The day 3 effect you mentioned is the whole reason I added the jackpots. If we get a lot of traffic, then the biggest winners might just be the people that play on day 7 and get that final jackpot.

These are just games. have fun playing them all. I've put BTC into all of these ones that are currently running.

More games lets people get in early with several options. With the jackpots that are set up on this variation, even some of the later people that would lose at other double trouble games can walk away with something from this one. As long as all the pots/banks empty when the games end, there will be the same total BTC lost regardless of how many games are being played.

new game at http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=22418.0

Welcome to Double Trouble with a Double Jackpot!!!

At the core of this game is the normal double trouble: you pay in an amount (at least 1.0BTC), and when the bank has double that amount, you get paid double what you put in.
To spice things up a bit and hopefully keep the action rolling quickly I'm adding two types of jackpots.

Jackpot 1 will be paid to the address of every 10th transaction. (after the transaction is confirmed, and I'm at home to make the payout) The transaction order will be determined by what shows up in my bitcoin client since multiple transactions will have the same timestamp when looking at block explorer.

Jackpot 2 will be split between the last 2 people to enter before this round closes. (Friday 6/24 10:00 PM EDT) This time will also be based off of my client, and a screenshot will be posted to validate.

So, how does the jackpots get their BTC? When you send in BTC, 4% will get taken off the top before it goes to the bank: 2% for the opperator, 1% for jackpot 1, and 1% for jackpot 2. If someone sends in more than 5.0 BTC in a single transaction, then the operator cut will go to the jackpots instead (1% extra each). Larger transactions mean larger jackpots and more winning, so play big!

Minimum bid is 1.0 BTC. Anything below 1.0 BTC will be counted as a donation to the jackpots

Round 1 ends: Friday 6/24 10:00 PM EDT. Any transactions that come in after this time (acording to my bitcoin client) will be automatically rolled into the next round of play.

Send bids to:

Check Block Explorer at:http://blockexplorer.com/address/13kYwafd73DazBZmSDSBAKEMgaT3mtNYGF

Check the google spreadheet at: https://spreadsheets1.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=teDqqm5AnOKrWlrLQql8uPQ&authkey=CInd2KMM#gid=0

Let me know if the spreadsheet has any errors, or needs any explination. It makes sense to me, but that doesn't mean it makes sense to everyone.
Please post any suggestions and I will consider them for the next round.

Disclaimer: This is a game, and there is a chance you will lose the BTC you put in if not enough people behind you play. If you don't like the rules, make a respectful comment, or simply don't play this variation.
Disclaimer 2: I'm human with a family, a monday-friday 8-5 job, and I enjoy sleeping at least 6 hours a day. I will update the spreadsheet and make payouts as often as I can (I'll guarantee at least 4 times a day).

I have a 6950 running on an older AMD board that is PCIe 2.0

Looking at the market depth, there seems to be a prop at $15 that should hold the market there unless a lot of people decide to dump BTC.

Take em back while you can unless you want them for gaming. Mining isn't going to be able to pay back the cost of the cards any time soon, and it's getting worse.

Just my .02 BTC

In the end the US is going to be more worried about taxing bitcoin use than it is about trying to get rid of it. If they can find a way to tax it, then they will most likely promote it. For example: a store would associate their bitcoin address with their merchant/tax number and now they have a very easy accounting system of how much came in through the use of bitcoins.

In regards to MTgox, a lot of people are having issues getting money into and out of the exchange due to the Dwolla issues they are having. These issues are also causing many people to halt trading until the issues are resolved. This is at least one reason for the decreased volume.
