381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Remarkably, how would you rate your past AltCoins price and now? on: February 21, 2024, 08:38:07 PM
As the historical prices of Bitcoin spreads with interestingbdiscussions, does AltCoins also presents you with such appreciable memories?
I mean if you have ever had an Investment experience in the AltCoins industrial system in the pasts where the rate of your interest was highily commendable that even the current appreciating volume in the AltCoins markets hasn't beaten your past AltCoins historical prices before Just as when Bitcoin ATH was $6,900 at 2021 and yet even the current applauding volume of $50,000 plus hasn't beaten the past ATH yet at the current state of the bull run?

In my case it was ETH and ADA that I invested on prior bear market and we all know that they have a good run and hitting new All time high in 2021. Others could have fill their bags with a lot of altcoins that time and then sold for a big profit.

And speaking of ETH, it reaches $3k because of the news about it's Spot ETF

Quote
price topped the $3,000 level on Feb. 20for the first time since April 2022.

Ether climbed from a price of $2,881 on Feb. 19, surging more than 4% in the last 24 hours and 74% over the last 12 months, to hit a year-to-date high at $3,000.97on Binance at 13:45 UTC, according to data from CoinMarketCap.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/ethereum-eth-price-hits-3k-for-the-first-time-since-2022

So this could be a glimpse of what is going to happen in the bull run for many altcoins.
382  Economy / Speculation / Re: Capitalise on Bitcoin Bull Run on: February 21, 2024, 08:11:26 PM
I wouldn't call the advise of the OP capitalizing on the bull run. It's more of really being a smart investors regardless of what is going to happen in the future. There are no guarantee here, we are making a lot of wild and educate guesses.

What makes it's different though is that everyone here has the method on how to accumulate and make profits, it could be short or long term. We even had day traders during the bull run. Yeah, DCA is the key if we are looking to invest as it is also applicable even in a bull run but the profit is not going to be big.
383  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you feel excited while gambling on: February 21, 2024, 01:09:19 PM
From my little activeness over here in the forum and my involvement in gambling I have been seeing some changes in me and it's gradually beginning not to please me anymore I don't know If I will say I am becoming too emotional with my funds but sometimes it's very painful to place a bet for about 2 to 5 consecutive times no winning and this is what is beginning to me make feels sad. I know is a game of luck but sometimes whatever we do and not feels happy we should try to quit it.

I can relate to the pain of playing and not seeing a win and they you are affected mentally. Like you feel that you made the wrong decision to gamble and even if you are losing, you can't quit and stop the bleeding until all your money have been swept away by the casino.

I just have to bring this to know the category of people who belong to this sets that always feels bad or are emotionally touched due to their games has been constantly bursting without winning. I don't know how to channel it but at least gambler should be happy most times i will noticed that only 1 games do take me away from winning and most times there will be option to cash out I will have the full confident that all will be successfully played without knowing games change even at dying minutes.

It's really like a demon inside of every gambler. I mean it's going to be a fight that maybe some part of you says that you should quit and stop gambling for good. But the other side says to continue because you can recover from your lost. So it's going be a daily dilemma and you can just hope for the best for you.
384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Beterbiev vs. Bivol - Undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship on: February 21, 2024, 10:38:27 AM
I have little knowledge about dopings but Beterbiev was given the go signal which means he passed the VADA test. And I believe VADA is the strictest when it comes to doping tests.

Maybe they saw something not normal in Beterbiev's body but still not illegal. What I heard from the past though is that the Russians have the best laboratories and technology when it comes to hiding doping substances. Same reason why Russia was blocked during the last Olympics.

Anyways, hopefully, both fighters are clean and the fight must go on. It's just a shame Beterbiev only has the chance for the undisputed at this stage of his career. He won against Usyk in the amateurs and gave him hell during their 3 encounters which saw the Ukrainian legend struggle, knocked down, and hurt even with helmets on.

Yeah, I read about the findings, but still if the experts of this can't even identify what substance he used (if he ever had one), then it shouldn't be a problem for now. Unless Beterbiev and his team has some sort of masking agent that the VADA itself hasn't found out.

