381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Latest investigation about coins stolen on: August 15, 2014, 09:17:30 AM
stopped reading at "infinitecoin wallet".

most of the alts are scam or maleware. just use bitcoin and litecoin and you are fine but thx for the info.

+1 here.

I only have btc/ltc and Guldencoin(NLG) , I really just don't trust any other coins.

Sorry to hear about another coin where the dev scammed people. Goodluck.

I have some news. Have asked a big bitcoin investor to look at nLG. If he likes what he sees will put a few btc towards the coin.
Lame pump attempt...

Good to see this wasn't a pump attempt. More of a investmest attempt.
Right now there isn't one coin under 100 in market cap with so much btc towards it

Looking good indeed! Guldencoin worth its weight in gold.

As you can see there is no point pushing the price up in massive amounts, this coin will have miners that don't even know how to spell gulden mining it and continue to sell off straight away.
A stable price that rises slowly is far better for the health of the coin and merchants who use it.

I placed an nice buy order, please provide me with the NLG i want

Just leave the buy order there , miners will dump out in bits and pieces. Wink

In the near future you will be able to buy LED Lightning , Mining Hardware and Games with NLG  Wink

Great!! Now BTC is in decline, I think it is time for BTC holders to invest in NLG  Cool

I just want to say NLG is holding value well, a lot of other coins dropping fast. The reason is simple, other coins are way overvalued and NLG is still way undervalued. I see no one is selling out at 82 and 83 which means the buyers will need to move up in price Smiley

386  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NLG] Guldencoin — Pay for food, books, drones, botox, toys and more on: August 13, 2014, 09:03:41 PM
Other alt coin prices have been dropping over 300% from a month ago. Blackcoin which is considered one of the better ones has gone from just under 30 000 to under 10 000. Same with many other alts atm. Litecoin down to USD 5.7 from 8 2 weeks ago. For the most part NLG has been very stable. When things turn around later this year it's going to be interesting times!
The fact our hash rate has gone up when NLG price has dropped slightly, shows how bad other coins are doing.

Since I have some bleutrade shares I've been looking into the other coins that are listed on that exchange. No wonder those coins are doing bad. They have NO added value over the fact that you can collect them. This week the following coins were added:
* CzechCrownCoin
* Darkfox
* eUtopium
* HoboNickels
* KeyCoin
* Monacoin
* OrbitCoin
* SonicScrewdriver

I checked the websites/ANN posts of most of them. They list the specs and their fancy name and that's it. No value, info on innovation or niche that it fills, or whatsoever. The funny thing is to read the trollbox, people saying how great an investment *coin is (hoping to pump and dump the coin). These people don't spend money on those coins (get them by trading or so) and people why buy coins, don't buy those. As a result the market "value" drops. I mostly put them on the market for NLG.

Correct me if I'm wrong but with 4.7 million coins mined a day and a steady price between 80 and 100 Sat the value of NLG goes up. In my opinion at least   Grin.

I believe it's 470 000 coins a day. At current prices and if all coins were dumped out it would need about .4 btc to maintain. Very cheap Wink

i'm still learning a lot about cryptocurrencies but here are my thoughts on NLG mining and current price.  Let me know if I'm way off on any of this..

NLG coins per day:

Block reward: 1000 NLG coins per block
Target blocktime: 2.5 minutes
# of NLG coins mined per hour (60/2.5 * 1000) ==  24,000
# of NLG coins mined per day (24,000 * 24) == 576,000

NLG profitability:

Currently litecoin profitability is ~0.00042000 BTC per MH/s per day
Current NLG profitability is ~0.00046000 BTC per MH/s per day (assuming 1 NLG == 83 satoshi, 1,000 MH/s network hash rate)

So most scrypt miners who immediately convert to BTC to pay their bills are better off pointing their rigs at Guldencoin than Litecoin at the moment.. especially when the NLG/BTC exchange rate is above 90 satoshi and network hashrate stays around 1,000 MH/s as it has been the last few weeks.   However, if lots of miners start mining NLG and the NLG network difficulty goes up, those miners who need to convert to BTC right away will have to sell their NLG for a higher BTC price in order to beat litecoin profitability..  otherwise they'll switch to something else more profitable.  So based on current network difficulty, hash rate, and LTC profitability, miners who are only interested in converting NLG to BTC would be happy with anything above 80 satoshi per NLG.   The next few months will be interesting for NLG and all scrypt coins with the introduction of the relatively cheap 500MH/s and 750MH/s mining devices.

