I doubt if Stokes going to surpass Jacques Kallis even on batting, let alone Sobers. If he's focusing on only Test/ODI then there is some chance that he could play longer and come close to them but again their Test batting average is above 55 and Stokes is still under 40 average.
He always perform in big games tho, which is commendable. Ben Stokes will be in the class of Ian Botham and Andrew Flintoff and he could become the best all rounder England ever produced and it is a big shoe to fill considering i always felt Andrew Flintoff did not explore his full potential and the main reason is injuries and the performance in the 2005 Ashes where Flintoff was touching around 150 km/hr bowling deadly spells and scoring runs like he owns the pitch was a sight in itself. I have always suspected they do believe they have good "giveaways/competitions/promotions" but in the end we all know that is not even remotely close.