Maybe it was just a consumption of something that he didn't know he take. But it's just a question whether we believed it or not.

But for now, it's inconclusive as per VADA, so this fight should be a go.
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 21, 2024, 10:16:45 AM
Speaking of coaches, have your heard about the Nets coach Jacque Vaughn, being fired?

Quote
Jacque Vaughn was fired as head coach of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets and it appears his plan on moulding the team’s offensive identity around Ben Simmons may have played a role in that decision.

That is according to NBA insider Shams Charania, who claimed “multiple players” — including Spencer Dinwiddie and Mikal Bridges — had been “pretty vocal behind the scenes for months now about how the offence was running”.

https://www.foxsports.com.au/basketball/nba/nba-2024-brooklyn-nets-fire-jacque-vaughn-as-head-coach-mikal-bridges-voices-concern-around-offence-built-around-ben-simmons/news-story/8d4abed8e28f888be0661c5b81c30954

So as a NBA coach, there is no security of tenure, even if the Nets give him a 4 year contract as far as I know, they still fire him as they don't like what the team is going this season. Really just sad how a couple of years ago, they have Nash as coach and with their own big 3. And then just for them getting KD, Kyrie and Harden, they gave up so many future picks and now we've seen that the risk didn't pay-off i the end.

That's the difference between a coach and a player because when a player suddenly doesn't play well after getting a huge contract, he will only be in the trading block. A good example of that is Jordan Poole, who wasn't contributing to his current team and still enjoying a good salary.

For coaches, they don't receive as much compared to the players, but they have no security as to how long they'll stay. I hope the NBA will change this because you never know what's the politics inside. At least give them some security since they aren't paid as much as some high-earning NBA players.

I do agree, the coach is the first head to roll if teams are not looking good, except maybe in the case of Adrian Griffin, has a winning record with the Bucks, but still he was fired from his position.

So yeah, there's no security tenure for this coach, and it's like they really have to live day by day coaching and making the team great. And there are cases too that players might have demanded the management to fire this coach and hire a new one.
386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 20, 2024, 08:31:23 PM
Anthony Joshua versus Francis Ngannou in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia is getting close (March 8 ) but we have a good boxing fight on March 2.

Amanda Serrano versus Nina Meinke - IBF, WBO, and WBA Featherweight Women Titles are on the line.
It will be held in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/events/108730-serrano-vs-meinke
Jake Paul versus Ryan Bourland will be the Co-main event.
I don't know why Jake Paul is listed here because this is not an entertainment match, but I guess he needs to be serious here. This isn't acting anymore.
But I guess he will win this. Why? Ryan Bourland last fought in September 2022. And before that, his last fight was in October 2018. This is a damn inactive boxer and it will be a damn shame if Paul will be defeated in this fight.

My pick on the main event will be Amanda Serrano. Big fan. Even at the age of 35 years old, I bet she still has the strength to defeat the younger 30-year-old boxer Nina Meinke.

That's weird, but I guess what Jake Paul wanted to be is that to become a professional boxer,  Grin

But I think this is borderline exhibition match? I just look at the odds for the Serrano fight and it seems it is a mismatch as Meinke is a 11:1 underdog. I haven't seen this kind of huge gap in the odds for a professional fight.

As for the opponent of Jake Paul, yeah probably another set up for him, cherry pick fight as we say.
387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling friendly countries on: February 20, 2024, 11:48:17 AM
We all know that gambling income is heavily taxed in most of the countries. This is because most of the countries have separate taxes for the gambling related income. I want to know which are the most gambling friendly countries which charge very less or nil income tax on gambling winnings ?
The first country that springs to mind is the United Kingdom, which taxes the profits made by gambling operators rather than gambling winnings. The United Arab Emirates is another nation that welcomes gamblers, as it does not impose taxes on any type of income, including gains from gaming. Several other nations, including Macau, Monaco, and the Bahamas, have very low or no taxes on winnings from gambling.

