in to compensate, we suddenly had the unexpected release of CNC at a much lower difficulty putting it far higher than FTC on coinchoose.com, so miners simply jumped ship, that caused the difficulty on FTC to remain high, so more miners jumped ship.
Sorry mate. You lost out. Your FTC are sinking fast and soon to be worthless. Like one of the posters above wrote, FTC was a 100% perfectly executed pump-and-dump. Your pals who were singing the praises of FTC 2 weeks ago are now long gone and have left those naive enough to invest in FTC hanging high and dry. The community that was FTC is fast becoming a ghost town. It's over erk, it's over. I agree with all you said except that the people who pumped and dumped are not long gone, they are still among us and pumping the most recently released coins. Some are so obvious as to state publicly that they are e-mailing the exchanges, twice a day, to get their wonderful new coin up for trade. And by trade they really mean dump. That's it. You really have to be a greedy fool to play that game.

A lot of the big traders moved their action over to plus500 to trade on a FSA regulated site with 4:1 leverage, option to short and instant credit card deposits. Like everything else, most of the action always ends up in "paper" derivatives.
Thank you for posting this. Do you have a link for plus500 plz? Sounds interesting Not it is not. Do not fell for financial scams aka derivatives. Bitcoin was meant to fight that.

I understand why people are predicting consolidation of miners. The very fact that chips are priced in BTC is aggravating that monopoly (rich get richer scenario)
I don't disagree that many will quit mining, but I do disagree that hobby and general "normal" people mining will die. It won't
Why wouldn't a person have a few units stacked up in his shed, wired up to a solar panel, churning out a few blocks? it's the bitcoin equivalent of a savings account, it won't make the person rich and they understand that, but it's extra coin they wouldn't have otherwise. Not every miner is an enterpriser.
Man: those chips/machines generate BTC, so it's fair and normal that they are priced in BTC. Just get your money to an exchange and buy BTC with your fiat, like we all do.

Litecoin is premined. People who was insider mined crap load of litecoin. So? What happen to LTC?
I've never heard this before - proof? Nah. Saying LTC was premined is like saying BTC was premined. Nothing to do with BTB, where the developer's folks have most of the coins that it will ever exist. As soon as they dump (which they will do as soon as the coin arrives to an exchange), it will be worth 0. This flash-ponzis are just that: ponzis. There's people who understand this and wants to play the game. And then you have a lot of butthurt newbies who are just sad about missing the opportunity of being a "Bitcoin early adopter", so they are blinded by stupidity and greed.

No premine is fair.
Bitcoin was not created by someone who wanted to make a quick buck. Bitcoin was created by someone who wanted an alternate system for digital money and transactions.
Anyone who creates an alt coin for the purpose of getting a profit has dubious motivations.
errr... Which one of the 100 coins that were created in the last few weeks has another purpose apart from getting quick profit?
|
|
|
So basically after 1 week, someone creates a new coin and the old one is unused, making some money for the first miners?
Yes, these are just flash-ponzis. You know who the winner is: first in, first out. The rest are left holding the bag.

You lucky sod ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) I would quit while your ahead though. Yeah, I won 32BTC martingaling until it all went belly up :-P Still cant complain about losing what you never had in the first place :-P Are you delusional? To win 32BTC maringaling you first bet should have been 32BTC. Practical example: if you started with 1BTC and kept doubling until you finally won, what you won is 1BTC - because you lost the other 31BTC on the way up. Man, there's some special olympics shit going on in these forums.

Why would anyone want to do that??
Why wouldn't someone want to covert BitCoins to money? Bitcoins are money

Necesito alguien con experiencia previa en minería Bitcoin con FPGA para coordinar la parte técnica.
Interesados por favor contactadme por PM.
EDITO: no hace falta que me contactéis mas, gracias a los interesados.

The 1 thing that I didn't want to happen actually ended up happening. We broke out upwards. I have been wrong all along with my predictions and I feel like a complete coward. No $60 coins. Anyways, BULL-mode is ON! Let's get them coins going real good! Good thing you capitulate on time to get these sweet sub-$150 coins. Yeeehaa. Choo choo motherfuckers.Man, you're killing me today muyuu. I gotta love you ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif)

Anyways, BULL-mode is ON! Let's get them coins going real good! I think than in this moment the wisest thing is to have a 50/50 strategy. You all know I'm not eager to sell any coins, I hate when I sell at the bottom and I end up with less - that's unacceptable in my book and I really feel like shit. But I didn't go all in - if it goes up, good enough. If it goes down, even better - more cheap coins for all of us.

Now the important question is whether America will back up this break out with some real volume when they wake up in 1-2hrs from now. Either we rally on, or people start taking their small profits and we go back down to 110-115.
I will say it again: I feel bullish. Too many good things are happening. And no, I'm not all-in yet, so a bearapocalypse is welcome any time.
