Well we have been waiting for this kind of semifinals, and now that we have it. Djokovic vs Zverev, hard to predict this one as Zverev is really playing very good, but we all know who Djokovic is. Might be safe for a Over bet in this one, Djokovic odds is 1.41 ML.
Just placed a bet on over 38.5 games @1.85, which should be achievable as chances are quite high that we will see 4 or even 5 sets. I am hesitant to maybe also place a small bet on Zverev to win as I tend to agree with you and Trofo that Zverev is playing really well and he already upsetted Djokovic in the Olympics so it is possible that he can do it again. Crossing our fingers mate, I have over 39.5 bet. Djokovic lost the first set (again?), but then come roaring back in the next two sets. Now, Zverev needs to win the fourth set in order for us to win our bet because a fifth set is a sure over. In the ladies, I'm seeing the two youngsters with the likes of Monica Seles and Steffi Graf, and for sure Fernandez and Raducanu will be a household name in tennis for the next 5 years as this two will be rivals. Well done to Djokovic, hard luck to Zverev. I didnt bet on a winner of this, for me it was too close to call but I did bet on Zverev to win a set so at least I won some Satoshi's there. The womens final will hopefully be epic, Raducanu is favourite but again I cannot call a winner, I'm betting Fernandez will at least winn a set. As for future stars, I think a lot will be expected of these young ones in the future but as per my post earlier in this thread, it doesnt always work out that way. The womens game is so open and has been since Williams' dominance has waned, look at Halep, Muguruza and lately Osaka while being top players I think a lot more was expected of them since winning their first slams and I dont mean to take anything away from them. Anyway I really do hope Raducanu and Fernandez can go on to battle out other finals, I love how they play and they have a very similar style. We are watching a great match, Djokovic lost first set as most of his big games this season but came back and led 2-1. Now we are in fifth set and Nole is leading 3-0. Things are hard for Zverev as if we compare five set games of both players, Djokovic is superior to him. Zverev looks exhausted as well. If you missed the great rally -53 shots total- you can watch here: https://twitter.com/YahooSports/status/1436509123315597314Thanks for posting, thats great and one that will be remembered.

You're not going to go wrong with a Ledger[1] or a Trezor[2] hardware wallet. A reputable hardware wallet from either manufacturer; and long as you have offline backups(written recovery phrase) in a fire-proof safe, then your security will be more than enough.
[1] https://ledger.com/[2] https://trezor.io/This is exactly what I have utilised, both Trezor for coins which are not moving and Ledger for regular movement of coins. More importantly is recording the seed phrase and passwords in a preserving way. Stamped metal plates, encrypted flash drives and fire proof safes or fireproof lock-boxes. Most important of all is to get your coins off platforms and out of wallets where you have no control of the private keys, this is essential to taking control of your wealth. Dont trust someone else with your coins

I've put 0.05 mbtc on Newcastle (Knights) winning the Grand final at 66:1
I put money on both the Storm and Panthers winning the Series at the start of the season (along with the Eels and Bulldogs). Can't recall what the odds were, but it'd be nice if the Knights were to get up.
good price... if they win!!! erm how did you manage to put all the bets on and still make a profit if one wins? I have Storm, Panthers and Eels to win outright too and around the same time as yourself, about 5 to 7 weeks into the season. First win of the finals as predicted Storm, I had 0.22 on Storm @ 1.37, not bad.

Raducanu vs Fernandez in the women's final, it's difficult to believe. Not sure who will be the favourite, probably Fernandez slightly, but neither of them were expected to get anything like this far. Raducanu apparently had booked her flights home for the end of the qualifying rounds! Each has been impressive in a different way. Raducanu has reached the final without dropping a set in her 9 matches so far. But she's had an easier draw... Fernandez has knocked out the #2, #3 and #5 seeds! Here's a reminder of their respective routes through the tournament: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FDHV5WpF.jpg&t=663&c=laCz7L_YOKANUg) ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FqD2orSs.jpg&t=663&c=xgZn8Kz2jRopOw) "The metoric rise of two teens who comprehensively cast aside all seeded opponents" is my take on this. The US Open officials and organisers will be very happy with this final, its historic and should create a lot of interest. Look at the opposition they beat! I think Raducanu has the edge over Fernandez and is favourite, should make for a great final. I also had these both to get to the final.