Of course, people who believe in the future growth of the Guldencoin economy look at the price of 80 satoshi and think it's a bargain. I personally am a believer, amazed at what has been accomplished so far.. the fact that there are some merchants that don't accept BTC but accept NLG blows my mind.

On the topic of total NLG coin, I think it was a very smart move designing the coin such that there will be 1.7 billion NLG in circulation.  I know people that are turned off by bitcoin simply because of the price.. thinking they can't afford to get into bitcoin because a single bitcoin will cost them 600 USD.  In 15 or so years, when most NLG are in circulation, if Guldencoin has a market cap of $80 million USD, a single NLG would be worth around 5 US cents.  I could see myself arriving at schiphol airport and buying a cup of coffee for 100 Guldencoin.  Very easy to understand from a consumer point of view.  Versus that transaction with bitcoin would be something arbitrary like 0.00003951.

I think that is a good way of looking at things. Right now .41 btc will buy you a full days worth of mining, 1.7 billions coins also means only 1700 people can own a million and 576 000 * 365 = 210 million coins a year until the block rate halves. This means only 210 people can become NLG millionaires every year. Smiley
840 million in 4 years and that will be half the coins mined out.

387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Suggestions to prevent scammers launch new shitcoins on: August 10, 2014, 09:32:36 PM
My bet is Guldencoin being the surprise package by the end of 2014... you should see the updates coming for it and marketcap is above 120 still. I will put my cock on a block and say top 100 by December and top 50 end of next year.
The problem is people are looking at making quick money and losing big time. The good coins will still come out on top even if they trading at under 1 btc volume today.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: CoinMarketCap.com - Market Cap Rankings of All Cryptocurrencies! on: August 03, 2014, 07:18:00 PM
Hi CoinmarketCap Support.

EFL - Electronic Gulden is including premine in marketcap value. It should be like AUR which only has mined coins included. The premine for EFL is 10 500 000 (50% of total coins) or have the rules changed and coins can say if they have spent Premine?

This would be bad as devs could dump out to themselves and claim premine is on the market.

You are telling something what is not true.

Only the EFL premine coins which are in circulation are added up to the total marketcap.

They have an influence on the current price per coin. Everyone can buy and sell them now because they are in circulation.

So it's more than logical that they are added up to the current marketcap.

This will open a can of worms for other premine coins to abuse... the whole reason coinmarketcap changed the system was because it was unfair to coins that didn't use a premine at all.

Tomorrow I can create a coin with 90% premine, find a quick and seemingly plausible way to dump them onto the market and boost the marketcap way above how it was entered into the market via decentralized methods.

I think coinmarketcap will need to explain the situation going forward so all coins can be on a level playing field otherwise just add the premine like it was before and let people decide what coins they want to back.

I have already PM'd Gliss about this and it will be corrected soon. So don't panic, all the other coins values are fine from what I can tell. Israel coin has 90% premine and would be a top 20 coin if the premine was included. It looks to be a mistake that was made for this one.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EFL] Electronic Gulden Foundation (foundation being established) on: August 02, 2014, 01:00:07 AM
1. The Foundation was established on July 3rd,  2014 as this was the only way to rescue the e-Gulden from perdition.

2. A tremendous amount of effort is being put into the further development of our coin. As a first step we’ve launched our new website, today, at http://e-gulden.org. We have also released new versions of the e-Gulden wallets. You can download these on the new site.

I saw on Poloniex awhile back that the original devs set this coin up as a scam and they still hold majority of the premine, very risky and something you should mention to investors.
I take it EFL bagholders who were caught out feel they need to carry on with the coin but 99% of us have lost to scams at some point, no point beating a dead horse.

Do you guys know about Guldencoin? It's backed by a honest team and never been part of a scam like EFL. This will always come back to bite your coin in the future... the Dutch should unite and support one coin. imo

I am not Dutch btw but I think Guldencoin is great!

