I am planning a test of the payout system in several hours.
What this means is that if you have already requested payout, it should update the website that it is completed.
Now whether I actually do the sendtoaddress calls or not would depend on how well the validation of the payment scripts goes. I might stockpile them until the 31st, but my preference is to batch process them incrementally so I dont have to do everything all at once.
If I do the sendtoaddress then you will be able to see your KMD in the block explorer and also if you are running the iguana beta test, in the iguana wallet.
please keep in mind we are still in the final testing phase, so dont do any large amount transactions until we announce official release.
I will post here whenever I do a batch sendtoaddress

@KomodoPlatform: As you stated yesterday the deposit will taken place in tranches, first tranche starting 31st January. So e.g. for me, who made a deposit to my wallet address, it is not certain when exactly i will recieve my KMD. I hope, beside other cases of ICOs, you will be so fair and wait for lunching KMD on exchanges till every KMD is deposited.
It is highly recommended to request payout BEFORE Jan 31 distribution. All the KMD will be distributed very close together for each batch, likely within the same hour. I can guarantee that exchange trading wont start before the Jan 31 distribution, so request payout before then and you will have KMD before it starts trading on exchanges. I cannot guarantee that exchange trading wont start before the second distribution, but it is not very likely that exchanges will start trading so soon. then again, we have no direct control over exchanges, so please ask the exchanges about their plans about their timing. You dont ask the exchanges when KMD will be doing its distribution as they dont have control over that, similarily we dont control when the exchanges start trading KMD. I also cannot guarantee when exchange trading will start. All I can do is make sure that it cant start before the vast majority of people have received their KMD. tl:dr Request payout before 31st distribution. |

What would be nice would be an updated OP with some links to wallets, they have not updated the OP since the ICO.
did you look at the post after the OP? it seems to have been updated over a dozen times and I am sure will have links to wallets, etc. when they are out of beta testing |

iguana uses the same method of passphrase -> KMD address the wallet right now does this, but we havent sent out the KMD yet, so it wont be there until the 31st. Voting ends the 29th |

Yes, I received a newsletter to request for withdrawal on before Jan 31, but inside the newsletter, it was indicated that the wallet is still in beta , where would I send my KMD tokens to then since it is not on any exchange exchange yet or is there away to go about this
to the address you generated through the ICO site. The seed is your "private key" and KMD address is the "public key" So, I was able to easily run the wallet on linux. I appreciate the easyness of install for ubuntu. The wallet has me a little confused though, all the diff modes and the lack of directions.. But even though I've been following this thread, I am still confused as to what it is you guys are asking us to do. In fact I'm not going to do any voting or moving of coins anywhere, including the above quotes, until there is better info. Also this whole request for withdrawal thing as quoted above, I don't understand. What is this for? I'm trying to stay positive, but you guys have made a really really confusing thing here. What is the road map for what we are even supposed to be doing? In order to send you your KMD, we need an address to send it to that only you have the privkey for. that is what we are doing now, getting addresses to send the KMD to all we are asking you to do is tell us what address to send the KMD to so we can send it to you. The ico site provides a way to do this and to verify that the passphrase generates the same address as the request for payout. |

Yes it is possible to still mine Komodo without being a notary node, however it is very inefficient. The best way to acquire new KMD is claim the interest that accrues from the KMD you receive in the ICO So we will earn interest by holding our KMD? it is like PoS. Awesome. 5% APR, but you dont have to be online to stake, even cold storage utxo will accrue interests. The only requirement is that it be older than an hour and larger than 10 KMD. It uses zero footprint and does not take up any blockchain space |

Hi Dev, Will there be a web wallet for Komodo coin; some investors don't like to download the desktop wallet; they usually have a syncing problem, or it takes awhile to sync.  There's no webwallet in development. However we do have the basilisk mode, which is a lightweight wallet where you don't download any blockchain. This is an open source project though, so anyone could develop a webwallet... or anything, basically Will it be POS feature in windows wallet? I was wondering about the BTCD to KMD swap rate. I transferred some BTCD to the ICO website, the swap rate (My KMD Balance/My BTCD Swapped total) is less than 50.42xxxx (it is 50.37xxxx). Can anyone shed some light on that please? Thank you.
The exchange rate keeps dropping every day, and after the year it will be 5% lower than it was on the first day. BTCD supply grows 5% a year I guess. Thx for the reply. I thought the dropping was going to start after the launch of KMD. I think I was mistaken then, the rate seems to have started droping since the swap was enabled. Does this mean the swap year has already began (when the swap was enabled) ? yes |

we will run a house LP node to provide the critical KMD/BTC liquidity, another use of ICO funds. unfortunately we didnt raise enough to be able to provide liquidity across the board, but the KMD/BTC pair is critical and needs to be liquid.

