381  Other / Meta / Re: [Discussion] Forum tipping service on: January 07, 2024, 11:48:49 PM
I think this is an excellent idea and I can definitely get behind it! I have been thinking for a while that this forum needs something of this sort. I would also love to see a Btalk Lotto fund that could be awarded to any active user on this website that contributes. Wow I hope this happens. Keep up the great work here Black Hat!
382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Power Of Bitcoin on: January 07, 2024, 11:46:10 PM

Nevertheless me falling short of the first opportunity of buying Bitcoin I'm still hoping of an opportunity to present it self so I can get the little bit of Bitcoin to my custody and I also advise both my friends and enemies to buy as much cryptocurrency they can because cryptocurrency is the currency of the future.

Don't wait for the opportunity my friend the opportunity is now! Dollar cost average however much you can afford to lose and do it religiously and make sure that you find yourself a proper airgapped wallet and make sure that you keys are secure and stored properly in a very safe guarded place. You have also got to think about BTC man, stick with just that one currency and you will be good!
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin History Book - Chance to have your own page - 10 pages available! on: January 07, 2024, 11:43:30 PM
Well i've got to say that this is a very tempting offer, but it is a lot of work to do all of this in exchange for notoriety and I think that ought to be worth it I will have to think on this one! It would be a lot of fun to have my research and work published in this book. I assume you would intend to have this book in a hard back copy, maybe it could even be a major success! It is a fun effort and great concept: a community written history book on bitcoin. Maybe that can be the sequel.
384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's Your Exchange to Wallet Ratio? on: January 07, 2024, 11:39:53 PM
My exchange to wallet ratio is 1 to 99% lol. Don't keep any of your money on exchanges for long periods of time. Do what you are set out to do and do it all in one shot IMO. you don't want to risk getting hacked and losing everything. That is generally my rule of thumb, there is no use keeping anytihng on exchanges you just don't want that kind of stuff to happen to you! Have heard enough from crazy stories.....

386  Economy / Economics / Re: Used cars and real estate market very volatile and a lot people will fomo in on: January 07, 2024, 07:42:24 PM
Just wait until they don't make gas cars anymore and when PE firms now own all the single family homes in the world. I hope it doesn't get to that but at this rate the cars and gas will take a very long time to go completely, but shoot when they do the cars will be considered collectibles and sold at extremely high premiums. W/ the housing rates the way that they are it's definitely a hard time to get in rn ngl.
387  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sudden Flash Crash vs Slow Bleed - Which actually kills Investor(s)? on: January 07, 2024, 07:39:19 PM
As long as you HODL and sell for much higher of a price when the market is in a good place as far as i'm concerned you're doing alright. Define "good place" though. There are a lot of regretful sellers who sell all of their holdings too soon and miss out on huge gains, there are also some that never sold at all, some never even bought! I think the most important thing here is to hold on as long as you possibly can and never settle for a low return. Find your number you're happy with, hope and pray to God it gets there and when it does sell a portion or all so that you can live your life w/o regrets.
388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Someone just sent 26 BTC to genesis block address on: January 07, 2024, 07:30:37 PM
If it was an error then that was a big error to make! I can't believe someone could just shoot over an entire fortune like that, its just wild to think of! Perhaps it was a flex or perhaps it was an accident we never really may know the truth. If it was meant to be on purpose certainly they have a boatload of bitcoin!
389  Economy / Economics / Re: Currency is Passé on: January 07, 2024, 07:19:48 PM
For the most part I for one think that cash us the ultimate convenience. If your phone or computer runs out of battery you can't use crypto right then and there, if you have cash it is a simple transanction. If you use credit cards you pay all these little fees that add up a lot. I wish I could say that crypto transactions are convenient for your every day person but that just isn't the case especialliy with these crazy fees.
390  Economy / Economics / Re: Habits that can lead to your financial failure in 2024 on: January 07, 2024, 06:50:17 PM
The procrastination is the silent killer, that is probably the most important one. The "i'll do it tomorrow" attitude has to be left in 2023 if you want to achieve your success! I also agree that doing anything that wastes time is definitely going to put you in jeapordy and I think this also falls in the procrastination category as well because most people put off important things to waste time on something completely useless to themselves.
391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Inverse Cramer Strikes Again on: January 06, 2024, 04:36:04 AM
I think the only thing that can best Cramer is going to have to be Bitcoin haha. As resiliant as Bitcoin is its the only asset that can take on Jim. How dare he speak positively about Bitcoin! Its an outrage! Its a scandal! hahaha. For real though I am laughing but at the same time cramer has been too bearish, just once lets make this a bullish one for real Jimbo!

392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We dont own enough bitcoin on: January 06, 2024, 03:18:28 AM
If we have this mindset then we will always be trying to get as much of it as we can. Lets face it, getting BTC is at this point more rewarding for the average person than buying Real Estate, Gold, Silver, Oil stock, etc. Lets keep stacking! I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH, WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH!!! STACK SATS!!

There's a saying that says 'too much of everything is bad' as much as we want to own more Bitcoin, at some point we have to stop buying because it might not be good for us.