Right, maybe Macau as well could be added to that list, their whole economy is based on gambling per se, and I think it's the only one country that totally rely to gambling industry for their GDP and to survived.

I'm not familiar with UK though, but perhaps you are right, it's not the gamblers that they taxed by the operators themselves.

So to the OP, you have been given enough information already, it's time for you to narrow it down if your plans is to move on those friendly countries.
388  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: February 20, 2024, 11:32:36 AM
^ I guess it just shows how corrupt WBC as a organizations, they will give all the favor to the any fighter that is the current hype on their body. Canelo has his way with them, not fighting his mandatory and choosing any fighter that he wants to fight without any repercussions.

So same here, for sure if Ngannou beats AJ he will be the poster boy of WBC and then fight the winner of Fury vs Usyk.

But if can only last as long as Francis won, specially in a spectacular manner against Joshua.
389  Economy / Speculation / Re: A new ATH before halving. Is it possible? on: February 19, 2024, 09:24:23 AM
For the time being it seems like another "battle" is going on between the bulls and the desperate bears who refuse to accept that the market trend has shifted and it is not in their favor. This is why we have sudden but small drops where they still try to push the price down and lose money doing so.

If the resistance continues like this, soon we can get rid of these bears going against the momentum and see bigger rises begin.

Yes, the price has generally been moving sideways for the past 5 days more or less. But this is nothing bothersome. In fact, this is probably the most of what the bears and those who prefer to take profit can do. Selling doesn't even result into a deep correction anymore. It could only halt the increase temporarily, causing the movement to go sideward.

This still looks bullish to me. Demand is continuously absorbing whatever amount the sellers are releasing into the market. The increase will resume anytime.

I  think it's normal to see sideways, maybe the bulls have exhausted themselves when they reach $52k, but still its a huge jump already so they might be resting as this point. Also, we still have a lot for this month, we have 2 weeks to go and maybe at the end, $55k climb and it will go till next month.

So I wouldn't be shock that it's going to be possible to see new ATH before the halving. If that can be done, then definitely, there will also be a big ATH that will come next year and maybe every prediction will be correct, $100k minimum to as high as $180k.
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 19, 2024, 08:29:11 AM
Basketball is not about shooting from long distance. It was the worst all star match in years. Nobody defended, there was no excitement, they just dribbled and scored. If I thought it would be this boring I wouldn't watch it at all. Even last year's match was better, there was at least some competition. This time it was really bad

I do agree, every year, the All Star is getting worst. They do get in the old format where we fans are asking for, but everyone is showing their outside prowess, Lillard, Haliburton. KAT dunking and scoring 5-0.

But the East is all for the 3 points, Jokic though, living his moniker of being a Joker, him and Luka.

Just imagine if this two can be team mates in the future. Unfortunately, I do agree that this All Star weekend is becoming worst, the only notable for this year is Steph vs Sabrina, which give the NBA views.
391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 17, 2024, 08:46:29 AM
Since he didn't selected, Domantas Sabonis made crazy triple-double averages. He made 18 triple-doubles this season. It's really ridiculous that he wasn't selected. If he played for a Los Angeles team, he would have been selected. When you're in Sacramento, it's tough.

I hate this narrative that people always keep on saying. I mean, Domantas deserves to be an All-Star, but why is it always going to be against the Lakers? Why Anthony Davis? Anthony is having a great season; he deserves to be an All-Star too. He is taking care of himself and doesn't miss games that much compared to his past few seasons. Also, he is arguably the best player in the Lakers right now based on how he plays.

And looking at the standings, the "winning" Sacramento Kings are just one win away from the "losing" Lakers. Also, all-star reserves are voted for by the head coaches of the NBA teams and not fans, so if Domantas is playing for the Lakers or any Los Angeles team, I think it wouldn't matter because fans are not the ones who are voting for the reserves.

If we are going to compare Domantas to any of the All-Stars right now, I think it should be KAT. For me, Domantas should've replaced KAT. Towns is inconsistent most of the time, and I think he became an all-star because of his 62-point game against the Hornets and because they are number one in the West.

