Ok I had to come up with a name better than Dragonball Z: Open Source Project.. couldn't really come up with one so I reverted back to what I called it 10 years ago. Dragonball Z: The Forsaken Future. I am putting out some listings on a few sites I know of that handles games of this type(Mud), should help to bring in some players that like these sort of games. I have hired some new staff too, people that worked on the game in the past. There is Kisuke and Ghent. Kisuke is a C programmer and will be helping me do bug fixes and creating new content. Ghent will be there to enforce the game rules and help new players. Don't be afraid to stop by and join us: http://107.181.166.143/DBZOSP/wm_client/index.php?there are also specialized clients that connect to the game. Mush Client is top among most players. http://www.gammon.com.au/mushclient/mushclient.htmHost: 107.181.166.143 Port: 6500

Well if someone does decide to play, im working on making the menu more compact by integrating the number pad into the client for movement processing.
|
|
|
well some more updates on the client... got the buttons on the top right working, can now point and click basic commands
coin integration is rapidly moving to the top spot on my list of things to do, haha!
Just need some players, come on people!

already having to fix things web client-server side... the colors were a bit too dark, i thought it was an issue with the game, it wasnt.. turned out to be with the server for the web client.. it wasnt parsing the color codes from the game correctly and certain colors werent standing out like they should, now things look alot better... I have to go in and credit a few more things on the login screen, like myself for the original Dragonball The Forsaken Future code this was derived from(made that like 10 years ago..) Already fixing things.. no more dark hard to see colors

Ok, so things have been looking a bit slow around here. So while we wait on kalisto and Dragonball Online I decided to introduce another game that is similar to Dragon Knight. Introducing Coin2's Dragonball Z Open Source Project It is a multi anime/game themed text adventure or Mud. We have been working on creating a browser client for it. Its stable enough to be used now. This game is all live. Real Time communication, Turn Based Fighting, Quests, 30+ areas to explore, 15+ races with their own unique skills and abilities, Detailed Character Creation, 1000s of Items. Here is the client in its disconnected mode: This is it showing when there is a connection: This is it connected to the game and the login page. Yes I know its a bit dark, but were gonna change that. An extensive message system for player and admin communication. A sample room is located at the bottom of the screen. A detailed player score sheet, this ones mine, notice the amount of time I have worked on this, Played: 204 hours. My race is Fierian, here is the list of their skills and abilities: Area list, normal players have "Areas" command, I have "zones" which lists the amount of rooms used. This is playable now, I started this game back in 2005, and I ran it for about a year or so when games of its type were popular. To access the client (keep in mind we are working on it) go here: http://107.181.166.143/DBZOSP/wm_client/index.php?There are actual Clients available meant for this sort of game, Mush Client(free), Telnet(free), Gmud(free), Zmud(trial), Cmud(paid).. If you choose to go this route I suggest Mush Client or Zmud. I personally use Zmud, it is a paid client Anyway by using a designated program for this, things will look better and work better than our web client. You will need to look up how to connect to IP and Port for the client you choose. IP- 107.181.166.143 Port- 6500 We should be able to integrate coins into this one quickly, the game part itself is out of the way. If anyone knows C and understands how to implement Json API with it, that would be a big help, otherwise crypto integration could be slowed down just a tad while I study how to do it.

Sorry I didnt get a model update in last night, kinda got tired and passed out, but anyway here is the update today. Seems to be alot tougher going by an actual image rather than making things up as I go. just a little update on my progress for making new areas for dragonball online ok ive been working on the windows, took about 2 hours to create them, now im building the actual walls around them. hope it looks great in the game, its starting to look nice in blender Just a reminder, even though HYPER will be included in the game, this is a Coin2 project, the main updates on this are usually posted in our thread before the HYPER thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=824499.new#new

If someone comes up with some sort of productive contest i'll donate some C2 for the rewards funds. DM me the idea and i'll hold it if I think that it will be worthwhile Nice. Im in too for a bit of a donation. Im thinking games we can put into the coinstore that utilize the coin2 payments. Have you recieved any other ideas? Well I went and spread the word about using the API on coinstore to some game developer communities.. hopefullly it will do some good, lol but it would be mighty helpful for people to post around game developement forums about using coinstore to integrate coin2 and try to explain the benefits, thats a good idea in itself. Lol everytime I do the moderaters boot me off the forum. King give me some actives ones and im on it lol.. maybe not so much as use the words bitcoin, or crypto currency paired together.. try "virtual currency" it throws their defenses down where their so against bitcoin.

Ok I havent had as much time as I would have liked to work on this today, but I have a few more hours I can spend on it to do the windows, tomorrow I will begin the entry way to the room, no clue how it will look, haven't seen it or anything so I get to make it up. Should also begin texturing tomorrow. The screenshot for the moment is showing that I've completed the room layout, finished the concrete flower, made the lighting a little better so things can be seen and modified the colors a bit to make it so its easier to see.

This is all great news....dbo.com is money. And happy birthday kalisto.
Yes especially if the original developers create Dragonball Online 2 in the next 6 months.. they will want the domain and I don't plan on coming off it easily.
|
|
|
Well I finally found us a Windows Vps to run the dragonball online servers from. In the process we also acquired DBO.com, how great is that?
Kalisto's birthday was also 2 days ago, sorry I forgot to mention it.
I have been working to improve my internet signal by putting up some antenna's in the yard. I have 3G internet from a cell phone company.. not very good but does the job.
Things should start moving at a steady pace again, and I should have a model update by tomorrow night. Didn't have much time to work on it for the last couple days. Tomorrow I plan on spending at least 6 - 8 hours on it, not much to go other than the right side of the room, the entrance, windows in the ceiling and texturing.
Just keeping everyone updated as to what has been going on.

Ok forget what I said about it being up tomorrow afternoon...
Got done with what I was doing early, so the Coin2 wallets on CoinStore are back up and running now.
|
|
|
so I have been working a bit on the model, added some coloring to it before I do the actual texturing, was getting a bit hard to see things with white on white. Moving on to other things, the Coin2 wallet for CoinStore has been been taken down for maintenance. It should be back up and running by tomorrow afternoon. Just letting everyone know before they start PM'ing me or OldandGrey about it.

Hi King. You have pm
<edit> You've got two now lol
responded, i knew it was coming, lol

All that is, is someone trying to hold the price down to pick some more up. If you are going to sell that isnt the way to do it. BTW its not me. Would not even consider letting go at this price, be funny if someone ate it up. If that happens....look out
I kinda figured that, would be completely awesome if someone were to eat that order, lol. Anyway I wrote you back with a download link to the files you were missing.
