Unless SONM gets some real-world job to do (apart from simple server hosting), it can slowly decay as Golem did. Some months ago there was a rumour that the storage part of SONM will be on the distributed blockchain storage STORJ.
Did that happen? where does SONM take it's storage space?

Listing on a small, unknown exchange can have bad impact on a coin. Small exchanges often drop coins out of support, they vanish, "delete" coins. This can influence a lot on the the trustworthiness of the coin. Are there any plans for a bigger exchange?

If ROIcoin does not get a decent exchange before the next crypto currency price jump, then it will miss a huge chance for growth. We are all here, because we think it will grow, hoping to sell something when the price rises. If it proves to be a stable coin, which stands strong next to the big names, then it will eventually become one of them. It has staking, it has mining, it has quick wallet and network, transactions are very fast and very cheap.
Only if it had a decent exchange...

hello any news about the wallet on the roadmap it mentioned 5th november!
Come on team, you promised a working wallet! This is very important for the development of this coin. No decentralization exists before a normal wallet exists. Another thing it is not fair to share my link for refering people for bounty, but be limited to 12 referals. I have now refered more than 20 people, but received recognition for only 12. Please keep your promise and release the wallet.

Add to that the last fork which punishes the miners. Add to that a light node which barely pays off the VPS it sits on.
The crypto is suffering heavily and that is the nature of the blockchain. It's not stopping just because someone feels insecure and wastes money on electricity. Many coins will die out, XDNA might be one of them, or it might survive. It all depends on the investments and the devs.
My vision for the future is big corporations buying out blockchains for personal use. If those blockchains can transfer coins between different chains and values, then it MIGHT become some semi-universal form of payment.
Scenario 2: a supply chain of some bussiness adopts a certain coin and it becomes so big that it gets global. Example: flower shops.
I know that a lot of people here invested heavily in XDNA and want to reach ROI. The only way to do it is to invest more or spend time making XDNA popular (as I did).

I see the future without mining. But still you should not deny that it will always be.
mining most likely will not disappear, still some kind of coin will be mined, there are countries where cheap electricity and mining will work there You keep in mind that the complexity of mining is constantly growing. In a few years, it will be as difficult and impossible to get Bitcoin for a large farm as it is to get Bitcoin on a home computer now. While difficulty grows, compute power also grows. If difficulty grows too quickly (as it happened recently with all coins due to hype), the tech is left behind and you need to double the number of compute units. That makes the price go down, and diff to stop growing (as it happens now) or even go down for unpopular coins. The next wave of new compute hardware will again boost the numbers. It's always a chase game.

Realy - have no idea why LTHN topic is not poplar) We have product but a lot of scam cn coins whithout it have tones of replyes) Realy guess..
it will become more and more popular when people will use the "intense" VPN, Lethean is a must have! I've mever had to use VPN to protect my privacy or other use. So i had no idea how much does it cost. So I checked and it turns out it is around $12 per month. Thr price is for a pretty secure VPN with 6000 exit servers. Do you thing Lethean VPN will be able to match the quality, number of exit nodes and make it cheaper?

As the miner was doing it's thing, here is what caught my attention:
[2018-10-28 20:55:58] [upx.poolbux.com:5555] read error: "end of file" [2018-10-28 20:55:58] no active pools, stop mining
And then it resumed as if nothing happened. Any idea why?

Hello, I got over 30 VPS. What do you recommend to mine on these? I used to mine Verium.
If you have VPS, mine something that later can be used on the VPS for hosting a masternode and staking the coins. The only drawback is that most coins require 1000 of them to start staking. So you need a few hundred $$ to run a masternode. There are also exceptions, but i never dag deeper so far. If you find some chap CPU coin which is also stake-able, please post it here.

Hi JCE, Could you add support for this coin: UplexaIt is a CPU only minable (so far). It is using a modified Cryptonight V1 (lite) or atleast that is what they say. It is a brand new one but has a good start. It's aim will be to gather hashrate from IOT devices. Thanks!

Hi team, as in every new project, there are a lot of questions and uncertainties.
1. Where is the wallet? How can I transfer coins from one address to the other? 2. Why there is only one pool? 3. How is it decentralized? 4. Which exchanges are planned? 5. You mentioned IOT devices, but I did not see any IOT implementation in Github. Can you provide a real world example of IOT device which works on the network?

