Yes, that might be power cost for 51% attack, but it's same like claiming it needs only $50 (for a handgun), to get a lot more by robbing a bank. Double spend is fraudulent activity. Anyone can do it, but they should be prepared for the consequences. Be serious... this is very serious ~ if someone can spend less tha $100 to 51% the coin then what are the developers doing to stop this? Many other coins' teams are taking direct action now to mitigate this, and we already know what the response time is for anything getting done with emc2...zzz  *yawn* We are implementing a new algo in the next few months which will further decentralize the mining. Beyond that, masternodes are coming in he fall. Additionally we work hand in hand with the exchanges who have massive resources to defend against attacks. Swear to God (yes I am a Christian) this is the Wall Observer thread and needs more moderation. If you want to talk about Nazis, holocaust speculation, silver or gold bugs, people of different faiths like Jews and Muslims or tin foil hat controversies there are other forums that will welcome you. I don't post much here anymore because 1) I am busy day trading and 2) over about half the posts here seem to have nothing to do with Bitcoin. It is becoming a bit of a joke and a cesspool frankly. No one is aware of any of it but a really small group of people, so yeah... not that practical. Even the best product can be a waste with no crowd. If u don't care about your coin situation but only the about developing the project silent, plz delist your coin otherwise show some dedication in a coin that is already listed on exchanges. Posting on Website, twitter, slack, discord and telegram is not enough? When we have updates we post them on all our social medias accounts, did you share those links on your own personal accounts? This is a community coin, if you don't share what we do as volunteers, you can't complain on the development of the project. Because there is development. My point is that it's highly! important spreading emc2 news and events also outside of emc2's personal accounts (website, twitter, slack, discord and telegram) on public surfaces as well - that's the whole point. Something I have wondered and I've been meaning to ask, what happened to that wall observer bot? The one that would post the depth chart every few hours? It appears to be gone completely. RichieT did a rage quit with his Chartbuddy about 2 years ago. He got all BIG blocker nutjobie, and at that time concluded (and still seems to hold such sentiments) that theymos was censoring his feelings too much, and he was going to take his marbles... You or anyone else with the possible skills who wants to could program a chartbuddy, and I am sure that anyone would receive a lot of positive praise for such proactivity.. likely merits, but maybe if the bot performed well, even a few folks would donate some token amounts of BTC (no guarantees, of course)? yea, i miss the old chart buddy,... he was nice. Fill your bags boys. This is the moment we all have been waiting for. It is coming. Paper monetary system is on life support since early 2000's. QE's kept him alive for nearly another 20 years and It has come to an end.
And we just got some confirmation yesterday that the market does in fact see us as a safe haven asset. (A lot of people just assume this, I have never felt comfortable just assuming it) Yep a 500$ increase means that the bulls are in for the fight with the bears and they are showing that they don't want Bitcoin to go down below 7,000$. It will just need one big pump for it to go up again. Right now it is trying to complete a inverse head and shoulder pattern which is a bullish formation if it goes about 7,600$ our first target would be 7,700$- 7,800$ but if it goes down to 7,350$ then this rally would be over. $7348 now. So I take it the rally is over. It dropped so quickly, down nearly $200 USD in five minutes. Gotta love BTCs volatility. Pretty sure we are headed for sub $7k possibly sub $6k.