The E-Gulden is much better. The E-Gulden has a bigger community and a bigger market cap.
The halve reward of the E-Gulden will be this year in November.
The E-Gulden has been in all the Dutch media.
The current hashrate is 20 times bigger from the start of the Foundation.
The value has also increased from the start of the Foundation.
The E-Gulden has also some other advantages.
On the long run the E-Gulden will beat Guldencoin!!

10 million premine (50%), 8,840,835 mined already, which means close to 95% of the coins already in circulation and in a few hands. Once your block reward halves your hashrate will halve unless you are preparing to pump the price and manipulate the market. This will be easy since the coin is very cheap. While you pump the price, the original dev group will be ready to dump out and smiling all the way to the bank.

Goodluck Smiley

21.000.000 total amount of coins

10.500.000 premine coins >> 5.039.340 off the premine coins in hands of the foundation >> 50% of the premine coins..
10.500.000 coins to be mined

In circulation 8.840.835 >> More than 40% in circulation. >> 3.383.974 is mined. The other 5.456.861 coins are premine coins

If you do your math the right way.....

10.500.000 premine coins.. minus the
5.456.861 sold premine coins
------------------------------
5.043.139 premine coins not on the market minus
5.039.340 premine coins in hands of the foundation
--------------------------------------------------
3799 of the premine coins in hands of the original devs.....

So the original devs have probably only a small amount of the premine coins of nothing at all....

Litesire..Your story is based on thin air.
Do your math before you say something...

Alright the problem is I was looking at coinmarketcap which is incorrectly reflecting the total mined coins. When you have a premine coinmarketcap doesn't include the premine, however they have included 5 million of your premine inflating EFLs total free market value by over 60%.

Your total coins as of this post is 13 888 775 according to http://cryptoblox.com/chain/Electronic%20Gulden?count=20

So right now your true marketcap should be around $23992.5 at current prices. 13 888 775(total) - 10 500 000(premine) = 3388775 * $ 0.007080 = $23992.57

Rightfully your coin should be 183 rd position which I do remember it being about a week or 2 ago, so someone must of requested the change on your end. Wink

This is why I came to the figure I did earlier as I took coinmarketcaps coin total for EFL + premine.

Cinni Explorer has following error.

Error!
Can't connect to cinnicoind to get live updates from the p2p network. (Tried connecting to cinnicoind at 127.0.0.1:31813 and failed.)

I am having a hard time telling what your problem actually is. The fact that you said you had 65000 blocks left to sync after using the bootstrap.dat file means you did not use it correctly. You would be nearly up to sync using it. As far as your balance goes, have you a lot of experience using POS wallets? Just asking because a lot of people get confused about what it does to the balances while staking. If the blockchain says your balance is 13507.823669 CINNI than that is your balance.

Block explorer is working fine for me: http://cinnichain.info/address/Jav1xpgfFtqrjLE99Lj5C75eHtLkVAMkRf

Your problem with spending is you are not up to sync.

Thanks for your reply Andy,

Alright I see the block explorer is connecting again...
Regarding the 65000 blocks left this was for the full resync as using the bootstrap twice before did not solve my issue. The full resync also had the same result.
I have not replaced the wallet.dat file and the balance now get reset to 10713, however if you look on the explorer its showing 13507.988025 (which is not right), I tried sending
the 10k to mintpal again and still saying that the coins have been spent and transaction failed. It then deducts the 10k from my balance and have to restore the wallet file to get it back.

The balance it's showing now seems correct after restoring the wallet but the problem of using the balance in there still exists.

Below is the full error message:

"Error: The transaction was rejected. This might happen if some of the coins in your wallet were already spent, such as if you used a copy of wallet.dat and coins were spent in the copy
but not marked as spent here."

Regarding the above error once I had purchased CINNI I sent 2 amounts from Mintpal to my wallet but never ever sent CINNI out.

if you don't have a backup before your first stake you can kiss the CINNI goodbye. The goodnews is you only losing 0.15 btc at current prices but it might be safer for the rest of the community to leave there CINNI  on exchanges or make sure to do constant backups and have multiple backups from different dates.

