381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apocalyptic Scenario - What happens to Bitcoin? on: June 09, 2019, 01:55:53 AM
There's no way of verifying a transaction without an internet. No centralized valuation would work. People would revert back to goods to goods exchange. There would be no capital and the one who produces are the rich ones. There would be no jobs as now and everyone would revert back to farming, herding or being iron smith.
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which countries are more friendlier to crypto? on: June 09, 2019, 12:09:41 AM
European countries are much more friendlier to crypto than anywhere else. The countries with opressive governments that uses force control to rule over their citizens are against the crypto and made it illegal. Crypto brings freedom and privacy which frightens an tyrrant government as they fear people would revolt against them when they feel what real freedom is.
383  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some IEOs could also turn out to be scam on: June 07, 2019, 12:46:28 PM
As an investor, i cannot participate in IEO conducted by small and new exchanges. The main reason why IEOs are preferred to ICOs is because they are more prone to scam than ICOs, and this is because the exchange validates its legality with their reputation. Imagine Binance or any top exchange conducting a scam project, it will jeopardize their integrity, and these exchanges do not want their integrity in question, so they only offer legit and promising projects IEO. New exchanges do not have the reputation to validate a project, they are just after the profit, SO they might promote a scam project either intentionally or unintentionally.

There's nothing that makes IEO unvunerable to scams. And with 1000s of exchanges and all of them listing their own IEOs, we'll be seeing more scam than real projects.
Popular exchange probably does a good bit of research before listing any coins as IEO apart from the good fees, as the failure of IEO would certainly tarnish the image of the exchange. But the less popular and shady ones have nothing to fear.
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitebtc Scam Account Disabled Don't Give My Money on: June 05, 2019, 04:01:49 PM
There have been a lot of warning about the scam site and you still went up with deposit in that scam site?
They have been taking away the user funds for some months now. Their announcement is self moderated where they delete every critical comments.
You need to research a bit about any exchange you are not confident over. I'm sorry for your losses.
385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was Telegram's TON a scam after all? on: June 05, 2019, 03:58:05 PM
I haven't heard anything from the real investors though. TON was a private ICO and they haven't started a public ICO yet. And we don't even know if they plan to start a public ICO.
We don't know what the funds are being used for and if the investors are being paid anyway. Though no huge changes, we have been seeing small changes over telegram almost every week.
386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Harmony (ONE) on: June 05, 2019, 03:50:50 PM
Decided to gamble a little with this one yesterday. Since I've purchased it has gone up about 16%. Really not sure how long I'll keep it though. How do you guys feel about this new coin?

They were quite popular even before the Binance IEO descision. They had a good  presence here in this forum as well as on other platforms.
And the binance endorsement has led its popularity to the highest. It's undoubtly the most popular ICO/IEO of current time.
As for the project itself, no way can it deliver a good profit unless you sell them at the right time. The project is good but it would take quite a time to achieve.
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Konios Project on: June 05, 2019, 12:53:26 AM
And now they are absent from social media and the forum. These guys took away the funds from investors and did nothing after getting listed in LA token. They are a scammer and should bring to justice and the funds of the investors should be returned to the investors freezing any property the team members have.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: LA TOKEN IS A SCAM EXCHANGE BEWARE OF THEM on: June 05, 2019, 12:48:41 AM
I deposited 1246 AEN tokens on Latoken, while i copy the deposit address i saw that the minimum deposit is 150, after waiting for 3hrs and the coin didn't deposit in the wallet, i decided to ask for help in their tg group, the admin said while i was despositing the minimum deposit was increased to 1800 and after i finished they reduced minimum back to 150. I was amazed to hear this scamming statement.

