I was watching a Youtube stream talking about the new coins showing up on coinmarketcap today. It mentioned that CryptopiaFeeShare was released as a Ubiq token. Nice to see a new token by an exchange chose Ubiq.

ion has fallen rapidly in usd value... why is that? has something happened thats caused ions usd value to fall so much?

maybe a stupid question... but someone can give me a less stupid answer?... When you lend coins on Poloniex you are lending them to real people who use them to margin trade. Poloniex charges the borrowers interest and gives you most of that interest. It's a real loan, serving a real purpose and earning real returns. When you lend coins to Bitconnect they don't do anything with them, don't earn any returns, and pay you back with less coins than you loaned them since the price of their token goes up faster than the interest they are paying you. When the price of the token stops going up it is no longer profitable for them to offer loans so they cancel the program causing the price of their token to drop instantly. They end up with your BTC and the victims end up with worthless tokens. Do you see the difference? genius! ~ ya the bittconnect scam was so obvious ..it was obvious :-D weee |

Good morning Bitcoinland and greetings from the jungle in the Yucatan peninsula. Internet access is spotty out here so I haven't been checking in daily.
I see the "S. Korea bans Bitcoin" panic is continuing, all the way down to 4 digits and back up a little... currently $10160USD/$12645CAD (Bitcoinaverage).
I'm too lazy to work out the old coin price (damn, the Mexican lifestyle is getting to me) but all alts are down, mostly a lot worse than Bitcoin.
If I was at home I would have jumped on this dip and bought by now. Oh well, at least I bought the CAD in my pocket when the price was almost $21kCAD/BTC.
Hopefully everyone else is stocking up at these bargain basement prices. If prices are still down when I get back to civilization, I'll use what I have left of my travel float to buy more coins.
Hopefully this price foolishness will turn out the same way last January's "China bans Bitcoin" nonsense turned out last year.
Bitcoin is still strong. It's not just about blockchain technology, it's more about open source and decentralization.

Glad we agree on the majority of these I only suggested multi-algo so more than SHA256 users could mine it. Was hoping to get a gpu/cpu algorithm but while still keeping SHA256 as well. Also the proposals comment was written before the TEKcash name change was suggested but I didn't mean for any sarcasm there but do hope we get some new coin features  . Would be nice to have some privacy features or some new tech with the coin. But overall I just merely wanted to get other holders opinions as we're all in this together and wanted us to share our thoughts Hopefully we hear from the siacoin dev on here as well. I checked their announcement but didn't see where he mentioned anything about TEKcash yet. Multi algo is rather hard to implement. Might be something for down the road a piece. Changing the algo to something more cpu/gpu friendly, that I would back  I haven't spoken with Thundertoe in a while, but I doubt he will have an issue with his old baby being revived and revised. I definitely agree in toning down the POS rate, or alternatively, capping the reward like Hyperstake and Truckcoin have done. Shortening the interval from 30 days would be nice too, since more open wallets equals a more secure chain. Last facelift was in 2015, so it's definitely overdue I would leave the block reward as it is, and definitely keep the per block diff recalc, but having seen the chain stick to the point where presstab, Thundertoe, noise23 and I spent a week getting it unstuck, maybe put some safety features in where the diff lowers if no new blocks are produced in a given time. KGW not implemented yet? Ya i'm talking to a few devs we will be working on TEKcoin it's worth the effort imho :-D ~still loading on yobit It's always had something similar to KGW. hit TEK with a barrage of asics and watch the next block diff ^new TEK site up!!! :-D ===> http://tek.cash/ |