https://www.wru.wales/2021/09/anscombe-set-for-long-awaited-return/A good news story. At 30 he isnt a young gun, just goes to show with the right medical care and personal dedication he was able to get back into the team.
Under the NRL Finals System we have the following four weeks of game play: ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FK1ysoUM.jpg&t=663&c=Vvfzm43fgDtITQ) Week_one_sees_the_Qualifying/Elimination finals:
- Roosters (assume win)
- Titans
- Panthers (assume win)
- Rabbitohs
| Week 2
- Eagles (assume win)
- Roosters
- Panthers (assume win)
- Eels
| Week 3
- Storm(assume win)
- Panthers
- Eagles
- Knights (assume win)
| Week 4 GF
|
In the above scenario, I'm going to call the Storm over the Knights in the Grand Final. The Knights making it to the Grand Final is dependent on them winning their game this week. interesting scenario all based on this weekend. it will be a real close one between Storm and Panthers if it comes to pass. I have both to win outright.

How strong Djokovic is, after losing the first set like the previous matches he immediately took three sets with convincing numbers, I bet on 9.5 overs in the first set and under 41.5.
Women's semifinals: L. Fernandez vs. A. Sabalenka E. Raducannu vs. M. Sakkari Hopefully in this semi-final both young players are not nervous and still play well to give tight resistance to both seeded players and surely this year there is a new U.S. Open champion for women's sections
If those two young ones can continue their mind set and not let the occasion itself beat them mentally they can reach the final. The odds on sportsbet are: L. Fernandez 3.60 - 1.29 A. Sabalenka E. Raducannu 2.24 - 1.65 M.Sakkari I think Raducanu has a better chance against Sakkari, obviously the odds state that, from her interviews she seems 'wiser' than her years suggest. They are up against 2 big hitters so it going to be tough and very interesting to watch.

I admit I have lost interest in men's tennis a bit. No matter how well someone plays, you know that Djokovic will beat them. You almost know before the start of the tournament that there is effectively zero chance of anyone else winning the thing. In his last three matches at this tournament he has lost the first set - and yet how much tension and excitement did that bring? Zero. It was always inevitable even from a set down that Djokovic would win. I do hope someone beats him at some stage, just to relieve the monotony. We need another top men's player. No-one else can match him at the moment. Well Djokovic is up against Zverev in this semi final, at the moment Zverev is only 1 of 2 whi has a possibility to stop him, the other is Medvedev. I would at least hope for a 5 setter against Zverev if he is to win. I think Medvedev will be a "bridge too far" for Felix AA.

I am of course biased and getting carried away because she's from my country, but Raducanu really looks like she should have a great career, provided she can stay clear of injury. She's just taken 5 games in a row to win the first set against Bencic, 6-3. One-way traffic at the moment. Can't believe this is only her second ever grand slam, and she needed 3 rounds of qualifying just to get into the main draw! Even if she loses today, a phenomenal tournament from her. -- Edit: Well, she won... 8 matches played so far at the US Open including the qualifying... yet to drop a set ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) But of course it gets harder with each round, and she will not be expected to win the semi. She is a wonder just as Fernandez is also. They are both doing so well because they obviously have talent but they have something which their current opponents dont have, Nothing to lose! from their after match interviews they both state they were playing to enjoy the experience. Next season there will be more expectations and pressures. Look at Halep, Muguruza and Osaka for example, they were all touted as the next great thing but havent quite lived up to expected potential for various reasons, Physical and mental health.. Hopefully Raducanu and Fernandez can hold their current mental ability and carry it forward

I'm with you here, I think Sabalenka can prevail, as she has the tools and experience. snip Yea as much as I would live to see Fernandez getting through this next match I think Sabalenka will have too much power in her shots than possibly Fernandez has had to deal with in the tournament so far. Fernandez has on her side speed and the ability to hit the angles at opportune times.

I agree, it was their early season performances which carried them to remain in the top 8. Storm and Panthers have been very consistent staying 1 and 2 for most of the season and the other 5 have climbed the ranks to get there so yes The Eels could be seen as possibly the weakest side but will they carry that losing streak into the finals?
|
|
|
Why the small text?
Oh yea it was Australia 0 - 3 New Zealand, to be fair not many teams can win a game against NZ ATM.
League
Yea I have Storm, Roosters and Panthers, Eels are a slippery proposition tough
Parlay? hmm not sure, whats the weakest bet? Knights?