Last months is really hard to find CPU-coins for mining. I get only 0.2$ from Gen7 i7 CPU. Is it typical now or I should search more carefully CPU-only projects?
Found a brand new CPU coin: UPlexaThey are so new that they still offer airdrop for early access users. Coin is CPU inable only (modified CN V1 algo) and ASIC resistant. I have not mined it personally yet, but my new Ryzen arrives tomorrow and I will try it on Tuesday. If anyone else tries it before me, please share your experience.

Hi Pallas 1. Thanks. 2. What do you mean by "after that"? 3. Indeed. 4. The network needs more HASHRATE, that is more miners. More nodes is good, but doesn't protect against those kind of attacks. 5. Not sure what you mean. Look at GitHub to see how often we commit.
2. bug wallet release 4. hashrate will go up when $$ goes up (e.g. when many LTHN nodes are live) 5. Monero V8 became live on the 11th of October. Lethean was attacked 10 days later. Then Lethean was updated to V8. If this trend continues (someone wealthy to attempt attacks on smaller networks), and it will, updating on time will be cruical.

Thanks for the detailed information. I'm really sorry to hear that it was that easy to bring a whole network down. Too bad that it took several days for everything to go back to normal. This goves me some important information: 1. The team is trustworthy and cares about the coin. 2. They are quick when things are critical, but not that quick after that. 3. If Lethean is a target for someone, than it must be worth it. 4. The network needs more peers. When a simple node instalation guide is available, many new nodes will help avoiding such attacks. 5. Regular code updates will be needed from now on.

Thank you all for your effort and for supporting the good cause of XDNA Research contest, where we used our (mining?) rigs for folding and helped on the fight to cure diseases.
In such a short duration of only 2 months, the XDNA team made it to the rank 755 among all the teams existing for years!
We'd love it if everyone would like to keep folding, but regarding the rewards the positions were locked today at 21:00 (GMT) and the rewards have already been sent to the top 5 places and 50 XDNA among every other participant.
1st place - 1000 2nd place - 500 3rd place - 300 4-5th places - 200
It has been the first step in our series of science-supporting events, we will announce our decision on the Second Program soon enough!
Hi, can you share some more information on this project? It looks interesting.

Webchain is CPU minable coin, same as Monero and other coins mentioned in this topic. It's listed #1 (most profitable coin to mine) here http://minecryptonight.net/Of course this changes, but that's how it is now, #1 and same as all other cryptonight coin it can be mined by GPU but without big advantage, please google about specifics of cryptonight and you will learn that GPUs don't have such huge advantage as for example when mining bitcoin or ethereum. Check this page for example https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/CryptoNight to understand how it works. GPUs don't have a huge advantage? You mean you can cram 12 CPUs on a single board? Even if you find a way to do it, how much power draw will they have? How much space they are going to take? How noisy? You can just go in any computer shop and buy these CPUs and a single motherboard? I would agree that: CPU mining Cryptonight is also profitable, but GPUs will always have advantage. I have never heard 12, but quad opteron and quad xeon's are known for cryptonight mining. For reference, SuperMicro has that kind of board. https://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon/C620/X11QPH_.cfmThough it exist, the cost is extremely high. Because it isn't mass produced and was only used for mission critical applications. Quite an interesting board. As you also pointed out, it is a server board which costs a lot. And you can always go to any shop or order online a bunch of Vega-s with a cheap 80 bucks mobo and some risers and you're into mining in no time. Any new interesting CPU coins?

An announcement that something will be announced, after other things are announced? This is not instagram and we are not 13. If you want serious support you must provide serious info.
So far we see only promises and plans. I like the plans you make, but so far they are not backed up bu real world product.
That results in price drop and much less supporters.
I'll give another chance to the project to see some real (atleast half done) product. After that I'll move to something more promising.

There are already a lot of questions on this topic that I do not even know whether it is still important to talk or not. In 2018 you can buy any crypt, Bitcoin or ETH. Now the market is red, and only by the end of 2018 it will grow.
Yes, it is now cheaper to buy coins compared to mining or the beginning of the year. However i would like to know why do you think that crypto will grow at the end of 2018? Is it a word of god, some analysis you have done, a hunch or because the same happened last year, or you just hope? A lot of people say the same, but none of them wants to explain why. I'm not arguing, just asking.

I'm glad development keeps on going. I personally prefer Bitcointalk over Medium, but if it works for you, Medium it is. Video can be secondary, but much worse for informing people for detailed updates as these. Whatever you do, just keep updates coming