Can you share the communication between you and the support? LA token is still a big exchange and we would need some proof to expose it in front of everyone.
There have been many issues with LA tokens lately and their IEO is one of the most controversial one. They seem to take a huge fees to list without doing any research about the project at all.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Currency vs Digital Asset 2019 on: June 04, 2019, 02:08:39 PM
Digital assets was always a thing but blockchain gave it a new height as now users would be able to own their own digital asset without having to be depended on others.
Blockchain changed the way people transact, hold money, stocks, bonds, store and analyse data and now keep digital belongings. People are totally being immersed in a blockchain assisted IOT world.
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No knowledge is lost. on: June 04, 2019, 01:45:19 PM
If you mean non-ICO as private funding than you are correct largely.
When projects are privately funded, they are also directly guided and looked over, they are made accountable for their work and the fiance are transparent.
While a ICO project is highly cryptic after their fund raise. Has no responsibility towards the investors and provides no transparency about the works and the wages of the team members.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Welcome to the future on: June 04, 2019, 07:21:23 AM
Crypto is coming at you. It's all over social media, your Gadgets and electronics. You need to use crypto to use your Facebook, drive your car, pay your bills. Not only it be used in financial sectors, it also would be beneficial in other things like traffic management, smart parking and tokenizing.
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: First Blockchain-Based Membership Certificate in China on: June 03, 2019, 05:30:32 PM
Definitely not what expected from cryptocurrency but as the saying goes, dance according to tune, it's for better of all that crypto dances according to the tunes of authorities in order to reach a large number of people and make them aware of the possibilites and benefit of using crypto.
393  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - big announcement on the 1st June on: June 03, 2019, 05:20:07 PM
I'm on the beta list. The social network seems promising. It works on the EOS blockchain and has it's own voice token. Voice token would be awarded to users and could be used to promote your post or comment. Though it might also bring unhealthy competition of putting your voice above others by using money.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC is simply just to cheat bounty hunters. on: June 03, 2019, 04:16:41 PM
Not really. Most of them are to prevent users from claiming the bounty from multiple identities. But there are many other ways to counter multiple identity and KYC is a risky way as it threatens the privacy of the user. So, the bounty manager needs to come up with new ideas to prevent multiple ids as even a passport and KYC info are on sale in the market.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase Now Supports Cryptocurrency Token EOS on: June 03, 2019, 04:12:48 PM
They have also released an airdrop for the EOS coin in their site https://www.coinbase.com/earn They have a selected number of coins to offer where users get paid for learning about the coin. This EOS endorsement of Coinbase would be beneficial for the EOS while Coinbase might retain some of its losing users.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance test stablecoin pegged the pound on Binance Chain on: June 03, 2019, 04:09:35 PM
It's great to see binance bringing new things to crypto market. Though they might not be bringing it the first time, the things done by binance makes an huge impact on the overall crypto industry. Binance has unianimously became the exchange of choice and anything they bring is generally a huge success.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Token LEO of Bitfinex Exchange have the potential as BNB? on: June 02, 2019, 02:18:18 PM
LEO are also a buyback scheme so it could be profitable if bought in the ICO but again we know what bittrex is going through and why it issed the coins at this time.
With its funds frozen by many authoriites and it's Tether lablled as scam by many, this could be the exit plan for the famous site.
If you have an positive attitude, bitfinex still seem to be a profitable business and it's buy back would surely make the price of coin rise.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Percent allocation management. Profit sharing. on: June 02, 2019, 02:05:45 PM
Do you know any project that offers you invest your crypto funds in the accounts of traders, who receive a percentage of the profits they earn from trading with your funds as a reward? If no, please write your thoughts - is it a good idea for crypto space or not.

There are lending options in popular exchagnes like bittrex, poloneix and liquid where you give your currency to other traders for margin trading who in return gives you some coins as interest. These are risk free but the interest rates are variable as the prices of coins change. It's lower for USDT when higher for bitcoin and vice versa.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS tumbles after Block.one announcement? on: June 02, 2019, 01:25:09 PM
Buy the rumor, sell the news.
The announcement was leaked a few days ago, the price pumped. Now things are just getting back to normal, nothing out of the ordinary here.
Price still went up in the past week.

Exactly. The news got leaked and the price increased in expectation of a price rise and when the time of announcement came, everyone started to sell to make profit of it brining the price of a coin down. So, it's really difficult to predict the price of coins that are just speculative and supposedly increases in price when the demand for the coin increases.
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can someone explain to me the motive behind airdrops? on: June 01, 2019, 02:24:16 PM
I'm quoting a perfect explanation from a airdrop alert site,
"Community building is most important for any start-up, not only the ones in the blockchain space. Proof of community is valuable for ICO's, STO's and IEO's.

If you're not paying for the product, you are the product.

By doing an airdrop or bounty the project creates awareness about their ICO or token. As a result, it brings people to the project that otherwise would not have heard about it. In addition it leads to token price appreciation, since people value a asset they own higher than a token they don't own. This is called the endowment effect.

Furthermore airdrops and bounties create a network of people who own the tokens. If you would list the token distribution after an ICO in a pie graph, a large part of the pie is still owned by the Developers or team. Another large part is owned by people who joined the pre-sale. Lastly, a reasonable part is owned by people who invested in the ICO. Therefor, an airdrop adds an extra slice to the pie and that slice will have the majority of people in it."

So, its just cheap advertisement and adding up followers and building in the community. You also becomes a part of the project for a small reward.