I am doing my last attempt now to try resolve the issue using cinblo latest bootstrap file with earliest version of wallet.dat.

I don't fancy my chances here and I think you are right. Will write it off and move on, goodluck to the rest of you and hope your fortunes with CINNI end up being a lot better then mine.

use -rescan after you have synced the blockchain completely.  your coins will still be there if you have never spent a partial input from that address.  If you have spent partially from an input of one of your addresses then like any other crypto, you will have a change address that the unspent amount will have sent to.  as long you are using the original wallet.dat that you can retreive the privatekey for those change addresses if needed.   if you wallet.dat is not corrupt (its loads without an error or funny characters), -rescan will scan the blockchain correct your wallet.dat to what the blockchain shows for the address.

I just want to thank everyone for trying to help, the community is good and you all deserve better then what you are currently being treated. After using the latest bootstrap provided by cinblo the wallet reset me to having 9649. CINNI, which is just under 1000 of the true amount I had and under 3800 compared to what the blockchain is showing. The difference this time is I was able to send the funds without it giving me a error.

Even though I am confident the price will go up in the future as I do think the coin is undervalued now, I have decided to sell out on CINNI, even though I have lost 60% , it could of been a 100% if the workarounds did not restore my balance to 85% of what it was.

Goodluck to the community and hope someone comes to save the day.

What a fucking disaster this has been for me. Even after a stake nothing has been corrected. Is xtrembash and I the only ones that have lost coins with the wallet?
I messaged the dev(and got no response) about for some reason receiving extra coins in my wallet after staking but then it auto-corrected itself.  However it happened again several days later.  This time it didn't correct itself.  Either way I figured my wallet was fucked up.  Fortunately I had saved my wallet several times and just had to roll back to a previous version before the last stake.  I didn't really know what to do until I actually decided to cash in my cinnicoin because I never got a response from him.  First, I tried sending my coins(a small amount) to an exchange and it said I had no coins.  At that point they were all gone from my wallet. So as I previously stated I had to roll back to an earlier wallet before the last staking and it worked out fine.  Hopefully you have backed it up plenty?

I tried sending funds to mintpal, came with a error that the coins have been spent and deducted off my balance. Block Explorer is down, I have a wallet saved before this last stake so will see what happens when I try to restore it.

thx for reply

but swish, do you really think i didnt try to simply restart wallet ?! lol
you re really funny

yea i deleted the blockchain and i redwl it
i have no choice Sad

is there a commande option like-salvagewallet for cinni wallet ?!
because transaction such isn't present. Probably the wallet didn't create it therefore it is necessary to restart a wallet simply.

Transaction Not Found

yea transaction not found    but 3k cinni are gone
that's the problem ...
So i'm a little crazy right now !

I had +-1100 CINNI missing after I had to restart my wallet, I tried restarting a few times and even using the blockchain.dat file provided by cinblo and using the resync command and still nothing has worked.

Since yesterday I started redownloading the blockchain and I am currently 65000 blocks away from a total resync. I will confirm if the total resync worked, if not then I will be selling before I give my final update and write off the loss in price and CINNI coins.

Alright redoing the blockchain did not help, so here is the strange part.

Wallet has balance of 9647.645446
Blockchain explorer is showing I have close to 14000 http://cinnichain.info/address/Jav1xpgfFtqrjLE99Lj5C75eHtLkVAMkRf
The real amount I should have is around 10708

So can anyone explain the issue?

Try send 100 CINNI to Mintpal and see if it refreshes the balance, if that does not work then wait for the next staking to occur and see what happens.

I tried sending funds to exchange and back, it did not have any effect on the wallet balance besides the 100 going in and out. I will wait for the next staking to occur and hold thumbs.

Unfortunately I only started with CINNI after 1.1 was released.
However now a 2nd stake has occurred and my wallet is now showing 11794 which is about 900 more then I should have, I am sure it will fail though if I try to send the full amount.

thx for reply

but swish, do you really think i didnt try to simply restart wallet ?! lol
you re really funny

yea i deleted the blockchain and i redwl it
i have no choice Sad

is there a commande option like-salvagewallet for cinni wallet ?!
because transaction such isn't present.
