My thoughts too... BRO is more memorable than XBR, and obviously a more suitable symbol for marketing purposes.

Smart move. J9901 jumps on every single coin thread, makes a bunch of asinine posts, then when the coin value fluctuates downwards at all, he comes back to rub it in, as if anyone cares. Once in a while, one of the dozens of coins he soils with his drivel turns out to be a scam, like equinox. Then he feels like he called it, as if he could predict the winner of next year's superbowl. The guy has no life to speak of. I used to be annoyed by these trolls, but now I just pity them. This is all they have. It's sad. There's been a lot of research that points to socio and psycho pathologies underlying troll behavior. Unfortunately, these tendencies accompany a lot of other problematic behavior related to sadism. |

BRO is fine and sounds good. Why XBR and not ZBR, WBR, FBR, iBR, xBR(O), QBR or whatever? It would be better to have a poll.
A three letter code starting with X is an ISO standard. ZBR, WBR, etc., don't follow that pattern. |

If they're planning a ticker change, I rather see it change to something as memorable as BRO, but not as intimidating as XBR... X's are too intimidating IMO...  Bitcoin (BTC) Litecoin (LTC) ---> BreakOutCoin (BRC) or (BRK)That said, a community vote is always a great idea. The community vote should be for what letters come after the "X". It's not about intimidation. The three letter ticker that starts with an "X" designates a currency that is not issued by a national government. This is an ISO standard. The question is whether the BRO team wants to make sure their crypto is taken as seriously as possible. It effects the market cap. Monero changed from MRO to XMR for this reason, when its market cap was about 1/2 that of BYTE. BRO is a great ticker symbol for play money. XBR conforms to an ISO standard and communicates that BreakoutCoin is to be taken seriously as a cryptocurrency. When will the wallets be released .... when do we get our coins ? Anyone know ?
It's going to be a while. They have to have a 2nd round ICO. They can't release wallets until the ICO is finished because they need to know to whom to distribute Bergstake. And they are going to be smart and have a working demo platform before the 2nd round of the ICO. Hopefully after the 2nd round ICO, they distribute the coins and Bergstake, then premine the rest they need for private sales (understood to be without Bergstake), then destroy the associated Bergstake. And then they will show even greater intelligence by changing the market ticker to XBR. |

The dev still seems to check bitcointalk quite frequently. He prob just has nothing good to say, or to update us with so he's keeping quiet. This community has some good devs throughout it, and it has proven to be a good staking coin. So even if this dev did flake, the coin would not die. Buy/Hold/Stake.
Says he who sponsored, supported and promoted the dev and the coin AND who owns over 25% of all SEED. Seems legit... Price going up. Troll coming back out. Welcome back troll. |

Hello BRO community, After the close of the 1st phase of the coin sale, I realize that there has been a lack of updates. I think most of us wanted to wait until we can show you something solid but after catching up on the thread, I think that was a mistake and we need to keep everyone informed regularly. Our first priority is to prepare a preview demo of the gaming software that media representatives and early BRO adopters can test first hand. The team is in high gear to make this happen in a short timeline. We will soon after make this available to the general public to beta test before we open the BRO coin sale part deux.Now that's probably where I should stop but I'm going to add a quick bullet point synopsis of what the Breakout Gaming team is working on. I should insert a disclaimer here saying that none of the following items are promises but simply works in progress... but the lawyers are on holiday so here we go.  - Finishing up poker table designs for mobile, desktop client, and flash based instant play. Specifically improving the design of our PRO table for multi-tabling and making it easy on the eyes for long grinding sessions. - Talking to 3rd party companies to potentially increase our casino gaming offerings up to 200 games. Looking at the feasibility of adding lottery, bingo, scratch offs, jackpot slots, live dealer games - Working with our PR company to get into major print publications and present our gaming demo for them to test - Setting up server hosting and setup for launch - Setting up affiliate and mlm infrastructure - Meeting with interested VC investors - Setting up Agent codes for 2nd wave of Pro Player brand ambassadors - Eliminating various display and user flow issues from internal testing More specific updates with screenshots and naming names to come! |

I was planning on investing a fairly large amount of Bitcoins in the upcoming coin sale, but with these dead beat Devs, I may just go invest somewhere else. LOL. you think you're draper? To think that I was there when BlockChainr single-handedly killed BroCoin using nothing but the power of his own disinterest. Don't get me wrong, my confidence level in the success of this project is very high, however, I can't sit here and wait forever on a Devs announcement that was supposed to be made two weeks ago, while other investment opportunities inside and outside crypto are passing by. Can you remind us what is the specific announcement that they were supposed to make? |

I think it's the dev. From what I could decipher, he didn't have an address at the very top of the rich list which means he was probably too busy to manage his coins well during the high staking period when he was hammered by technical problems. He successfully navigated his coin through the worst time but had few coins to show for it, so his best bet is to buy on the cheap and remain silent while weak hands slowly bleed off coins. This wouldn't be the first time it happened. Practically no one would buy seed right now without inside knowledge. One thing is for sure, though: they are not buying mine. |
