Of course we still have our 2 mbtc side bet. Whoever wins the most matches😁 still many games left so anything can happen😁

Ah, ok - we both started well. I hope your win against casperBGD won't be the decider Grin

Dias is the only one in Liverpool's attack that looks capable of converting a decent percentage of chances.

Not even him - he scores some kamikaze shit but misses decent chances quite often.
Salah is still the best finisher, but only with his left. As you've seen today, his right foot is totally useless.

We probably won't wait for snooker to finish so the tables will be updated tomorrow. Some freebets winners are clear, some are not - still deciding whether to credit those that are or keep them together.

Questions for Round 6 will be posted in half an hour or so.

What the hell just happened at Old Trafford?
We have only ourselves to blame, that Quansah pass was incredibly stupid and we had to take our chances before that and secure the points.

Just shows how unpredictable football is, United was on the ropes throughout 97% of the game, yet they managed to take 2 huge points off of us.

If this will cost us the title, I'll be so fucking furious.

Damn, I think I have a bet with Slissy too. Really can't recall which one it was, or even if we did agree on it or not.
Slissy - any chance you remember what it was? Grin

Didn't expect such dominance from RB - good for a lot of people that picked all 'yes'.
Vivek is doing horrible this round, I'm really lucky I'm playing against him. He'll probably win the snooker point, but I've already won the duel.

Fantastic time to bring Gvardiol into the team.
Replaced Watkins recently, another shitty call. What are the rest of you doing if I'm still in top 10? Grin

Tomorrow's the day for Salah and Nunez, I can smell it this time. We'll walk over this United team.

I have to say that I did not expect Arsenal to win so dominantly today.
When the teams are so close to each other, having a big GD gives you that extra bit of leeway and they are increasing it even further.
It's basically an extra point for them at this point in time.

To be fair to them, they have the best attack and the best defence in the league so far - statistically, they deserve the title. They have the hardest schedule until the end though - so let's see where they end up.

No matter the fantastic statistics, I still have them behind both Liverpool and City.

400 pages of BSFL discussion in 14 months - not too bad!

This is why we keep going strong Grin
When we started, we actually just wanted a space free of spam to discuss sports events. Glad that this thread became as close as it gets to it.

Are Trofo and cryptofrka just being lazy or will half if the question be settled on Sunday? I can't check all the results because I'm not home but I can't remember when was the last time that we had 6 questions unsettled before Sunday.

Sometimes it happens - NCAA had a game only on Sunday, F1 is always on Sunday, snooker final as well. You always have some good football on Sundays too.
Both F1 and NCAA will be settled overnight so that will leave us only with snooker and United-Liverpool.

So, dbshck confirmed he did not submit - meaning that hakan2217 gets the free points and dbshck gets his 2nd penalty of the season.
I hope he continues playing, I already won against him and with huge GD so will drop a few places if he fails to submit again.

I hope O'Sullivan loses, if he gets to the final he's probably winning it and I had Trump as champion.

@buwaytress

The 2nd leg picks look interesting, there are some odds discrepancies that I will try to use - you danced around with it pretty well but I feel some are a bit off Grin

Some things need to be clarified though. Examples:

For all 2nd legs - does potential ET count?
- Bayern - Arsenal option 1
- Man City - Real options 1 and 2
- Borussia - Atletico all 3 options
- Barcelona - PSG options 1 and 2

For Borussia - Atletico game, what does the following mean?
Dortmund 6+ shots on goal (4)

I assume it is shots on target, shots on goal can be easily misunderstood.

Sorry for being a nerd, but these things will bite you in the butt hard if you don't specify it in more detail.

Generally, I really like it.

Man, 7 goals in 8 games doesn't seem out of reach to me.

I felt great mid-season, he was on course to do it. I didn't mind AFCON, it was a difficult schedule for LFC anyway. But that hamstring injury made him miss Burnley, Luton and Forest - 3 games in which, at least on paper, he scores 1 goal on average.

I agree that it's still doable, but the odds on you winning this now would be like 1.10. Still cannot find why he was subbed off yesterday - he wasn't that bad.

Southampton still has an outside chance for direct promotion, although it doesn't seem likely after their loss in the last league game. They still have 2 games in hand.
They really do have a difficult schedule though, they are facing both Leeds and Leicester away from home in the last 3 games of the season.

I'd say that the playoffs look like a certainty, and that's always a roulette - especially considering that Leeds or Leicester will be there as well. It would be ideal if both were promoted directly and Ipswich went to the playoffs - although currently sitting at 1st place, I think they showed less than both those teams so far this season. They were inferior vs Southampton on Monday before the red card.