Keep stacking sats but know when you have stack enough and take a break. Don't invest everything you have into Bitcoin, a time will come that you will need cash but you don't have any because you have invested all in Bitcoin and selling becomes a problem for you. I know people that are addicted to their assets they don't have physical cash but they have assets and can't sell them for cash because of the addiction of wanting more of that assets.

Being in that type of situations won't be good for our health, stack Bitcoin but don't stack more than you can afford to lose, don't stack an amount that will make your mind troubled when the markets sees a correction. You should be comfortable with any directions the market moves because you're in for long game and not looking to get a quick one and move on. We should be able to balance everything, while you stack Bitcoin, also stack cash for your daily expenses.

Agreed. I would like to follow up with the fact that I would never invest beyond my means and financial obligations unless I made a way to earn it as an income and accumulate it that way. I am all for stacking as many SATS as we can, and what i'm really going with here is that we should really strive to get as many as we are capable of because it is such a scarce asset.
393  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Bitcoin Penny Company Issues- Undelivered work/Money owed/Lack of updates on: January 06, 2024, 02:14:08 AM
Wow, this is a very sad thing to see indeed another crypto collectible maker flipping the coin in the wrong direction!!! I'm glad I never ended up ordering any of his treasure pieces - if you read the thread somewhere in there he basically cursed himself and that treasure so you shouldn't want it in the first place lmao. Go look it up. Kind of funny, even though he is probably joking but honestly words are spells thats why its called spelling and the tounge is both life and death so watch what you say and do! I for one would not like to have this kind of karma on myself but hey BP wants it he can get it, I just hope to turns around and makes it right I think he still has some time to make amends.....
394  Economy / Collectibles / Satori Made the Bloomberg Article Picture Discussing ETF Topic on: January 05, 2024, 09:50:24 PM
Its always fun seeing some just a little more than your typical bitcoin coin image of some china alloy reproduction bitcoin in the bitcoin articles. Here in this bloomberg piece we see a satori casually placed in the bottom left corner on the header image. If you're reading this right now you are part of a select group of people who know what this is and that deserves a pat on the back.  https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-01-05/bitcoin-btc-etf-issuers-clear-major-hurdle-for-sec-approval?embedded-checkout=true
395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 15 year anniversary of Bitcoin Genesis block 3 Jan 2024 on: January 05, 2024, 09:42:32 PM
Thanks for sharing this wonderful framed copy of the genesis block in physical form! If that belongs to you then congratulations it belongs in a museum. Satoshi's patientence paid off with that one because it is such a profound statement to embed into the very first block. Man I wish I had a physical copy of that one they are no doubt highly valuable. Crazy to think now that was 15 years ago!
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / We dont own enough bitcoin on: January 04, 2024, 10:35:19 PM
The thought and belief of not having enough of something brings forth the constant pursuit of that object. Thus, acting as if we never have enough of a resource will allow us cognitively to always be looking to acquire said resource and then eventually this will lead to a surplus, right? Gosh I hope so! Becuase I sure need to get more BTC and I don't have enough!!!

I was just watching a youtube from KITCO NEWs with Gary Cardone. Thats right, Gary Cardone NOT his asshole brother Grant Cardone LMAO!!!! Gary had a lot of great things to say that were extremely logical and bullish. I'll put the link in here later. https://youtu.be/6t2wjT9s0xE?si=Opc4s1B8K83Q9SmS

397  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: IRS Criminal Investigation Unit Is Taking on More Crypto Tax Cases on: January 03, 2024, 09:49:03 PM
This doesn't suprise me at all. As BTC becomes more prevalent we should expect that the IRS is more strict w/ where all that money is moving and its in their nature to try and control it. Just look at the new regulations that they are putting in place to help them do just that. I am curious to see how everyone reacts to the new regulation and to see how they expect to enforce them.
398  Bitcoin / Legal / New Crypto Tax Law In US 10k+ Transactions Must Report to IRS in 15 Days on: January 03, 2024, 09:43:10 PM
Here is the Article:

https://news.bitcoin.com/new-crypto-tax-law-takes-effect-in-us-transactions-of-10000-or-more-must-be-reported-to-irs-within-15-days/

As of Jan 1st 2024. They are asking you to report who is sending the funds you also need to include the name, physical address, social security number, transaction amount, and nature of the transaction.

Read more on DailyCoin: https://dailycoin.com/new-irs-crypto-law-targets-traders-with-ambiguous-tax/

I think this is completely ludacris, and they only give you 15 days to do it or they state that you could potentially get a felony, I mean is this some kind of joke?

This is honestly on par with FinCen requirements for ISOs and Money Service Businesses but for crypto instead of cash. Honestly how are they going to enforce this strict policy?

400  Economy / Economics / The Jim Cramer affect on Bitcoin.... on: January 03, 2024, 06:37:27 PM
Jim has this awful reputation in case you didn't know. Basically everything he says the opposite happens. They even made the reverse Cramer ETF lmao. Now the worst has happened and he has said BTC is going to the moon! I hope BTC is strong enough to weather this storm lmao..... https://twitter.com/WatcherGuru/status/1742574566948446441?t=Lq4TuNvvT4-l10UF_UKYqg&s=19
