381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin Require Regulations? on: May 30, 2014, 03:57:22 PM
The protocol itself can't be regulated unless the majority of users agree to it, so "no".  The only thing that can be regulated are the entry and exit points when you convert to and from fiat.

And that's exactly what will happen. No point trying to fight it really. May as well accept it of part of reality really.

Eventually even regulating exchanges won't matter.  More trades will just be done peer-to-peer and they can't regulate that.  If they can't stop p2p filesharing, it stands to reason they can't stop p2p money.

They cant really stop them but filesharing is still illegal and youll be punished if caught.
382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kevin Newman (CTV NEWS) says bitcoin is the financial story of our time. on: May 30, 2014, 03:07:02 PM
I really really really hope it does become the financial story of our time. It should, but you know what people are like.
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin VS Gold :who is the winner ? on: May 30, 2014, 02:30:23 PM
Hmm I wonder why silver is not talked about, when it has more practical uses than gold?

What does it have that gold doesnt? I guess everybody sees silver as second best to gold.

I must admit, when I first read the Willy Report I thought Bitcoin would take a massive hit but it didnt really budge.

Your post doesn't currently have the link, here it is:
http://techcrunch.com/2014/05/26/bitcoin-rallies-as-allegations-of-trading-irregularities-swirl

...bitcoin transaction volume isn’t up.
Not that long ago Satoshi Dice was responsible for well over 50% of all transactions on the blockchain.
Primedice doesn't hit the network for every bet (thank goodness), and the activity at Satoshi Dice is much lower.
To have a "consistent range of between 50,000 and 75,000 per day" of (mostly) real transactions is a major increase compared to the past. I'm expecting the numbers will grow again soon.

Wait, did every single bet on Satoshi Dice go on the blockchain?

Yeah, but look what happened to the blockchain app on iphones. Apple approved that then it went bye bye.

With that don't you think that will allow him to get a nice chilled place to spend whatever time he serves and then be re-assesed jsut before his times up?

How do you work that out? They're not saying hes crazy nor is that his defense.

It is physically impossible for pigs to look up into the sky, Is this useful knowledge?

Is that truthful information?
How is this not useful, if you plan on ambushing a pig?

When would you ever need to ambush a pig?

Don't farmers do that?

Perhaps Bear Grylls does?

What are you talking about?. It farts!

Is david guetta excited about "Capital Summertime Ball 2014"?

1 What farts?

2 I have no idea. Why don't you tweet him and ask?
David Guetta is overrated, isn't he? I mean DJ's are just changing a few tunes.

Overted maybe, but he also produces his own songs, does he not?
389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin just a stepping stone to something better? on: May 10, 2014, 06:30:49 PM
Bitcoin might be a stepping stone but only if something comes along that improves on it.

I think that he is a member here and might actually be posting from time to time. You can't really know if a member is actually him.
I would stay hidden in the community as well.

Maybe he's Phineaus Gage? lol
This would be really surprising.  Everyone would be somewhat like this:

I don't think that it is P.G., or 'satoshi' is really good in changing the way that he writes.

lol but didnt satoshi change the spelling of words he used?

398  Other / Off-topic / Re: Worst Movies You Have Ever Watched on: April 29, 2014, 08:13:48 PM
Just about any chick flick is bad.

Sat through "bridges of Madison County" with the wife and it was all I could do to keep from hurling half digested popcorn all over the room.

"Joe" was bad. "The Lone Ranger" was horrible.

Most of those B horror movies and sci-fi are bad. "Hatchet" for example. Got to agree with "After Earth" being bad. That Smith kid cannot act but thinks he's a hot shot now.

"The devinci Code" and the first Hobbit movie made me sleep in the theatre.

A couple of people have said Joe is good in this thread.

Dude Where's My Car would be my pick. Just terrible. Awful.

So just because he couldn't locate his car, he made a movie out of it? That explains your frustration lol Grin

Aliens took it.

Yep. Aliens. They needed the continuum transfunctioner and just ugh. It was god awful. Don't watch it!

lol. Sounds awesome.. not.
400  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much of a role does alcohol play in your lives? on: April 26, 2014, 03:48:54 PM
i don't understand it, but i accept it. also, there is nonalcoholic beer that people drink..

Yuck! Non-alcoholic beer tastes really horrible. I had it 2-3 times in the past. Extremely bitter and leaves a bad taste. I will never try it again. Alcoholic beer tastes much better, and is less expensive.

It's the other way round.
