Everything that has an advantage also has a disadvantage. I don't know why the governments and other anti-crypto agencies are always talking about the disadvantages of crypto and leaving its benefits behind. Before crypto, there was money terrorism and money laundering so why are they behaving as if it was crypto that brought all these bad activities
The problem here is everything that represents the good of cryptocurrency is at a disadvantage to the government. Even though these features are good from the perspective of a common man, they are anti-government and the government won't preach what will really set the people free from them. They prefer then to focus on just a single disadvantage of cryptocurrency and paint it all bad. |

I want to believe that no investor will see a shit project and decide to invest in it. Often times, projects fail to perform or do their proper homework before setting off to launch a project or were just planned scam from onset. I won't blame investors for complaining. It is of course their hard earned money and everyone wants to see good returns on his/her investment.

I really want this Libra to hit the market. It might not affect the market that much, but might be the door that usher more people into the crypto community. On the other hand, it might stand against what crypto true representation, which are privacy and decentralization. This privacy issue with Facebook. Now that three core members are on the verge of pulling out of the project, I don't see anyway by which the project could pull again the initial momentum if given the greenlight to proceed.

Funny but true. Bounty hunters are only rich on spreadsheet while with actual market price, hunters are the poorest. Before distribution, price is already at the lowest, of which distribution in some cases do take months to a year to complete. Maybe one should always wait for listing before calculating bounty value to avoid giving oneself unnecessary hope.

Indeed regulation might never come anytime soon and for the mean time we protect ourselves in any form that we can. To some extents, IEO has tried to bring some normality into the ecosystem but it is presently having no substantial effect. Developers are still at large doing their dirty work and manipulation is never seems to be in extinction. Regulation will do a lot of good but it will never be without its own heavy side effects.

Scam coins are always dead on arrival. Don't be deceive by their listing on CMC, or on exchanges, they can go to any lengths to make the coin genuine. Simply keep close eyes on the project team; their attitude, behavior, response to technical questions and communication skills (they are always rude). Don't trust trading volume, it can be faked and most of them hardly have trading volume or good price movement.

I’ll tell you so that the season of altcoins will come unexpectedly for everyone. No need to wait for it and to predict it is all useless.
This is exactly my view. The altcoin season will occur unannounced. It will caught a lot of impatient people unaware. The thread it will follow will not be like the previous season where all altcoins moved almost at the same time, simultaneously. This time around, it will be by individual coin, based on level of development and activities of the project. The solid altcoins will surely profit a lot while the shitcoins by then would have been pronounced. |

Just because you are starting with what you can afford to lose doesn't mean you should be reckless about this your new adventure. Take your time to walk yourself in and don't make hasten decisions. Get yourself a mentor or learn from expert in the field.
Glad you have other areas that can bring you back up income in case trading for the month didn't go well. Build yourself up gradually, enrich your knowledge base with good trading strategies and principles. Never expect overnight riches. All the best

To be honest, there is no increase in Mass adoption especially in this environment. It's more or less like a decrease. 2017 bull market brought in massive number of crypto adopters and in the same manner 2018 bear market took all back leaving the space with the same figure as it was before 2017. 2018 was brutal and only the diehard crypto enthusiasts are left trying to stay afloat. People are not ready to get back in and people already in are not willing to bring in people for the fear of what damage the uncertainty in the market can cause to new adopters.

Altcoins that I won't invest in? In simple terms, the ones not within the top 20 on CMC. If you see me holding bags of any alt outside this range, I probably got them through giveaway, bounty, airdrop or contest.

I have seen this happening to projects on many occasions and it does not always end well. In most cases, the team are forced to alter their roadmap just to pleas the investors and the nagging community. Even before the end of IEO/ICO, with little capital raised, a lot of questions will keep popping up as regard exchange listing; for instance, "when exchange?" "when listing?" "when listing on second exchange?" without giving the team time to develop their products. All these so that these investors can cash out as soon as possible and move on to next available project.

Holding is the only way for altcoin investors now unless you want to accept your losses and exit but its better to have patience, i have seen coins that worth 1,500$ a year ago and they are now 200$ , i have sold airdrop tokens that should worth 150$ for 10$ to sustain but i am not stupid enough to get rid of all my tokens and coins because market is not in my favour, be wise and remember that those tokens you are getting dispose off can turn something when market start turning for the better, be determined to win,when thinking forward always think backward as well.
Patience is virtue in crypto but know what altcoins you will exercise your patience on. Many altcoins are not worth waiting for. It is very easy these days to see through these projects and have a clear vision if there is still prospects in them. That's why I advise, always follow up on altcoins that you put money in and check from time to time if they are alive. Don't just hold for the sake of holding or on ground to patience is virtue. Sell if you smell death in the coin and move on. |

This is exactly my take when the issue of bitcoin vs altcoins is being brought up. Imagine how the market will look like without altcoins. There won't be innovative projects coming up, no diversity of portfolio and the entire crypto industry will be in the hands of the few. Let's not forget that altcoin is another entry point to the crypto industry by which many adopters who could afford BTC at the onset came in. Bitcoin and altcoins needs each, but with only solid and excellent altcoins can we move forward.

I want to believe you did your homework accordingly before arriving at this kind of portfolio. But I still feel you should have ask for suggestions before investing into those coins because a lot of good suggestions has been rolled out for you here which would have helped make better decision. The most important of them is the non-inclusion of bitcoin. Your investment is at higher risk without allocating reasonable capital to BTC. It is still very cheap right now and there are more energy for it to increase now or in the future. Also, my mind isn't sitting well with NEO, XEM and XRP. Give those slot to bitcoin and find a way to squeeze in ETH. All the best. |

Investing in coins you mentioned; BTC, ETH and BNB, is not a bad idea. These are solid coins with active community and development. The risk of investing in the above coins is minimal and chances that you will gain much is higher compared to any other crypto in the market.

We've seen the success of many IEO and no doubt, the truth still remains that IEO is more effective than ICO. While hope is almost lost and investors are not willing to risk their funds into any project, then IEO evolved to be the way out for both investors and projects sourcing for development funds. The industry still needs a more effective approach and will continue to look for the most effective way. But before then, IEO is the way forward.

This is why I don't fancy speculations. When you think the market is recovering, altcoins season approaching, ETH performing strong against BTC and boom, we went down again due to BTC heavy plunge. Not a bad idea having an insight into what's going to happen in the future, but I like to give much concern about the present and make good use of it. Let's see where we arrived at by December for BTC and altcoins.