I had a draw both in BSFL and in PL prediction pool where I need the points as well.
Watching the game I had a feeling United wouldn't be able to hold on to a draw but, as everybody else, felt that the game was over after the penalty goal.

United really is a team of clowns.
392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: April 05, 2024, 09:54:42 AM
If it goes on like this I won't be able to win any prize.

You're still safe in 5th place, the last one bringing some prizes.
I'll take top 10 finish as a decent result in the 1st season, I actually expected we'd be rewarding more places considering it's almost 40 people playing.

Liverpool was really disappointing yesterday, not sure what happened with that Salah substitution. I have a bet with icopress I will surely lose now, I needed 1-2 goals from him against the worst team in the league.
393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: April 04, 2024, 08:54:21 AM
If Nunez scores 7 goals today and Salah assists 5 of those, I'm good. Otherwise it will be another crappy round.

I'm paying for my shitty wildcard decision before GW25 - my team is filled with injured players and there's nothing I can do.
Still, Liverpool's got an easy game today and Nunez isn't on a lot of teams so he can be my differentiator today.

I honestly expect LFC to hunt goal difference today - Sheffield is already relegated. It will be funny when they score 5 goals and Salah and Nunez get none.

I'm not having the best of rounds, yeah - but my opponent's even worse.
I think my picks for F1 and UConn are better, so I hope to increase the advantage in the next few days.

Ronnie's in the snooker semis, not that it is important considering that we all have him..
395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BC.Game 🦁 Fantasy Premier League Pool ⚽ Discussion Thread on: April 03, 2024, 09:29:15 PM
It is ridiculous to still be without Foden, he's my player of the season. He's the only City player that you can safely put in your team that won't destroy your budget - Haaland will, KDB will as well (and he's not even playing much).

Wanna ask me then how it is then that I don't have him in my team? Yup, no fucking clue.

Hello gentlemen! Just a quick update to say that I've been trialling several different ideas for the final 2 match days. Unfortunately, because I'm trying to implement it in the middle of the tournament, the existing format (practically, the way the spreadsheet is coded into a template) will be difficult and expensive (hey, someone needs to get paid to work haha).

So, Matchday 9 submissions will include the 1x2 results of the first leg QFs, and additional options to put your stake on. The odds for those options will likely be guided by known probabilities, but they will probably have boosted "odds", probably based entirely on my arbitrary reading of teams.

Matchday 10 will be the first leg QFs AND some heavily boosted odds for the Final (heavy, because there's no way of really knowing who'll be playing at the time, but it ensures a bigger reward for those making picks for the final at only the first leg SF stage Wink

You surely mean SF's here, correct?

Let's see what you come up with, and then I'll do my round of complaining. Or won't, this actually gives me increased chances of winning Grin

...I just hope that Saint-loup and MoSala don't have monster rounds.

Nice of me to have called him out. I'm 5th overall currently and he's got 5,5 points more than me.
If this isn't a monster round, I don't know what is.

Joca97 - now it's suddenly a 4-team race for the top prize, eh?
398  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Pregled Bitcointalk Signature-Ad kampanja on: April 03, 2024, 01:03:39 PM
Jel mi se samo čini ili cijene idu dolje?

Idu, iako najbolji posteri i dalje imaju nešto bolje privatne dealove.
Ban mixera je dosta srušio cijenu, ipak su oni uvijek iznadprosječno plaćali 100+ najboljih postera.

Sad je cca 100$ tjedno jedna od bolje plaćenih kampanja.

Surely we won't be red-tagging for not submitting answers Grin
We're all here to enjoy sports and make some money on the side, ideally we'd like 100% submission rate but we're close to it in top 2 Divisions.

Not much more we can do, and you all know how it works. If there is interest for something it will live on, if there's not, it will slowly die and be replaced - meaning you all have a bit of personal responsibility as well if you like BSFL and want to see Seasons 10, 20, 50..

So far we don't see major issues, we'll maybe introduce a single Division 3 soon, might be a bit more fair. But to be honest, Division 3 is the semi-professional one anyway. What happens down there shouldn't affect the core part of the competition, which is the top 2 Divisions.

That does not mean that Division 3 isn't important to us, it surely is and we want to see it active. What I meant is that, in a few seasons, we expect dedicated managers to climb out of it and those less dedicated to drop down there.

The round has started quite slowly, but all heavy hitters for this round are yet to play.
I expect a shitload of points from Salah, Darwin and Saka - LFC will want to reduce Arsenal's GD advantage by a bit and tomorrow is the perfect game to do so.

It is going ok for me so far without any City assets but there will be that 1 round where they will bring 40 points to everyone but me. Shouldn't be against Villa though.
