Yup, halving would be first big thing, because right now inflation is pretty big (12.500 coins per block) Ofcourse, adding to Binance or Bittrex would be also big thing, if that comes before halving. "Function" is that people mine it, then devs list coin on some exhchange. After that, some people start to buy coin. When price goes little up, devs dump all pre-mined sh*t and get rich.

With more and more Equihash coins failing and BTCP turning out to ge a pump and dump scheme, a bit more legit looking than BCC, but still evaporated $200M worth of marketcap, I think BitcoinZ is thriving to be the #1 Equihash.

I talked to Ver about BTX for about an hour last night. He sounded neutral and very busy with other projects. Hopefully he’ll take a closer look.

I am going to have to hunt the video down but I am pretty sure Roger Ver commented about BTX in a video maybe 6+ months back. Plus this business is very very dirty behind the scenes.