^^ yes the famous "Uncle Tony" who coached Nadal. Alcaraz is being talked about as being the next Nadal. He is definitely showing why ATM.
Big win by Felix AA against a pumped up Tiafoe who will be savagely dissapointed after a big win against Rublev.
Zverev has a big game today against Sinner, he is big favourite 1.16 to 5.20. Thats a bit of an injustice to Sinner tough, does anybody give Sinner a chance?
Yes, of course, Sinner will have a slight chance against Zverev. But Zverev's form is outstanding so far. I have Djokovic vs Brooskby over 28.5. I think the kid can take one set from Djokovic and make it close. Yeah, Alcaraz has some serious firepower, still very young and for sure some with corrections and coaching from Nadal's uncle, this kid can be a serious contender for those new gen of tennis players. A win for me between Djokovic and Brooskby, as I have predicted, he won at least one set. And then some for a multi-bet try, just got lucky. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FtikCH2o.png&t=663&c=IhSBKPrBBxgAsQ) Medvedev vs unkown van de Zandschulp, Medvedev hasn't drop a set yet in this tournament. Nevertheless, I have a feeling that van de Zandschulp might just break it and take one set. So over 27.5 is my bet. Good call, van de Zandschulp took the 3rd set and you get your reward, excellent! After the first two sets I would have thought that will be a walk for Medvedev but after the 3rd set it has now become an exciting game, Zandschulp has improved after the first two clear sets and is now better in the game and can also challenge Medvedev, there is the possibility that it comes to a 5th set, would be for us spectators of course optimal and interesting.
Ah its great to see some of the lower ranked players coming through like this and getting rewarded for their efforts. The 4th set was close, Medvedev was lucky it didnt go to a tie break.
Just watching now Svitolina v Fernandez with Fernandez going to take the first set. This is another great match so far, Fernandez playing free and has the upper hand.

Well they do get a 15% discount but the problem is the vast majority wouldnt see it that way,
The skeptics will be more fearfull The Hodlers will know what to do The informed will know they didnt lose anything before converting to $'s
What happened today? Domino effect, markets dumped and long positions got liquidated which drove the price south which in turn liquidated more longs, all 3.2 BILLION $'s worth.
|
|
|
Oh, it's happening again. What happened seems like "Buy the rumor, sell the news". A very huge reason for this dump is El Salvador for sure, a coincidence? Since a lot for sure expected that Bitcoin could pump too hard because one country started buying Bitcoins and starting to use Bitcoin as legal tender but the market dumped.
Absolutely. I actually bought today, a limit order @ $44k. I was inevitable that dump was going to happen given the pump we had for the last few days. TBH its a bit low that somebody or group would start a dump today when Bitcoin is being adopted in El Salvador as a way to help its citizens. The skeptic in me thinks it was another government agency ......
|
|
|
Yeah, the news of retirees who feels their pension is unsafe in Bitcoin, but I don't think that demonstration will make any difference the government has already made the policy to adopt Bitcoin.
The US Dollar Is Still Valid There, Bitcoin Is Only Optional, If Retirees Want To Receive In Bitcoin, It's Up To Them. The problem is that there is no clear communication between the government and the citizens of El Salvador, as if there is a policy that comes from one party, the government should first introduce what Bitcoin is, so that citizens are educated.
Around 1 Hour ago Nayib Bukele Tweeted That They (As a Country) Have Purchased Their First 200 Bitcoins and Will Buy More. Correct, Bitcoin wont be mandatory, people who fear it can continue using their FIAT. This is a great day and will be remembered as the day Bitcoin was made legal tender (or something like that) similar to Bitcoin Pizza Day?? Anyway, yes its going to take time for widespread adoption in El Salvador, there are of course the skeptics but as they hear and experience from their fellow citizens how easy it is to use and that they actually have control of their finances the skepticism will wane.

I just caught the last set of the Zverev v Sinner match, Zverev looks really on top of his game, he is probably the top challenger to Djokovic as others have said before on this thread. The US Open has already recorded some shocking results in both men's and women's games, for the women we have seen Leylah Fernandez making headlines upsetting Angelique Kerber to reach quarterfinals a day before her birthday...that's determination right there, let's not forget her names people she is responsible for knocking out defending champion Naomi Osaka which makes it 2 former champs being defeated by her in two consecutive matches, I just hope she doesn't lose focus along the way she might be world number one one day if she can keep this up. ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FDpnj973.jpg&t=663&c=Yz9-VlpxSV_nLw) Yes I watched Fernandez beaing Kerber, such a brilliant match, she is definitely one to watch as is the yourn British player Raducanu, she looks like she will take the first set against a very tough opponent in Rogers.
