385  Economy / Economics / Re: Ruble in freefall... Too bad for those people they outlawed Bitcoin! hahaha on: December 20, 2014, 01:26:48 AM
Ruble fell 12% against dollar on Monday alone.  Still think Bitcoin is volatile?
Read it and weap: http://money.cnn.com/2014/12/16/news/economy/russia-ruble-collapse-options/index.html?hpt=hp_t2
Poor Russians got nowhere to turn - so they are stuck holding that crap fiat ruble not worth a penny these days.

The problem is, bitcoin fell from $380 to $310 just in a week. That is 19% fall. So it is still volatile.

Any chance of putting some mini game to earn gold faster then just keep waiting?

It has been suggested before and I am investigating the options.
Developing such a game is not something I can do myself (if it is meant as a flash/java game), and it will be expensive to hire a third party.

That being said, I am still considering this as an option.

Well, it doesn't need to be really complicated or using flash or java. It can just be as simple as click.

For example, while you were mining. Some giant lizard approach and it looks fat, like he has eaten some gold. Click 10 times to kill it (tata, the giant lizard drop 10 gold).

Why do people need to mix your coin before using them? Isn't bitcoin itself already safe from your identity?

390  Economy / Speculation / Re: Its always the darkest just before dawn on: December 19, 2014, 02:31:42 PM
I think an announcement out of nowhere will save us and bring new money in.  Big companies will start coming on line now after Microsoft.  Maybe a facebook / youtube tipping integration?  Ebay going full bitcoin?  Amazon??

The problem is, the more giant company integrate bitcoin into their payment system, the price drop even further. Those company dump bitcoin immediately and no body want to keep them.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: October 2014. Are GPU rigs useless? on: December 19, 2014, 02:29:59 PM
now mining the coin seems is waste time and money

Not really, a lot of people mine cause they still have positive profit (cheap electricity). So its not profitable for you I guess?
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AntMiner L1 for sales $5/MH/s ships in December on: December 19, 2014, 02:26:22 PM
Hopefully bitmaintech come out with something really soon, I believe the deliver date is december 15 right?

You heard wrong. L1 is cancelled, wait for an e-mail to choose your refund options.

Where did you see that info? Can you please give me the link to the news?
393  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Mining is Gambling? on: December 19, 2014, 02:24:46 PM
To me, mining is same as buying bitcoin. They are both risky but is consider investment. Gambling is going to primedice and you know the result immediately (Win or lose!!).
394  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Current Best USB Miner on Market on: December 19, 2014, 02:23:37 PM
Where would I go about buying it and at what speeds? Can't seem to find anything over 2.5 GHS, is that the limit?

USB miner is the worst, please dont buy them.

Reason: They have the most expensive price/GHS and they have the highest watt/GHS.
395  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Im new, but best way to get started... on: December 19, 2014, 02:22:41 PM
I'm new to mining and have been reading for about a month on this topic. Really interested, want to get started. I have access to start up capitol as well.

What do you recommend I do to get started?

So you are lucky as bitcoin difficulty is dropping (which is really rare in bitcoin history). So buy S4 from bitmaintech straight away and you can start mining, also be sure to do some calculation like your electricity charges and so on to see if its profitable.

398  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: might get my hands on Hydro power. help me build a case to get it? on: December 19, 2014, 02:12:09 PM
Hello! so i might get my hands on some Hydro power to power my miners with Smiley!

here's the catch, the Generator needs fixing and i need to convince my friend to let me fix it and use it.

but anyway, i need to build a strong case why i should be allowed to fix the generator to generate power to my miners and to the owner.

The Hyndro plant it self is located in a ''Industrial park'' (i don't know what to call it) in sweden and my idea is that if i fix the Hydro power so o can use power for myself and to power the building (which is a café, i don't mean heating but mostly lights and various machines) that its hooked up to.
the owner (whom i know very very well) won't fix the generator and use the plant again because its not effective for them because the amount it would produce would not even cover 1% of their total Power use.

the things i can think of that would help me convoke him to let me fix it / use it are:

They would get some free power.
They could earn money on it.
It won't cost them anything.
they will get a new ''attraction'' and show people how Power was produced back in the old days. (its an old hydro plant)

if you guys know any more reasons please write them below Smiley

You shouldn't fix it due to this reason "produce would not even cover 1% of their total Power use".

Sounds to me like it is a small hydro which only produce 1-2 kwh. Fixing it might be so costly that you will not generate enough power saving for the whole life of it.
399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did anybody already pay with bitcoin in the Microsoft Store? on: December 19, 2014, 02:00:06 PM
Did microsoft say they are going to keep a portion of the BTC they get from sales? I hope microsoft didn't cause the crash from $350 to $310.
400  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don't think of it as selling on: December 19, 2014, 01:57:15 PM
Think of it as investing in another currency.

Just remember, never invest more than you can afford to lose, and quit while you're ahead.

USD risk is too low, I dont think its called investing. Its more like "doing nothing".