Having hard time understanding how ChonoBank is aiming at 10k BTC and komodo received what? 1700 fresh BTC? I would really suggest you guys to start promotions ASAP even if the product is almost ready. Not so many people have even heard about KMD, look at the rate of thread post here and there. Don't be afraid to spend some of those funds, one of the goals to collect them was for promotions as I understand. Please do. I know the campaign will start soon, there is no need for "soon", do it now. Time is of the essence here.

There was a request to prevent anybody but the creator of the key from modifying its value, ie. to make each key have an owner.
also the ability to transfer ownership of a specific key.
In order to do this, I added curve25519 capability to komodo and implemented a signature scheme that uses hashed shared secrets.
I coded the ownership transfer, but havent tested that part yet. the ownership preventing anybody else from changing seems to work. The only change to the API is an added passphrase parameter to kvupdate. The passphrase maps to a pubkey/privkey pair that allows the shared secret to be created against the contents of key+value as the seed into sha256, which is then treated as the privkey.
tl:dr KV API now supports owners and coded to allow transfer of ownership

Now I can use the KV API for DEX data management

I added support of a flags parameter to kvupdate.
The least significant bit is a write protect bit, so if it is set, it cant be updated until it expires.
The next bit is reserved, will become a binary data flag for signed data
The rest is currently use as a duration multiplier. The normal fee is multiplied by the the duration multiplier. The default is 1 day (1440 blocks)
Using the write protect bit, it is a bit of a first come first served free-for all, but with the duration all things will expire when the payment is used up.
I think with a signed binary option, we can get all that we need as the signed entries wont be able to be changed without a valid signature

yesterday, there was a request to create a new coin. So I took an hour out to make WIRELESS coin as an assetchain. I found a few undocumented steps in the new asssetchain creation process, so I fixed that.
just made KV assetchain, will be added to list of coins
it will have the smart function of Key Value storage
took 15 minutes from concept to notaries funded with KV coin so they can dPoW
but it has no smart functionality yet, that will be added as I can, in order to solve some DEX and PAX issues, I need a KV storage, so I figured might as well make a decentralized KV to help out.
KV storage is a low level way a lot of things that need a database do things
KV chain will be a decentralized KV storage that can be used by anything that uses the KV API
decentralized data storage is relatively important as it allows for long term state to be securely created and modified, it will mimic an append only database, so changing data will be supported.
There are 1 million KV coins and its value will reflect the value of decentralized KV storage. Of course, KV is dPoW'ed and supports zcash shielded transactions. Record size will be limited to 8192 bytes, but multiple records can be combined to create larger sized storage. txfee is standard bitcoin txfee model, and if the capacity becomes an issue, a fee market will develop.
In order to reward the long time SuperNET investors, I will be sharedropping 20% of KV coin to SuperNET coin holders. We will need to create a migration path from the SuperNET NXT asset to the SUPERNET assetchain first,but that is already in the works for the migration of the various NXT assets. Once that is done, then we can do a KV sharedrop. You must hold the SUPERNET coin (not NXT asset) to get the sharedrop as there is no way to directly sharedrop a KMD assetchain coin in NXT.
If you are interested to be a part of KV coin team, please contact me, I certainly wont have time to do much with KV coin (other than technical) and I think it has a relatively large possibility for usage due to the popularity of KV storage. KV coin bounties and even some KMD will be made available
KV coin is an example of how I see the komodo ecosystem developing. As coins such as KV get established and succeed, KMD will gain value as the underlying coin.
I have 1/2 my SN in Nxt exchange and 1/2 in Unity. How do I get it into the SN Coin?? The KV functionality didnt take long to add to komodod. It works for all the blockchains, komodod and all its assetchains. This allows each chain to have its own KV storage. Initially, it does no protections for keys, so anybody can update any key at any time. Still thinking about the best way to give update rights to the creator and not to others. I am leaning toward having a signature in the value portion. That way we can use an external signature system to manage this. Using utxo sigs just seems a bit too messy. The API is as simple as can be: kvupdate key value kvsearch key For now, everything is a string, didnt want to complicate things to deal with binary key/values. It does waste about 12% of space, I can always add encoding modes later. The following is a simple test sequence. I first assign the value of "bar" to the key "foo". Then I overwrite it with the value of "spam" To make the behavior identical on all nodes, until the block with the KV entry is processed, it wont take effect.