Speaking of All Star Snub, I saw some post on X showing of images of Fox of the Sacramento Kings as promo for the All Star. I'm not sure though if this is recent or what, but if this is true then it's like rubbing it in and a big mistake on the part of the NBA to have a picture of Fox, but they totally ignored him and didn't get the nod to play for this year's All Star.

Same with Sabonis, playing great and I think him and Jokic are fighting for that triple double title for this year.

But then again, perhaps these two didn't get the votes from fans or maybe the NBA snub them for this year.
392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Taylor vs Catterall - April 27 on: February 16, 2024, 11:54:48 PM
I think there's no more hype in this fight, they could have done it before when everyone is talking how amazing the 1st fight is and that a rematch should be done ASAP.

But it's obvious that Top Rank and Josh Taylor duck Jack Catterall and making excuses after excuses. He could have injuries, but then they let Teo Lopez, a Top Rank fighter to go against Josh Taylor and he was upset and now he doesn't have any belt anymore.

It might be good for their domestic fans in UK, and the day is also coincide with the Ryan Garcia vs Devin Haney so it's a bad date for them.
393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing when to own your bitcoin on: February 16, 2024, 08:53:04 PM
My joy of buying bitcoin at the right time when bought my first Bitcoin has been excessive in this period that Bitcoin price have risen continuously.

My story
As a newbie and first-time investor and holder of Bitcoin, I made a decision that has led me to a stage of financial satisfaction within a short time, just by risking the right amount and at the right time.
I bought Bitcoin when the price was low at about $22,000 price and i went all in with the whole capital at my disposal,  as a newbie i was sceptical,  but also i was ready to take that risk.
Luckily for me, Bitcoin is now at 52 thousand dollars, and i feel so excited to see the number of profits that i have accumulated within the shortest time which no other investment can give such profits in such a time frame, so I am glad.

Yeah, you can say that everyone is very lucky here as we could have been investing as well since the lowest low of $15,500, two years ago due to the collapsed of FTX. So congrats to you, but this is just the beginning. Don't be excited, just stay calm and if you still have some money, then you can continue to accumulate and stack sats.

I do hope that you didn't sell, not a financial advise. But we are just barely scratching the surface, we really don't know how big this bull run is. Speculation is that it could hit 6 digits in the future. So if you can control your emotions not to sell the better and wait till we hit new all time high, just saying.
394  Economy / Speculation / Re: 60k possible before end of this month? on: February 16, 2024, 01:23:32 PM
From the look out of things there is no doubt that $60k is sure before the end of this month February reason being that bitcoin has surpasses the price of 50k and headed to $52k if I am not mistakenly and you can correct me if I am wrong.
Also does this proves the idea of most people saying that bitcoin could hit half a million dollars after the halving by 2025, does this sign proves it right?

Let us discuss.

I guess everything is possible now, I mean when we thought that we will not even hit $50k, suddenly we did and it goes even higher.

So with the bullish sentiments, who knows, we slight at $52k like it was nothing. But first the next stop should be $55k. And if we did it next week, then chances are very good for us that we could be around $58k-$60k at the end of the month.
395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: February 16, 2024, 11:30:00 AM
^^ Even his first lost is controversial, his 2nd fight against the veteran Oscar Salido, Oscar came in over weight in the fight and so he lost the belt on the scale. But then Loma loses in a split decision but due to Salido coming in the fight over weight Loma was awarded the belt, what a controversy.

And then his lost to Teo Lopez, later on we fight that he had a injury in his shoulder.

Obviously, his last defeat against Haney too is a bit controversial, many of us thinks that he did enough to win the fight.
396  Economy / Gambling / Re: Greetings from Bets.io on: February 16, 2024, 10:37:44 AM
I want to clarify that i use multiple casinos to bet more money on same market. I dont make any arbitrage or something.

Thank you guys for telling them its not okay to act like that.. I hope bets.io will finally understand that they arent the victim here (because they acting like they are.)
And its definitely not normal to steal someones deposit to compensate your loss on a game. https://ibb.co/Nm4Qnzb

Im curious how will you compensate your loss of players who decide not to use your casino because of my story i will post on every betting forum.

Not defending the casinos here, but players do come and go as they pleases. Even if you post your accusations on them outside this community, who knows, players are born every minute and so they might fight this casinos and try their luck and play.

Anyhow, just go and bet on other casinos if you are not comfortable with them anymore.

As for the fixed match volleyball, I guess you just bet on the bad side here, maybe you bet on them accidentally and not knowing that it's fixed.
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: February 16, 2024, 10:13:37 AM
Only one game with close odds and that is Utah Jazz vs Golden State Warriors. Both the teams playing back to back games and both teams lost their game. Warriors are slightly fav in this game with 1.8x odds but are the away team. Still 1.8x looks tempting enough to go for it. Just need Curry to show up at crucial moments and we are good.

Yes, ML will be enough for this game, I will also go with this one (I'm back betting on the NBA again).

I'm looking at the Bucks vs Memphis game, initial handicap is -9.5 for the Bucks, maybe this is a trap, so I'm taking Memphis +11.5 @1.91, seems appealing to me.

Wolves vs Portland, Minnessota beat them the last time and cover the spread, but it was close game till the 4th quarter when Timberwolves pour everything and win by a huge margin, -7.5 @1.68.

Great bet on this one mate, 3/3 perfect.

The big upset here is the Bucks, they try to make a comeback and avoid this upset. But they fell short.

In the Warriors game, I thought that they are going to choke, they allow the Jazz to make a comeback and they almost force a OT in this game. The Jazz has a lot of chance to tie the score but they can't make that important 3 point shot.
398  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy pressure on: February 15, 2024, 09:33:44 PM
This is what is happening to every country now. It won't be long and we will see more hardships for the food prices going to the roof. Sooner you will see your government will suggest the salary increase but while doing so the company you work for will also lay off employees because of the salary increase.

Yes, it's not just in Africa, but all over the world including Asia wherein prices of basic commodities keeps on going up but the basic pay of people are stagnant. So there is no balance and so people continue to suffer and even had problems putting food in the table for their families.

I guess everyone here is really feeling the pain right now, and if we don't have stable jobs, gonna be difficult. There are people who go to extremes, like having 2 jobs or a side hustle but barely above waters in this trying times. And so we really have to prioritize things, like the education of our kids and again 24x7 shelter above them and basic necessities and hopefully we can all survived.
399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: February 15, 2024, 08:58:14 PM
Charlotte Hornets won three in a row in their home games and this is since the trade deadline. Grant Williams and Seth Curry the new additions of the team are playing really well. Hopefully they can continue this momentum until the All-Star break. It is a one week vacation for them before they play the next game.
I think they can secure their fourth straight win since they're only playing the Utah Jazz next game. Utah Jazz have been struggling in their recent games. I don't know why but they're just inconsistent with their performance.

I really don't know what's happening to Utah Jazz right now though, they have a good start early, but now it seems that they are struggling.

@OgNasty - yeah, pretty much the Warriors dynasty is over, there are a lot of rumors swirling around about trades in Golden State. Perhaps Thompson and Green were lucky that the management didn't pull the trigger. I thought that both of this player were going to be traded for obvious reasons.

Maybe next year we will the Warriors taking a reset, and only Steph Curry left in the group.
400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 15, 2024, 10:37:37 AM
@Dave1. No, Oscar dela Hoya only said something good about Munguia and the sportsnews media hyped it for your clicks heheheh.

No, Oscar has been hyping Munguia since he got him under contract. And we all know that Oscar is good at hyping his fighters. And so with that, his wound with Canelo leaving him is still fresh and he wanted a story line that the young Munguia will be the next Mexican star and will beat Canelo.

Well we can say that the media also hype him, maybe it's because of the youth of Jaime or his personality that is similar to Oscar. Vibrant and young and boxing media love that kind of personality to say the least.
